The ship's hum drifts you away from the chaos outside. Unexpectedly, none of the noise seems to reach you here and for a moment, the galaxy outside seems to have disappeared. A temporary, lulling reprieve for the aches that have found a home in your bones since the start of the war.
A part of you wishes for no one to bother you ever again, to simply live in peace. It is possible, you suppose. To leave it all and return home to the comfort of your home. The guilt however, would surely eat you alive.
Deny as you might, it drives you insane. It somehow pushes all the buttons and pulls all the strings, all at once. The endless chatter of arguments and unyielding animosity is a stark difference than what you'd imagine life at the Senate would be.
Staring up at the ceiling your mind wanders, to home, to your parents and eventually to him.
Much to your dismay, you haven't had the chance to return back home. Each trip scheduled for your home planet as of late is always cancelled at the last minute, thwarted by the next issue at the Senate. The past few rotations are quiet too,barely any news came from the frontlines, even to the Senate.
As of now, your comlink also remains void of any updates from him, a rare occurrence for the both of you. Holding on to the small tendrils of hope, you tell yourself that no news is good news, and the force is indeed with him each step.
Princess?â A familiar voice snaps you out of your spiral.
âWe've landed. Shall we make a move for your apartments?â asks Edwina.
Edwina. Oh, she's truly godsend. She and alongside the rest of your handmaidens are your tether to reality amongst this chaos.
They all fuss at how tense and anxious you are, blaming it on how overworked the Senate makes you.
Although you're certain Edwina knows about you and him, she mentions no word of it to the rest of them. She says no word of how each time the comlink beeps, you peer over to check it. She says no word at how your face and form falters when it's not him, yet beams when it is.
Gods, what you would give to hear his voice right now.
Edwina moves to help you, ensuring you slip on your shoes correctly, smoothing out your clothes and hair, making you somewhat presentable as the other handmaidens work to pack your things around the room.
The lack of answers from you isn't unusual for Edwina or any of them these days.
With the Senate practically disintegrating, calls for your return home have increased tenfold. Your parents have no desire to let their child fight for a losing cause, neither did your people.
Yet, here you are. Running isn't an option. Not when he is fighting on the frontlines, risking his life each time when Jedi are meant to be peacekeepers, not soldiers. Yet, they have surely become synonymous.
Soon though, the war will escalate, that much is certain. If the war reaches Coruscant, you'll have to leave for home, and might never see him again.
Will you ever see him again?
Vinnieâs gaze falls on you as you slip on the pair of gloves she hands to you. âAre you alright, Princess?â her gentle voice prods.
âHmm? Just exhausted.â you reply, cringing at the sceptical look she shoots you.
To soothe her worries you reassure her, âNothing a good night's sleep can't fix, Vinnie.â
Truthfully, no amount of sleep could fix this and even Vinnie knows it.
â
Standing in the middle of the living room is a figure whose silhouette you know all too well. All tall and broad shoulders. His robes are clean and freshly pressed, he seems alive and well.
âPrincess.â he greets you, voice gentle and laced with desperation and longing.
âAniâŠ.â Without hesitation, you run to him. Anakin wraps his arms around you, pulling you tight to him. Your arms wrap around his waist while you bury your face in chest. He smells clean, like freshly done laundry.
âI missed you, my girl.â he says into your hair. Anakin pulls away slightly, lifting up your chin and trying to get a look at his beloved.
âPrincessâŠ.what are these tears for, hmm?â asks Anakin, wiping away the tears spilling down your cheek with his thumb.
âIâm alright and Iâm here, just like I promised, baby.â
He leans in, forehead against yours as he whispers "Everything's alright, my sweet girl. Everythingâs alright.â
No words escape you as you sob. The relief washing through your body has rendered you speechless. The hours and sleepless nights of you pondering upon his safety has hit you all at once.
Your legs give out beneath you and Anakin gently brings the both of you to the floor. He peppers kisses all over your face, brushing away the strands of hair from your face and tucking them behind your ears.
âIâm sorry.â you laugh out through your sobs. âPlease tell me youâre alright. Tell me youâre back with the same number of limbs you left with.â you say, desperation and concern seeping through each word.
Anakin laughs softly, his boyish grin melting your heart. âYes, princess. Still only have one missing hand, the other limbs are still here.â
He unclips the cape around your neck, letting it fall off your shoulders. Anakin takes your gloved hands in his and carefully pulls off your gloves before bringing your hands to his lips. He places gentle, revering kisses all over your knuckles and wrists.
With a boyish grin, he says âDonât think any warâs gonna take me away from you, princess. Iâm always gonna come back, even if I have to crawl. Canât have you lonely now, can I?â.
Anakin leans in, lips dangerously close to yours. He hesitates for a moment but abandons his reason and pulls you in a searing kiss. His kisses are passionate and desperate, filled with fervor and devotion as his hands cups your face. The kiss has you trying to catch your breath and keep up with him.
âI need you.â he whines once he pulls away, desperate.
âYou have me.â you reply, lust lacing each word.
Anakin pulls up and leads you over to the plush settee. He lets you climb into his lap before pulling you into another hot, searing kiss.
Arousal floods your body and you move your hips slightly, trying to get relief on his clothed cock. The movement has him groaning into the kiss, his cock grows impossibly harder than before. You canât wait any longer, and neither can he.
âAniâŠ. Please, I need you..â you whimper out.
Anakin somehow manages to free his cock from the confines of his pants. The head glistens with precum, hard and heavy for you. He pushes aside your panties and slides himself slowly inside you, mouth hanging open as he watches himself slip inside.
âI miss this, princess.â He groans out as he thrusts into you.
The stretch burns deliciously, months of not having him inside your pussy made you forget how good his cock was. Kriff, heâs massive. He stretches you out so much, every inch splits you open as he pushes himself deeper inside you.
âAni⊠So big..â you whimper
Throwing your head back, you moan. The pleasure and pain sends your body into a fritz. Anakin too nearly cums at how tight you are, it's been too damn long since he had you. Countless nights, he hid away and tried to relieve himself with his hand. Unfortunately for him, his hand pales in comparison to you.
Anakin moves his hips and thrusts up into you, desperate to bury himself deep inside you. His pace is unhurried and sensual. His cock hitting that sweet spot inside you that has you turning into a moaning mess. Grasping the sides of his face, you lean into kiss him as he fucks you.
A particularly deep thrust has you whimpering and clenching down on his cock, earning a groan from his lips. âYouâre so damn tight, princess. My pretty girl, I donât think I can last long, itâs been too long.â He says, voice breathless and laced with lust.
Anakin grunts with each thrust as he fucks you faster and harder. The force has moaning his name over and over. Itâs too much, heâs too deep and too big, yet it feels so good.
The coil within you snaps, your body trembles as you lose yourself to the pleasure. Your walls clamp down hard on his cock, pushing him over the edge. He cums, grunting as he shoots his seed deep inside you, covering your walls in his thick and white cum.
By the time he finishes rutting into you, youâre still trembling from the force of your orgasm. Only his cock could make you like this. Youâre limp in his arms, pliant as ever as you try to catch your breath.
âPrincess, you with me?â He asks gently, rubbing up and down your arms. He earns a simple nod as a response, when you bury your face in his neck.
His cock isnât softening, you can still feel his hard cock inside you. âIâm not done with you, princess.â He says in your ear, hands moving up and down your clothed body.
Playfully you reply, âGive me a minute, Skywalker. Donât think I have it in me right now.â
âWell, Iâm inside you right now.â He quips back lightheartedly.
âYouâre hopeless arenât you, Skywalker?â
âFor you? Always.â

Pairings: Sub Anakin Skywalker x Senator reader
Summary: after Anakin is assigned as your body guard. The tensions build, catching him jacking off in your office. You hear him, deciding to teach him a lesson.
Warning/s: mommy kink, masturbation, pet names, p in v, overstim, nipple playâŠ
Author's notes: This was fun to write, way longer than I expected. But hope you enjoy, requests are open guys.
You sighed, stepping past the doorway into your chambers. Running your fingers through your hair, unweaving the elaborate hairstyle. Your handmaidens had put together meticulously. Letting the braids fall into loose waves, the tension on your scalp easing.
You shrugged off your camisole, the light fabric sliding down your shoulders. Before tossing it into the laundry hamper. Rolling out your shoulders you walked over to your liquor cabinet. Grabbing a wine glass, and your favourite bottle. Pouring yourself a glass, taking a long sip. You walk over to your office, you slowly slide the door open. Freezing as soon as the word, âmommyâ meets your ears. Followed by harsh pants, leaning against the doorframe. Your gaze fixated on the Jedi Padawan located in your chair, with his lean hand. Wrapped around his surprisingly girth cock, pumping his shaft up and down. The sheen layer of his precum coating his length, and the noise echoed throughout your office. âOh y/n! Mommy,â the words escape his pretty lips.
You hum softly, clicking your tongue against the roof of your mouth. Anakin was too lost in pleasure to hear you, his orgasm washing over him. Seed splattering across your desk, he whimpers. Curling in on himself, as his cock throbbing in his hand.
âI certainly hope youâre going to clean that,â you speak up. Sipping on your glass of wine, Anakinâs eyes widen in obvious surprise. His eyes looking like they were going to pop out of the sockets. His cheeks flushing a bright red, comparable to that of a tomato.
âY/n! I- uh- I,â he stutters. Stumbling out of the chair, covering his privates. Grabbing a handful of tissues, wiping at your desk. âI- Iâm so sorry. Iâm so sorry,â his eyes tear up in embarrassment. While you walk over to him, âI-â you cut him off by cupping his face.
âWould you calm down please?â He whimpers in response to your words, his hands clamping over his cock. His legs folding under him, as he looked up at you. With those big, blue watery eyes.
He nods, âmâ sorry. Iâm so, so sorry.â He whispers, breathlessly. His body trembling ever so slightly. A few tears spilling over his waterline. He wipes his hand off on his thigh, slowly reaching for your wrist. Gently wrapping his fingers around it, waiting for you to protest. When you donât, he leans into your touch. Closing his eyes, trapping his bottom lip with his teeth. âDo you⊠hate me now?â He mumbles, sheepishly.
Your brows pull together, âno of course not.â You reply, while running your thumbs along the path his tears had made. Wiping away the salty trail, his eyes slowly fluttering open. Looking up at you, with those puppy dog eyes.
âYou donât?â He questions in disbelief, his pupils expanding.
âOf course not, though I must admit. I am a tad curious,â twirling his Padawan braid around your finger. He bites his lip again, watching you intently.
âCurious?â He repeats, his eyes raking over your features.
âYes, itâs not everyday that I come home to my assigned Jedi body guard. Jerking off in my chair, sweetheart.â His cheeks flush at your blunt recollection, but he spaces out when you call him âsweetheart.â His eyes squeezing shut.
He gulps down the lump in his throat, âIâm sorry. I didnât mean to,â he excuses.
âStop apologising,â you grip his chin. âYou didnât mean too?â Your brow raising, âyou accidentally rubbed one out, hmm?â You teased, making him squirm. He tried to rise a little, but his shaky legs couldnât support his weight. You set your wine glass on the table, releasing your grip on him. Sitting down on your chair, while Anakin remained in his kneeled position. Right in front of your lap, looking up at you. You leaned back, âshow me.â You order, looking down at him.
He blinks rapidly, âpardon?â
You sigh through your nose, âshow me how you touch yourself.â You order, looking down at him. His eyes widening when he fathoms what you are asking of him.
He looks down at his crotch, âyou want me to touch myself⊠while you watch?â He clarifies in disbelief. You nod, amused by his reaction. His cheeks flushing bright pink. As he hesitantly wraps his right hand around his cock. His other hand still clinging to your wrist. He whimpers softly, slowly pumping his sensitive cock.
Looking up at you for approval as he starts humping his fist. Resting his heavy head on your knee. His plump bottom lip trembling, âmommy.â He whines, and you rake your fingers through his hair. His body trembling as your nails lightly graze over his scalp, sending shivers down his spine. His gaze flicks down to his arching tip, he was rubbing raw. Begging for release, âmommy Iâm gonna cum.â He buries his face into your plush thigh. His words laced with his need for your approval and permission.
You tilt your head, looking down at him. âYeah?â You ask, a mocking tone to your voice. He nods rapidly, hearing the slick sounds of his hand stroking his cock ferociously. His lip trembling, his wide eyes watering. You take your fingers through his short hair, tugging softly. âCum,â you order.
On command his cheeks flush, âahh!â He yelps, his warm seed spurting from the blushing tip once again. Coating all over his fist and onto your dress, he whimpers. Collapsing in on himself in exhaustion. Panting to catch his breath, his chest heaving.
You look down at the mess he made on your dress and all over his lap. Watching him slump against your thigh, âmmm⊠donât get too relaxed. Iâm not done with you yet darling.â He pipes up at your words, looking up at you lazily.
âThereâs more?â He asks softly, his tone pitchier. You chuckle softly at his question, his naivety exposing itself. You place your arms under his shoulders, into the crook of his armpits. Scooping him up, sitting him atop the furniture. He gasps as it meets the sensitive skin of his butt, tugging off his pants and boxers. He watches you intently, his head cocked to the side in interest.
âYes, thereâs more.â Your eyes rake over his features, all the way down to his semi-hard cock. âIf thatâs what you want?â He nods, enthusiastic but still tired from his multiple orgasms. You continue undressing him, âneed words Ani.â You press lightly.
He clears his throat, a little embarrassed at his apparent eagerness. âYes, sorry yes definitely.â He nods, slower this time. Helping you pull his shirt over his head, laying him onto his back. He shivers making contact with the desk, âwhat now?â He mumbles, looking up at you.
You turn away, lifting your hair up. âMind unbuttoning me sweetheart?â His eyes widen, sitting up immediately.
âOf course,â he mutters. Gently unbuttoning each one, till your dress started sliding down your shoulders. He gently pushed your sleeves down, watching your dress pool by your feet. Leaving you in your undergarments. You catch his eyes raking over your form as you turn back to face him. Reaching out to cup his cheek, slowly pushing him back down onto his back. You watch his wide eyes take in your form as you reach back, unclasping your bra. Letting it slide down your shoulders, and to the floor. With a soft âthud,â Anakinâs cheeks flushing a brighter pink at the sight of your bare breasts. His licks his lips absentmindedly, coating them in a light layer of his saliva. Glistening from the lights in your office, his arms tremble. With the overwhelming urge to touch you. âC- can I?â He pants.
You raise a brow, tauntingly. âCan you what?â You question, hooking your thumbs in the waistband of your panties. Slowly dragging them down, watching his gaze follow your motion.
He swallows down the lump in his throat, âcan I⊠touch you?â He all but whispers, his gaze flickering between your exposed mound and your breasts. You hum in response, keeping him on the edge of his seat. Before nodding, to which he instantly sits up. His erect cock hitting the soft skin of his lower stomach, making his breath hitch. His big hands slowly reach out, meeting your eyes. As he cups your breasts, looking back down at them. He softly kneads the flesh, watching it pool between his fingers. Making you let out a soft moan, and he trembles from the sound. His sore cock throbbing.
He gulps slowly, as your panties pool by your feet. He canât help but cast his gaze further down, finally meeting your pussy. A small whine escapes his parted lips, making you chuckle softly.
âHaving second thoughts?â You speak up, breaking the silence. He immediately shakes his head.
âNo, no, no.â He huffs out, looking up at you. Eyes wide and full of wonder, âplease?â He pleads, his voice soft. Just above a whisper, you nod.
âOkay darling,â slowly pushing him back onto his back. He whimpers softly as his back meets the surface of the desk, parting his legs wider. You smile softly at his reaction, running your hands up his thighs. Squeezing the soft flesh, making him moan.
You climb onto the desk, hovering over him. Before sitting yourself on his lap, straddling him. Just below his aching member. He whimpers, clutching onto your hips. âMore please,â he whines. Making a subtle smirk tug at your lips, you raise yourself. His hands following your hips, as one of your own grasp his cock tightly. âUhh,â he gasps. His hips bucking instinctively. You slowly glide the tip along your fold, his precum smearing along the skin. âAhh⊠mmm⊠mommy.â He whimpers at the stimulation, his eyes squeezing shut.
âYouâre doing so well for me baby,â you speak up. Guiding the tip to your slick entrance, slowly lowering yourself onto his length. Making him gasp, as you feel his thick cock part your walls.
âOh, hnnng.â His fingers dig into your hips, bucking a little. His eyes still squeezed shut as he pants, whimpering as you bottom out. Moaning softly, you tip your head back. Starting to rock your hips slowly, âoh fuck.â He whimpers, âfeels so good mommy.â You start picking up speed, the sound of skin slapping skin echoing in the room. You place your hands on his chest for support. Bouncing on his cock faster, feeling it throb inside of you. Too caught up in your pleasure to realise he was grabbing at your breasts. âMmm⊠mommy mâ gonna cum!â
You ignore his whines, continuing your pace. Before you know it his hot seed pumps into your pussy. Coating your walls white with his cum. You keep going and he starts squeezing your boobs, clinging on. âMommy! Sâ too much,â he whines. His body trembling, from his release.
âStop whining,â you reply. Riding him harder, he whimpers. Kicking his legs, feeling your walls tighten around his length. Tipping you head back as your orgasm washes over you. Your walls clamping around Anakinâs length, making his cum again with a cry. You slow down, catching your breath from your climax.
Anakin pants, trying to recover from his climax. Eyes transfixed on your genitals, watching his cock soften inside you slowly. His hands gripping your breasts, running his thumbs along your nipples. He slowly sits up, looking up at you. âWowâŠâ he whispers breathlessly. He looks down at your nipples, âcan I?â He asks softly, a little drool escaping the corner of his mouth. You nod, and he immediately latches his mouth onto your nipple. Encasing his soft lips around it, sucking softly. As he kneads the flesh of your breasts, squeezing and tugging.
You look down at him, running your fingers through his hair. âWell⊠we better get you cleaned up, little Jedi.â You whisper.

(bonus points if you can make it angsty and fluffy)
As Easy As Breathing
Hi nonnie! Thank you so, so, so much for this rec! Itâs my first one on this account and itâs really quite the christening. Hope its okay, Iâm not the best at angst!Â
Pairing: Padawan!Anakin Skywalker x Padawan!Reader (Star Wars)Â
Requested: Yes | No
Warnings: none!! Should be all good, let me know if you caught anything I may have missed. Not beta read!Â
Words:Â 1.8k
Authorâs Notes: Anakin is canonically 19 in AOTC, reader is the same, maybe a year younger. Clone Wars have not yet started in this fic, Iâm just assuming PadmĂ© and Anakin stayed besties after the whole nonsense in Phantom Menace.
The warm sun filtering through the windows fell upon Anakinâs face, in a soft moment of solitude, the sounds of the Coruscant cityscape provided him with a brief reprieve to PadmĂ©âs chastising. He often thought that his ability to talk to PadmĂ© about anything was his strength, but in this moment he couldnât help to think of it as a weakness. Anakin cringed as PadmĂ© continued to berate him; On a rare afternoon off the nineteen-year-old padawan found himself lounging on the senatorâs couch.Â
âSeriously Anakin, you should just-â PadmĂ© stilled, her slender hands finding her hips, huffing, she continued, âAre you even listening to me, Ani?â The forceful tone on his nickname got Anakinâs attention once again.Â
âI am!â Anakin raised his eyebrows in addition to his hands, in mock surrender. âI swear PadmĂ©!âÂ
The senator found it easy to roll her eyes at his antics, like always. But she could see the change in Anakin, could see how his emotions for his fellow padawan learner have caused conflict in him. Her friend wasnât sleeping, he wasnât eating. PadmĂ© knew Anakin was an intense person, a strong personality, everyone knew that about him. But this, this was different. He seemed lost, like he was missing something he needed to operate. PadmĂ© found her way to the couch, sitting beside Anakin, grabbing his tanned, calloused hands in her own.Â
âAnakin, if you do truely care this strongly for her, you must tell her.â Anakinâs eyes found PadmĂ©âs own. âIt would be cruel, to withhold this love.â There was a time in Anakinâs life where this is all he wanted, being with PadmĂ© and he knew his nine-year-old self would be so excited by innocent hand holding. But his nineteen-year-old self was happier to have such a strong, nonjudgemental friend.Â
âHow did you know that you loved SabĂ©?â Anakin asked gently, knowing how the senator safeguarded her relationship with her handmaiden fiercely.Â
Anakin noted how PadmĂ© seemed to glow at the mention of her lover. A warm smile graced her pink lips, eyes crinkling at the sides, a faraway glaze coated her sparkling eyes. Her signature in the force felt warm, it wrapped around Anakinâs brain, made him feel safe. PadmĂ©âs love for SabĂ© was so tangible it extended outside herself, adjusting her force signature.Â
âI realised I loved SabĂ© when being around her became a necessity, an honesty, a truth that I did not know I was constantly seeking out.â PadmĂ© gushed, a light trail of pink lit itself over her high cheekbones and freckled nose. âI felt as if SabĂ© had breathed new life into me everytime I saw her, it was natural, it was right.âÂ
Anakin was quiet for a moment, PadmĂ© became worried that she had overstepped somehow, projected to far onto Anakinâs feelings.Â
âLoving y/n is as natural as breathing.â He replied.Â
Anakin rolled over on his hard, standard issue, Jedi temple bed. A sleepless night was not uncommon for him, but this felt inherently different. PadmĂ©âs words from earlier in the day rattled around his brain, demanding to be dealt with. Anakin never saw love as a weakness, never saw attachment as weakness. How could he? Love was the basis of the light, the well of Jedi power that Anakin drew from was a labour of love, was purity, was peace, was built with empathy and centered by knowing himself. His love for you did not make him a bad person.Â
But he knew it would make him seem like a bad Jedi.Â
Not knowing your stance on him, on the rule of attachment was slowly eating away at Anakinâs peace.Â
Groaning aloud, Anakin ran his hands down his face.Â
Your head whipped around, anxiously. You knew it was embarrassing that you always looked for him in a crowded room, but you could not help it, you felt as if the force was electric until he calmed it. His signature singlehandedly smothering anything else it came in contact with. Being around Anakin, to you, felt as natural as breathing.Â
âLooking for young Skywalker, are you?â Your master, Mace Windu asks, a small smirk whispers across his face, lightly nudging you in the shoulder. The two of you stood in one of the reception rooms of the Republic building. The Senate was hosting a charity gala with the invite extending to the Jedi temple. So, there you stood, in your best robes, breaking your neck to catch a glimpse of The Chosen One.Â
âNo Master.â You said, quietly. Turning your head away from the powerful Jedi Master to not embarrass yourself further with the luxury of him catching your furious blush. Your master excused himself, laughing, finding Master Plo Kloon.Â
So, you stood there, alone, foolishly searching the room for your fellow padawan, the one that consumed your mind and soul.Â
It wasnât completely unlikely, you reasoned with yourself. You and Anakin were friends, were very well matched, sparring partners. But, Anakin was a good Jedi. A strong Jedi. Following orders wasnât Anakinâs strongest suit, youâd admit. Pondering whether he would disregard the rules of attachment for you, however, was different.Â
Nonetheless, like a junkie craving death sticks, you craved Anakinâs presence, his force signature was all you needed to feel right. The anxiety of the gala was too much. Closing your eyes, tightly, you reached out into the force to find him. Anakinâs signature, golden like it always was flocked to your senses, like always.Â
Opening your eyes, you began to weave through the bustling crowd as quickly as one could who was masquerading as casual.Â
âIâm not going to say anything to her now, PadmĂ©.â Anakin huffed, rolling his eyes and crossing his arms across his chest, defensively. âNot in front of all these people, youâve got to be joking.â He scoffed.Â
SabĂ© giggled quietly, the two women joined their arms at the elbow. PadmĂ© just rolled her eyes at Anakinâs supposed insoclence.Â
Your frame weaving through the crowd in his direction caught Anakinâs eye. He smiled, quikly raised a hand, and was delighted when your devastating smile echoed back.Â
âAnakin.â You greeted him, with a small bow of the head. His name sounded heavenly whenever you deigned to let it fall from your lips. Anakin was convinced he could breathe easier with you around, like he had been purged of something suffocating him.Â
âY/N, this is Sen-â You quickly cut him off, not wanting to hear the name of your rival come from his beautiful mouth. Your jealousy that you held for PadmĂ© reared its ugly head, and you couldnât help to feel shame burn deep inside the space between ribs.Â
âSenator Amidala, a pleasure it is to finally meet you,â You stuck your hand out, awkwardly hoping for a handshake. âAnakin has told me so much.â Cordial. It was a good tactic. You were a good person, a good jedi. You would not succumb to jealousy. Besides, PadmĂ© had other qualities you were far more jealous of than just her nonexistent romantic relationship that you deludedly conjured up in your mind when you tried to sleep at night.Â
âAll good things I should hope.â She smiled, her soft hand finding your own, a small shake. You could empathise with Anakin for falling in love with someone like her. Someone so intelligent, powerful, beautiful.Â
It was not lost on you, the way the senatorâs hand quickly found the one of the woman she stood beside.Â
âThis is SabĂ©.â Anakin started, introducing PadmĂ©âs guest. âPadmĂ©âs hand-â For the second time tonight, but surely not the last, Anakin was cut off.Â
âMy partner.â Senitor Amidala said firmly, though her eyes twinkled with pride. SabĂ©âs own shock manifested itself into a wide smile. The two looked eachother in the eyes and you couldnât help but feel silly. Of course. Of course.Â
For whatever reason, the words you thought you had died swiftly in your mouth, âOh.â was all you managed to get out. âA pleasure to meet you too, SabĂ©.â You tried quickly to save the situation, to save embarrassment. But PadmĂ©âs slight smile, SabĂ©âs coy smirk. You felt like the two Naboo women knew you, saw you. They somehow, in this embarrassing blunder of a meeting had already clocked that you harboured feelings for Anakin Skywalker. It made you feel foolish, moreso than what you already did.Â
âIf youâd excuse us, Jedi, we have futher business to attend to.â SabĂ© quipped strongly, leading her senator lover to the next group of politicians. The art of smalltalk was something else you could add to the list of PadmĂ©âs items you were jealous of.Â
Anakin turned to you, chuckling. His standard-issue Jedi robes moving effortlessly with his chest. Running a hand through his cropped hair, you felt his eyes scanning your face. You knew your blood would betray you, like it so often did around your friend, rising to the surface of your cheeks, splattering down your neck and chest. Embarrassment clung to you like a rash.Â
âDonât mind them, they like setting me up.â Anakin scoffed, shaking his head.Â
âSetting you up for what?â You asked, eyeing him micheviously. Chatting with Anakin felt natural; He was quick witted and liked challenging you, he was a tease.Â
And, more often than not, a flirt.Â
This was different though, Anakin had an air of nervousness about him. You noticed as your fellow padawanâs large, veiny hands found the way to the back of his neck, rubbing sheepishly.Â
âOh you knowâŠâ He trailed off, looking everywhere except for your eyes, his own blue ones scanning the ornate ceiling of the reception room. âSetting us up to be alone together.â He admitted, squinting as if the words bought him some kind of physical pain.Â
You quirked a brow, your arms quickly crossing your chest - a defensive stance. âWould that be so bad? Being alone together?â The words meant to be teasing, non-serious. But it was too late, the seed was planted in Anakinâs brain.Â
To him, that felt like an admission of sorts, an admission that you wanted him as much as he wanted you. Well, if he squinted it seemed like that.Â
In a tender moment, something rare for Anakin, he reached out. Tucking stray hairs behind your ear, gently following your padawan braid around the cusp of it.Â
âYou know, y/n, that I want nothing more,â He smiled. It was pure, and real. You felt the sincerity in the force, the truth within him. Moreso, you felt your ear burn from the brief contact, felt your heart swell in your chest at the mere thought of being alone in close quarters with him. âI want nothing more than to be alone with you.âÂ
He retracted his hand, but you still felt alight with his closeness. His force signature felt palpable, you were enraptured in his warmth. He was golden. Your golden boy.Â
âWhy donât we go get lost then?â You whispered, scared anything too loud would betray your eagerness. Anakinâs smile split across his face, eyes crinkling and dimples showing. Smirking he placed a strategic hand at the low of your back. He was so incredibly tall, bending over you to whisper back,Â
âAfter you, my lady.â
â--
AN: Hehe all done! Left it open for more if you wanted, but teasing enough to be left as it is! Hope itâs alright and I hope you could enjoy at least some of it <3Â
P.S This is a side account, my main is @mayhemories, so I will be answering any comments with that account but rest assured it is still me :) <3
Much love, El.Â

It's Been A Long Time, Old Friend (Part I) - Unburnt!Darth Vader x Reader

summary: where Darth Vader arrives on the planet of Lianna. Only to discover that the Queen of Lianna was once his old flame during his Jedi years.
"And there you are! You're all set to go your Excellency." Chira, your handmaiden said after putting some final touches to your look.
"Chira, you know you don't have to call me that when we're alone right?" You responded, looking at yourself in the large vanity mirror. Your husband, Kairos, King of Lianna, was having meeting with the Emperor's right hand man, Lord Vader. Ever since your arranged marriage to him, it is expected of you to appear alongside him in his meetings to get a second opinion and to look like an accessory.
Never in million of years you would find yourself in an arranged marriage to a man you've never met, but here you are. Two years after the fall of the Jedi, you've traveled from planet to planet, evading inquisitors from finding and capturing you. There was one day you found yourself in a slave trading operation, where you sold off as a promising bride to your now husband, King Kairos of Lianna. At first, Kairos was hesitant in marrying you since you were a slave, but he had a duty to give his father a long lineage of heirs and his people a beautiful Queen to follow.
However, the marriage had been rocky from the get-go and continued to remain that way. You were never interested in him nor was he into you. No matter how hard you both tried to like each other, and understand one another, you both would always have opposing viewing points and would always clash. Maybe it had something to do with your Jedi beliefs instilled in you or your distaste towards members of royal families, or the fact your husband was a bootlicker for the Emperor and his Galactic Empire, and was a constant supplier for their TIE fighters.
Because of this, you both decided to remain separate from each other from all hours of the day, as you both had your own duties to fulfill. You both eventually agreed to sleep in separate chambers due to how sour the marriage had turned.
As dangerous and stupid of an idea it was at the time, you believed it was somewhat a smart plan on your end to marry a royal family member. The inquisitors couldn't suspect a former Jedi to marry into royalty, right? Luckily, it helps that women who are apart of the Royal Family of Lianna, are expected to wear face paint and makeup to cover up their real identity. A similar practice that derived from the Royal Family of Naboo.
You had also cut yourself off the force right after the rise of the Empire. After Obi-Wan had told you that Anakin had turned to the dark side, you both knew what was expected to come for the both of you. Obi-Wan had gone his separate way, and you followed suit onto your own path.
Now here you were, covered in white face paint, heavy purple eyeshadow, and bright red lipstick embellished your facial features.
Chira assisted you in your royal gown. The gown was a deep purple, adorned with thousands of beads from the waist down. Chira placed your large halo crown onto your head, securing it place.
"Andddddd we're done! It looks like it's time for your meeting!" Chira said, eyeing you up and down, making sure you were looking like royalty.
"Thank you Chira. You are free to leave." You replied. Chira bowed before exiting your chambers.
You met your husband on the landing pad to the palace, where you both awaited for the arrival of Lord Vader.
"Darling, don't you look delightful today." Your husband, Kairos spoke up, lending his arm for you to take.
"Don't I always do?" You quipped, wrapping your arm around his. The whirring sound of a ship approached the landing pad. The door to the ship opened, revealing a line of stormtroopers, as they walked down the ramp. Right behind them, stood the terrifying Darth Vader.
"Ah, Lord Vader, shall we began our discourse?" Kairos spoke up, bowing to him, to which I silently followed his action.
"As always King Kairos." Lord Vader responded. The three of us, alongside the stormtrooper and our guards made our way to the conference hall.
-
The meeting was long and agonizing, as per usual. Kairos would argue for a larger price, the opposing party would try to bargain for a lower price, and yadda yadda.
Though this was your first meeting with the Emperor's apprentice, you have to stay, you weren't as intimidated as you thought you were. Yeah, you've heard grisly stories about the Sith Lord and cruel he can be, but after having to sit 2 hours straight across from him wasn't as bad. However, you did feel small under his gaze. His attention may be focused on your husband, but you couldn't help but sense the seeking glances from the Sith Lord himself from time to time.
"Perhaps we could ask your wife about her thoughts on this matter." Vader's mechanical voice shook you out of your thoughts and brought you back to reality. You looked at your husband, then at Lord Vader, before speaking up.
"Well, I do think it's possible to increase production and have our men producing 20,000 TIE fighters per week the next four weeks with the price of 7,000,000 Imperial credits." You offered, the amount that was way less than what your husband had originally offer, that being 20,000,000. Kairos feigned a smile as he squeezed your thigh in response to your offer, indicating that he was not satisfied with the amount you've offered to Lord Vader.
"We have a deal. I will return in two weeks to see the progress. It was a pleasure doing business with you as always King Kairos." The Sith Lord responded, now standing abruptly from his seat. Both Kairos and I followed suit. Kairos shaking his hand with Lord Vader, sealing the deal.
"And I see you have a wife. From what I recall, I don't remember you being married." The Sith Lord piqued. I adverted my gaze away from Lord Vader's intense gaze. Kairos squeezed my arm before speaking up.
"Well, we haven't been married that long Lord Vader. We had just gotten married shortly after our last meeting, so it's been 4 months." Kairos smiled down at me, to which I returned. "You will see her more often in our future encounters my Lord."
"I look forward to them." Vader responded, eyeing me up and down once more. Kairos and I assist Vader and his stormtroopers to his ship on the landing pad. After watching his ship depart, Kairos releases his arm from mine and walks back inside the palace, into his private chambers. I sigh to myself, watching Lord Vader's ship fly off in the horizon, before making my way into my chambers.
-
He couldn't put a finger on it, but something about you stirred something inside him. He didn't want to stare at you for too long, he knew it would make you uncomfortable, but there was just something about you that seemed familiar. Upon landing on the landing pad, he felt a faint force signature. Though you cut off yourself off from the force two years ago, some parts of you still lingered in the force.
After Vader's departure from the palace, he hadn't left the planet's atmosphere yet. In fact, his ship was on autopilot in the sky as he was busy sending a message to his master to tell him his discovery. Vader had a mission to get rid of every last Jedi, whether it meant to turn them into inquisitors or kill them off entirely.
"Master, it would seem I've made a discovery." Vader spoke to the blue figure on the holotable to his ship.
"And what would that discovery be Lord Vader?" The Emperor's tone sounding a bit impatient at his apprentice's words.
"It would appear that Queen of Lianna could be a force-sensitive individual, Master."
"Is that so my apprentice? What an interesting discovery... Perhaps we could turn her into a pawn, or a weapon... I would keep an eye on this one, Lord Vader. Perhaps she is a lot stronger with the force than we may realize." The Emperor responded, somewhat surprised that a Jedi had found themselves entangled in a royal family.
"Yes my master." Vader responded before the figure of Palpatine disappeared from the holotable. He had a new objective now. Vader wanted to alter the deal now. Instead of visiting in two weeks to check on the progress, he in fact, wanted to oversee the progress every day until he had gotten his TIE fighters. With this, Vader had made his way back to the palace.
-
"Your Majesty! You must come quickly!" Chira, your handmaiden had barged into your chambers. Unsure what was happening, you dropped the book you were reading and followed her.
"What's the matter Chira? Has something happened?" You asked, both of you fastening your pace in the direction of the throne room.
"I-it's Lord Vader. He came back...The King requested your presence." Chira huffed out. Both you and Chira arrived outside the tall doors to the throne room. You took a deep breath and corrected your posture before entering the room. The doors slowly opened, revealing the backsides of numerous stormtroopers and Lord Vader. Kairos, was seated on his throne, talking to Lord Vader when you caught his attention.
"My love, come." Kairos stood up, gesturing for you to come sit in your throne next to his. The stormtroopers and Lord Vader turn around to face you as you hurriedly made your way over to your royal seat.
"I have altered the deal. I will be overseeing the progress on the TIE fighters from now." Darth Vader's voice echoed throughout the room. You nervously looked over at your husband, unsure what he had gotten yourselves into.
"Y-Yes, your Lord. May I ask-"
"There will be no questions. I ask that you will provide my men lodging and meals for the duration of their stay." The Sith Lord interrupted him. To which Kairos could do nothing about nod enthusiastically at Lord Vader's requests. "Tomorrow, you will provide me a tour of your facilities as I will begin to oversee all production of my TIE fighters."
"Of course my Lord." Kairos stood up, bowing to Lord Vader. You sat there, staring at your husband, anxious of what was yet to come.
-
"What the hell was that Kairos?!" You exclaimed. Both you and Kairos were having another one of your disputes in his chambers once again. This time, it was about Lord Vader's little vacation at the palace and overseeing the planet's assets. "When are you going to stop kissing the Empire ass and stand up for yourself for once?"
"I had no choice Y/N! Have you forgotten that Lord Vader and the Emperor are the most cruel and powerful beings in this star system?! They'll cut off my arm if I were to disagree with them." Kairos retorted. You scoffed at the same excuse he had used ever since you brought this topic up. "The Empire is funding our planet. We are an asset to the Empire. We're becoming richer and richer with every TIE fighter and Imperial weapons we sell them. With this, we can help our people."
"I don't know want to hear it anymore Kairos. Our people still suffer at the hands of the Empire, whether it is happening directly or indirectly." You made your way to the door. "You may not see it now, but the damage done to the planet and the people will be irreparable when you come to your senses." With that, you slammed the door your husband's door shut. You huffed out in frustration, your heels clicking on the marble flooring as you stormed toward your chambers. Little did you know, Vader was around the corner, eavesdropping on the argument that you and Kairos had moments ago. The Sith Lord smiled to himself, realizing that he use this to further manipulate the King of Lianna with the knowledge that his marriage was crippling.
-
After taking a long soak in your bath and finishing your nighttime routine, you were eager to get some rest. Shutting the lamp on your nightstand, you began to snooze off.
Images of being in the Jedi Temple began to flood your dreams. Realizing what your mind was doing, you tried to shut down those dreams, worried that it would pull you deeper into the force and down the path of memories that you did not want to relive. But what you didn't know, Darth Vader was in the meditation chambers that the Lianna medical staff and engineers had constructed for the Sith Lord. Darth Vader was using the force to encourage you to reveal yourself. There was something oddly familiar about you that made him curious.
After trying to get into your mind, he couldn't. Either you had nothing interesting going in your mind or that you were really good at blocking him out. Vader knew he had to be careful. He couldn't give away his true intentions to why he was here on the planet of Lianna. Yes, he and Palpatine need the TIE fighters, however this is different now. A force-sensitive woman who was a Queen was the topic interest at the moment. Plus, Vader needed to be away from the Death Star. Staring at the dark gray walls and into hyperspace just wasn't cutting it for him. Luckily the planet of Lianna was filled with lush gardens and vast lakes that Vader and his men could enjoy the duration of their stay.

he was strange. that was the word you decided upon. this jedi knight sent from coruscant to protect you.
he watched you, so intently, and you tried to chalk it up to the protection orderâ but no guard under you before had been so keen on your every breath. so you sat, silent in the study of the safehouse, watching the small fire begin to ember out from its setting and trying to ignore his blue eyes cast down at you.
anakin, that's what jedi obi-wan had referred to him as. when you first heard it, you told him it was pretty. his simple thank you reply seemed fitting at the time, but now, you're almost sure that you must have offended him.
the room settled into a stillness that felt almost oppressive as anakin's eyes bore into you. you left your thoughts of him to refocus on the burning wood, only to stare down at a now lifeless fire. it was as if the flames had mirrored your own sense of isolation, flickering out, leaving you in the dark.
reaching out for more firewood, your hand is abruptly halted in mid-air. you look up to find anakin standing right in front of you, his eyes darkened by the dim light. his voice was low and laced with a hint of frustration. "it's nighttime, princess."
he releases his hold over you, fueled by the force, and you let out a sigh. "i'm sorry. time just slipped my mind. you must be tired."
he responds with a curt huff, his emotions hidden beneath the veneer of his jedi training. you gather your belongings from the study and follow him in silence to your room. this had become a ritual ever since the protection order had been enforced.
for months you have been walking on what seemed to be a very thin glass when around this strange man.
back on your home planet, you were surrounded by loving handmaidens who attended to your every need, engaging in heartfelt conversations, and showering you with affection. but on this mostly deserted planet in the far reaches of the outer rim, anakin was your sole companion. he didn't dote on you, he rarely engaged in conversation, and there was an undeniable absence of warmth in his demeanor.
you missed home desperatelyâyour land, your people, your family. you harbored a deep resentment for the enemies who had invaded and devastated your world. they had stolen everything from you, and in this unfamiliar place, you felt anything but safe.
as the two of you approached your door, you hung back, allowing anakin to check the surroundings before you entered. "it's safe," he announced, still avoiding eye contact. "princess."
you settle onto your bed, now surrounded by your books from the study. anakin's gaze fixed on your collection. you ventured, your voice barely above a whisper, "would you like to borrow some?"
his eyebrows knit together slightly, prompting you to continue. "some of my books? i've noticed you looking at them often."
finally, his eyes met yours. "i'm okay," he replies, and then turns to leave. just as his hand found the doorknob, he adds, "i'll come to fetch you in the morning."
you didn't respond, simply watching him exit and swiftly locking the door behind him. anakin was a puzzle you couldn't decipher. none of your parents' guards had ever acted this way. formality, you were accustom, but this level of rigid apprehension was an entirely new experience.
when you'd first arrived, you had tried to establish some sort of friendship. you were adept at navigating social interactions, having been by your parents' side for political matters since the age of fifteen. you had dealt with all kinds of peopleâbrash, rude, insincere, and kind. but this jedi, anakin, he was unlike anyone you'd ever encountered.
he never strayed far from your side, except for when he slept, yet he managed to disappear into the shadows of any room. even outside, during the few hours he allowed you to venture out, you could feel his presence, his watchful eyes bearing down on you. it was as though you were a gilded prisoner, trapped with a hungry beast waiting for you to falter.
as you drifted into sleep, uneasy thoughts flooded your mind, pushing you into a restless slumber.
the next morning, anakin knocks at your door. he has a signature four knock, with the last being far louder than the others. you assume it's for safety but he's never let you in on the security protocol.
you've been awake for a few minutes and have already dressed, but you take your time before opening your door for him. it was the small things, small rebellions, that you enacted in a diminutive display of mutiny.
"princess." his greeting feels icy cold, despite the adherence to common decorum.
"jedi," you reply, your voice unexpectedly fiery. you had yet to openly express your displeasure with him, but the way his lips twitch for a fraction of a second made you want to challenge him further.
you'd endure anything if it meant he'd stop being so inscrutable.
anakin motions for you to lead the way, and you do, heading toward the small dining room. the table is set with two bowls of porridge placed on opposite sides. it was the same every morning. initially, you had attempted to convince him to let you prepare the food, but he'd stubbornly resisted. perhaps he thought this was the way you were used to, or maybe it was a method of control in his mind. whatever it be, his enforcement of such behavior had grown tiresome.
you found your seat and tried to ignore the weight of his gaze as you ate. the food was plain, but you wouldn't dare complain. perhaps out of fear, maybe a lingering threat that he might lash out, although he never had. but you could feel itâyour fear.
anakin was an enigma, unlike any jedi or man you had ever met. despite being only a year apart in ageâyou, freshly twenty, and he, a young man of twenty-oneâhe seemed worlds apart from anyone you'd encountered before.
you were nearly finished with your meal when he interrupted your thoughts. "we're running low on food and supplies. you'll accompany me to the market today."
his voice was soft, in stark contrast to his nature. "the market?" your question feels foolish as it escapes your lips, but you don't care. you have no knowledge of any nearby market, and the prospect of venturing out into a new environment excited you.
"have you never heard of it?" he asks, his eyes narrowing.
breaking eye contact, you reply, "i have. i was simply unaware there was one here. how far is the walk?"
he inhaled deeply before responding, "about an hour. wear comfortable footwear."
nodding, you decide not to push the conversation further, though curiosity gnawed at you. the prospect of escaping the confines of the safehouse, even for a short while, held a certain allure, and perhaps it was an opportunity to uncover more about your mysterious protector.
anakin leads the way to the bustling market, with a palpable silence the entire walk. the vibrant activity at the market is a stark contrast to the quiet routine of the safehouse. alien vendors peddle their wares, hawking exotic spices and colorful fabrics, and you can't help but feel a rush of excitement as you take in the vibrant scene.
as you navigate through the crowded market, anakin's eyes remain vigilant, scanning the surroundings for any potential threats. it's clear that he takes his role as your protector seriously. you, however, are drawn to the colorful array of stalls and the alien dialects that fill the air. the market feels alive, and for a brief moment, you forget about the weight of your circumstances.
approaching a stall adorned with an assortment of intricate jewelry, you spot a vendor, an older twi'lek woman, tending to her display. her vibrant head-tails sway gracefully as she arranges her wares.
without hesitation, you engage her in conversation, switching to her native language. "kassurra," you say, your voice laced with warmth.
the twi'lek woman looks up, her eyes widening in surprise as she meets your gaze. "kassurra, may ril help vashna," she responds, a smile tugging at her lips.
anakin, standing a few paces away, seems taken aback by your sudden change in demeanor and language. his eyes dart between you and the vendor, a mixture of confusion and curiosity in his expression.
you and the vendor continue to converse, discussing the intricacies of her jewelry and the stories behind each piece. anakin remains on alert, his protective instincts never wavering, but there's a shift in the way he watches you. for the first time, you think he may see a different side of the princess he's been tasked with safeguarding, one that isn't confined by the walls of the safehouse.
anakin watches you, silently observing this unexpected connection that has sparked between you and a stranger in a distant corner of the galaxy.
as your conversation ends, the woman offers you a small pendant with a colorful gemstone, its significance tied to a story of resilience. you're touched by her gesture and purchase the pendant, a tangible reminder of this unexpected encounter.
as you and anakin bid farewell to her and make your way through the market once more, the atmosphere feels different. the air is charged with a newfound sense of connection, and anakin's once rigid demeanor seems to have softened, if only slightly.
you continue to explore the market, and encounter a group of children playing a lively game in a nearby alley. their laughter infectious, and you couldn't resist joining in. anakin watched as you played a simple game of catch with them, your laughter echoing through the alleyways. it was a rare moment, being able to let your guard down and enjoy a moment of pure joy.
as the sun began to dip below the horizon, signaling the approaching end of your visit to the market, you and anakin head back to the safehouse. the journey back was less tense than the trip there, but there was a subtle change in the air. anakin's demeanor, though still guarded, had softened ever so slightly.
back at the safehouse, you settled in the dining room, some fruits you had purchased now adorning the table. anakin, still wearing his jedi stoicism, finally speaks, his voice tinged with a hint of curiosity.
"you seemed⊠different at the market," he says, his eyes fixed on you.
you glance at him, a faint smile playing on your lips. "it's easy to forget the weight of my title when i'm surrounded by such vibrant life. i felt like a person, not just a princess."
anakin nods slowly, as if processing your words. "you should be cautious, though. we can't afford to let our guard down."
you understand his concern, but the brief respite had given you a glimpse of the world outside the safehouse, and you yearned for more. "i know, anakin. but there's more to life than just surviving. sometimes, we have to remember what we're fighting for, and whom."
anakin's gaze holds your own for a moment, and then he nods, a hint of understanding in his eyes. it was a small, almost imperceptible step, but it was a step toward bridging the gap.
the days that followed your visit to the market saw a small transformation in your interactions with anakin. the connection that had sparked between you and the vendor, and the brief moment of joy shared with the children, had left an indelible mark on you. you couldn't help but yearn for more moments like those, moments that reminded you of the vibrant world beyond the safehouse's walls.
anakin, too, seemed affected by the outing. while he remained vigilant in his duty to protect you, there was a new delicacy in his gaze, a flicker of warmth that occasionally surfaced. it was as though the walls he had built around himself were starting to crumble, revealing a person beneath the jedi facade.
one evening, as you both sit in the study, he suprises you by reaching for one of the books on the shelf, a collection of poems from your homeworld. he flips through its pages, his fingers tracing the elegant script.
"these are from your planet, aren't they?" he asks, voice gentle.
you nod, a smile tugging at your lips. "yes, they're poems from my people. would you like me to read one for you?"
anakin hesitates for a moment before nodding. "i'd like that."
as you begin to read one of the poems, the words flow from your lips with ease, carrying the essence of something you miss so dearly. anakin listens intently, his eyes fixed on you, and when you finish, he speaks softly, "it's beautiful, the way your people express themselves."
"thank you anakin, i... miss them very much." and encouraged by his interest, you continue to share more.
he listens, and for that you thank him silently. being able to share a part of you feels freeing, and you wonder at how easily the dynamic had shifted.
but after hours of reading, sharing stories, and talking, openly for once, you can't help but to yawn. anakin notices, "you're tired, we should head to bed, princess."
you want to oppose but the sleep settling into you prohibits the response, "i guess so, but i enjoyed this. i," you try to search for the right words, "i like being able to talk to you like this. i was scared you had grown a resentment for me."
he gives you a curious look, so you continue, "i thought that you may not like me, or rather, this arrangement."
he sighs, "no, it's not that. i just, was scared to say or do the wrong thing. i'm not often left alone with beautiful princesses."
your heart skips a beat at his words. anakin's admission catches you off guard, and you can't help but feel a rush of warmth spreading through you.
with a shy smile, you respond, "i appreciate your honesty, anakin. and for the record, you've never said anything that made me resent this arrangement. in fact, i find our conversations⊠quite refreshing."
anakin's blue eyes meet yours, and you see a softness in them that you hadn't witnessed before. as though the walls that had separated you were crumbling further.
as you both walk to your rooms to retire for the night, there's a newfound sense of closeness between you. he escorts and checks your room, as he always does, but this time, there's a different energy in the air. his protectiveness is still there, but it's accompanied by a tenderness that wasn't evident before.
entering your room, you face him. "thank you, anakin, for today. for everything."
he nods, a small smile gracing his lips. "you're welcome, princess. sleep well."
"you as well." and you do truly mean it.
as you lay in bed, you can't help but reflect on how much has changed between you and the knight. what started as so tense, transformed into something more genuine.
as sleep gradually overtakes you, you can't help but wonder where this journey will lead. the future is uncertain and frightening, but one thing is clearâ you're no longer alone in the safehouse, no longer silently watched. you have something sweet to hold onto, and that, for now, is more than enough.

The fires appeared, reflected from the great towers in waves of orange and red. The very sound of buildings collapsing into fines of dust and ash was the only attention-holder you had from the high floors of the capital. Locked away within a side room, the gold dress pooled in heaps at your feet, as the handmaiden undid the clasps from the tops of your shoulders. The raging sounds of gunfire no longer had the ability to make you react in the form of a jump or to shiver out of fear â it was too normal, too accustomed to this life that had become Bakura. As if there could be any room for it â for the fear, that surely the evil would succumb to and never let go of.Â
âPrincess we must hurry,â your handmaiden Sora cried, tears welling up within her innocent green pupils. She wasnât much older than you, in fact maybe no more than a year or two, and yet her life was sealed, sure to never escape the ruin that would become.Â
âWhy? Theyâre coming. Iâm sure my escape wonât be deemed successful,â you could barely recognize your own voice, so void of hope, of a greater good but rather defeat. Â
âWe must not say things such as that.âÂ
âAnd why not?â you asked, turning to find a pair of tight black pants hanging in her arms, sure to not get caught on anything as if your father was expecting you to run, âItâs not as if they arenât true.âÂ
She gave you the piece of garment, and you took it, aware almost as if you could sense that there was something she wasnât telling you. Rather, was withholding as the intruders marched to the gates of the capital, their sabers and guns fully loaded. Hesitantly, you pulled the garment on just as she offered a long black tunic that was tight around the chest and shoulders, with short sleeves and bracings where the belts would go. She bit down on her lip, and you knew it then. There was something she wasnât telling you.
âWhat is it?âÂ
âIt is nothing to be concerned with. We just must hurry, to ensure your safety.âÂ
âMy safety?â You repeated brows furrowed as her innocent face refused to meet yours. âTell me what it is you know. I ask of it. No, I demand of it. Sora, this is perhaps our last moment in the same room together so please.â
She tried to offer a smile, one of encouragement, as the tunic slipped over your frame and tightened at the back, just like the rest of the corsets you had been wearing since you were no older than thirteen. But it was only sad, her face painted in dried tears as the corners of her lips barely managed to lift.
âThe Jedis have come.âÂ
Hurriedly, the belts were wrapped around your mid-drift and tightened as you waited impatiently, with the sounds of soldiersâ large boots echoing off the floors outside of your room like a steed of chariots. âGo on.âÂ
âThe king will ensure your survival, princess. One of the greatest and his padawan has been sent to ensure your departure will be successful.âÂ
âDeparture? He wishes for me to leave?â you asked, almost in disbelief as her hands dropped from your back.Â
The war only got louder, the walls seeming to shake as the fires only grew outside, catching your gaze once again. The screams were inescapable as Bakura burned to the ground.Â
âHe wishes for you to survive,â she said, tone firm.Â
Your fists loosened, falling to your sides in the devastation that you were expected to flee to survive while the rest of your people burned and were killed⊠their existence sure to mean nothing by the end of the war. The Clone Wars had claimed far too many planets and innocence at that point. An anger, a sense of guilt squelched at your possibility of living while your father, the king, went down with his people, his empire.Â
You didnât wish to be a coward. You didnât wish to flee, even if with it was the promise of survival.Â
It was not fair, yet exactly how the ex-Jedi would deem to have it.Â
They had too much hope for their own good, you thought with a permanent furrow in your brow, tucking the long strands of hair back behind your ears and out of the way. Lips pulled into a fine line, you felt the energy and the particles align as if the force itself was speaking to you, to the Jedi blood coarsing within your pulse.Â
A Jedi must not have any attachments.Â
A Jedi must put others needs before his own.Â
A Jedi must not partake in anger, in fear, or aggression.Â
You bowed your head then, a series of guilt appearing at the mere thought of the Jedi code that still no doubt laced upon the king of Bakuraâs back.Â
In that moment, you hated him for that.Â
With anger suddenly reverberating within your veins and a huff along your parted lips, you took the long black cloak from Sora and wrapped it around your shoulders, slipping your arms in each sleeve. Taking the hood within your nimble fingers, you pulled it up and onto your head, concealing what you could in case the halls had been invaded already.Â
Turning, you shared one last longing glance with the handmaiden, one who had devoted her young life to being a caretaker as well as your source of company. You nodded solemnly, âI thank you for your service to the royal family.â
At that point far aware of the glassiness in her eyes and the loss that had already been stained upon history, you felt the chokeful dread that had a hold of you at that moment. With so much uncertainty, you turned away, fingers grasping the cloak tightly, and left the room. Chambers that once had been yours, but now never would be again.
The brick-tiled floors of the capitalâs hallways were flooded with soldiers of Bakura, the most trusted, all dressed in armor, grey and blue helmets concealing their faces, their identities. A simple nod was sent their way as you turned down the spiraling hallway, feeling as if doom was upon you, a slow march to death though you had been told otherwise. The building shook, the walls quaking with despair as you followed the army up and into the main corridors of the capital, separate from the royal familyâs chambers. The brick turned to grey stone, white towering walls made of metal, and the windows were all concealed behind large doors of steal.Â
You came upon the war room, the place of perpetual decisions, the place you knew he would be the most protected in the capitalâs final moments. Pulse quickening, eyes dazed, you felt it again â the frustration, the immense anger â a type you didnât realize you could ever feel. With narrowed eyes, your hands released around the cloak and up into the air. Waving in the direction of the doors, the doors flung open, slamming loudly. It was almost as if the force was apologetic, leaning into your feelings.Â
Sure enough, as you stepped through the threshold, the king stood near the table, a shield of dark grey armor covering every part of him but his face. A face wrinkled in nothing but despair. Silence overcame the bustle of protectors, and suddenly, you found the eyes of the man at his side.Â
There he was as if like a savior.Â
The Jedi â one of the greatest, and the very man who happened to be your fatherâs closest confidant.Â
Obi-Wan Kenobi.Â
A savior with long hair and pale eyes, dressed in tan tunics of his own, his saber held securely at his waist.Â
You hadnât seen the man since you were a mere child, a man who couldâve very well been an uncle to you and a protector at the headway of your motherâs death only a few years before, and yet he stood there a bewildered look on his face as if he had felt it. Felt your anger from a few rooms away.Â
The king faced you, a look of grief evident, and regret as he noticed the betrayal upon yours. He didnât look away from you as he leaned over and spoke to Obi-Wan. âMy dear friend, I ask of you to take my daughter. You havenât much time as the rebels have just managed to break through the front gates. Time can only be in our favor for so long.âÂ
As Kenobi moved near you, his palm outstretched, you stood your ground, âNo!â
âMy sweet daughterââ
You shook your head, that tightened expression refusing to let up, âI will not just abandon my people, abandon you, my king.â
It was as if the look he gave you then was one of disappointment rather than pride. As if he had wished to raise you to be a coward. Jedis, donât run, you thought. Queens donât leave. âFather, please.âÂ
âY/NââÂ
You interrupted again, âI cannot leave you to die.âÂ
His face fell, the great and powerful king deflating just at the single look on your face â from his greatest love. Sadness swirled within his irises, and though it could have very well been the very last time you would ever look your father in the face, you couldnât move. You couldnât grasp his hand or pull him in for one last embrace. You were far too stubborn. Far too angry, then.Â
He stepped closer, but you only took a step back because this was a fight you wouldnât be able to win as time was wading by each moment; it wasnât something that was in your favor then. He sighed, âI canât fail you too, my child. I failed your mother, and I wouldnât be able to forgive myself if I lost you too.âÂ
Your mouth parted, a single tear falling from your cold steel eyes, just as a burst of static filled your ears. The com-system interlocked upon Kenobiâs waist began to illuminate, and loudly, drowning out everything else as a voice propelled through.Â
âMaster! They are invading. I repeat they are beginning to storm the capital. I donât know how much longer weâll be able to hold them off.âÂ
His padawan.Â
Obi-Wan, held the side button of the com and lifted it to his face, unable to look away from the sad parting between father and daughter, âHold your ground, my strong padawan. Weâll be to you in just a few short minutes.âÂ
As he clipped the com back into place he cleared his throat, âWe must go. Time is falling away from our side. PrincessâŠâÂ
âFather, donât do this.â It was your final plea.
There was nothing left to say.Â
His eyes tore away from yours, and you felt a small part of yourself break then and wither away beneath the confines of your walls. The emotion was gone from his face, weakness shoved away where you could no longer see it. He waved off some of the nearby soldiers to get into position â to be able to escort you and Obi safely to the main entrance.Â
A small whimper fell from your parted lips as he looked then at Obi. âYou must go now!âÂ
Obi nodded but hesitated, feet stopping after a few short steps. He turned, peering over his shoulder to share one last final look with the former Jedi.Â
âI commend you, my dear friend,â your father wished farewell, his hand lifting up near his face and down as if in a form of respect, âMay the force be with you.âÂ
âAnd you, my king,â he returned, before approaching you with fast steps, his hand taking a hold of your forearm firmly.Â
âNo, no, please,â you cried out, trying to fight Obi-Wan as he began to pull you from the room. You tried as the fleeting image of your father across the room is all you would have in departing, his glare somehow hard and cold, âFather!âÂ
The doors slammed shut in your face, echoing like a final coo of death. You collapsed in the Jediâs arms, all exertion and passion gone from the confines of your chest. Nothing would remain.Â
Peering up, slumped against his figure, the halls were bathed in darkness. The electricity had been cut, yet the alarms remained, loudly echoing, screaming in agony while the light the dark red reflected across your skin â somehow matching the anger and rage that pulsed within your body. A sense of resentment for the king, for this Jedi who pulled you through the halls, leading you away from your death, from your planet, from your former life.Â
Bakura was destined to burn that night, to fall, to whither into ashes, and yet its future queen would not. All that remained was anger, frustration, and resentment.

The Garden We Grew Together

Pairing: Padmé Amidala x Female!Reader
Genre: Romance Hurt/Comfort.Canon Divergence. Emotional Slow Burn
Authors Note: I absolutely loved writing this.
The Garden We Grew Together
Naboo was a planet of water and peace, but your earliest memories of it were tangled in laughter and petals. You grew up alongside PadmĂ© Naberrie in the quiet lake country â not quite royalty, not quite nobility, but close enough in grace and brilliance to become something the galaxy would remember.
As children, you and Padmé had shared everything: lessons beneath the blossom trees, secret snacks during long council lectures, dreams whispered under starlight. She had always been radiant with eyes like twin moons and a heart too large for any one world to hold.
She was destined for greatness. You saw it before anyone else.
You followed her to Theed, her first campaign trail, her queenhood. Not as a handmaiden, but as a quiet companion â the one who knew her before the regality. The one who held her hand when the crown felt too heavy.
But as her light grew, you pulled back, always just far enough not to cast a shadow. Because you loved her. And she didnât know.
Or maybe⊠she did.
Coruscant:Years Later
You came to Coruscant during the early days of the Senate, working quietly under a delegation from Nabooâs countryside, always within a breath of her orbit. She never stopped calling you for tea. For walks. For hours spent talking about nothing.
And then he arrived.
Anakin Skywalker. The Jedi protector. The chosen one.
You watched her smile shift. Watched it bloom in new ways â nervous, aching, drawn to a danger she never had the luxury to entertain before.
He was intense, and you well, you couldnât compete with the legend.
So you said nothing. Not even when she looked at you with uncertainty in her eyes. Not even when she would brush your fingers a little too long or when she clutched your letters to her chest after every deployment.
You held her in friendship (broke quietly every time she left.)
War and Silence
The Clone Wars were cruel. You stayed on Naboo, working in diplomacy, away from the blood and the battles. But your heart was still at war â watching the woman you loved suffer, standing behind the veil as her world crumbled.
You didnât even know she was pregnant.
No one did.
And then, as if the Force had gasped â she died.
Or so you thought.
You grieved her. Mourned her like the galaxy did. Padmé Amidala, dead with the Republic. Another casualty in a war of shadows.
You cried every night for a month. And then, because grief is strange, you planted a garden.
The same one from childhood. In the same Lake Country villa. You made it exactly like she liked it â moon lilies, flame trees, water-vines curling over the pergola.
You visited it every day. You talked to her.
Until she answered.
Three Years Later: The Garden
âYouâre real,â you whispered the first time you saw her again. Frail, hidden under a cowl, standing in the garden like a ghost with a heartbeat.
âI had to disappear,â she said. âI had to protect them.â
Them?
Then, from behind her skirts, two small children peeked out. A boy and a girl. Wide eyes. Curls like hers.
You almost fell to your knees.
âTwins,â she said quietly. âLuke and Leia.â
You didnât ask about Anakin. She didnât offer anything more.
What mattered was she was alive. And she had come home.
The Long Healing
PadmĂ© didnât expect you to stay. But you did.
At first, it was just visits. Helping with the twins, soothing nightmares, planting more flowers. But over time, your visits turned into weeks, then months. Then she asked you to stay â with tears in her eyes and a quiet confession:
âI loved you before I even understood what love could be.â
And you â you had waited a lifetime to hear that.
Kisses were shy at first. Gentle. As if the world would crack beneath the weight of joy. But love bloomed between you like wildflowers â resilient, tender, eternal.
The children called you their mother within a year.
The Wedding
It was simple. Private. Just Bail Organa, Sabé, and the children holding flower crowns they made themselves.
PadmĂ© wore a dress she had saved from her time as Queen â a symbol, she said, of the woman she was when she first loved you. You wore something she had sewn from Naboo silk and laughter.
When she said, âI do,â her voice trembled. Not with fear. With certainty.
âIâve waited my whole life to come home to you,â she whispered as she kissed you. âYou are the peace I never found in politics or war. You are the garden I grew my hope in.â
Now
Years later, the garden is bigger. The twins run through it barefoot, laughing. Padmé reads to them in the afternoon sun, and you watch from the bench with a cup of sweetleaf tea, heart full.
She still reaches for your hand when sheâs nervous. You still leave pressed flowers in her books. Some nights, she cries â for all she lost. But now she never cries alone.
âI never thought I could have this,â she murmurs one night as you rock Leia to sleep.
âYou always deserved this,â you say, brushing her hair back.
And she smiles â that soft, radiant smile she used to hide behind politics.
You are no longer waiting.
You are living the life you both dreamed of when you were just girls in the garden.
And in every petal, in every breath of warm Naboo wind, the Force sings:
This is love. This is home. This is forever.

Royal Flowers Chapter 1
series masterlist
pairing: anakin skywalker x f! reader
summary: A long, long, time ago, in a galaxy far, far away, a certain Jedi by the name of Anakin Skywalker meets you, the current Queen of Naboo and adopted cousin of Padme Amidala, and is tasked with protecting you by pretending to marry you. As a spy, youâve infiltrated the Separatist ranks and are close to finding out the mastermind behind all of it. The fate of the galaxy is in your hands.Â
warnings:Â minors dni! ageless blogs dni! none this chapter but the series will have eventual smut, canon-level violence and just general warnings.Â
a/n: hello hello hello! iâm working on creating more appropriately sized chapters and spacing things out but iâm so excited to work on this series. this series is based on a request from @breatheeagainnnnÂ
word count:Â 2.7kÂ
Anakin Skywalker is lost.
The revelation comes to him when he is lost in the deep waters of his meditation, distanced from the buzzing matter of physical reality as he is swept by the currents of the Force. He drifts without anchor, each surge threatening to submerge him, to overwhelm him if he loses his control.
He seeks to control the Force. The Force seeks to control him.Â
And the network of the universe ebbs and flows around him when the truth is drawn from his bones. Itâs a presentation of three fragmented parts that unsettle Anakin right down to his soul.Â
The first. He is afraid. He is the Chosen One, something heâs heard so much that it has lost its meaning. The Messiah lost the message.Â
Bring balance to the Force. Bring balance to the Force. Bring balance to the Force.
He doesnât know what that means anymore. And if he fails, what then? His fear of falling into the Darkness paradoxically increases the hold that it has on him.Â
The second. He pines for what he cannot have.Â
Padme Amidala is the breath in his lungs, reviving him with each heartbeat. But she couldnât love him the way he loves her, telling him as much with just a hint of sadness on her graceful face. She shut him out and without her, he feels weaker.Â
The third. Anakin is losing control. Obi-Wan can sense it too, because every training session is overshadowed by a sense of urgency. Every move is sloppier, more dangerous, and even in training, his desire to triumph is clouded by his desperation, as if winning would allow him to truly understand it all.Â
And all of this culminates in him realizing that he is lost, without hope and without guidance, and nobody will understand. Obi-Wan could never understand, for he still sees Anakin as the child that he rescued so many years ago. Obi-Wan just doesnât get him. Master Obi-Wan would do anything for his padawan, truly, but Anakin canât bear the thought of burdening Obi-Wan with this. Besides, it would only reinforce Obi-Wanâs view that Anakin isnât ready to be a Jedi Master.Â
A knock on the door to his quarters startles him and he scrambles to get up as Master Obi-Wan opens the door.Â
âAnakin, thereâs someone here to meet us,â Obi-Wan says, frowning. Anakin runs a hand through his hair, sighing as he frantically pieces together an appearance of cool indifference. Heâs a Jedi. He canât feel rattled. The two Knights obscure their faces with their hoods and walk out of Anakinâs quarters.Â
Anakin follows Obi-Wan to a room where a single figure stands hidden by a hooded cloak, surrounded by a number of handmaidens each adorning the same pinched, tight-lipped look.Â
âLeave us,â a low voice says from under the cloak, and each of the handmaidens file out of the room without sparing even a single glance behind. Anakin reflexively reaches for his lightsaber, but then the figure steps into the beam of light streaming from the window and takes off the hood. And he lays eyes on you for the first time.Â
Youâre not nearly as beautiful as Padme, nobody is, but still, thereâs something so mesmerizing about you. Motes of dust dance in Coruscant sunbeams around your head and it looks like a halo, makes you look holy, and he canât stop himself from staring. Heâs studying the details of your face, scanning, and itâs to a point that he canât pretend itâs for threats. He almost forgets to breathe when you bow your head to him in respect, and he has to bow back. Anakinâs eyes are still transfixed on you when you begin to speak.Â
âMaster Kenobi, General Skywalker,â you begin, and the two Jedi push their hoods down. âI come to you in need of assistance. As you are aware, the current Queen of Nabooâs two terms are near their end. But what has been kept secret is that Iâve been chosen as her successor, which will be revealed to the citizens of Naboo in a fortnight.â You take a deep breath and smile weakly as Anakin and Obi-Wan mutter half-hearted congratulations. âWhat I need is protection.â
âSo then why do you require our aid? Iâm sure youâre aware that Naboo has its own governmental protective forces, and Iâm unsure that theyâd take the Jedi Councilâs interference in their sovereignty kindly,â Anakin asks. Heâs more guarded than he intends to come off, but the question holds still. You donât appear to be a fool, so there must be more depth to the matter. At his questioning, your eyes flit briefly towards the door before you step closer to the Jedi, toying with the front of your robes as nervousness overtakes you.Â
âIâm sure youâve noticed that Iâm much older than the usual elected Queen, and it is not by coincidence,â you murmur. âI did not get here alone. Under the command of Senator Amidala, Iâve spent the past couple years infiltrating the Naboo separatists. They manipulated the selections such that I would become Queen.â At the mention of Padme, Anakin bites back a sigh and forces himself to pay attention to your words.Â
âThat is very dangerous,â Obi-Wan says, rubbing his hand over his beard. âI assume youâve been relaying your findings to the Senator thus far?âÂ
You nod sharply in response.Â
âI see. The Councilââ Obi-Wan begins, but you shake your head frantically and grasp him and Anakin by the robes, pulling them closer to you.Â
âNo. Not the Council. I do not know who I can trust. There are Separatist spies everywhere. My handmaidens, for example, are all Separatist spies who donât trust me because Padme is my cousin. While I donât doubt the integrity of the Jedi Masters, I fear putting them in danger if my operative fails, or if word gets out.â Youâre frantic but quiet, and constantly checking at the door to see if any of your wardens have overheard your betrayal.
âAnd yet you trust us,â Anakin rebuts. He doesnât trust you, not one bit; how could he ever trust a spy? If youâre so willing to lie, even if it is to the Separatists, how can he be sure that youâre not lying to him?Â
âPadme told me that I could trust you. She said to give you this,â you say, shoving your hand into your pockets to produce a necklace, which Anakin recognizes immediately. Itâs one he knows all too well, as itâs the necklace heâd gifted Padme before he had even joined the Order. And he decides that if nothing else, you are honest about Padme. And thatâs all that matters to him. The part of him that still burns for her overtakes him and he knows that he canât let her down.Â
âIâll do it,â Anakin says. Obi-Wan glances warningly in his direction, but thereâs a certain resignation and relief in Obi-Wanâs posture. Anakin hasnât taken this kind of initiative in a long time, and Obi-Wan was beginning to grow concerned that all hope for the Chosen One was lost.Â
âAlright, the matter is,â Obi-Wan pauses mid-sentence, looking at Anakinâs determination, âsettled. We will aid you in your transition away from the Separatist group and expose their interference.âÂ
âYou have misunderstood me, Master Kenobi,â you whisper, voice hush with urgency. âIâm so close to finding out the identities, locations, of key leaders. There are Sith Lords that are regularly hologrammed into our meetings. Should I be tasked with something significant as the Queen, Darth Sidious has already alerted me that I will be tasked with the assignment in his presence.âÂ
Obi-Wan begins to respond to you, but Anakin cuts him off. âIf you have a plan, why donât you tell us already?â Heâs frustrated by your impatience. Maybe Obi-Wan was right about politicians. You glance at him, annoyed.Â
âI was getting to it, General Skywalker. As I was saying, this mission is imperative and it is essential to the fate of the Republic and thus, the galaxy, that I am not put in harmâs way before I am able to succeed in exposing the identities of key Separatist forces. I cannot trust the guards provided by the Naboo government, as I donât know who is a Separatist plant. Soââ
âSo you need our protection to⊠what? Kill the spies? And how would that work if Naboo has its own protection for you? I highly doubt theyâd take the involvement of the Jedi Council kindly,â Anakin says sharply. You nod at his rapid-fire questioning, unfazed.Â
âSomething like that. I need to make sure that any communications I have and discoveries I have are protected, and if anyone finds out, that theyâre eliminated before they can eliminate me. So not necessarily kill the spies, but I need actual protection, and I need someone that I know I can trust. AndâŠâ you trail off and step back, toying with the hem of your sleeves as you sigh.Â
âWhat is it, milady?â Obi-Wan asks you gently. You press your hands to your neck and look up at Anakin.Â
âThe way I see it, thereâs two things we can do. General Skywalker, I understand that as a Jedi Knight, you have a padawan yourself. Ahsoka, correct? We could have herââÂ
âNo,â Anakin interrupts quickly. âAhsokaâs far too young, and while I believe that she will grow to be a very competent and powerful Jedi, now is not the time to thrust her headfirst into a mission alone.â You nod at the Jediâs assessment.Â
âOf course, General. Weâre thus presented with the second plan. I am, as Queen, permitted to have a husband. Iâve been building the identity of a lover in my life, and while there is none, this leaves me room to marry without suspicion in the eyes of the Separatists.â You take another deep breath and look at both Anakin and Obi-Wan, shoulders tensed. âIf I marry either you or Anakin, then Iâll be able to have you in my chambers regularly, privately.âÂ
âAnd youâre certain it must be us?â Obi-Wan asks. You nod quickly, sharply.Â
âI canât trust anyone but the two of you,â you whisper. Obi-Wan nods at your words, then bows his head. Anakin follows suit.Â
âThank you, milady. Weâll meet you at midnight, in the gardens, to settle the matter.â Obi-Wan and Anakin hide under their robes once more, being even more careful to disguise themselves as you call out loudly for the handmaidens to return.Â
~~~
The hours pass quickly, and you soon find yourself in the cover of the nightâs darkness. Sleep eludes you tonight, and you are filled with restlessness. Your handmaidens have retired, sleeping outside of your bedchamber to ensure that you donât leave. But they fortunately didnât notice the ledge that goes from underneath the bedroom window to the bridge connecting the guest quarters to the Temple.Â
The air in the room feels stale and suffocating as you toss and turn, counting down the minutes until your meeting with the Jedi. Your heart thumps torturously in its cage before you abandon your futile attempt to chase sleep. You find yourself at the window, sliding it open quietly as the breeze rushes in to kiss your face. Coruscant is beautiful and silent at this time of night, with only the whispers of distant sounds of the city blowing past you.Â
The building ledge meets your bare feet when you slide over the window, and the distance from you to the ground is dizzying. Your palms and feet begin to feel slippery from sweat as your thoughts begin to spiral, fear of falling weakening you. You force yourself to shuffle closer to the bridge, focusing on controlling your movement as you do.Â
And yet somehow, itâs all so freeing from this far up. No restrictions, no eyes on you, and all the troubles in the galaxy seem so small at this height. You could fall. Or you could keep going. The fear wasnât what mattered, what mattered was that you were here and alone and it felt safer than you have felt in years.Â
You force yourself to keep moving, ignoring the sweat gathering at the nape of your neck. Once you reach the bridge, you quickly jump onto it and hurry towards the gardens.Â
The moons make the night soft with their hazy light. You swear that the temple seems so much more powerful in this light, with fewer Jedi wandering the grounds. They spare you a glance when you run past, your nightgown fluttering behind you.Â
General Skywalker is the first thing you notice when you reach the garden, twirling a flower in his hands. It looks almost out of place with him, delicateness contrasting the strength of his hands. You get the feeling that he knows youâre there, despite the quietness of your arrival and the fact that youâve been almost holding your breath as you watch him. Â
âIt wonât be a real marriage, you know. I love Padme, and Iâll love her til I die.â Ah, yes. Padme had warned you about thisâ about the intensity of his affection. Anakin Skywalker is not a man who works in subtleties. You hold back a scoff at his arrogance, choosing instead to clasp your hands in front of your nightgown and nod.Â
âI donât ask for your affection, General. Nor your companionship. I would, however, like for us to be allies.â The light of the planetâs four moons is muted in the garden, distorted by the thick layer of clouds and it makes the moment feel private. But youâve been a double agent for long enough to know that there are always ears and eyes. You hold your tongue in fear of revealing something that could expose your mission just to get General Skywalkerâs favor.Â
General Skywalker clenches his jaw and drops the flower, studying you before nodding quietly. The flower is crushed under his boot as he stalks towards you.Â
âBut-â Your breath catches in your throat as you look into his eyes because heâs⊠pretty. You hadnât thought of it before now, but as the moonsâ lights fall so gently onto him, he seems ethereal. âBut you will have to fake your affection, General. If you are unable to do that, I will respect that, but Iâm afraid that would mean that you wouldnât be suited for this mission.âÂ
âPadme recommended me for this mission, didnât she?â General Skywalker asks you quietly, and you bite back a sigh at his obsession but find yourself nodding, albeit hesitantly. âThen the matter is settled, milady.â He leans in towards you, and you are lost in his eyes.Â
âThe matter is far from settled,â Master Kenobiâs sharp voice cuts through. You step back from Anakin, pressing your hand gently on your collarbone as your heart pounds against your ribcage. Your ears ring with embarrassment at the closeness that the Jedi Master had found you two in.Â
âAgreed, Master Kenobi. I propose that General Skywalker join me within a monthâs time on the planet. We will rendezvous somewhere weâll be caught, publicly but also by my handmaidens.âÂ
âForce their hands,â Master Kenobi says, rubbing his jaw with the pads of his fingers as he thinks through the details of your plan.Â
âI take issue with one large part, milady,â General Skywalker objects. He looks irritated, as he mostly has within the short time that youâve interacted with him. Is this how he is as a lover? If so, no wonder Padme left him.Â
Master Kenobi sighs aggravatedly and waves at the General, urging him to continue. âPadawan, Iâd like to finish this conversation before the sun rises.âÂ
âIâve got the feeling that itâll do more than raise a few eyebrows if the Queen suddenly gets a new husband, all while one of the Jedi Knights and padawan to one of the greatest masters is⊠what, on a mission?âÂ
You smile grimly at his question.Â
âThereâs an easy answer to that question, General.â General Skywalker narrows his eyes at you in suspicion. âYouâll have to fake your death.âÂ
Clone x OC Week: Day 1 - Intro/First Meeting
Captain Rex x Jedi!OC Talia Riva - from the fic Illicit Affairs
Note: So I had seen stuff for clone x oc week a bit ago, but life has been insane so I forgot about it until I saw a lot of stuff being shared yesterday and I wanted to participate but I had nothing for the Introduction/First Meeting prompt because I technically wrote Rex and Talia meeting already in IA but then the idea slammed into me "what if I wrote the meeting from Talia's perspective" and then BOOM months of writers block disappeared. This isn't beta'd and obviously all the dialogue was previously used, but it was fun to peer into Talia's head a little bit. Also special shoutout to the anon who sent me a message yesterday saying they missed Rex an Talia; this is for you. Thanks @clonexocweek for hosting an event for a community that truly does not get enough love.
Rating: This scene is just mature for some language and themes, but the overall fic is explicit 18+ !
Talia knew how to blend in a crowd â much of her training had been spent teaching her how to get lost amongst people, make herself unnoticeable, or even manipulate the Force so she would be overlooked when she needed to be. It was a skill of hers she was confidant in enough to say she was good at it, which is why it was frustrating that she couldnât shake this one drunk businessman.
Talia smiled up at the man pleasantly, masking the way she wanted to scowl at the obvious scent of liquor on his breath. She would nod and make agreeing sounds, while she tried to drown out whatever he was saying to her. She wasnât even sure how he had cornered her in the first place, if he werenât so drunk she would have assumed he had some special training of his own, but Talia supposed it was just the delusional persistence only an entitled man could posess. She had been working the perimeter of the ballroom in Nabooâs Royal Palace, trying to spot anything out of the ordinary to try and see if the threat posed that evening was real or just false information. Her disguise as one of the Queenâs Handmaidens had been her idea with the support of the Council; the Republic presence was strong for the gala, and Anakin and Ahsoka were already out in the open as Jedi. If they wanted a chance to uncover any hazards to the evening, a bit of stealth was better than a show of strength. Just one of the methods Anakin and Talia frequently disagreed on, which was why he wasnât aware of her attendance that evening. Perhaps it was her preoccupation with avoiding her fellow Jedi Knight that first allowed the man, whose name she purposely ignored, to corner her in the first place.
She had tried to excuse herself, citing some vague excuse of business but his persistence followed her into the hall, and Taliaâs limited experience with men meant that she was running out of ideas on how to shake this guy while also focusing on her job. And she felt like she was about to lose all her sense of decorum if she had to listen to him talk about his starship modifications for a moment longer.
âSounds fascinating, Iâm sure you must be quite the handyman,â Talia cut the man off from his ramblings, hoping he would catch the sarcasm in her tone and finally catch the damn hint that she wasnât interested. He was leaning on the wall beside her while looking down at her, and she was grateful in that moment that the dress she was wearing had such a high neck.
âAww come on, Iâve been trying to picture what you look like without that dress on, and I think it would look much better on the floor of my â,â patience was a virtue for Jedi, but that was a skill Talia had much room to work on, which held true as she couldnât hold her temper in and slapped the guy before he could finish his sentance. Perhaps it was a bit of an extreme reaction, but when the man just shook it off and smirked back down at her she was ready to swing again before she heard a cloneâs voice calling down the hallway.
âExcuse me, miss; The Queen was requesting you,â Talia glanced to see a clone trooper walking down the hall; by his pauldron and kama she could guess he was an officer of some sort and Talia couldnât ignore how perfect his timing was to be her literal knight in shining armor.
âThank you, trooper. Could you escort me to her? Itâs so crowded and I donât want to keep Her Majesty waiting.â She turned back to the man, not at all trying to hide the relied and pleasure from her tone. âApologies, sir, this conversation was truly⊠stimulating.â
She followed the clone down the corridor, and once they were far enough away she relaxed her shoulders and let out a sigh, âMaker, thank you. Iâve been trying to get rid of the slimo for the past half hour. I figured it wasnât exactly appropriate for a representative of the Queen to deck one of the largest potential donors to her event, but as you could tell I lost that internal battle.â
âNot a problem, maâam. All part of the jobâ The clone was still wearing his helmet bearing a Mandalorian design, jaig eyes if she remembered correctly, so she couldnât see his expression but she could feel the smirk in his voice.
âI heard the troopers of the 501st were known for their quick thinking and heroics,â Talai started, for some reason unable to stop herself from rambling as the clone and her walked together. âNice idea saying the Queen was summoning me, thatâs the only thing he couldnât have argued with.â
âHow do you know I wasnât telling the truth?â
âThe Queen would send one of the other handmaidens, not a clone trooper.â She smiled up at him, searching for the eyes behind the vizor. âWhatâs your name?â
âRex, maâam.â
âOh, so I have the pleasure of being rescued by the famous Captain Rex then?â
âWell, I wouldnât go that far-â
âAbout the rescue or the famous part?â OK maybe it was cruel to tease the officer on duty a bit, but Talia was enjoying her fun the one time a clone didnât refer to her as âcommanderâ or now âgeneralâ which she was still adjusting to. She was nineteen, dressed up in a gown on a night out at a fancy gala with a presumably handsome (considering what the clones looked like) man at her side; it felt like a touch of normalcy, a life she never would have so why not have a little fun and tease a little? And it seemed like she was slightly flustering the clone, as she could sense him fumbling for his words for a moment before he spoke again.
âI think heâll have a mark from that backhand for a week. We could use fighters like you on the field with us.â Talia couldnât help but chuckle at that slightly, if only he knew.
âWell, I donât know about that. The truth is Iâm not exactly great at these types of social engagements. I came to the hallway for some peace and quiet when Mr. Charm first cornered me. If only you had found me first,â ok her rambling had gone too far, some light teasing that ventured close to flirting was one thing, but she was definitely pushing her luck if she kept it up. âWhat I mean is, I owe you one, Captain.â
Talia was grateful that they finally arrived back at the ballroom, so she could be saved by the social ineptidude that had suddenly hit her. The gala was still in full swing, the voices and music bounced off the opulent marble walls. One could almost forget there was a war going on, had there not been troops posted at every entrance. The captain seemed to share her sentiments, as he surveyed the room shifting his weight between his feet.
âYou know, you can stay and enjoy the party a little bit, Iâm sure the food here is much better than your ration bars,â Talia suggested, knowing that the nutritional protein offered to troops was far from fine cuisine. Plus, if Rex serve dunder Anakin she knew the soldier deserved a break. âIâm sure the Republic wonât fall if you relax a little.â
âHey Rex, anything going on?â Talia mentally swore as she heard Anakinâs voice; it was way too early for her cover to be blown. She couldnât risk saying a goodbye, she slipped away from Rexâs side before Anakin could even notice her and disappeared into the crowd. She was on the other side of the room, behind a pillar when she finally glanced back to see Rex glancing around the room as Anakin teased him about something. Her moment of fun was good while it lasted, a break from work to enjoy herself a little but she had to get back to work and she had a feeling her true identity was going to be revealed before the night was over.
           Talia went back to the shadows after that, floating around the halls of the palace and watching over the ballroom as she felt necessary; perhaps the Republicâs caution wasnât need and this was going to be just a Gala because as the night passed there were no threats to be found. She was standing against a wall, conveniently hidden by some decorative floral arrangement as she sipped on a glass of champagne when the Captain caught her eye again. She could tell her felt out of place, and she could feel the surge of panic that went through him as Representative Binks called his name. Talia set her glass aside, knowing it was her chance to return the Captainâs favor.
âSorry to steal you away, Captain, but thereâs some security info I think we should go over She steered Rex through the crowd and away from Jar Jar, who had already slammed into a waiter, causing glasses of champagne to shatter and conceal Rexâ escape.
âWell, I guess weâre even now.â The relief and gratitude were palpable on Rexâs voice,
           âWell, I wouldnât be much of a lady if I didnât return the favor,â Talia quipped, smirking up at him. âBesides, I havenât had the pleasure of getting to know Representative Binks, but from what I understand he can be a bit â uh â overenthusiastic.â
Rex chuckled at that as they made their way into a long corridor. âThatâs putting it mildly. He was told by Senator Amidala that he should receive combat training and heâs got it stuck in his head that Iâm the one who should do it. Iâm a good trainer, but Iâm not a miracle worker. But I would gladly take his company over your friend from earlier.â
âOh, Mr. âInvites-women-to-his-spaceship-so-itâs-harder-for-them-to-get-awayâ?â She cocked a brow at Rex as she leaned against the wall beside her. âYeah, I donât think he was a winner by any standard.â
âAre you sure?â Rex asked, mirroring her movement, and leaning on the wall across from her. âI think he almost won you over with the talk of his âpersonal modifications.ââ
âOh yes, of course. I was totally swooning over him; it was really rude of you to interrupt us.â. Her cheeks felt hot from how much she was smirking and trying to control her urge to laugh, she didnât need to come off as a schoolgirl all because a man was talking to her but something about his charm was so effortless.
Rex motioned behind his shoulder in the direction of the ballroom, a grin tinting his voice. âIâm sure I can go find him again for you. Iâd hate to think I ruined your night.â
Talia shook her head and softly smiled at him, âFar from it, Captain, youâre making this night a lot more interesting. Tell me, do you often go around parties rescuing damsels from terrible conversations with intoxicated men?â
âOnly if theyâre pretty blondes in black dresses.â Oh. Well, that was not as forward as she thought Rex would go, but Talia would be lying to herself if she didnât feel her stomach twist at the compliment. She hoped her face wasnât flushed completely red as she smirked back at him.
"Well, I guess Iâm lucky that I fit into that box tonight, Captain,â she chuckled. Rexâs comm went off, making him mentally curse as he chided himself for getting so distracted on the job.
âRex, itâs Jesse. Sid and Oak didnât report in for their check-ins. Some of our guys have been having comm issues so it might be nothing but wanted to let you know.â
Talia was still new to being a Jedi Knight, but she had been training on the field long enough that she should have known just because a night seemed calm and that there was no obvious threat, didnât mean there would be no threat. She had much to learn still, that was abundantly clear as she stood on the balcony after the fight with Ventress. Her gown had torn, which was a shame, but otherwise she was unharmed just exhausted with the threat of a migraine on the way with how much Anakin was going to annoy her about this. Luckily, he seemed distracted with checking in on how Senator Amidala was doing so for the moment it seemed she was reprieved. Rex was along the wall, being tended to by a medic so Talia took her moment to address her deceit now that her identity had been revealed.
âI do owe you an apology, Captain, for not being completely honest about who I am,â she said, awkwardly smiling to try and diffuse some of the tension she felt.
âNothing to worry about misâuh, Sir.â Rex insisted as his eyes met hers. Now that he was out of his helmet, her earlier presumptions proved correct and he was handsome. The blond hair was a surprise, she wondered if it was natural or if he bleached it. âI owe my apologies as well. Iâm sorry if anything I did was out of line or â â
Talia laughed, raising her hands reassuringly at him. She couldnât say what she was really feeling; that it was nice to feel like a normal girl at a party and having an attractive man call her pretty, but she felt that would cross all sort of appropriate boundaries.
âNo, nothing at all; you made a boring party a lot more exciting.â She smiled at him and held out her hand to him. He accepted the handshake and returned a light smile as she formally introduced herself. âIt was nice to finally meet the famous Captain Rex.â
i need help finding a fic
so there was this anidala/padme x vader fic i read several years ago and i lost it. i'm pretty sure it was either on fanfiction.net or ao3.
basically vader is this giant creature that lives on a planet is this giant castle (?) with some staff. padme is delivered to him as a slave as some kind of offering. this makes him very angry but he decides to punish the guy who brought her and take care of her.
she basically just lives in luxury and is tended to by several handmaidens and sits and looks pretty next to vader while people come and give him things (i honestly don't remember why people were giving him things/treating him like a god or something).
most of the story is just her talking to vader. she also meets anakin and talks to him when vader isn't there. vader can shapeshift into anakin (don't remember how) but can only do so for a certain amount of time. padme doesn't know that vader/anakin can do this but eventually she finds out/he tells her (?).
obviously they're falling in love throughout the fic.
i lost this fic after i read it because i didn't bookmark it (deep deep sigh) and i've been thinking about it ever since so if anyone could help me find it i would deeply appreciate it.
EXTENDED SUMMARY
Elia Valarys is a graveyard. A display case for all the former, torn up iterations of herself. Her innocence, her girlhood, her youth. She has died so many times before it is like a memory. She is no longer flesh and bone, but tendrils of smoke, a mournful spectre. Not a girl anymore, only a ghost.
She was not always so tragic. She was her parents' miracle, born nine years after they were told they would not conceive again. She was their ray of sunshine. Her three older siblings showered her with love, despite being nine and thirteen years older than her.
For her first nine years, Alana Uttara was happy. Her mother's role as a handmaiden to the Queen of their homeworld, Aphelion, allowed her to spend time running circles around the vast palace with the princesses and her little niece. Alana's niece was born when she was five years old. Violet was the daughter of Alana's oldest brother, Aerrik and his girlfriend, and she became Alana's favourite person in the galaxy. Alana and Violet were always more like sisters than aunt and niece.
Her first death came when the sky was lit by brilliant fireworks.
As Aphelion celebrated its liberty with a fine party, Alana's world collapsed around her. As sparks showered behind her, she learned that two of her siblings and parents were dead. She wanted to scream until her throat was raw, until the stars trembled above, until the universe gave her family back. Until she had nothing left to give. (Fate is not kind to little girls with big dreams.)
Aerrik Uttara begged the Queen of Aphelion to allow him to adopt his sister â they were all each other had left. But the Queen took her instead.
Her second death arrived a year later.
Alana Uttara was buried in cotton dresses and sunlight smiles next to her parents and twin siblings. Her soft heart was not built for such anguish. (Her mother always said her heart was as vast as Aphelion's great oceans. Alana's heart and gentle nature were no curse, no weakness. It was her greatest strength.)
In her place, Elia Valarys was born. At last, she was official. A Princess of Aphelion, the Third Daughter. Not an heir; a false princess; a royal without a crown. Her people adored her, and Elia Valarys shone bright as the sun, hiding her grief behind tiaras and balls. She refused to break. But when she did, she built herself back up like a mirrorball. Elia and Alana became two different people, but their hearts were still the same.
Alana let her pain drown her, Elia grew despite it. When death stole from her, her heart flourished and made room for more love. If she could not be happy herself, she would make the galaxy better for others and make them happy. She had two new sisters and a new father who loved her like she was his own. Until little Violet turned nine years old, the last of the Uttara family would visit the Palace as often as possible â much to the Queen's disapproval.
But Alana Uttara still stalked Elia like a shadow. She was the bottle which Elia poured her heartache into. When the novelty of being part of the royal family wore off, Elia had two people living within her: the lost girl and the quiet princess.
She died a hundred times during the war.
Like a blossom in winter, her famous heart grew brittle. Her hands turned to frost as she cradled dying children. She tried so hard to protect them all, to keep them safe and take them far away from the war. Even though she saved hundreds of children displaced by the war, she was tormented by the ones she lost. After you watch a child fade away in your arms, you cannot be the same.
When she believed she could not suffer through anything worse, the betrayal arrived. It cut through her knife, twisting in her heart. Finally, she surrendered to her stone heart. Nothing can hurt you when you cannot feel anymore.
The final death caught her a lifetime later.
(The worst betrayal came as a blade through her stomach as she clung to her lover's arms. He could not protect her anymore. She could wonder forever if his last words were a lie: âI love you.â)
In any universe, Elia Valarys and Anakin Skywalker were not destined for a happy ending. (But they still fell for each other like Icarus fell for the sun every time.)
The Handmaiden
As Padme's handmaiden and decoy, you expect there to be a few mishaps, a few mix-ups. Especially when you're in the full Queen's garb and makeup. What you don't expect is the newly made Jedi Knight to make that mistake. The accident leaves your head spinning for more reasons than you want.
Anakin Skywalker X Reader Word Count: 1400 Warnings: Mildly dubious consent, mistaken identity, forced kiss/groping/grinding
The Queen was utilizing you an awful lot these days. You sat upon her couch, scrolling through a datapad of her latest emails, dressed in full Naboo royal garb and makeup. All to await a few delegates that Padme hated dealing with. You offered to take her place but it was your job to take her place, not that you wanted to. The task was just as grueling for you. Made so because per Padmeâs decree, you had to remain pacifistic while in her place. There were a few on the Senate who didnât deserve pacifism. Not when they continued to treat you- Padme , as a child.
You all didnât fight in retaking Naboo from the Trade Federation and their droid army to be treated so disrespectfully. How Padme could stand it was a mystery.
The emails were to try and distract you until the time came to humor Hasana, Torie and Jen-ros. The three were all close âfriendsâ, if that was a word that could be used among senate members, and wanted to make Padme a forth and their whipping girl. The agitation was building in you with each passing minute. A small headache starting to form, and it would only get worse when they arrived.Â
The bell rang on the door and it surprised you. They shouldnât be here for another thirty minutes. You were alone in the Queens quarters because the trio complained in the past about all the handmaidens being a distraction from the gossip. You strongly disagreed with Padme being left alone with them, but that got circumvented when you took her place. The others were all gone to lunch with Padme, leaving you to begrudgingly answer it, hoping it was anyone else.
As the sliding doors opened, you were surprised to see Anakin of all people. Though you kept calm, you did feel a heat warming your cheeks at the sight of him. âIâm surprised to see you here. Is everything alright?â
You hated to admit it even to yourself, but he had grown quite handsome in the time apart. For so long you only remembered him as that high-spirited and charitable little boy. Even then his adoration of Padme was clear. You were there when he asked if she was an angel, and you had to stifle your laughter, teasing Padme about it for years. When Obi-wan introduced him as his padawan, well, she got the opportunity to mock you in return as you couldnât stop mentioning how tall he was and how much heâs changed, clear awe and captivation in your eyes. Though, that had come to a stop recently. And you were perceptive of all your Queenâs changes and attitudes.Â
Anakin strode in, glancing around the room. His intense energy made you nervous. âIs anyone else here?â
âNo. But a group of delegates will be arriving in about thirty minutes.â
He sighed, âGood. I need you.â
âWhat-â You barely took in his words out of confusion, barely got your question out before suddenly his lips were covering yours, his hands cupping your neck to hold you against him. Your shock came as an audible moan because he was pressed so tightly against your mouth, clinging feverishly.Â
So, this was why Padme had been acting so strangely lately. A secret affair with a newly made Jedi Knight? What was she thinking?!Â
As much as it, well, it did feel nice to be kissed with such intense desire, you stumbled back trying to get a breath in to explain you werenât Padme. Anakin followed you step by step, until your back hit the wall and he locked you against it, his kisses fast and deep. They were delightfully suffocating. His hands dropped to your body, feeling you through the Queenâs dress. Buried under the layers your skin was alight with sensation. His touch, his body pinning you, his kisses wetting your lips and each smack burning hot in your ears because you knew. You had to stop him. None of it was for you. Misunderstanding or not, it would wound Padme if she stumbled on this.Â
âI havenât stopped thinking about you, not for a moment.â Every hushed word brushed your damp lips, every few punctuated with another kiss, as if he was deliberately trying to stop you from talking in reply. You clung to his jedi robes, unable to stop the pleasured whimper that bubbled up your throat when he pressed his thigh between yours, your core aching in response. A hot sigh ghosted down your chin, his words ever more desperate, as if he might cry if you told him to stop. âIâm sorry- Iâm sorry, I know you said to take things slow, but I need you so badly.â
Your breath was quick, finding your voice and it sounded so small, âA-Anakin Iâm-â
He swallowed your words on his tongue, a thrill hitting you hard as the silk waves languidly ran along your own. Coaxing you to fall deeper into him. Filling your head with a weightless light. Your eyes rolled back and fluttered as he ground against you, drinking you up. Your skin was tingling, your body wanting to press into his relentless attention. Youâd be melting on the floor if he wasnât holding you.Â
But this needed to end before he tried to go any further. With numb hands, you pushed on his chest but Anakin was a solid wall, and he only dug in more, bowing down to practically lift you off the floor in his tight embrace. Your hands slipped a little higher, pushing against his shoulders and slowly he started to relent. You managed to push him off enough to barely call out, âMm-mnot Padme!âÂ
Finally, it gave him pause. Anakin took back. His eyes blew wide open with horror before throwing himself back from you. He covered his mouth, his face blooming red. âOh! Oh Iâm so sorry!â
You were in no better state, your whole body burning, the queenly voice gone and a nervous giggle lacing your every word, âA misunderstanding is bound to happen. Thatâs what all the make up is for, after all.â It didnât seem to calm him any, looking around the room as if heâd been set up and Padme might jump out at any moment. âReally Anakin, itâs nothing to worry about it. A genuine accident.â
Anakin was struggling to catch his breath, unable to look at you he was so mortified, unable to stop moving around and fidgeting as he tried to deal with all that energy he stirred up. âIâm very sorry if I frightened you, or made you uncomfortable-â
âItâs nothing, really! An understandable accident. I wonât hold it against you.â You smiled to him but you couldnât stop smiling. Either by nerves or all the adrenaline now pumping through your body. With a hand over your stomach, flutters and quick thudding making you a little nauseous, you went to the desk and explained. âThereâs a few delegateâs on their way that Padme canât stand, so Iâm sitting in for her. She went to have lunch at a nearby restaurant- uh, here.â You grabbed a spare datapad and typed in the coordinates, handing it to him and hoping he didnât notice the slight trembling of the pad.Â
âThank you.â He practically whispered, looking it over, all his concentration on the directions. You could see the lump in his throat bob as he swallowed thickly, and you wondered what you might taste like to him, a fresh flush hitting you for thinking such a thing at all. He could only give you the briefest glance and nod before turning to leave.
âUh- um-â When Anakin looked back, you hesitantly handed him a handkerchief. âYouâve got some of the uh, makeup on you.â
Red and white smeared on his lips and chin, a bit on his cheek. Heâd tried to wipe it away earlier, maybe more concerned with how wet the makeout had gotten, but it clung steadily. The blush came back in full bloom as Anakin went to the nearest mirror and thoroughly wiped the evidence away. Bashfully, he came and handed the stained handkerchief back. âYou might want to-âÂ
He motioned to his now clean face and you could only imagine the state your makeup was in. Your face burned as you looked down, âY-yes. Of course.â
As he walked away, you very nearly said, say hi to Padme for me , and quickly realized that was maybe not the thing to bring up after what just happened. But it was only an accident. It didnât mean anything. Anakin said nothing as he left. The last you saw of him was getting back in the elevator and rubbing down his blushing red face with both hands.Â
So you can stop it here or continue on with the story on A03 The Handmaiden
It's slow burn af, just so you know! I think some will enjoy it as just a little ditty, but if you enjoyed it at all, I'd love to know!
Star Wars (yes all of it)?
LOVE that
Send me a fandom and I'll tell you...
The first character I ever fell in love with: mmmm, probably Ahsoka Tano!! Oooh, or the Naboo handmaidens
A character that I used to love/like, but now do not: maybe Thrawn, I used to be a big fan of him, and a deep believer in his goodness, but now I'm more like, yeah you're a great villain
A ship that I used to love/like, but now do not: oh heck. NO clue
My ultimate favorite characterâą: mmm, the entire Ghost crew, tied with Mara Jade and Ton Phanan
Prettiest character: My instinct is Hera or Ahsoka
My most hated character: still Pryce, although there is also Tarkin
My OTP: Kanera my beloveds
My NOTP: probably any clone x clone ships
Favorite episode: my favorite movie is Rogue One, for SURE
Saddest death: TOO MANY OPTIONS *sobbing*
Favorite season: my favorite show is absolutely Rebels!!
Least favorite season: sorry to say it, but Andor. It wasn't fun enough for me
Character that everyone else in the fandom loves, but I hate: ehhhhh, I'm not sure! I'm not a big hater of characters, honestly
My âyouâre a piece of trash, but youâre still a faveâ fave: Anakin, of course! He's a trainwreck, but he's my trainwreck
My âbeautiful cinnamon roll who deserves better than thisâ fave: Bodhi Rook my precious cinnamon roll boy
My âtheyâre kind of cute, and I lowkey ship them, but I'm not too investedâ ship: probably Obitine. Adorable, but they've never been a fixation for me
Thanks for the ask!!
Vader x Reader
a/n: so this one is kinda short but is necessary for the plot!! weâll have some vader and reader interactions in the next chapter!!! :) ty for the support!!!
Vader has been gone longer than anticipatedâŠ
warnings: cursing, angst, harm, body horror?, cannon typical violence
_____________________
You walked down the brightly lit corridor with a small transport droid behind you; it carried your tool bag and some parts that had to be specially ordered to fix one of the hyper speed engines.Â
Once you reached your destination you swiped your security badge and the deep belly of the ship opened its maw to you. The machinery and technology that allowed the vessel to operate was all at the tip of your fingers.Â
You had always wanted to come down here and surprisingly you hadnât ever had a reason to, but before Vader left to meet with his master he noticed the engines had been running at lower parsecs than usual and asked you to take a look.Â
The Executor had been docked on Hoth so that you could inspect and repair the engines (otherwise you would be vaporized if you attempted to inspect them while they ran).
You had actually never been to the icy planet and were excited to see a few sights before going back into space. Vader told you that he would take you on a stroll when he got back- he knew how much you loved exploring new systems and biomes (a conversation of one of your many late night talks).Â
Hopefully the meeting between Vader and the Emperor went well and you could debrief with V later today.
Earlier you had seen Palpatineâs ship go off to another system, so that seemed to be a good sign.
Though, you hadnât heard from Vader yet- but it was common for you not to hear from him until later in the day- especially when you had a demanding task; so you didnât think much of it.
___________________________
Vaderâs mind was consumed with painful memories and the anguish his body was currently feeling as he laid on the burning shores of Mustafar.
His prosthetic ports ached and the flames licking at the metal didn't help the surviving skin that surrounded them.Â
Half of him was just ready to give up- He had been in this same position before and chose to cling onto life, but what did that life provide him?
Days of pain and suffering in a suit that would be his coffin, mental anguish over the decisions he had made, manipulation from the man he was supposed to be working with⊠all he was here for was being a weapon of the empire. He didnât matter.Â
All of this re-lived pain because he aided his dead wifeâs handmaiden (who knew that he was Anakin and told him Padmeâs last words were âthereâs still good in himâ).
He didnât know if there was still good in him- if everytime he attempted to prove his wifeâs last words true, he got punished; how would he go on trying to be good?
But on the other hand; why live if there was no good in him- why bring more suffering into the galaxy?Â
In his moment of thought the bank of the river started sliding and he felt the heat intensifying by his legs. In defeat he closed his eyes; what else was there to live for?
The last time he was here, Padme was what kept him going. At the time he thought she was still alive and he needed her. He stayed alive for her, he dragged his mutilated body across the burning coals to get back to her.Â
He remembered the pain he felt when he found out she had passed⊠he would not survive news like that againâŠ
In that instance a burst of color flooded the nothingness of his closed eyes; beautiful greens, blues, and purples.
Soon the colors started forming images, images of you. Your smile, your hair, the adorable look on your face when you finished a big project, the look you gave him before falling asleep curled up to his side.Â
You.Â
He needed to get back to you.
In his panicked state he pushed you far from his mind; never would he want to associate suffering with you. But now he understood, you were his motivation.
His pillar of light, his guiding hand.
His eyes shot open when realized that was a double edged sword; yes, you were his reason to live, but he also knew that his master loved to manipulate him⊠and he would spare no soul who would give him more power.Â
And now Vader wasnât there to protect you.
As he slipped further down and the flames began to lick at his already burnt skin, his eyes widened and he gripped the gravely bank with all of his might. He was going to come home to you.Â
He needed to get back, he needed to make sure Palpatine didnât do anything drastic (the emperor already intervened in his previous relationship and he would not let that happen again).Â
His desperation and worry soon became anger and pure rage- the thought of Palpatine laying a hand on you made Vader livid.Â
After he made his grueling crawl up the scolding shores he wasnât even thinking about his recovery time and procedures he would need done once he got back; all he could think about was making sure you were safe.Â
_________________________________
You usually at least saw Vader once a day, even if for only a short period of time, so you were rightfully anxious when you hadnât seen him in almost 48 hours.
No matter how much you tried to ignore it you couldn't help but worry about him; the other night he told you he had to meet his master, most likely under unfavorable circumstancesâŠ
Would the emperor have done something to him? He couldnât have, Vader was his strongest, right?
Plus Palpatine left the other dayâŠ
Your brows knit together as you tried to fall asleep; why were you so worried?
Vader was a grown man who was more than capable of taking care of himself. You just needed to stop being âworst-case scenarioâ-
Wait.Â
You sucked in a sharp breath when you realized that you couldnât sense Vaderâs force signature; the more you thought about it, you hadnât felt it this whole time- you were too wrapped up in your work to notice.Â
But, again⊠He was perfectly equipped to handle himselfâŠyeah- no need to worry.Â
No need.
âŠ
âŠ..
âŠâŠ.
As much as you wanted to believe what you were telling yourself, your gut told you something was wrong. And youâd be damned if you were just going to sit here and let that worry fester.Â
You knew the Emperor was scheduled to come back aboard tomorrow morning to oversee a transport. You could act dumb and attempt to coax information out of him; It was definitely a lofty and irrational idea, but what else was there to do?
________________________________
The air was thick with dread and tension as you slowly made your way up to the loading dock with your helper droid that carried your tools. You pretended to tinker with one of the ventilator shafts until Palpatine was within your view.Â
After a few shipments were packed and transported, you took a breath and headed towards the emperor.Â
Only a few steps away and his sickening yellow eyes landed on you; in a panic you bowed to him and rushed out an apology.Â
âStand, my young friendâ he spoke with a curious tone.Â
You did as the sith asked and allowed him to examine your features.Â
âWhat troubles you?â he asked, placing a wiry clawed hand on your back. You hold back a shiver.Â
âI am one of Lord Vaderâs mechanicâs and I have not received another task from him in a few days. I have finished all of my pending duties and I worry the Lord will become angry if he returns and I have not accomplished anything furtherâ you spoke formally and as if you had no idea where he had gone.Â
âI was debating whether or not to approach you. I know you are a very busy man, but I also know that you are my Lordâs superior, so you may have a more urgent task I can attend to- I would rather not putter around and waste the empireâs timeâ.
The hooded man smiled a toothy grin, âAhh, young one- your ambition pleases me. I may have a task for you, but first what is the other question you wish to ask?â.
You did have another question, but you didnât think you indicated that you had one.
âOh, I was just wondering if you knew where my Lord went off to? Itâs not like him to disappear without letting his staff knowâ (that wasnât entirely true, but you might as well see what you can get out of the old man).
âIâm not sure where heâs gone off to, hopefully he will return to you soon. I can tell he means a great deal to youâ the pale man creepily smiled before dismissing himself to attend to other matters.Â
Shit.Â
Maybe you shouldnât have said anything.Â
_________________________
Vader groaned in pain as the mouse droid he just rewired began to fuse a random droidâs leg to his port; He needed to be able to walk somehow and this is the best he could do as of now.Â
He knew it was going to hurt like hell when he would eventually have to get it seared off (He wouldnât be able to get his new prosthetics on without getting this replacement leg off.)
Once he was relatively put together he prepared himself to hoist himself up. He winced at the pressure of his weight on the unfamiliar legs, but nevertheless, he pressed on.
He made his way through the dingy compound, looking for ways out and back to you.Â
Out of the corner of his eye he saw a low level bounty hunter. Did this fool really think he could take Vader?Â
Without any effort, Vader slammed the armed man against the opposite wall once he started to get too close.
If there was one, there were more, Vader needed to get out of here before a real threat came his wayâŠ
