Any theories or thoughts on what might've happened with the Flevance royals?

It's possible that the Flevance Royals were installed as royalties in a different Kingdom. The same happened with Wapol, so this isn't something the WG doesn't do.

But I think they were killed.

It's almost impossible to not develop any symptoms while living in a country for generations where the use of a toxic metal is extremely widespread. Even if it was cured, the risk of the disease's re-emergence in future generations would remain. I don't know if genetic treatments were a thing, but I doubt the WG would go so far to treat a bunch of fallen royals who were no longer of any use to them. Better to play it safe and eliminate everyone so the trouble stays under the rug.

Then what was the point of sending a ship for their evacuation? Maybe to escalate the state of chaos, and trigger instability near the borders. In absence of a government, the civilians armed themselves and engaged in a war.

The WG waited until the situation reached a point where all neighboring countries wanted these people dead, so the marines could enter the scene as 'heroic peacekeepers' and wipe them out without a fuss.

How ironic would it be for the most prepared and privileged to be eliminated while a boy alone survives and cures himself..
