Mini Fanfic #434: Some R&R Sleepover (Sonic)

8:45 p.m. at Rose House......

Amy: (Sighs Happily While Watching TV and Snuggle in a Blanket Together on the Sofa with Sally and Tails) This has to be the best Sleepover yet....

Tails: (Smiles Softly) Tell me about it. (Hugs Sally on His Side) Thanks again for joining us here tonight, Aunt Sally.

Amy: (Hugs Sally on Her Side) Yeah. Thanks a bunch, Sal.

Sally: (Giggles Softly as She Hugs Both Any and Tails at the Same Time) It's not a problem at all, you guys. If anything, I should be the one giving thanks here. I honestly don't remember the last time I've ever been to an actual sleepover before.

Amy: Seriously?

Sally: Yeah. I mean.... Robotnik's Robot Invasion happened so unexpectedly that...we hardly even do one anymore. Plus, every one of us in the Freedom Fighters has already starting to live their own lives outside of the team: Like Bunnie and Antoine being a married couple, Rotor opening up his owm Mechanic Shop, Nicole creating new ways to keep Knothole safe, and etc.

Tails: (Starts to Frown a Little) But....you guys are still able to hang out every now and then, right?

Sally: (Smiles Softly) Oh Absolutely. We would always spend time with one another whenever we have the time. So it's all good.

Amy: (Smiles Softly) Nice. Though, there is something pretty important I wanna you, if you don't mind

Sally: (A Bit Confused by Amy's Sudden Request) Oh. Uhh...Not at all, Ames. What your question?

Amy: Okay. So....this might be a teensy bit earlier to ask you this, buuuuut..... You got yourself a crush lately?!

Tails: Amy!

Amy: What?! Can't a girl ask one of her best gal pals about her love life?

Tails: ('Sigh') And don't you think that maybe Aunt Sally is a bit too preoccupied of her role as a princess than to date someone right now?

Sally: Well, I mean..... you're not entirely wrong in that aspect. (Shrugged) I just like being single in general.

Amy: (Genuinely Surprised) You do?

Sally: (Simply Nodded) Ever since me and Sonic called it quits, I had a lot of time to for think.about myself and the future. (Chuckles Lightly) Ironically enough, it helped me realize that being single isn't nearly as bad as everyone in the entire Solar System makes it out to be. Sorry it isn't the answer you were expecting, Ames....

Amy: No! I-It's okay, Sally. Really! (Frowns a Bit Sadly) I'm just sorry for asking you something like that out of the blue....

Sally: (Gently Place a her Hand on Amy's Shoulder with a Reassuring Smile) Hey. Don't worry about it. You were only wondering is all. No harm done. Plus, I'm not going to be entirely single for the rest of my life. I'm sure I'll find someone new for me someday. Or at least.....(Frowns a Little) I hope so.....

Tails: (Gently Grabs Sally's Hand) Don't worry, Aunt Sally. I'm positive you'll find someone for you to love someday. It just takes time, you know?

Amy: (Smiles Reassuringly to Sally) Yeah. You're the coolest Princess, Leader, and Auntie we ever known. Anyone would be pretty lucky to be with someone like you. (Winks at Sally)

Sally: (Smiles Softly as Her Heart Begins to Melt) You guys....Thank you.

Amy: Anytime, Girlfriend. And hey, if you ever wanna some help finding some loving, feel free to call me anytime, alright?

Sally: (Starts Smirking Teasingly Towards Amy) So like, what? You gonna be my Wing Gal or something?

Amy: (Smiles Brightly) Yep. And your nephew is gonna help me too!

Tails: (Turns to Amy with a "Really?" Look on his Face) .............

Amy: (Pouts Towards Tails) Hey! Don't look at me like that, mister! I'm being serious over here!

Tails: (Crosses his Arms) I am too, sis. And I'd say I would like to pass on that offer of being your Love Assistant.

Amy: Taiiiiilssss!!

Sally: You know, I wouldn't mind having you helping me out with too, sweetie. (Turns to Tails with a Puppy Dog Look) Pleeeeeeeeeease?~ For your Favorite Auntie in the Whole Wide World?~

Tails: ('Sigh') Sally, you're my only Auntie. But if that's really what you want....then I suppose I could help out as well. Just to make sure Amy over there doesn't go overboard on the whole thing.

Amy: ('GASPS') Miles Tails Prower! Are you doubting your big sister's ability to bring true love to light?!

Tails: (Shrugged) Pretty much. Yeah.

Amy: ('Hmph') I don't think I like the tone of your sass, young man.

Tails: (Rolled his Eyes Playfully) Wonder where I got that from?

Amy: Taiiiiilssss!!!!

Sally: (Bursts Out Laughing) Oho my God! You two are a complete riot together, you know that? And your right, Ames....(Smiles Brightly) This IS the Best Sleepover Ever.
