Tsundere Teen Nanami x Chubby Reader
SFW and Smutty headcanons for a tsundere teen Nanami
A/N: heyyyyyyy these headcanons are inspired by this WONDERFUL ask! I made SFW and smutty headcanons for this and they are separated by a lil strawberry banner. I'm giving Nanami a specific age for this bc ik some ppl are uncomfortable with smut made about characters under 18, so i wanted to keep this ambiguous. If you want to headcanon him as his canon age (17), ok, but if you don't then you can headcanon him as 18/19! Yayyyy everybody wins sksksk also this isn't proof read so get ready for some mistakes sksksk
SFW section is gender neutral chubby reader, and the smutty section is fem chubby reader.
I made color coded quotes bc i'm extra so here's the key:
You, Nanami, Haibara, Gojo, Geto, Shoko
SFW Headcanons
OKAY SO
I imagine you're a jujutsu sorcerer student in the same year as Nanami
Yall obviously met during your first year and-
Holy shit did Nanami fall for you hard
Like the moment he saw you in your modest school uniform he felt his heart leap into his throat and he couldn't speak he could only grunt and nod and when he shook your hand he felt like he was dreaming bc jesus christ your hand is so fucking soft and tiny compared to his and he doesnt know wtf to do so he just gives a quick handshake and walks away
You're like ????? but whatever
He's shaking just from touching your hand and you're just confused but then you meet Haibara and hit it off :)
Nanami obvs doesn't realize he likes you so he really struggles dealing with these emotions for a while
Why do i get hot when i look at them? Why is my heart beating so fast? Why do i get so nervous around them?? Am I dying???
Just a big dumb baby who hides his fear with a cold exterior
Tbh you're his first real crush: yea, he's had some feelings for ppl here and there but with you it's more intense and he can't just shake it off like he could with others
So ya boi is strugglin quite a bit sksksk
Has no fucking clue how to approach you
Ends up being super cold and mean bc you and Haibara get along so well and are just so optimistic and happy go lucky all the time and he can't take it
Either scolds you or ignores you entirely bc being around you too long makes him queasy and he doesn't know how to deal with it
Pretty much comes off as an asshole
"We should go get boba after this."
"Yeah! We should get crepes too!"
"Stop playing around. This is a serious mission."
UGH fine whatever Nanami
You and Haibara are just two peas in a pod and Nanami feels like a third wheel when it's the three of you
He's fine with Haibara, but you?
You're just so... so...
UGH
You're so bubbly and chirpy and your chubby cheeks puff out when you get angry and plump up when you smile and when he gets close to you he can smell your sweet shampoo and sometimes when you run up to Haibara he can see your body jiggle with each step and your uniform does nothing to hide the curves and rolls of your body and he has no clue how to process any of this
Nanami is so confused and confides in Haibara with his feelings
"Oh! So you like Y/N?"
"W-What?! No I don't! That's ridiculous, why would you say that?!"
"Well whenever you look at Y/N you've got this dreamy look on your face and you seem really nervous around them and-"
"Th-That's not true! I'm not nervous around Y/N."
"Then why don't you try talking to them and-"
"UGH, nevermind, I'm going to bed."
He'll stomp off to bed all grumpy bc why the hell would his friend say that? What does he know? Haibara doesn't know how he feels so he's just making assumptions that aren't true
But then Nanami can't fall asleep and he's tossing and turning all night and he's so angry why tf can't he just fall asleep
And suddenly he's thinking about you and your sweet smile and your cute chubby cheeks and how they would probably be so soft in his hands and he can't help but wonder if your lips are just as soft-
Oh. Shit. Shitshitshitshitshit.
No, that can't be right, he can't actually have feelings for you, that would be weird
...right?
This realization is terrifying to Nanami like he has a mini panic attack when he realizes he likes you
Ends accepting his feelings but what the fuck is he supposed to do now?
He's not as cold with you after that, but he's still standoffish and doesn't speak to you unless it's necessary
But he has been sneaking glances at you more often
It starts off small, looking over at you during class, watching you lean your face into your hands as you listen to the teacher
Seeing your cute cheeks pushed up and your lips jutted out makes him all hot and he has to look away a second later bc he just can't take it
During missions, he'll watch how your hands move with your weapon, your body curving to avoid curses and suddenly he's getting hit by said curses bc he was too distracted looking at you
He's becoming a mess and he hates it, he hates it, why can't he just be calm around you like with Haibara or his senpais, this is so fucking humiliating
During this whole time, you've been kinda weirded out by Nanami's behavior
Like you catch him looking at you before he quickly looks away and he doesn't really scold you like he used to and he's distant and it's weird
The only conclusion you can come to is that he's disgusted by your body which??? if he is then fuck him bc there is nothing wrong with you and if Nanami has a problem then he can deal with it on his own
Since he and Haibara are best friends and spend most of their time together, you're kind of left out bc you refuse to be around Nanami if he's gonna act like a dick and treat you this way
So what do you do? You go hang out with your senpais!
Gojo, Geto, and Shoko accept you with open arms because??? Jesus christ you are so fucking cute and sweet, you're like their big marshmallow and they adore you
You spend more and more time with them and start drifting away from Nanami and Haibara
Obviously you're still besties with Haibara! You just don't hang out when Nanami is around which is most of the time so you're with the upperclassman like all the time
And this pisses Nanami off
He tells himself that it doesn't bother him bc whatever, you're your own person and you can make your own choices
But he can't ignore the burning in his throat when you run to welcome back Gojo and Geto, giving them hugs and smiling brightly up at the two
He starts paying closer attention, trying to figure out what's so fucking great about the upperclassmen
Seriously, what do they do that's so great? Gojo was a flirt and Geto wasn't that impressive, so why did you get so excited whenever they showed up?
And they're so handsy with you too, like they own you, and it makes Nanami so mad
Gojo won't hesitate to slip his arms around your waist and hug you from behind. Geto often lays his head on your lap and lets you play with his hair while he closes his eyes and has this calm smile on his face. Hell, even Soko can be found squishing your cheeks and cooing about how soft and plump they are
He's never felt this way about anyone before
He wants nothing more then to push his upperclassmen aside and take you in his arms and hold you the way they do
He'd do anything to have you smile at him the way that you smile at those three and Haibara
He's a mess, always fuming when Gojo pops into the common room where you are and invites you to lunch or just drags you off somewhere else
He hates Gojo the most bc he spends the most time with you
Gojo is just so casual about hugging you and holding your hand and pinching your cheeks and squishy your upper arms and it just makes Nanami so MAD
One day he overhears your conversation
"What do you mean you've never been picked up??"
"I just haven't! I'm too big."
"What? That's bullshit, c'mere."
"Sato, wait-"
And suddenly Gojo is wrapping his arms around you and hoisting you over his shoulder, twirling you around in a circle
You're squealing and laughing as he holds onto your legs, twirling round and round as Nanami slows and watches the two of you having a ball
He's so furious with Gojo, but his stomach is fluttering when he sees how excited you are and when he sees your thighs squished against Gojo's arms-
He makes eye contact with Gojo, blushes and then runs off like he wasn't just watching his senpai practically flirt with you
He sees red when Gojo blows a raspberry on your cheek one day, practically kissing you as he blew against your skin and made you giggle so sweetly that Nanami could've died and gone to heaven
He's never wanted to punch somebody more in his entire life
He becomes even angrier when Gojo confronts him about it
"Hey Nanamin! How's it going?"
He won't respond, too angry to speak
"Ahh, are you mad about somethin? Is it because Y/N won't hang out with you?"
His blush makes Gojo laugh, and Nanami just gets angrier
"I have to go-"
"Waitwaitwait, hold on, I didn't come here to piss ya off!" His arm drapes over Nanami's shoulder and he leans in close. "The year 2 students are going on a trip to the beach tomorrow, and we were gonna invite the year 1 students too!"
"I'm not interested-"
"Haibara and Y/N already said they would go," Nanami freezes, body going stiff, "and Y/N's swimsuit is pretty cute..."
There's a long pause between the two.
"...fine."
"Alright! We leave at 8am!"
The beach is beautiful and Nanami is happy to be there, but he can't enjoy himself, not when you're splashing around in the water in the most adorable bathing suit he's ever seen
But, of course, you're splashing around with Gojo and laughing and playing in the water without a care in the world and he is seething under his beach umbrella
He wishes he had the guts to go out and play around with you, but you're showing so much skin and he can barely look at you let alone get close enough to you to splash you with water
Geto sees him sulking and goes to check on him
"Something wrong, Nanami?"
Nanami shrugs, stealing a glance at you, flushing at your bright smile before burying his face into his knees
Geto is a smart boy and catches on quick
"Ah... you've got a crush on them, right?"
"No, I don't."
C'mon Nanami we know you like Y/N just admit it and ask them out
"I see..." He sits down next to Nanami. "Do you want to talk about it?"
"There's nothing to talk about."
"C'mon, Nanami. It's kinda obvious that you like them."
"Please stop talking-"
"There's nothing to be ashamed of. Y/N is a nice person. Of all the people to fall for, they're the best."
Nanami glares at Geto from the corner of his eye, and his senpai notices it and smiles.
"You can hide your true feelings behind dirty looks as long as you want, Nanami-kun, but it'll never make you happy."
Geto leaves after that, and Nanami has a lot of thinking to do
He stays under his beach umbrella all day reading a book, stealing glances of you and blushing before going back to reading
It's a v frustrating day and it doesn't get better when Gojo suggests going out for ice cream
He drags everyone along to a local ice cream shop
You get a vanilla cone and lo and behold just a few minutes later it drips down onto your chest and you wipe it off casually and lick it off your fingers and Nanami turns so red that ppl get concerned
"Nanami-kun, are you okay?"
"I-I'm fine."
"Are you sure? Did you get a sunburn?"
"N-no, it's nothing, I'm fine, just a little hot."
Gojo knows exactly whats up and decides to push Nanami's buttons more
"You're so messy, Y/N! You gotta be more careful~"
AND THEN GOJO WIPES UP A LITTLE BIT OF ICE CREAM LEFT ON YOUR CHEST AND LICKS IT OFF HIS FINGERS AND NANAMI WANTS TO FUCKING SCREAM
Nanami goes back to his room at the end of the day completely devastated, just so frustrated and upset and angry and distraught
He literally screams into his pillows and kicks at his bed like a fucking toddler
He just! Doesn't know how to handle his emotions! He's literally never felt this way before and it makes him so angry and he's so lost
What he does know is that he needs to grow some balls and tell you how he feels already because he can't stand seeing Gojo flirt with you 24/7
You're too soft and sweet for someone like Gojo, and Nanami just wants to hold you and protect you and-
Yeah, he needs to confess to you. If he doesn't, he's gonna give himself an aneurysm
SMUTTY
Nanami's feels guilty admitting this, but his thoughts for you have never been completely pure
He's always found you attractive, but obviously he didn't understand these feelings at first
He thought the boiling feeling in his gut when he heard you laughing with Haibara was anger, but he later realized that it was arousal
AND THAT WAS A WHOLE NOTHER CAN O' WORMS TO DEAL WITH
He tried to ignore his sexual feelings towards you at first bc it didn't feel appropriate but let's be honest he just didn't know how to handle these feelings towards you
The night he realizes that he likes you, he's finally able to acknowledge his sexual attraction towards you, and suddenly something in him snaps
He starts thinking about your body and how your uniform squishes into you
Your breasts and belly strain against your shirt, your hips and ass pressed firmly against the top of your skirt, your legs barely contained by the black tights that you wore
His face burns when he feels his cock start to throb, growing and aching in his pajamas
He's never had a problem with being sexually aroused before--in the past, if he was ever horny, it was usually just biological and wasn't caused by anything in particular
But now there was you
You with your pretty eyes and gorgeous hair and plump lips that look so soft and delicious and he can't help but imagine grabbing you, pulling your plush body to his and kissing you hard-
Shit.
He's not going to be able to sleep until he takes care of this, so he pushes down his pants and underwear, hissing as he grabs his cock
He tries to just focus on the feeling, to ignore the reason he has a hard on in the first place, but he can't stop his thoughts from drifting off towards you
He hates himself for it, but he starts thinking about your body in detail, imagining what you would look like naked
He imagines that your breasts have stretch marks littered all over them, spreading over your tummy and thighs
He wishes he could trace them, count how many there are, maybe he lick over them as he stares up at your pretty face
God, your face
You really were the prettiest person he had ever seen, and he wanted nothing more than for you to smile in his direction, your eyes sparkling as you skipped towards him for a hug when he gets back from a mission
He groans, moving his hand faster as he thinks about you undressing in front of him, shimmying out of your uniform and letting him see you clearly
He thinks about squeezing the pudgy bits of your body, kissing and biting them as he brings you closer to him
He's sure that you're a virgin, you're too pure not to be, and the thought of being the first to touch you makes him shudder
I imagine he's still a virgin at this point: he's just never gotten around to having sex because he's too busy
But he's suddenly grateful that he is a virgin because then he can imagine the two of you sharing your first time together, fumbling in the dark under your covers
He turns over in bed, moving onto his stomach so he can grind his cock into his bed, groaning into his pillow
It isn't enough, so Nanami pushes his pillow down to his hips and starts thrusting into it, eyes squeezing shut as he imagines that it's you under him instead, your body warm and soft beneath him
He's moaning softly and grunting as he pushes his head into the bed, wishing that he could be in your cunt instead, hearing you whimper and moan for him
The thought of your fucked out face--hooded eyes crossed slightly and filled with tears, mouth open wide as you cried out for him, his name spilling from your perfect lips--pushes him over the edge, cum spurting out over his sheets
He keeps grinding his hips into the pillow, whining softly as he mutters your name over and over, eventually falling to the bed and panting
He catches his breath and comes down from his high, groaning and immediately regretting getting off like that
His pillowcase, sheets, and pajamas are covered in cum and he's so aggravated and annoyed with himself
He takes everything off and goes back to bed, slightly uncomfortable with his different sleeping situation
He's even more nervous around you after that
He knows it's not possible, but he's sure that you know he jerked off to the thought of you and he is drowning in shame
Does he stop jerking off and thinking about you the entire time?
No, but he doesn't feel good about it sksksk
He starts masturbating more consistently, at least a couple times a week
He doesn't really want to, but every time he sees you he gets flushed and starts thinking dirty thoughts and he ultimately has to take care of his frustrations late at night
He'll either lie on his back and fuck up into his fist, imagining your pretty body bouncing on his cock, or he'll rut into a spare pillow he found, thinking about thrusting into your sweet cunt over and over as you cry beneath him
Seeing Gojo flirt with you just pisses him off and makes him more aggressive when he masturbates
He imagines fucking you harder, biting and sucking marks onto your skin so that Gojo would realize that you're taken and he had no right to touch you
He knows that you don't belong to him, but he can't help but feel possessive when he sees the upperclassmen touch you so casually
He hates when Gojo invites you all to the beach bc he knows that Gojo has something planned bc he always does
So when he sees you in that revealing two piece suit, splashing around in the water, your body bouncing every time the waves his you, he feels like he's been blessed
Part of the reason why he stayed seated the whole day was because he had a raging hard on for most of the time
The last thing he wanted was for you to see him like that and think he was a pervert
And then when you went for ice cream and some of it spilled onto your breasts?
He was sure he would cum just from the sight
His arousal faded when Gojo scooped up the last of the ice cream from your chest and licked it off his fingers
He was enraged, his instincts screaming at him to beat the shit out of his upperclassman for putting his hands on you like that
Nanami was glad that you thought it was an innocent action, but he knew what Gojo was doing and it pissed him off
He was pouty the whole way home, going to his room immediately while the others went to the common room
He slammed the door behind him, kicking the foot of his bed before flopping down onto it, groaning angrily into his pillow
His anger soon turned into arousal once he thought back on you in your skimpy bathing suit and the white cream that had fallen on your chest
Damn it
He's hard and so of course he starts jerking off to relieve some stress
He imagines you in front of him, on your knees, adorable doe eyes looking up at him innocently
He'd cup your soft cheeks, guiding you towards his cock
You may be innocent and naive, but you would understand what he wanted, parting your pretty plump lips and wrapping them around the head of his cock
He was groaning a bit louder, knowing that the rest of the students were hanging out in the common rooms. No one would be back here for hours, so he could relax a bit
Your mouth would be so hot around him, drool spilling past your lips as you bobbed your head up and down on his cock
You'd be so good for him, so sweet, so perfect, so wonderful-
The thought of cumming on your breasts sends him over the edge, your name spilling from his lips a bit louder than he intended
He'd slump to his bed, beyond frustrated that he couldn't just confess to you already, hating that he was such a wimp and couldn't-
A soft knock at his door made him jolt, sitting upright in bed
"Wh-Who is it?"
"Uh... it's me, Y/N..."
Nanami would freeze, unsure of what to do
He'd get up a moment later, cautiously walking to his door and opening it
Shit, you were still in your swimsuit, a see through shawl wrapped around you
"What is it?"
"Um, Sato said that you needed to see me... so i came by to see what you wanted."
God damn you, Gojo
"I don't need anything. He was mistaken."
You nodded slightly, fiddling with your fingers as you looked around.
"I... um, I-I heard you say my name..."
Shit
"I-I didn't-"
"Were you thinking about me while you jerked off?"
Nanami flushed, gripping the door handle tightly
"How did..."
"You've got cum on your chest."
He looks down at his chest, blushing when he sees that yes, there was a bit of cum that was strewn across his abdomen
"I-I'm sorry, I-"
"I didn't think you liked me..."
Nanami's eyes flick towards you and his cock comes to life again
Your arms are squished together, making your breasts press against each other, and you thighs are rubbing up on one another
He isn't sure if he'll ever get another opportunity like this again
"Can... can I show you how much I like you?"
He swallows hard when you bite your lip, looking up at him
"...Sure."

A Brief And Concise Summary Of Is Wrong With The ACOTAR Series
I think we can agree that a lot of ACOTAR is pretty iffy. Consider this a very brief refresher.
What's Wrong With Feyre/Rhysand (juxtaposed against Feyre/Tamlin)
Rhysand drugs and sexually assaults her in Book 1
This is "for her own good". Because he "has no choice". Despite the fact that, from what we know of the plot, Amarantha thinks that Clare Beddor was the one Rhysand was diddling, and is only interested in Feyre because Rhysand, "her" man male, has taken an interest in her.
If we extrapolate from this we can figure that Rhysand is the one directly putting her into danger.
Now, let's be clear: drugging someone is bad. Sexually assaulting someone is bad. One could argue there were extenuating circumstances. But if, in such a situation, what your mind goes to is "I know, I should assault this person... for their safety" I have questions about your moral qualities. There were a million things he could have done. He could have done whatever he did to Clare - that is, remove her ability to feel any pain - easily. He could have helped her escape. Under The Mountain, he - while still there unwillingly - has a lot of power, as Amarantha's side piece. Maybe this would have resulted in him being punished- however, he is hundreds of years old and a badass motherfucker, and she is a nineteen year old human girl.
Now, onto Tamlin. Obviously not a lot of people really ship F/T anymore after ACOMAF, because compared to F/R, it's boring. I read another person's post about it, which was very enlightening: they said that Feyre's personality is essentially a mirror. When she is with Rhysand, she's snarky and malicious- because she is "bouncing off" his energy. When she's with Mor she's super feminist and "in awe of her strength". On the other hand, Tamlin is kind of an empty character. He's a pretty boy with anger issues, which should be more interesting than it is. SJM manages to make him bland. Because Feyre has nothing to bounce off of, (a lot of this is from the person's post), she and Tamlin together is mainly just him introducing her to his world.
What Tamlin Does: prevents a skinny twenty year old from going on dangerous missions with him and combat-trained soldiers, accidentally blows up a room with her in it, and, at the end, prevents her from leaving the house.
This is not a Tamlin apologist post. Obviously it was really fucking gross of him to do that, and their relationship was toxic. However, a lot of his abuse stems from their inability to communicate, as well as own negligence. He does not knowingly and purposefully sexually assault her or rape her mind. And tbh, leaving a girl without combat training at home while he goes on missions with a bunch of muscled sentries is... kind of reasonable?
Again: not a Tamlin apologist post. It was abuse. However, if Rhysand is "allowed" to sexually assault, mind-rape, and drug Feyre "for her own safety", why is Tamlin demonized for preventing her from leaving his mansion "for her own safety"?
Another pertinent point: Rhys is never punished for sexually assaulting her. It is brushed off as part of his "mask" or that his hand was forced. Jesus Christ my dudes, his hand was not forced under her skirt. If he has to maintain his gross rapist abuser tyrant oppressor mask... why? Who did that benefit beside him? None of his actions remotely helped Prythian. They were done solely for his buddies - five people safe in a rich hidden city - and no one else, which is explicitly stated.
Finally, the power dynamic is fucked up. Feyre is less than twenty five years old. Rhysand is 500. There is a tendency in fantasy romance to romanticize a centuries year old man with a young girl, because the man does not show symptoms of age, and so it is easily ignorable. However, can we just briefly acknowledge how fucked up it is? Rhys is over five times older than Donald Trump, Harvey Weinstein, Jeffrey Epstein, and other known predators/abusers. She is twenty. That is really fucking gross. She is in a vulnerable position and he takes rampant advantage of that.
If he had wrinkles, liver problems, and erectile dysfunction, more people would acknowledge it.
Let's be clear: I'm not saying writing a book with an uneven power dynamic is automatically bad. For example, in The Locked Tomb series, which is in my opinion THE BEST FANTASY SERIES THAT HAS GRACED THIS EARTH (lol i'm starting fires), one main character Harrowhark Nonagesimus is in a position of power over Gideon Nav, the other main character. However, this is not glossed over or romanticized. Gideon resents Harrow for this- there is a relationship of mutual antagonism, fraught with unwilling familiarity and intimacy from growing up together. They are roughly the same age. While there is a certain power dynamic (in that world, there is a dynamic of necromancer and cavalier, i.e. sorcerer and sword) the "empowered" character (Harrow) emphatically respects her and does not abuse this power, although both would of course deny this, and she does make a show of threatening and being aloof. In short, while Gideon obeys her, Gideon also has power over Harrow, and the idea of what is essentially slavery is not romanticized.
Feyre Doesn't Face Any Consequences For Her Own Actions
Let me present a radical notion: a guy preventing you from leaving his house does not justify completely fucking ruining his country and harming the people inside it.
In other words: Tamlin does not deserve what she did to him.
I know that sounds iffy. We're conditioned to think that if someone is an abuser, then they are the scum of the earth, they deserve to die, torturing/murdering/doing anything to them is completely A-OK. However, here's another radical notion: someone harming you does not justify you doing worse.
Obviously, the effects of psychological abuse can cause you to hurt other people (see: Nesta), but Feyre deliberately and maliciously (oh, God, that insufferable POV of her in Spring Court; she reads like a cartoonish Disney villain) dismantles his country. She uses sexual manipulation (Lucien), torture (causing the sentry to be whipped), and mind-rape (who didn't she do this to? lol).
A summary of the entire first half of ACOWAR: "It smelled like roses. I hated roses. For this capital offense against my olfactory system, Tamlin and the entire Spring Court deserved to burn in hell. I knew exactly what I was doing. I smiled at him sweetly: no longer a doe, but a wolf. He didn't see my fangs.............." *aesthetic noises*
Man. I'm starting to think SJM had a horrible experience at a Bath & Body Works and took it out on the rest of us. Don't do it, Sarah!! I know Pink Chiffon and Triple Berry Martini are way too strong, but don't take it out on an innocent population!!
She steals from Summer Court (there are, yk, other solutions to theft. Like maybe asking politely) and ruins Spring Court. Her boyfriend - yeesh sorry, MATE - does nothing while a dozen Winter Court children are murdered.
Now: moral ambiguity is not automatically bad. Again using The Locked Tomb as an example, in the second book (spoiler alert), Harrowhark has a sort of moral ambiguity. She was raised from the beginning to worship the King Undying as God, and so she obeys him without question. Because of this, she commits a lot of crimes in His name: she "flips" - i.e. kills - the life force of planets, and she plots murder (albeit the murder of someone who tried to kill her first). There is no attempt to justify this. There is also no attempt to paint her as a virtuous and yet also badass Madonna figure. She is desperate, plagued with the "wreck of herself", and the book clearly displays her moral pitfalls. While her POV is of course colored by her mindset, it also is limited by her lack of information, and we as readers can acknowledge that.
BACK TO ACOTAR: Feyre is seen by everyone as gorgeous, formidable, and essentially perfect. Rhys sees her as flawless, "made for him", wonderful, beautiful, blah blah blah. (THEY ARE SO BAD FOR EACH OTHER; THEY EXCUSE AND GLORIFY EACH OTHER'S CRIMES, IT'S SO BAD, GUYYYS). Tamlin is insanely batshit in love with her, or whatever. To the Night Court she's the High Lady. In this way she personifies the Mary Sue character. (Excerpt from the TV Tropes page on Mary Sues: "She's exotically beautiful, often having an unusual hair or eye color, and has a similarly cool and exotic name. She's exceptionally talented in an implausibly wide variety of areas, and may possess skills that are rare or nonexistent in the canon setting. She also lacks any realistic, or at least story-relevant, character flaws — either that or her "flaws" are obviously meant to be endearing. She has an unusual and dramatic Back Story. The canon protagonists are all overwhelmed with admiration for her beauty, wit, courage and other virtues, and are quick to adopt her as one of their True Companions, even characters who are usually antisocial and untrusting; if any character doesn't love her, that character gets an extremely unsympathetic portrayal." Sound familiar?)
There is the Ourobous scene. And yet, paradoxically, while presented as an acknowledgment of her flaws, it is in fact a rejection of them. She sees her own brutality... and instead of recognizing that she has these deep, deep moral flaws and realizing that she needs to grow and be better, she in fact "accepts" them.
Guys: Self love means: "I'm important to me, so I'm going to get a massage today after work", or "heck, why not splurge on some expensive lotion, you only live once" or "you know what? I had a tough day today. I'm going to get that strawberry cupcake". SELF LOVE DOES NOT MEAN "oh, I accept all the war crimes I have done, I love myself". LOVING YOURSELF DOES NOT MEAN ABSOLVING YOURSELF OF ALL WRONGDOING.
It's this refusal to acknowledge wrongdoing that is so grating about ACOTAR. It's so goddamn one-sided. And you can tell that after Book 1, SJM decided to completely change the trajectory simply because of how jarring Book 2 reads compared to the first one.
Also: Feyre is a very, very young girl (compared to the other ruling fey) who did not know how to read for the majority of her life. She has no experience whatsoever in politics. Her being High Lady is not a win for feminism.
Rhysand: He Sucks
First, he is 500 years old. He should be written as such, not as some 20 year old virile frat boy feminist. Fantasy is all the more compelling for its elements of realism, which is a concept that SJM does not appear to grasp.
Second of all, his morals are absurd. He is written as the Second Coming of Christ, as someone who can do no wrong, ever, and his flaws only serve to make Feyre love him more. Anything shitty he does is written as part of his "mask" and she can See Beneath It and knows that it "hurts" him to maintain this "mask".
Fellas, WHY DOES HE HAVE TO MAINTAIN THIS MASK???? There is no reason for it. If A) he does not give a shit about Court of Nightmares (we'll get back to that), only about Velaris, and B) Velaris is hidden/protected from the world, what is he pretending for?
It would not hurt him politically to be seen as someone who cares about his country.
"Pretending" to be "Amarantha's whore" does not in any way shape or form benefit the macro-world that is Prythian. In Amarantha's name, he commits atrocities. He commits war crimes; he systemically oppresses entire societies. It doesn't even really benefit Velaris, because Velaris is already hidden.
Let me put this in a real-world perspective. This would be like if Donald Trump was suddenly like: "I know I was a shitty president but IT WAS ALL PART OF MY MASK, WHICH WAS TO PROTECT THIS MICROCOSM OF PRIVILEGED PEOPLE THAT I CARE ABOUT". Like: okay? Sorry, or whatever, but I don't actually give a shit. What about the parents of the children who died? What about Clare Beddor? What about the people who were held in slavery, murdered, tortured?
Rhysand: omg it sucks that my cousin Mor was oppressed by this toxic misogynistic culture from the Court of Nightmares.
Also Rhysand: lol whatever, who gives a shit about Court of Nightmares. They all suck. They meanie. Lol what did you say? That there might be other girls just like Mor who are oppressed by this system? Lol whatever. I can't do anything, I gotta maintain my Mask. I gotta sit on this throne and show the entire Court that not respecting women is completely okay.
In summary: by parading Feyre around as his "whore" (!!) he demonstrates by example that it is completely okay for the Court of Nightmares to abuse their women.
A good ruler cares about all his people. Rhysand cares about a tiny tiny fraction of his people: those who were fortunate enough to be born into Velaris.
God, I'm exhausted. Onto Nesta:
The only character who successfully breaks the Mary Sue effect Feyre exerts on her people is Nesta. Her POV for the first half is a joy to read.
Obviously it sucks that Nesta was a huge bitch to Feyre for the beginning of her childhood. However, it was wrong for Rhysand to threaten her- he is a man male with a huge insane amount of power, and it is not okay for him to threaten to bring the brunt of it down on a young girl because she was a bitch to his girlfriend.
I've seen a lot of discourse on the morality of F/R sending her out of Velaris. Here is my two cents:
It was okay for them to cut her off of their money. If they don't want to enable her self-harm, that is their choice. Again, it's their money, even if it wasn't fairly earned (Rhysand born into an enormous fortune).
It was not okay for them to banish her from Velaris with the implication that she was an embarrassment. Let me explain.
If Rhysand and Feyre are talking to her as sister/brother-in-law, then that is that. They have the complete right to express disapproval and try to help. However, they should not be using their royal privilege against her.
If they are talking to her as ruler to subject, then they have the power to banish her from the city. However, a ruler would not give a shit about a random subject getting drunk and having sex. So, they should not be talking her about her problems as a ruler to subject.
I've heard it compared to her being sent to rehab. However, rehab is a system designed to help people with certain problems. It has specialized medical centers and involves therapy. Nesta gets her life threatened multiple times. It is not rehab.
In summary: why did SJM inflict this upon us. Throne of Glass was actually good! GAHHH! After the first few books she completely whipped around and introduced the idea of males and mates and fey and that C is actually A and the quality took a huge nosedive. Sigh.
Final horrible but unmistakable truth: The entire ACOTAR series reads like a bad A/B/O fic. I hate to say it but it's true. We're lucky there were no heat cycles. OH WAIT

Hi Kat, I'm feeling sad and sort of mad here so I might rant, I'd like to know what you think I don't know if you're gonna post it or answer it to avoid controversy and negativity in your blog but I appreciate you got to read it bc I needed to vent, tysm in advance...
I see so many people hating on Harry because he said "clothes are fun" without "making any social statement about it and that he doesn't recognize his privilege of wearing what he wants cause he's rich and famous" and can I just say that it's because of that same privilege he's so influential and has helped so many queer fans to be who they want to be, he's using his privilege for good and also, I hate when people try to force activism out of everyone...
I understand being critical but activism should be genuine and intentional. It just seems to me that they're people from the q community who had an agenda against him before this interview got released, sometimes it doesn't even seen this is about social justice. I've seen the most cruel and hateful comments wishing for him to be miserable and unsuccessful (that's not happening anytime sooner, honey, go off)...
And they don't really know him, they don't know he does more than waving flags and putting stickers on his guitar, he has donated to non-profits, spent money on queer artists, he protested and signed petitions for BLM, he has helped fans to come out, he does have talked on social issues, they're just looking for a reason to be mad tbh...
He might not get too deeply political because he has stated that politics divide people and that is 100% true. He has INDEED recognized he is privileged on a RS interview and that he just wants to show people he sees them and he's here for them. Everybody does activism in different ways, and Harry's certainly isn't performative, he's not obnoxious about it but he's not tone deaf either, he's self-aware.Honestly, I don't understand what this people want?...
If they see this cis boy speaking on gender issues and gender expression on a Vogue interview and talking about trans/nb/gnc people who are opressed then they may fill Twitter with comments like "he doesn't do anything for us, why is he talking about it? he's not our icon" but if he doesn't do it then he's pandering? Do they want an ally who leads a movement and speaks on issues or an ally who does acts of service for the movement and doesn't speak for it? I don't understand, idk if I will..
Finally, no one should be a certain sexuality to be allowed to break gender roles, yes, straight people do have privilege even when they dress androgynous but they shouldn't be cancelled for that...
Now, entering hypothetical (basically confirmed) field, can we talk about how problematic is accusing a closeted person of pandering? If someone have ever told artists like Bowie or Mercury to "stop profiting of queer people" while they weren't out in the public eye, then no one would have paved the way for other men to express themselves, break toxic masculinity and help other gender non-conforming kids. Kids like Janelle Monaé, Billy Porter, Lil Nas, P!nk, Sam Smith and yes, Harry Styles.
(that was the end of my rant btw, it was like 8 asks, I think, hope nothing got lost, sorry for the length but this people literally want Harry to fail because of freaking wearing a skirt and not getting too political about it and I was certainly not having it)
----------------------- Hi anon,
They all arrived!
I’m glad it helps you just to be able to vent, without expecting to be published, so anyone who needs a vent: do feel free to use the service of my inbox 😊
I will publish because I think you are making a few interesting points.
It’s true that Harry can do the things he does because he is privileged – and I completely agree with you that it’s a good thing he is using that privilege to the fullest and thereby changes things for the better for other queer people.
On the other hand, I do understand the frustration of queer people who are less privileged when they wish he would recognize that privilege. It isn’t true that in this day and age anyone can dress the way Harry does on the cover of Vogue, and it could make his “statement”, which in itself is positive for queer people, all the more powerful if he recognized it and expressed his wish for that to change. To me, it’s a question of gradation. Wearing a ruffled dress is really good and changes lives; saying that you wish everyone had the freedom to wear that dress in the way you now have that freedom is even better and raises awareness of intersectionality (when you are LGBTQ and poor, being LGBTQ is more difficult than when you are LGBTQ and rich).
I don’t think Harry is the kind of person you’d need to force activism out of, I do see him as someone who has been activist as well as political on many occasions. Maybe not as political and activist as I’d like him to be, maybe not in the way I would be in his position, but definitely committed to the same causes that I find important, and not afraid of using the position he has to influence when he feels comfortable to do so. I wish he’d been more vocal on a great number of occasions, but I agree with you in that you cannot look at your idols in music and simply expect them to be fervent and perfect political activists. Art can be activist, but it doesn’t have to be, you cannot expect it to be.
Furthermore, I think Harry definitely has some privilege that he’s shown to be unaware of, and I’ve also seen him take things in, learn, change his position (see the RS interview you also mention), and become more vocal politically. In other words: Harry is human.
I have not seen the criticism you are talking about, and it seems there have been various different ones, so I won’t be going into them, some seem more valid, others are not. In any case I would be very hesitant to put it all aside as “queer people who had an agenda against him” or “they’re just looking for a reason to get mad”. That thinking may put you at ease, and stay on your side of things, but it won’t help the conversation. I think it’s important when you’re on two sides of an argument, to try and understand where the unmet need is on the “other” side.
Since I haven’t seen the original arguments, I am not completely clear on this – but it seems that the common thread in your understanding of the criticism he receives is that Harry’s ambiguous identity (while having amply suggested he may be not cis/straight, he hasn’t been straightforward about it) makes it possible for people to criticize him both ways.
I agree with you that you do not need to be queer to be allowed to break gender norms, and that closeted people should not be criticized for breaking gender norms and paving the way, to come out themselves, and for others. But I do see where the frustration on the other side comes from – I don’t think it’s necessarily evil willed towards Harry. What I see, a strong wish and urgent need to have out and proud role models who do these things; and – guessing that a lot of the people criticizing him suspect he is indeed closeted – an enormous frustration that closeting still happens, and about the mixed messages Harry, as a role model, may implicitly gives to queer kids in this way. It’s okay to dress outrageously and challenge norms but it’s not okay to be explicit about your identity and orientation, do keep that vague. I personally feel extremely frustrated about that, even if I also believe this is outside Harry’s will.
“We don’t talk enough, we should open up, before it’s all too much…”
Anyway, long story short anon: I get you. And I think I get the other side too. In the end we all choose whether we want to see the glass as half full or half empty. And I’m siding with you that it’s half full, and with the critics that I wish it were completely full, but then again with you that you cannot really fault Harry for that not (yet) being the case... But it’s okay for it to be said: I wish the glass were full.
#i hope that addresses it all#this was a long ask#ask#anonymous#coming out#gender#vogue#harry#Anonymous

Posting this ask from my main (gotta stay consistent)! Hope you don’t mind anon!
This is actually a great question because you’re right, I have no idea why I put Ayame/Mine and Arisa/Kureno on the same level. The truth is, outside his relationship with Yuki, I find Ayame very boring, so I don’t really mind his relationship status (don't know if him being gay would have changed anything though). Arisa and Kureno though? They’re both very interesting on their own, and I really like them. I think my interpretation of some of the core themes of the show isn’t too far off, but the way Kureno’s arc plays its part in it is very much a personal interpretation, so bear with me here.
So. To be quick, yes, the age gap is probably one of the issues, along with the way their romantic arc is the only thing that ties them together until issue 22 (and I tend to consider issue 23 as an epilogue of sort). Theirs is a very strange romance overall, and I think it all boils down to frustration.
I think most people aren’t squeamish about age gaps as much as they are about power imbalances, so to be fair, Arisa and Kureno are much better off on this front than Katsuya/Kyoko. Arisa is 18, eight years younger than Kureno, so at that ambiguous age where it’s “okay” to date someone older, but also weird when older men are interested in her. It’s pretty obvious that their relationship is heading towards romance but I’m of the mind they take it very slow, so it’s more how it happens that concerns me. (Still, I think it’s important to keep in mind all of the parallels between Arisa/Kureno and Katsuya/Kyoko, although they’re a much healthier version).
I really like that Arisa is given the revelation in chapter 127 that she knows next to nothing about Kureno. She’s intrigued, she has a crush, sure. But we’re only ever shown on one occasion that they would maybe be a good match together (same thing with Mayu/Hatori tbh, but at least we’re told that they’ve known each other for a long time). I don’t really see how her feelings for him evolved into more than a crush. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Where do their arcs lead to? Once she meets him, Uo doesn’t really have an arc that doesn’t revolve around her romance with Kureno. At the end of the series, she has to let go of Tohru, and she has to figure out what comes after high school (she just wants to work and start her life, without any specifics). I think it would have done wonders for her character to be shown struggling with the freedom the end of high school grants her, especially given her past. It would have given her an endpoint to look towards, but also a thematic motif that ties her to the Junichi and to Kureno especially - the one who lost the ability to fly.
Kureno’s arc is very dissonant, compared to the rest of the Zodiac. It’s all about freedom and what to do with it. He’s refused it once, and it shaped his life in a way that has hurt him in the long run. I think it’s fair to say that Kureno was a victim of emotional abuse - a dependency that started when Akito was very young and that he feels responsible for. There’s this ambiguity in Kureno in that he’s the most lonely of the twelve, and still that he’s completely shackled to Akito. So letting Akito go means setting himself up to be alone, and that’s probably something that scares him.
Kureno’s arc is infinitely bittersweet to me. All the other members of the Zodiac understand, with Tohru’s influence, that to help out the world and make it better they need to start with themselves. The easiest way to show that is to have them paired up - because love is always a bit selfish, isn’t it? Kureno hasn’t really grasped that lesson.
I don’t think this is all about Akito - Kureno needs to leave, but his words make it seem like he hasn’t grasped the simple truth that he should be doing it for himself. He’s leaving when everyone’s relationships is becoming easier, healthier. He's finally leaving, taking advantage of his freedom. He’s also ten years too late, and he's doing it with a mix of regret, devotion, and if the need to see the world finally is there, it’s pushed pretty far back.
I don’t really like that it’s Uo - someone he barely knows - and the thought of her, her words, that pushes him to leave his situation. He’d known for a while that it was bad, that he needed to leave for both his and Akito’s sake, but it’s so clearly entangled with his romantic arc in the manga that I can’t get fully behind it. He likes Arisa because she’s strong, and independent, and funny, and a breath of fresh air, and for all the right reasons (and that’s probably where the age gap might matter, because she might be strong but she’s still 18!), but I wish he took the time to figure out how he’s strong and independent on his own. He can still do that, obviously, but this kind of “I’ll follow you anywhere” mentality, in this context... I don’t think this was the solution I wanted for either of them.
So yeah. It’s not the worst relationship, and it might have been good had it been given the proper development, and if they each had individual character arcs (esp for Uo) that sustained such a deep connection so early in their relationship. This is a complicated situation that was given too simple a resolution. As I said, I deal with it by interpreting their last appearance as the hint that there is more to the story and more to deal with, but Takaya’s insistence on giving everyone a resolutely happy ending, while cute, sealed the deal on this one for me. I really do see the appeal though.
#kureno sohma#arisa uotani#kureno x uo#kureno x arisa#thanks for the question i hope it made sense and you didn't mind my arguments!#yuki/machi could have fallen into this pitfall#but they had tohru and kakeru and the students' council to sustain their respective arcs#fruits basket manga spoilers#fruits basket spoilers#my post

I will never get over the "i don't believe in love at first sight / but godamn" gifset for jyn/cassian, it's perfect. also, your tags on the partisan jyn rec have me imagining a persuasion au, this time with cassian as anne and jyn as wentworth (draven as lady russell, I guess??) I love Persuasion AUs and that fic is so good :)
Heeeh, I love it!
I hadn’t really thought of the details of an alternate AU, beyond thinking that captaincy and gender aside, Wentworth (careless, impulsive, generous, spirited) is the most like Jyn, and Anne (obedient, withdrawn, intense, faithful) the most like Cassian. But I think it could work.
(Completely scattered thoughts on the ‘how,’ but I definitely think it would be fun and interesting!)
Draven is definitely the obvious Lady Russell candidate (he could even be ambiguously positive in the way Ly R is, which would be an interesting take on him). Mon Mothma would be very interesting, too—I think she’s more of a Lady Russell-type personality (which would leave Draven as Sir Walter, omfg). And I think it would allow for some exploration of what’s the most interesting part of Persuasion for me.
The thing is, Persuasion never really answers the question of whether Anne was morally wrong or right to break off her relationship with Wentworth under Lady Russell’s influence. It feels wrong. It turned out badly. But morality is not determined by consequences alone, and here, there’s a complex system of obligations and risks at play. Anne felt an obligation to listen to Lady Russell’s advice—not to obey unthinkingly, but to strongly factor it into her decision-making process, given her own youth, Lady Russell’s role as her surrogate mother, and her deep respect for her.
And Lady Russell was right in believing there were real risks to Anne marrying Wentworth so young, risks to any children they might have, etc. His ‘I don’t need to save anything, I’ve always been lucky, I’ll always be lucky’ shtick did him zero favours—Mr Price probably thought so, too, and the fact that Wentworth’s luck did hold is … well, lucky. “I’m going to go fight Napoleon and make a bunch of money, everything’s going to be fine” is not a compelling argument!
On top of that, the winning point in Lady Russell’s argument—the thing that finally swayed Anne—was that the marriage would be bad for Wentworth. A young, delicate wife with no dowry and a collection of snobbish, expensive, totally douchey relatives would be a genuine disadvantage to a young sailor with no connections and no money. And that is also, in fact, perfectly reasonable.
So it’s not simply a snobbish woman dissuading a weak-willed girl who then develops a stronger sense of self through suffering and maturity. Snobbery absolutely played a part in Lady Russell’s motives—all of this would have been much less pressing if Wentworth were someone more like Colonel Fitzwilliam, who would double as a Worthy Alliance and bring powerful, wealthy relations into the picture. Anne may very well have been less swayed by Lady Russell’s arguments if she hadn’t faced uniform opposition from her family, hadn’t been so young and uncertain. But nevertheless, those arguments were largely reasonable, and in the end, Anne’s view is that she wishes she hadn’t taken Lady Russell’s advice, that she would never give the same advice, but that morally she was right to take it.
I mean, there’s a lot going on there, ethically, and the book doesn’t offer clear conclusions. (UNCLEAR ETHICAL DILEMMAS
ANYWAY, MULTIPLE PARAGRAPHS LATER, that’s not something I often see confronted, even in full-on adaptations. (Particularly, one might say. >_>) And I think it would be interesting to play with it—something where Draven/Mothma/whomever have entirely valid reasons (but also dodgy ones) for their interference, and where Cassian has a real obligation to consider their opinions, and where the killing blow (as it were) would be that he is bad for Jyn (only too easy to believe he’d find convincing!).
It’s even … like. I can definitely see Draven being profoundly unenthusiastic about his 23-y-o prodigy spy suddenly getting entangled with a 19-y-o Partisan who is also the daughter of an Imperial collaborator. But I think it’s very possible that the likes of Mothma and Draven would probably not care that much about the flings of teens and 20-somethings. The kind of concerted, intense effort leveled against Anne in Persuasion might need something more.
But Cassian, despite his sidelines in assassination and field command, is primarily a recruiter. So. Suppose that his ostensible mission is rebuilding ties with the Partisans and working out some mutual support arrangement. But in reality, the judgment of Intelligence is that the Partisans are doomed by their extreme insularity, drastic collateral damage, unclear objectives, and attraction of Imperial attention. Coordination with the Partisans is an acceptable start, but the actual goal is to draw as many of Saw’s highly-skilled fighters into the Alliance as possible before the whole organization self-destructs or gets obliterated, but without turning Saw actively against them.
Of course, it’s not a secret that the Alliance is generally out to peel off as many recruits as they can get, and ofc the Rebel agent is going to be trying to draw people into the Rebellion. But what they don’t know is that this is why Cassian is there.
Okay, anyway, this is what 23-y-o Cassian is up to. It’s a task of extraordinary trust, and he’s on guard against almost everything. But falling madly in love with Saw’s foster daughter was not one of those things. And it’d be one thing if he was just pining (it would be awful, but—), but no, this ferocious, shining supersoldier is (for some reason) also in love with him.
On top of that, they’re both very much older than their ages, but in some ways younger—they were never able to be kids, to have silly crushes, anything like that. So they’re dorky and overwhelmed and unrealistic, just swept off their feet. They hold hands and talk about … running off together? But they can’t stop fighting the Empire. Cassian would never make a Partisan, but Jyn could join the Rebellion. And then they could be together!!!
(I suspect that at heart, Jyn wants out; large-scale collateral damage is not her gig.)
Anyway, Cassian would get a very sharp reality check, because the point was to draw away as many useful soldiers as he could without completely antagonizing Saw, and wow is “seducing away his best soldier and, oh yeah, DAUGHTER” not included in that description. Of course, he’s horrified because It’s Not Like That, but also … well. Yeah.
And while Jyn is brashly sure that of course she’ll succeed at whatever she does, she always has, he’s increasingly doubtful that she’d be at all happy in the Rebellion. The Partisans are her family, the only life she knows; she doesn’t know anyone else in the Rebellion at all, she’d chafe under the command structure, she’d lose everything, and have nothing to counterbalance it all but one tormented spy.
They’re not going to demand that a talented soldier not join the Rebellion, of course, or involve themselves in the obvious affair. But they don’t have to; once persuaded, Cassian does the dirty work himself. He persuades Jyn to stay with the Partisans after all, breaks things off, and leaves, having carefully arranged for a good number of Partisans to defect to the Rebellion over the next several months. Jyn, naturally, feels furious and betrayed (all the more after some of her friends leave).
And that’s where it starts, lol. Now I’m thinking—like, taking ‘little sister’ and running with it, Sophy would be Baze and Admiral Croft would be Chirrut (AMAZE). While I don’t see Cassian getting winded by a long walk à la Anne, he could be hiding an injury or something that Jyn notices (and hates that she notices, and hates more that nobody else does).
I don’t know at all who would play the Louisa Musgrove role (it’s not my favourite element of the plot tbh, but kind of necessary). And I don’t know how the scene with Wentworth helping Anne with her nephews would play out but it needs to happen, it’s my favourite. And of course the gender politics wouldn’t really work. (Though Wentworth/Jyn coming to their senses via competence kink would, lol.) And we’d need some terribad teammates or something to serve the role of the Elliots.
(Draven would really be the best bet, if not already taken as the Lady Russell. That really works best as someone that Cassian is actually close to, though, which is… like, nobody. And honestly, Lady Russell is the only person Anne is close to, but—OMG, KAY. IF KAY IS LADY RUSSELL … JESUS. HAHAHA WOW. That’d even work with Kay and Jyn being super chilly at each other, and Cassian could overhear Jyn talking ~idly~ with some of the rest of the team about a mission that went hilariously-in-retrospect wrong thanks to Rebel!Mary Musgrove this shitty commander. They’d have much rather had Andor, since SpecOps do serve under Intelligence now and then, but couldn’t get him. The rumour was that [x] talked him out of it. And Jyn’s like, huh, he’s very easily persuaded, isn’t he? And they’re … not really? That damn droid and direct commands are pretty much the only thing that stops him.)
((For bonus awful: during their brief honeymoon phase, the idea had been that Jyn would join up with SpecOps and once he made captain, they could build a joint Intel/SpecOps team.))
Oh, and Benwick is a former Partisan who was in love with a civilian in Jedha who died before they could settle down. I think the Harvilles joined the Rebellion (probably Cassian’s not!recruits, in fact). Also, there definitely needs to be a way of working in the ‘even when hope is gone’ speech (though as above, the gender politics don’t work at all).
Ha, even the ‘I should not have known her’ slam could work? I mean, it’s absurd to talk about Cassian as ~faded~, but he is definitely prematurely aged, and Jyn could easily make a snide remark about hardly recognizing him.
I can’t see Jyn writing anything so melodramatic as Wentworth’s letter, but it’d be sort of hilarious if she types up her vision into a datapad and then is trying to figure out a way to casually leave it lying around, but not so casually that Cassian doesn’t notice. (As if, but Emotions.)
