I think ball-tilt puzzles need to be the new escort mission phenomenon in games. You know like, puzzles where you have to control a ball in some form, usually by tilting the course around it. By "escort mission phenomenon," I mean, the next form of in-game challenge that devs keep putting in games to everybody's ire until they eventually realize everyone universally despises it and slowly stop implementing it.

#i think it was vinny vinesauce who said something like. ball puzzles are my pool of insanity #he was so right for saying that #every time i have to engage with one i start feeling demons possessing me and my humanity slipping away #by pool of insanity i think that's originally referencing a crack theory abt breaking bad that hank's swimming pool #is the source of all the bad things in the show. like being near or in it drives the characters to insanity somehow #although there is a form of rage unique to inane video game puzzles and if that was totally eliminated from my life i'd kinda miss it #you know. the feeling when you are so angry at a stupid video game and you know it's stupid but you're still losing your mind
