This is fairly random but perhaps this serves as a distraction for today's mess even briefly (I hope you're well, by the way. And if not right now, I offer you a virtual cup of hot cocoa and a warm blanket.)

But long story short: I'm someone whose interest has been piqued by shotas. Unfortunately I have severe moral OCD and paranoia, which is actively disallowing me from digging as deeply as I'd genuinely love to for less....sfw shotas. I love those, too, but....

I know it's non-sensical, quite obviously, because logically no authority is gonna come knocking at my door the moment I search up "shota" on some 18+ manga site, but I figure that perhaps asking someone deep in the community might help put me a bit more at ease. Therefore:

Did you also even partially experience this when at the start of your adventure to becoming a shota fan??

I've never had any sort of shame or doubt, I never experienced guilt because I've always known that fiction =/= reality and that fiction had always served the purpose of making human experience all kinds of scenarios and emotions in the safety of its bounds without letting anything impact the real life. Maybe this was due to my upbringing, maybe it was because I'm not from the us, maybe it's because I took classical studies at first during high school and those really do help, maybe it's Maybelline!

But honestly, guilt is part of the experience! This kind of stuff is more exciting when you embrace the underlying guilt of it all. You know it would be wrong and that makes it even hotter. The forbidden fruit yadda yadda.

I don't know how to help you, tho, I think it's something you need to process on your own a bit at a time by slowly exposing yourself to it?
