i love hearing elderly people talk about their spouses and saying when they met them they lit up the room... they were the most beautiful person they'd ever seen... they couldn't believe someone so stunning would want to talk to them... then you see a picture of them at the time and they just look normal. it's so sweet, you know? there's so much pressure now to look a certain way and meet ridiculous and unattainable standards that it's nice sometimes to remember that beauty truly is in the eye of the beholder.
