Looking up gender transition resources and thinking about how I'm going to explain spending my 20s in denial.
#def not an 'i always knew' person#also unfortunately i've read enough gender critical shit to be wary of putting too much weight on what my child self wanted#it probably is true that wanting to be a boy is as much a cis girl's childhood experience as it is for someone who later comes out as trans#that is due to a lot of factors#i have talked to other CAFAB people who are currently in the process of getting gender dysphoria diagnoses#and 'what your child self wanted' is a common theme they present#i just can't do it i'm sorry- i know some kids are hyper gendered but as far as i'm concerned i had no gender at 10 or under#society forces it after that but if your parents aren't that bothered then i think under 10=no gend#my parents were definitely on board for a tomboy child and found my little sister's early boy-craziness and desire for barbies unnerving#anyway i think in my case figuring out i was trans happened at the same time as developing my own personhood#so it's not possible to talk about it without talking about what caused me to act as 'default person'#'through my teens and most of my 20s
