"the crazy thing about this is that I think the comics ARE Ms. Pauling's corruption arc or at least the beginning of it" same though?? i dunno what valve had planned for after the comics, if anything at all -- but miss pauling's seemingly wavering faith during her afterlife scene in comic 6 is really fascinating to me. both she (and the mercs and the audience) are unaware of what helen's planning, and it's wild to me that there's only one issue left to resolve all of it? if the administrator dies and all the australium is gone-gone, wouldn't that change canon's status quo quite a bit? the implications of it all.....

My brain can only create 3 possible outcomes for the end of the comic in a general sense. After the Administrator Does whatever she was going to do.

Everything's fucked up, but there is no war to fight, so everyone goes their separate ways, and TF2 ends. I think if they did this it would have been followed by some kind of announcement about a final major update for the game, but the servers still being open. We would be where we are now, but with a little/a lot more closure on the story and the game as a whole. Maybe it would have died if this had happened... After all, a lot of the people still dedicated to the game and keeping it alive after all these years are doing so on the hope that Valve will return to us like the second cumming of Jesus(pronounced heh-soos), if they had put it to rest, we might not have nearly as many people still around carrying the torch like the madlads we all are.

Everything's Fucked But It's Fucked In The Way It Was Before Slightly To The Left Whatever Happened Happened and Pauling and the Mercs Kept it Pushing. I think in this even there probbaly would have been more effort put into the Show, and def more into updating TF2. Like, the Administrator is definitely dead, but maybe Pauling takes her place and begins orchestrating games of her own. A Never Ending War and all. Pauling goes from being the hands that pull the strings to the mind behind it all as well. Perhaps an announcement of TF3! TF3 sounds wrong though. I would call it TF2 Part 2 this time it's just business. Maybe new Mercs? I dunno, this one just feels like a fantasy.

Same as 2 but when they keep it pushing but we still get teh radio silence so it's like right now but the comic is just complete. Let's be honest this would be the most likely thing to happen all things considered. They finish it, no more nothing, and we all go on to wallow in this merc filled mud. I like this mud tho, it's nice mud.

I don't know, like... the only things I can see Pauling doing is taking the Administrator's place and running the whole thing herself. After all, she IS the most skilled and mentally competent person there, she knows more than any of them do about how this all works, she just doesn't know the Why. But i think Hamilton should have been the second president in tf2 universe, his whole life is the same, affair, son dead, get shot, but he did get elected. I just think that would be funny.
