If there's one good thing that came from my inability to write "Stronger Than Blood" last year, it was the decision to make a slight change between Ardyn and Mip: they're adopted siblings now c:

In late 2024 I had the thought of shifting Ardyn and Mip’s relationship from father and daughter to brother and sister, mainly because I felt like Ardyn’s youth and personality better fit the mold of a big brother figure. Not much would change as a result anyway so I realized a sibling relationship between them could be cute and fitting. I love siblings in stories and while many of my characters canonically have siblings, they're generally not the main focus. So as a younger sister myself, I wanted to give some attention to that connection.

Besides, I already have two young characters with adopted fathers, so that particular trope is satisfied XD It's always my goal to create distinct characters with unique backgrounds and relationships, and sometimes when I find myself falling into the same habits, changes like this can be encouraging and exciting. It means development is still happening!
