Honestly now that I'm learning more abt Reca and from the little fics I've read and art I've seen he's like.. not rlly in character in any of them imo..

I've commonly seen like “he'd get on his knees before you and praise you” or “he'd kiss the ground you walk on” or shit like that and it's like, maybe, but also not rlly no.. yes he's a loser but he's not like that?? At least to me?? From what I've seen of the 2.6 update so far, he just seems like.. a loser, as I said.. but not “worshipping a lover” kind of character.

Yes he's dramatic yes he's uh a little silly, but also can we not just make his character this weirdo and make that the only thing he's known for? I feel like characters that are a bit of freaks (in a weird way) are just turned into perverted weirdos a lot and it's just like :(( I feel like Reca is sm more than that and I mean idk.. this might just be me not liking this kind of thing.

How I see his character is yes, a big part of him is his love for film, that much is being said in the fandom, it's literally his speech and how he talks. He's this guy who's a renowned director, having a big dramatic flair — rolling his r's, bowing when we are first shown him, holding a hand out with the other behind his back when speaking— I could go on. He literally gags at a bad angle of the tb. I love the dramatic flair abt him sm.

And his voice — it fits his role of a director, one that's maybe a little bit of a weird freak — it's so him. But I feel like ppl are taking the weirdo freak abt his personality, making it the only thing abt him, and turning it into smut fics or just fics that all have a weird vibe to them (at least to me).

Ik it's common for characters to get mischaraterized but like .. Reca.. Reca my love. They're making him this weirdo that worships his lover, but I think he'd just be a loser for them. Head over heels for them, and praising them yes — but not to a worshipping level.

(I haven't actually finished 2.6 as of posting this but I just felt like posting my thoughts, and would rather not engage with any arguments of any kind abt this — this is only my opinion.)
