finally got to watch dipper and mabel vs the future and two of the weirdmageddon eps with my sis and it's a weird feeling after reading the initial pitch bible for the show because you then realise that ford's apprenticeship offer is basically what alex had pitch!stan's motivation be (aka pitch!stan being the guardian of gravity falls and deciding which twin should be his successor to protect the town)

#its even funnier cos alex was intending to have the agents make that apprentice offer to dipper #before realising it made more sense for ford to do it as dipper's idol #meaning they unintentionally went full circle with all of it #it taking months for my sis to finish the show cos she was procrastinating s1 for ages cos it not being plot focused....#and then i accidentally had a pic of ford up when i was drawing so that was a giant spoiler lmaoooo #pitch!stan being the guardian of the town is hilarious in contrast to canon stan avoiding all the weirdness as much as possible #the guy stayed the fuck away from the general weirdness and focused on that portal.... but also doing his own weird crimes as a treat <3 #its for personal enrichment dangit!!!! let the man impersonate a dentist for who knows what reason!!!!#also soos being swayed by the mabeland dad illusion when he's offered the chance to play catch #but then soos later asking stan to play catch after overhearing stan's hangups over never being able to #play catch with his dad and that being why he made footbot for his science fair project
