There were exactly four different occasions between Wednesday and Sunday of last week when I spoke about Taika Waititi or one of his movies with this old friend of mine, might seem a lot of times but we actually spent many hours together and we spoke about many other things so I thought I was being very casual about the whole 'me being head over heels for Taika like a teenager' thing except that when earlier this evening I told to this friend "Yeah..I've just finished re-watching 'Free Guy'" his answer was "That's nice and of course you watched it just because there's Taika Waititi in it" WOW HOW DARE HE READ RIGHT THROUGH ME AND SAY TRUE THINGS ABOUT STUFF I THOUGHT I WAS BEING SUBTLE ABOUT?! JUST BECAUSE YOU'VE KNOWN ME FOR 15 YEARS YOU THINK YOU CAN EXPOSE ME LIKE THAT!? So yeah..I was watching it because of Taika and apparently I'm not subtle at all......

#taika waititi #i mentioned him 4 times #once because I had to pitch to this friend #our flag mean death #then on saturday THERE WAS LITERALLY A GROUP OF COS PLAYERS DRESSED AS VAMPIRES AND WEREWOLF I had to mention #what we do in the shadows #hours later we were going home after watching 'Morbius' and I was like 'this sucked but can't wait for Thor to see what Taika has done'#and then HE mentioned wanting to watch JoJo Rabbit and I was like 'OHMYGOD YOU HAVEN'T SEEN IT?!GO WATCH IT YOU'LL LOVE IT'#and THAT'S IT like I didn't speak about him or his movies anymore AND YET..i mean..there's a reason why we've been friends for so long #but when he wrote me like 'and of course there's taika in that movie' I was starring at the text while thinking 'HOW DOES HE KNOW?!'#im an idiot and i need to sleep #i'll just leave this here #and go to bed #also so many typos but im on my phone and tumblr won't let me edit anything
