i have been debating on and off for a while what itachi's relationship with kushina is like in reborn au pre-team 4. and i just found this post (and read the linked fic at the bottom semi-recently) and actually the idea that kushina saw itachi-- the weirdest kid on the planet-- and went "i want my own baby!!!" is so fucking funny.

anyway imagine a time travel itachi torn between dodging kushina's babysitting attempts versus the fear that if he's not cute enough, naruto will never be born
