Marine Biologist AU that no one asked for but I wrote because I miss my second home. Probably two parts.
Very brief mention of a family members death
"Hi welcome to-" Leo stopped his normal speech when he was met with the two most gorgeous men he had ever laid eyes on. "Welcome to the Fort Fisher aquarium. I'm your tour guide Leo and this is Regulus." He somehow managed to snap out of his shock even though the greeting was all muscle memory.
“Two guides. Must be special." The red haired one laughed a laugh that made doves fly. "I'm Finn." He shook their hands.
"That and both of us wanted a break from sticky children trying to swim with the sharks and gators." Reg smiled.
"Sharks? Like ocean sharks? And ocean alligators?" The shorter one asked in shock and a lot more than a sprinkle of fear.
'Fuck he's adorable' Leo swore internally. "Alligators are typically fresh water reptiles but if you are asking if they are real sharks and alligators, than no. They're they’re hyperealalistic mechanical sculptures." He kept a straight face.
"Cute and funny." Finn flashed him a smile after another angelic laugh.
Leo had to remind himself to not die right then and there.
“Don't worry, Logan" Finn told the other one. "I'll protect you from the scary teeth, baby."
Now Leo was sad.
“Oh yeah, right after you stop ogling over our hot tour guide."
Now Leo was slightly less sad and confused.
“Actually." Regulus pulled out his phone. "Our manager just texted and said he needs someone in the gift shop. Have fun." He left with a pat on Leos back.
Leo glared as he walked away, they didn't get texts from anyone for any assignment. Hence the walkie talkies on their belt loops.
“So, follow me and we can start the tour." +++
“This is our 235,000 gallon tank." Leo stood over top of the two story tall tank. In here we have our eagle rays, round stingrays, whiptail stingrays, hammerhead sharks, sandbar sharks, sand tiger sharks, hammerhead sharks. We also have two moray eels and an abundance of fish including shanks and groupers. And a personal favorite, Sheldon the green sea turtle.” Leo stood on the rusted grate with ease as if he didn’t care about the hammerhead only a few feet away from his toes.
“Um, this is great and all but can we not stand on the edge without a railing?” Logan stayed as far away as he could an the 2 feet wide walkway.
“You’re completely safe don’t worry.” Leo flashed a reassuring smile.
“Okay yeah but-”
“Stop being a baby, Lo.” Finn poked his side.
“I’m sorry I’m scared of falling into a 23 foot deep death cylinder filled with sharks.” Logan defended himself.
“Alright we can go officially start the tour.” Leo laughed. “But we do have to walk across the tank.”
“We what?” Logan asked.
“It’s okay. Just don’t look down.” He decided to risk a wink.
“Listen to the hot guide, babe.” Finn kissed Logan’s cheek. “I’ll hold your hand.”
“I love you, Harzy. But I do not trust you enough to not try and scare me.”
“I promi- no I don’t. Fine.” Finn whined when his plans were spoiled.
“Alright, let’s go.” Leo laughed.
They got across the walkway with only a few exaggerated wobbles to scare Logan. And a very grumpy Logan when Leo told him there was another way around the tank.
+++
“So here we have our bald eagle Maverick.” Leo walked up to the opened enclosure. “He’s five years old and has been here since he was two. He was found on the side of the road nearly starved after being hit by a car. If you look at his left wing you can see it juts out a little. That is due to the bones fusing together incorrectly and it makes him unable to ever fly again.” He recited the well known script.
“Poor baby” Finn stuck his bottom lip out.
Leo blinked away the urge to kiss the sad look off his face.
“If we walk up here you can see the aquariums prized possession.” Leo smiled. “Luna the albino Alligator.”
“Oh my god.” Finn hurried over to the glass.
“She looks like you, lover. Pale as fuck.” Logan teased.
“Luna is one of just 100 recorded albino alligators world wide.”
“World wide?” Logan asked in shock.
“Yeah. It’s an extremely rare genetic mutation and due to the inability to hide from predators they’re numbers are next to zero. Very soon they’ll be no more albino gators.”
“What happened to that alligators toes?” Logan pointed at the dark green alligator.
“That’s Gantur. He still hasn’t learn that Luna’s the leader.”
“She bit them off?” Logan’s eyes went wide.
“Don’t underestimate her. Ready to continue?”
+++
“This is my favorite exhibit.” Leo’s face lit up as they walked up to the touch pool.
“Touch anything as long as you use two fingers and don’t pick anything up.”
“Are those stingrays?” Finn pointed towards the end of the touch pool.
“Yeah. They’re still babies and their stingers have been trimmed. Their barbs are like thumbnails and can be clipped monthly without any harm.”
“What are those?”
Leo’s face lit up impossibly more.
“These are horseshoe crabs.” He held onto one of the dark greenish brown banjo shaped creature.
“They are also called living fossils due to the fact that they haven’t evolved at all since the dinosaurs, around 450 million years. It’s mostly due to the fact that they didn’t need anything added or taken away for survival. They were made perfectly. Now their tails.” He pointed to the long stick like end as it moved around with the help of what looked like scaley gills. “Most people look at it and think it will hurt. But it won’t hurt at all. They are extremely, extremely clumsy and use the long tail to flip themselves back over.”
“Sounds like you.” Finn kissed Logan.
“Rude.” Logan scoffed.
“Horseshoe crabs aren’t actually crabs at all. They’re actually more closely related to scorpions and spiders. Watch.” Leo smirked and flipped it over.
There were five pairs of claws moving around as the gills moved up and down like abs, causing the tail to move with it.
“Here-” Leo grabbed Logan’s hand, he tried hard to ignore the way his skin burned. “Touch it.”
“Oh no I’m okay to just look.”
“Come on, just touch it.” Leo begged. “Please just touch it.” He pouted.
“Oh my fuck you’re adorable.” Logan voiced Leo’s exact same thoughts from before.
“Here” he blushed and bit his lib to contain the smile. “Touch it.” He guided Logan’s hand down to the center of the legs, desperately trying to not think about how close they were. Logan’s t-shirt touching his blue polo shirt with his name stitched in the side. The way he could feel Logan’s breathing against his side, the way his leg was pressed between Logans le- stop it.
“Eww that feels weird” Logan’s laughed raised goosebumps on his arm.
“You’re touch his mouth.”
“Ew ew ew ew” Logan pulled his hand away quickly as Finn cackled.
“You asshole” Logan laughed as he pushed Leo lightly.
“Sorry, but it’s funny.” Leo laughed.
“You are now my second favorite person on earth.” Finn put a hand on Leo’s shoulder. “Oh my god I’m crying.” He wiped his eyes.
“Wouldn’t mind if he stayed our favorite.” Logan smiled.
Leo blushed and moved onto the regular view of the huge tank.
+++
“So how’d you get a job here?” Logan asked Leo as they walked around.
“I’ve lived on the island my whole life and started volunteering here when I was 13.” He explained. “I’m going to UNCW for marine biology. Are you two just here for vacation? Even though it’s April.”
“No. We’re actually moving down here. My grandparents owned the arcade on the boardwalk and left it to me once they passed.” Finn told him.
“Oh. I’m sorry about their passing.”
“It’s okay. Didn’t really know them at all.”
“Well I’ll hopefully see you around.”
“Maybe you don’t have to hope.”
Leo tilted his head in confusion.
“We were just wondering if you would want to show us around the island.” Logan told him. “We’ve only been here for a few days and this is the first place we’ve been to. Not even the beach.”
“Oh that’s nearly a sin.” Leo teased. “I’d love to show you guys around. I get off in an hour.”
“Perfect.” Finn said happily. “Do you want to drive over to our house and then switch cars or do you need to change?”
“That’ll work. There’s a locker room and since there’s next to no one here considering the time of year Evan will probably let me leave early.” Leo couldn’t hide his smile as they walked into the brightly lit gift shop.
Logan let out a loud gasp and ran over to the 6 foot long jellyfish stuffie. “I want it.”
“It’s tentacles are going to strangle you, love.” Finn shook his head.
“Kinky” Logan wiggled his eyebrows.
Finn scoffed as three other people in the quiet store laughed.
“Oh hi again Regulus.” Logan smiled at the black haired man who was sitting on the countertop beside the register tossing a brightly colored foam ball with turtles on it between his hands.
“Hey” He smiled back.
“What’d they need help with down here?” Finn looked around the empty room cluelessly.
“He didn’t help me?” The girl beside him raised an eyebrow. “Hi, Rue by the way.” She waved before going back to glaring at Regulus. “Did Evan tell you to help me?”
“No.” Reg smirked. “Just wanted to leave Leo alone with his crushes.”
“Reg” Leo pushed him.
“It’s mutual.” Finn said and Logan nodded.
“Okay. I’m gonna go ask Evan if I can get off early so I can show you a tour of the island and then get changed and I’ll be back down.” Leo changed the subject quickly.
“They’ll show you a tour of their bedroom and then get you off early.” Rue said quietly but not quiet enough. Leo shoved her hard as Logan, Finn, and Reg cackled.
+++
“So are we ready?” Leo walked back down in shorts and a UNCW t-shirt.
A cropped UNCW t-shirt.
“Uh- yeah. Yeah. Um, yeah.” Finn stuttered failing to make it look like he wasn’t staring at Leo’s tan abs.
Finn on the other hand had no shame. His eyes raked his entire body as his mouth went dry.
“Alright. I’ll follow you guys?”
“Huh? Oh yeah.” Logan nodded.
“Get it Knut.” Reg cupped his hands over his mouth and shouted as they left the gift shop and headed outside to the 100 degree weather.

Caleo Uni AU: Things We Lost In the Fire ch 1
Summary: Calypso starts studying at a new university, but to her annoyance her new flatmate is a loud mouthed mechanic who also likes to sneak his dog in whenever. But as she learns to know him better, she realizes they might have more in common than what she first thought. Eventually, even the darkest secrets come out...
A/N: So, here it is! My second multichapter fic! I've been reading a lot of Caleo fics on ffn and it occurred to me that there are too few au:s of these two, and somehow this idea just started forming in my head. A huge shoutout to @criis55 for helping me brainstorm and beta this fic, you have definitely played a BIG role in that ♥
You should expect flatmates Caleo who first don't exactly like each other (much like in canon), but they learn to respect and love each other with time. The first chapters are gonna be rather light but things will get darker as the story progresses.
I currently have 7 chapters finished for this fic, with a lot more to come, so for a time being I can promise weekly updates. If I have to change that in the future, I will let you guys know! But now, enjoy, and please, please, let me know what you think because I feel it's especially important to keep me motivated with a multichapter fic!
Words: 1786
genre: this chapter is pretty ‘general’ (fluff and hurt/comfort in the future)
warnings: none (in this ch)

‘Finally. My own home.’
Calypso exhaled sharply as she put her suitcase down. She took in her surroundings; it was a small student flat for two with two bedrooms and a shared living room/kitchen and bathroom, but to her that small, simple place meant freedom. For too many years she had struggled to get freed from her parents’ strict supervision, and now she had finally done it. A brand new town, a new place to live, new university, new flatma…
“Don’t worry amigo, I’ll be right back!” she heard a voice say from the room that had already been claimed. Before she had time to react, a young man with curly black hair, elfish ears, and… no shirt came into view. Before she turned her eyes away, she couldn’t help but notice that even though the boy was short (not much taller than her despite her being only a bit over 160 cm) and kind of scrawny, his arms looked strong, like he had done a lot of heavy lifting. She didn’t have a lot of time to dwell on these facts, though, before he acknowledged her presence:
“Wh-whoa, hi! Sorry, I wasn’t expecting anyone to be here!”
He folded his arms over his chest, trying to cover his torso a bit with his arms, a dirty shirt bundled in one of his hands, but other than that he seemed fairly unbothered by his current outfit (or lack thereof).
“Uh, yeah, I just came in,” Calypso muttered, looking down. “I suppose you’re my new flatmate.”
“Oh, right! I am! I was wondering when someone would move in. I’m Leo. Leo Valdez.” The boy grinned widely as he extended his free hand for her to shake, which made her even more flustered, but she still took it.
“You can call me Calypso,” she said with as calm voice as she could manage, forcing her eyes to focus her on his face and pulling her hand back.
“That’s… an unusual name. It’s like the music style!” he answered, tapping his forehead with his fingers as he tried to remember something. “Or… that nymph or whatever she was in the Greek mythology…”
“Yeah, I’ve been hearing that a lot.” Calypso rolled her eyes, calming down thanks to a familiar topic. “Ironically, I’m a history major and I’ve been studying the Greek mythology a lot, so I’m definitely aware of that myth. As a matter of fact, I’ve always found her a pretty relatable character. She was simply a victim of circumstances…”
Leo seemed a bit taken aback by her challenging tone, not daring to ask what she meant by her last comment.
“I haven’t really thought about it that much,” he shrugged. “Always been more interested in the mechanical side of things.”
“I figured as much,” she said, the annoyance winning in her and making her take a judging eye on his form, now noticing for example plenty of scars (almost like healed burn marks?) and oil smudges from something he had been fixing on his bare skin. “How do you know about that story anyway?” she asked out of curiosity. From her experience, not many boys of her age immediately drew the connection between her name and the Greek mythology.
“My old baby sitter was loca about that stuff. Instead of telling me about Goldilocks and three bears, she told me bedtime stories about Odysseus,” Leo answered. Calypso was slightly disappointed. Of course he had had someone else tell that story to him instead of him being genuinely interested…
“Right. Makes sense,” she said.
Ignoring Calypso’s tone, Leo decided to try another topic: “I think I hear a hint of accent in your voice. Not from here?”
“No. I’m originally from Greece, if you must know,” Calypso answered coolly.
“Hey, what’s with that tone?” Leo had finally had enough, and he narrowed his eyes. Calypso noticed “I only asked because I’m part Mexican so I’m bilingual too. Spanish is my first language.” “I see. And about my tone, you must be overthinking it,” Calypso claimed, but there was still an edge in her voice that Leo couldn’t ignore.
“What’s the matter with… ugh. Never mind.” He raised his arms in defeat. “I tell you what. I have things to do now, but when you’re ready to talk about the rules of this household or whatever, you can find me in my room.” He opened the bathroom door, dropped the dirty shirt into a laundry basket and grabbed a clean one before pulling it on. Then he disappeared into his room as fast as he had appeared from there.
When Calypso was alone, she sighed, overwhelmed by the meeting. She hadn’t meant to be so rude but something about that Leo guy irked her (maybe it was the way he talked, the kind of cocky attitude or the fire in his eyes that told her he was ready for a challenge) and… if she was honest, she had wished her new roommate was a girl instead. Back when she still had lived at home, she had been in a couple of relationships where things had gone very wrong, yet she also had an unfortunate habit of getting crushes rather easily… and then this guy had shown up that way, not even minding that he was shirtless in the company of a girl he didn’t know.
Trying to shake the image out of her head, she finally opened the door to her new room and moved her luggage there. There was already a bed there, along with an empty bookshelf and a closet for the clothes. However, the previous user of the room had informed the caretakers that the desk that belonged to the room was in a bad shape and they hadn’t brought a new one yet so Calypso had volunteered to bring her own. She would probably have to ask Leo to help her carry it, because it wasn’t like she knew a lot of other people here yet, and he had seemed pretty strong…
Groaning at herself (‘you will NOT get a crush on a new flatmate. Especially not someone so annoying’), Calypso put her clothes from the suitcase into the closet and then braced herself to meet Leo again. After taking a deep breath, she knocked on his door and waited for it to open. Again, the boy told someone ‘wait there’ before he opened the door, this time with a slight frown on his face.
“Yes?” he asked.
Twitching her hands, Calypso stammered: “Umm… Can we forget about the earlier for a bit? I… I should carry my desk from my car to my room but obviously I can’t do it on my own and I came here alone so… I kinda need help with that. Can you help me?”
Leo’s expression softened, a crooked smile spreading on his face instead.
“Oh! Sure, I’ll help.”
“Thanks. Do you have time now?”
“Yep, I was just hanging out with…” he hesitated, “um, with a certain mechanical project I’m building. Let’s go then.”
“You were talking to your project?” Calypso asked with disbelief as the new flatmates were walking towards her car.
“You heard that?” Leo asked, looking a bit embarrassed. “Well, some people talk to flowers, how is that any different?” he replied defensively.
“Well, for one, flowers are actually alive,” Calypso, who loved gardening and had brought several plants with her to the new apartment as well, stated.
“You wouldn’t believe how alive some machines can feel…” Leo muttered, more to himself than to her. But then they were already at Calypso’s car so they dropped the topic as they tried to decide how they were going to carry the desk inside.
The carrying part went fine, mostly in silence. The desk wasn’t too heavy or wide so they got it into their flat’s common area without issues. But as Leo waited while Calypso went back to get more of her things inside, the door to his room (that he had left unlocked for a moment) suddenly swung open and he had no time to react to what was about to happen.
“Festus! No!”
A huge German shepherd appeared, very excited to get out of his prison and running and jumping back and forth in the space that had just opened up for him. Not realizing his own weight, he jumped on Calypso’s desk to get Leo’s full attention. The flimsy desk couldn’t handle the impact, the top board splitting into two pieces, and in the process the dog’s tail also whipped the sole flower resting on the desk on the ground, so when Calypso returned back into the room she found quite a chaos in front of her.
“What… happened?” was all she could say, her hand resting on the left side of her chest near her heart. Then she spotted the dog, who looked kind of ashamed if that was possible, and quickly turned to his owner with fiery eyes.
“Explain.”
Usually Leo would have made a joke in a situation like this, but Calypso looked way too scary for him to attempt that. “I’m sorry… I… tried to keep him inside my room but somehow he escaped and…”
“You’re not even supposed to have pets here!” Calypso shouted.
“He’s just visiting for a couple of days! I didn’t know you were coming, I would have asked you if you’re allergic if I had…”
“I’m not! But that’s not the point! The point is that your dog broke the only piece of furniture that I brought here and also ruined my favorite flower that I’ve been growing for years!” She pointed at the shattered flowerpot on the ground.
“I can fix the top of the desk!” Leo offered quickly. “That’s an easy job, I just get a new board and…”
“Right now I just want you out of my sight so I can clean this,” Calypso growled, gesturing towards the mess on the floor. “And make sure that thing won’t go near my things again.”
“Are you telling me to leave my own place?” It was Leo’s turn to get mad. “I have the same right to be here as you do!”
“I just meant that stay out of my way while I take care of this. Just… go to your room or something,” she said defiantly.
“C’mon, Festus,” Leo told his dog, taking his harness from his room. “Let’s go for a walk. Miss Sunshine clearly doesn’t want our help so why bother.”
When the two were gone, Calypso sat down on the couch in the common room and buried her head into her hands. This was not how she had wanted her first day in her new place to go.

Well This Can’t Be Good
Camp Half Blood Genderbend Chapter 1
Read on A03
Read on FFnet
In which the demigods of Camp Half Blood have their genders changed. And the Hunters of Artemis. Did I mention they're mad at Dionysus? Remember when everyone was safe and alive and happily living at Camp Half Blood after Heroes of Olympus with Leo and Solangelo? Nope, I don't either.

*Annabeth*
Annabeth woke up to the sound of screaming.
She raced out to the Athena Cabin's porch, ignoring the sick feeling in her stomach. After a second of searching for the culprit of the screaming, she wasn't surprised to find that the Aphrodite cabin was running around, as fast as their Gucci high heels could take them.
What she was surprised with, though, was that the rest of the camp was running around in the fray.
Annabeth hurried back inside, absentmindedly stepping over one of her brothers who was asleep on the ground and grabbed some of her clothes to change before dealing with this mess. As she closed the door she finally took a look at herself through the mirror.
Wait.
Her hand floated up to where her hair used to be. She scanned over herself in the mirror.
Hades...
She quickly changed and bolted into the main cabin. "Uh... Anyone else feeling different?" She called.
"ANNABETH!" Her youngest brother, Riley, screamed. "I'M A GIRL!"
The ten-year-old most certainly was. His usually short blonde hair was now styled into a bob, and he had a more feminine shape to his frame. She looked over the rest of her siblings, noticing Hannah, Riley's twin, was now male, her long hair gone.
She cursed as Malcolm walked over, looking uncomfortable. "Any ideas?"
He shook his head then paused. He had seemed to come to the same conclusion as she had.
"Dionysus... last night." She groaned.
"He is the Greek god of gender." He nodded.
Annabeth sighed as she ran her hands over her face and pushed the new hair covering her forehead out of her eyes. "C'mon. We gotta tell Chiron."
--
Seconds later, a certain son of Poseidon swung open the door to the Athena cabin the same time she was pulling it open.
"Annabeth." He sighed, slipping his fingers through hers as she pulled him and Malcolm along to find Chiron.
"So... what happened?" He inquired, trusting she would have the answer at hand.
She didn't.
"I- I don't really know." She blinked. "The gods' powers are hard to understand. But think about it; Dionysus is the god of gender."
He whistled lowly. "Last night." He guessed.
"Yyyep." Annabeth pulled a face.
They stopped as Chiron cantred up to them.
"Annabeth?" He guessed.
"Yes. We think our genders have-"
"Changed." Their teacher finished gravely. "I suspected that much."
Percy raised his free hand tentatively, looking around at the panicked state of the camp. "Just wanted to let you know; the Aphrodite cabin is having a full-on panic attack. Drew fainted, but at least she is out for the count. On the other hand, Piper is probably using a bit too much charmspeak."
"Got it." She stressed, then turned back to Chiron. "We were just coming to find you. Counsellor meeting?"
"Yes. Percy, can you run and find Piper? I hate to pull her away from her cabin and their... panicked state, but we'll need her charmspeak to calm down the rest of the camp if Drew is unconscious.  I'm worried that we won't be able to calm everyone down without her. Malcolm, Annabeth; go find the cabin counsellors."
"Already on it. Malcolm; I'll do one to twelve; you get everyone else."
Percy and Malcolm ran off ungracefully to find their respective peers.
Annabeth turned to him and sighed. "And to think we only had nine days until school was back in and no drama."
Chiron chuckled sourly as she ran off to find the remaining eight head counsellors of the Olympian gods.
--
An hour later, the demigod head counsellors of each cabin had communed in the Big House rec room. Ten minutes later, Dionysus had communicated (through his sons, of course, because he wouldn't speak to anyone else) to the demigods the idea that they might have to get used to their new bodies.
Clovis even woke up from his chair in the corner when Nico screeched, "HOW LONG?!"
He was already sulking in a corner, Will rubbing his forehead as he tried to coax his boyfriend out of the shadows.
"Calm. Down. Nico!" Will placed a hand on his boyfriend's shoulder. "It might actually be interesting!"
"And wait until Hazel finds out you're a girl!" Piper finished. Nico and Will glared at her simultaneously as she and Leo laughed. "She might even want to come over and stay a bit."
Nico's hair was even longer than before. Annabeth stifled a laugh at the thought that Piper purely wanted to braid Nico's hair, now that she had more to work with. Even Annabeth rarely escaped that.
Nico just groaned and buried his face in his hands.
Dionysus' son chuckled sourly. "Well, at least we didn't change."
Leo laughed. "What do you mean? You're missing out!" He cackled as he threw his head back and set his mass of curly hair on fire. Annabeth didn't like how this was going. He was definitely enjoying this way too much.
"Well!" Annabeth directed a soft glare at Leo which made him sit up and pat the flames out of his smouldering hair. "I guess we just need to go back to our cabins and..." she blinked. "Well, any questions before that?"
Samantha from Hebe raised her hand and didn't wait before she called out; "Should we change our names? You know, so they're similar but respective genders?"
Annabeth considered this. "No. That would be too confusing. Keep your names."
"Pronouns?" Someone under the table asked.
Annabeth grimaced. She knew this would be difficult to explain. "Well... let people know what pronouns you go by. We can get wrist ties in pink, blue and green, maybe. I know the pink-blue idea is sexist but it'll be the easiest way to silently communicate the pronouns across. If someone uses the wrong ones, just correct them, please."
"How will we get different clothes?"
"I guess we could trade clothes with our siblings, or close friends," Miranda Gardener shrugged, "Or the camp store. How about getting the camp store to give every camper two outfits? That should be enough if everyone else swaps, or you can just wear the clothes you have now."
"Perfect, Miranda," Annabeth nodded. "No more questions?" She inquired, looking around the room. When nobody spoke, she continued, "Well... let's just be grateful that the Hunters left last night. During the night... oh no." She groaned. "Does anyone have a drachma?"
Percy passed her one, and as she was about to throw it into the fountain on the wall, a perfectly timed Iris Message came through from Thalia.
There was almost as much screaming there as there was at camp this morning. Thalia stood in the front of it all, looking almost unchanged.
"Annabeth!? Explain."
--
*Piper*
The Aphrodite Cabin was in shock. Piper needed all of her influence over her siblings and some other panicking campers. Fortunately or not, Drew was still unconscious.
"PIPER!" Dianne screeched, "I have nothing to wear, my hear is completely ruined, and I can't wear makeup, because I AM A BOY!"
Piper sighed and held out her hand in a 'stop' motion.  "Dianne, we all have problems with this. Take a deep breath, exhale, inhale, calm down." She didn't even notice she was using charmspeak until the rest of the cabin seemed to stop and breathe a louder.
"Listen, everyone. No screaming, please. And Lacy, can you write this down for Drew? I really don't want to explain this to her." Piper breathed a long sigh of relief as Lacy, the cabins resident secretary, nodded and grabbed a notepad from the chest at the bottom of her bunk.
"This curse has been given until the next Summer Solstice. That's in about nine months time."
She took a sharp breath, expecting Drew to raise up from the dead, or someone to override her charmspeaking powers. Thankfully, nobody did and Drew remained unconscious.
"Dionysus issued the curse, so there's really no way to reverse it. We're not going to change our names, but you can change your pronouns if you so wish,  and we'll have bracelets or anklets made with your pronouns written on it if you want it. You're getting a free outfit from the camp store, you could swap clothes with your siblings, and you can obviously fund your own shopping antics if you choose to buy more," But knowing her siblings, Piper muttered, "Which you can sell or donate or something at Summer Solstice."
She tried to remember what else Annabeth and Dionysus' son had mentions regarding this situation.
"Oh yeah. Also, because Dionysus is ever so merciful, the mist will change you back to your normal selves outside camp borders, or really when you aren't near any mythological beings. So you won't have to be worried about your school, or parents." Piper grimaced, hoping none of her siblings' parents or their siblings could see through the mist. But Aphrodite wasn't really one for telling her lovers about the whole 'the Greek gods are alive and thriving' thing.
She rolled her eyes, remembering that Annabeth mentioned quietly to her afterwards that the real reason Dionysus had more control over the mist inside the camps barrier and he was pretty powerless in the outside world. She wasn't about to mention this to her siblings though.
"The Hunters of Artemis are going to be especially annoyed, so if they come over in the next three quarters of the year please try not to pick any fights with them. Any more questions?"
Nobody called out, and Lacy scribbled on her notepad for a second more before adding a dot to the end of her sentence and nodded, "Is Artemis male now?"
Piper shook her head. "Dionysus doesn't have that sort of power over another god, especially another one more powerful than he is, and Artemis can always change her form anyway."
Nobody else called out, so Piper took that thankfully as no more questions for her to answer with her limited knowledge of the situation.
"Great. Well, it's time for breakfast. Quickly, get changed and we'll go. We still have the next nine and a half months to survive and to figure this out."
