it means purity/cleanliness in arabic!! its basically a tenet of islamic faith, there's definitely a hadith or two about how cleanliness - both physical and spiritual - is a major part of having faith and being a muslim so like. there is a lot of emphasis on it

#there's a lot to it but essentially yeah.#also physical cleanliness feeds into the spiritual (cannot perform certain acts of worship when 'unclean')#and sometimes performing wudhu isnt enough to get rid of it - ghusl is for the more major impurities #and is basically a full body wash . w very extensive steps lol . and thats recommended every friday as well as for certain days like eid etc #faera's
