I just realized this making that last post but it's fucking wild that Louis was so motivated and moved by remembering the past accurately and yet the final betrayal was revealed to be Armand holding his memories hostage in a flimsy house of cards. All that he has left of his daughter is his own fading memories and now he finds out his love of the past 70+ years has been hiding memories from him and lying about the ones he let him keep. Even if the ones he touched were unrelated to her, it's still gotta sting like he killed her a second time. Man.
