i'm so accustomed to like. idk talking with disabled people about their disabilities i guess. that when i was talking with my mom's friend the other day and she told me she had broken both of her arms i never thought to ask how. we talked about her difficult experience with her first doctor, we talked about pt, we talked about her recovery process and how incredibly unique bone pain is, but the circumstances of her injuries? no idea. not my business. it doesn't matter. if she wants to tell me she can tell me. which is a mentality that makes sense for talking with someone you've just met who's in a wheelchair. but in this context it's a real silly-billy moment lmao. that's my bad.
