just a note to say that if you follow me and didn't get a candygram from me, please know that my recipient list ended up being way too long to reasonably create valentine manips for! i had to give myself a cutoff point before i permanently disfigured my index finger from pressing against the trackpad too much and broke too many bloodvessels in my eyes from staring at the screen so long, and that cutoff number was "50" -- but then i went and made a bunch more anyway bc the thought of leaving any of you out was honestly not a happy thought!

i almost didn't participate *at all* in this event because—though i had no doubt that the spirit was in the right place—it seemed like the nature of this sort of event couldn't help creating certain complex social scenarios that could result in hurt feelings, which i really didn't want to be involved with. i shy away from some of the more convoluted social dynamics of fandom as much as possible, but for all my reticence please know that i still have a lot of love for everyone here, be they creators or fellow fans.
