I can't reblog the metal subgenres poll bc I wouldn't be able to resist the urge to editorialize in the tags about the bands chosen to represent the specific subgenres and I refuse to be that annoying to a stranger

#also maybe I'm out of touch but i can't take seriously the fact that nu metal is winning #(I like nu metal shut up)#but like. within current metal spaces it's just not a very relevant genre (despite a handful of revival bands coming up rn)#so i can only conclude that people who don't engage with the broader genre are reading the poll and clicking on it #bc it's the most accessible and the example bands are like linkin park and deftones #and HERE'S where i want to start editorializing so I WON'T. POST OVER.
