She enjoys meeting new people and getting to know them even if it's for a little bit. Since she never knows when a brief new friend might be able to help her later on, with something. So she is very open to the possibility of making acquaintances with a variety of people. She also enjoys just getting to know people and listening to their stories when they feel like telling her. It’s a good way to gleam new things from people without them actually knowing that she’s kind of looking for information. But she doesn’t do it in a way to just use people, she just tends to ask a lot of questions when she finds someone interesting. She likes to learn new things so she might politely grill people to talk more so she can listen. 

A lot of the time Laelia can sit back and go with the flow of things, but that doesn't mean that things don't get under her skin. She might be ok with suddenly changing plans; but she can feel annoyed about it. She is a very expressive person so you can always get a gauge of how she's feeling by looking at her face. She doesn't try to hide her feelings very often from people, unless she feels like she has a reason why she needs to. Most of the time if she's not showing an emotion though it's because she's focused on listening to what's going on. She is a normally talkative person, but she knows that there are times when just being quiet and listening helps a lot. So it helps her get more of a perspective is she listens to everyone's opinions before giving her own.

At times Laelia has a good amount of patience when it comes to people getting on her nerves. For the most part she can ignore them for a while and try not to give them a reaction.  Even if her first reaction is to snap at them and possibly get violent she always tries to hold herself in check. As she doesn't want to give into her natural reaction as she doesn't like to make a situation worse by starting a fight. But if someone does cross the line of how much restraint she is using, that is when she will resort to fighting the person. She can have a spiteful streak to her if someone rubs her the wrong way and she really deeply does not like them. She will make back handed comments or do things without admitting it was her; but people who know her well can tell when she’s done something.

Laelia is the type of person to try and find the positive side in things when things aren’t going to so well. But she also knows when to give people space when they don’t want to hear what she has to say, but she still tends to remain calm and looking at the bright side of things. She can be playful with people that she feels that she knows pretty well or feel comfortable around, though she tries to find what people’s level of comfort with her antics. If someone doesn’t like being teased a lot she will tone it down when she’s around them. But if someone doesn’t mind then she will go hard at them, but never maliciously. She has a good sense of humor thought and can take jokes in stride or some heavy teasing from people. She might react but she doesn't take it personal when it does happen, and rolls with the punches.

The same thing goes for how affectionate she is with people. Normally she has no qualms about showing physical affection to people. She will touch someone's shoulder, lean against their back, play with their hair, nudge them with her shoulder. But if she sees that being touched too much bothers them a lot she will resist the urge to touch them, but she does like to touch people to show them that she feels close and comfortable with them. This is a main way she conveys  her feelings to people, even if she doesn't say something. If she's willing to touch you without any provoking it means that she considers you close. If she avoids doing any of those things she either doesn't like you at all or doesn't feel a connection with that person.

Although Laelia doesn't mind letting people see her in a good mood or when she's angry, the one emotion she has trouble letting people see from her is sadness. She feels like letting people see her when she's sad brings them down and in a way bothers them. So she will try to hide when she's feeling sad or upset. Usually playing it off like she's fine, or saying that she wants to take a walk, or uses the excuse of needing to get something to excuse herself from the area. Usually when she is feeling sad she'll take said walk usually with no destination in mind as she just needs the fresh air to try and calm herself down and clear her mind. If she does let herself cry it's going to be in a place that's the farthest away from people or where she can't be bothered. She's a very silent crier and tries not to make any noise when she does, a big tip off of when she's going to is she pinches the bridge of her nose a lot as if her eyes are giving her trouble. But that's her trying to keep her tears from coming out.

Growing up with little to no family makes Laelia very loyal to people. Once she feels like someone is close to her she will stand behind them for anything. Even if they want to do something that's a little dodgy and not entirely legal. If it doesn't cause anyone to die Laelia would assist with whatever it was. Though before doing anything Laelia will ask that person their reason why they want to do a shady thing, but she doesn't try to change their mind if she doesn't deem it dangerous. She just wants to know their reason behind their actions, and once she knows that she can fully commit herself to helping them. It might seem like she easily trusts people, but she actually doesn't let people in so much at first. She will try testing some boundaries to see if she can rely on them or not. Once she feels like they are someone she can depend on that's when she slowly lets them in and trust them with things and offer information she has or help with whatever they're doing without asking for anything in return.

Laelia likes to fight, no matter what or who it is. If she gets the change to fight something she will always take it. She generally tries to size up her opponent before she actually gets into a fight with them as she doesn't like to pick fights where she can't fight on an even footing. Even if she fights with someone bigger than her she can always judge if she'l be able to beat them even if she has to wear them down to do it. She might be a little reckless when it comes to fights, but she's not completely stupid. If she knows she might not win a fight she'll either avoid it if she can or come up with another plan to deal with them. She's also not above asking for help when it comes to fights, if she needs back up she'll immediately ask people she trusts to have her back when it comes to kicking ass.

When Laelia's worried about something it's easy to tell, either by her face or her behavior.  She's not good at staying still when she's worried, she'll usually start off with taping her foot rapidly on the ground. If her anxious feeling gets stronger she won't be able to sit still and  and will need to walk around. She feels to wired if she tries to force herself to sit so  walking around helps her feel like she's doing something, even if she's just pacing around an area. She tries to find things to distract herself from her thoughts so she doesn't end up thinking herself in circles. She'll play with her phone, or if there's something interesting near by she'll go inspect it or kind of explore the area. Since if there's nothing she can do about the situation she'll kind of retreat into her head and stay there until she can do something. But that's not always a good thing as she can make herself more worried that she was to begin with. She has been know to mutter to herself and have small conversations with herself as she's worrying to try and help her voice her worries to make her feel better. Though some people have thought it made her weird, but she doesn't care as she doesn't notice.

Laelia in love is a rare side of her as she doesn't really let herself fall in love. She has had crushes in the past. But she wouldn't say they were strong enough feelings to be called love. When she does feel love whoever she feels that strongly about she'll pay attention to them closely. She'll keep it low key and not bring too much attention to herself, but she'll watch them. Taking note of things that they do or if they seem to like something. That way she can use it to talk to them and learn more about them. Even though she's confident about talking to people if she has feelings for someone she wouldn't want to come on strong to them so she would talk to them but keep just a slight distance at first. Once she gets to know them a little more she talks to them more in her normal amount she would use for a friend, but would constantly be aware of trying not to be too over the top. Especially if they don't know how she feels. If the person she loves knows about her feelings then she lets herself go and is completely herself, affection and all. She would also let herself relax a lot more and let whatever affectionate actions she makes to be genuine and not planned at all. She's not the type of person to always be overly affectionate with the person she loves. She just wants to be with them and enjoy their company even if they're not talking and just sitting together. If she wants to talk she will, the same goes for wanting to do something with them. She'll let them know by asking. Whether or not if her feelings are known she would still try to do small things for that person to make sure they're alright. She'd buy them their favorite snack from time to time and just hand it to them with a "here", and not explain herself. If in a fight she would also focus on their well being and not be afraid to throw herself in to the fight to offer back up or draw the fire towards herself as a distraction. She would also volunteer to care for them or help them in any other ways that were needed.

Being in the water makes her feel so relaxed and she enjoys looking at things from underwater. Sometimes she will also just let herself float on the surface of the water and enjoy the feeling.
