my flight rising unpopular opinion is that I don't think staff should re-release old fest items like the sprites. I don't care if adding more of them into circulation would make the game more fair for newer players. in fact I think that a 'holy grail'-type super rare item that serves as a fun expensive long-term goal to a lot of people suddenly becoming widely available would be BORINNGGG.

also I don't think it would actually make the game 'more fair' because it's not like something important is being gatekept here. festival sprites offer no gameplay benefit there isn't an achievement for obtaining them and you can have them logged in your bestiary by awakening them via fiona. the only difference between a light sprite and a damn kelp tender is that it displays a different png.

tldr sprites aren't even that cool the dragon economy is fooling you + your gamer completionist instinct is fooling you + I actually think pet sites having limited items is cool and fun sometimes
