I'm overthrowing shit again so here goes. I feel iffy af about romancing Lorcan. No hate to people who want to do his route.. I low-key clocked it myself but the more i think about it the more i get sketched out. So personal preference no hate all that jazz.

like he is basically obsessed with MCs dead sister who he was dating and she was a horrible bitch. I've never had writing who made me dislike a person more in my life so quickly. You are that good.

So all these dynamics come into play. MC being a replacement in the eyes of others, all that stupid guilty feelings of betrayal he's gonna have.. my MC hopefully wouldn't because his sister sucked and he owes he absolutely fucking nothingness. So it's angsty as hell. I know I'm rambling stay with me . Sorry.

But my constant thought is just Orla was a bully. Everyone knew that. Her cruelty I can't speak on yet and only you would know but I imagine she was up there with the worst of them. Especially from MCs initial coming home scene where the option to feel fear when walking past her room stuck with me. So did Lorcan partake in her cruelty? Or did he know about it and just watched? Just pretended it wasn't happening? Bullying by association is just as bad to me.

And I know alot of people in this IF are assholes family especially except Sally for not stopping it but for Lorcan approach MC the way he did by cornering them basically knowing what he knew and them just coming back home to be interrogated by them about a whole BULLY shows so little fucking care it's annoying to me.

As someone who had an Orla in her life I just can't seperate them if that's the case. If he did know what and how she was to our MC. That party scene pisses me off because how fucking dare he! And if he was a participant in her torture of MC then to me him and just stood around him and Orla are basically one and the same and that just deads his route for me entirely. I wouldn't be able to believe in his care for MC at all because he would lack decent compassion for me. Atleast Imre and Nia vocalize their displeasure with how Orla was romancing someone that will then tell you they love you.. who also loved someone who practically made your life a living hell makes me feel itchy.

Again no hate on the Lorcan romancer or you just my rambling because this story is burning through my brain.

That’s why I made sure there were three ROs and that they were all different and had different interactions with mc before the beginning of the story so that you can feel free to chose who you want. I do see why some people wouldn’t want to date him, understandable.

Now the thing with Orla is that even though she knew Lorcan didn’t like mc she kept the real abusive stuff in private. Like with Lorcan she would at most call mc names cruel names but that’s as far as it went in front of him. The real verbal abuse happened in the house when orla would catch mc alone. And it all has to do with that self image, a perfect girl isn’t never makes a spectacle out of herself in public, a perfect girl never shows how their sibling someone so insignificant (in her eyes) could get under her, THE orla crown’s skin.

The most Orla ever did in public was sometimes shoulder mc out of the way at school or tell her friends when mc wasn’t there how much of a freak they were. And that’s typical of abusers isn’t it? They show a better image to the world and then show you who they are when the door is closed.

If she had been worse in front of Lorcan I don’t know what his reaction would be because he doesn’t know it and that will probably be something that haunts if you chose his route or not

3rd Person Pov

Bucky walked back into the Med-Bay after his little fight with Tony and sat down next to Y/n's bed, she was sleeping peacefully with a light smile on her face.

Bucky didn't know how she did it, nobody did, she was always so happy, so forgiving. Nobody deserved her, she was to kind for this world.

The door to the Med-Bay opened and Fury quickly walked in. Y/n was one of the only people that broke through Fury's hard mean shell and he also let her call him Nick.

"What happened?" Nick asked as he sat down next to Bucky and he shook his head, "Tony forgot to pick her up at school and she had to walked home in the rain before I found her and got her back here, Bruce also told us she has the flu." Bucky explained and Fury practically growled before her stood up and walked out of the room.

'Ooh, Tony's gettin' an ear full' Bucky thought before he grabbed Y/n's hand and just looked at her.

The next morning Y/n woke up and saw Bucky asleep next to her, "Bucky." she whispered and Bucky jolted awake.

He quickly looked over and saw Y/n looking at him, he smiled softly "Are you okay Doll?" Bucky asked and Y/n nodded, "Just a little tired, and hungry." (Man I am hungry in real life, bruh I need food)

"Okay, let me get you some food." Bucky said while standing up and Y/n quickly stopped him, "No! I can do it, don't waste your time on me." Y/n said before Bucky quickly turned around and walked back over.

"Hey hey, no don't do that, don't let Tony get in that pretty head of yours." he grabbed her head in his hands and continued "Your perfect, I know that Tony doesn't tell you that but you are, okay Doll?" Bucky looked at Y/n while she had tears in here eyes.

No one had ever seen Y/n this sad, Tony broke her.

One tear slipped past Y/n's eye and Bucky cleared it away, "Save your tears for something worth it." Bucky said and Y/n smiled and leaned into Bucky's touch.

He placed a kiss it her forehead "Now let me help you." he said and Y/n nodded and Bucky smiled before standing up and walking out of the room.

Bucky walked into the kitchen and started making Y/n food and Tony walked out of his lab with a black eye and bruised cheek, Bucky laughed lightly and Tony sat down.

"What happened to you?" Bucky asked while stirring the soup he was making, "Fury." that's all Tony had to say, "So that's what Fury did after he stomped out of the Med-Bay." Bucky said like it was nothing.

"Wait you knew this was going to happen?"

"No, I just told him what you did because he asked." Bucky said and Tony's head snapped up.

"You told him!?"

"Yes, because he asked and you deserved it, you're making Y/n question herself so I think you deserve it." Bucky said and Tony looked at him, "I'm what."

"Yeah, you are doing that now, making the happiest girl in the world sad, congrats Stark you broke the her." Bucky said before grabbing the food he made and walking out of the kitchen and back to Y/n.

"I made you some soup." Bucky said as he walked into the room Y/n sat up and he placed the soup in Y/n's lap.

"It was my moms recipe." Bucky said with a sweet smile on his face, Y/n tasted the soup, "Oh my god, this is amazing, thank you Bucky." Y/n said with her sweet smiled and Bucky smiled.

This felt amazing, this was Bucky's first time making it since Hydra got him, the last time he made it was for his mother. He thought the first person he'd make it for again was for the woman he loved and cared deeply about.

Y/n finished some finished “Thank you Buck.” she said and Bucky smiled and took the bowl and placed it on the table next to her and then sat down next to Y/n.

Y/n quickly hugged Bucky and he hugged her back, and then there was a knock at the door, both turned their heads and saw Tony standing at the door with a sad look on his face.

“It’s okay Buck. Can I talk to him?” Y/n asked and Bucky sighed, nodded his head, and stood up and walked out of the room.

Y/n motioned Tony over, and he sat down next to her, “I don’t know where to start.” he said and Y/n smiled and grabbed his hand smiled.

“God I’m so sorry honey, I know I’m a horrible father. When Bucky walked into the kitchen and told me I-I broke your happiness, he said that keep crying. And god I finally knew what I was doing wrong, god I’m so sorry honey so sorry.” Tony said with tears streaming down his face.

Y/n quickly hugged him, “It’s okay, really it’s okay, I know what you did was horrible but please spend time with me.” Y/n said and Tony quickly nodded his head, “When you get out of here, I’ll take you to the movies for real this time.” Tony said and Y/n nodded with a smile.

Tony stayed talking to Y/n about her and his interests and what they have in common turns out they have a lot.

There was a knock on the door and it opened, “Hey Buck.” Y/n said with a happy smile on her face, “May I come in?” he asked and Y/n nodded, Tony stood up, “I’ll see you later hon.” Tony before he kissed his daughters head and walked out of the room.

Bucky sat down next to Y/n, “How’d that go?” he asked and Y/n smiled widely “He apologized.” Y/n said and Bucky smiled happily before quickly hugging Y/n.

They both pulled away but didn’t fully pull away Bucky starred into Y/n’s eyes Y/n grabbed hold of Bucky and kissed him…

can i say a sort of pointless rambly thing i was thinking about that i can't put under the cut bc i'm on mobile?

jk, i'm not actually asking. ramble below, not edited for clarity. the following is completely unclear and i will not fix it:

i've been thinking about how part of the reason i'm so chill about caryl is bc growing up as a queer woc 99% of my main ships were like, never gonna fucking happen bc they literally couldn't. it was like, "omg, they gazed at each other from across the room, let's analyze the homosexual subtext of this one scene for the next fifty years, that's not necessarily hyperbole." i've watched all my ships fuck other ppl/have other love interests, and i knew that my thing was never gonna be canon, so to see like, one thing being like, "one half of my ship fucked another person several years ago while pining for the other half of my ship," i'm like...#nice, bc that can and likely will be used as a plot point to get them together later on, whereas in other situations i've been in i just kinda had to deal with it. so my impulse when i see ppl losing their shit is to be like

and to be slightly annoyed, tbh, bc the ship is still on track to be canon, and it's like, literally two white heterosexuals, they're prime candidates for juicy angsty pining that actually gets a resolution.

but!

that being said, i recognize that that attitude isn't necessarily fair. for one thing, i'm not the only queer woc (or some variation thereof) in this fandom, and some ppl's impulse might be exasperation instead, bc like, "wtf, even my mayohet ship has dumb fucking drama," and that's valid as hell, and i get it.

and also, i get that, even if you didn't grow up shipping impossible ships (or mulder/scully, bc that's a brand of bullshit all its own), this has been a suuuuper drawn out process where sometimes it feels like they're legit sprinkling crumbs to keep you hooked, just to play you again, and when you are invested in something, like /rly/ invested, especially if it's a form of escapism or hyperfixation or whatever, that can be e x h a u s t i n g. and i get that. i truly do, and while i make a lot of snide comments about the fandom being bonkers, i do get where the bulk of you are coming from (unless you're one of those ppl who hate on actors and esp actresses for just doing their jobs, and attack them on social media, in which case i am very much judging you and you need to get your life together).

i also realize that in the scheme of things i'm still a newbie. i've been here, what, twoish/threeish years, whereas some of you have been here since the beginning, so i'm not as worn out as y'all. but i also think that gives me a bit of objectivity that some of y'all have (understandably) lost.

my positivity is not meant as a sleight against those of you who are feeling negative, but is more of a semi-objective viewpoint (i say semi, bc lbr, i'm invested af in this, so i definitely have bias), and to me the threads of the storyline they're crafting seem sort of obvious.

like, let's look at it, yeah? they have one season left of this show that has been on for over a decade. they need to cater to everyone to give them a satisfying ending, while still hanging on to carylers bc of the spin-off. darylrreah seems like a very calculated move, bc it gives them both something to make abcers happy, while also creating tension and suspense and pining for carylers (i think they might underestimate just how fed up some carylers are tbh, and are banking on us to hang on for one last ride, which, honestly? if they play it right will probably work.)

if they end up doing a dumb love triangle thing, which, without seeing the episode and gauging the subtext i can't confidently say if i think they will or won't, it will ultimately end in our favor. it has to, bc leah isn't going to third wheel them on the bike in the spin-off. we can say with good authority that whatever that relationship ends up being (again, idk if they'll drag it out or not) it will be temporary. which leaves caryl open to ride off into the sunset and then bone down in every state in the united states and in puerto rico for good measure.

it's a lot of cheap drama, but i really and truly do not think it's anything to worry about, and i still really and truly trust kang to not make it out of character. ik ppl still don't agree with me on that point, and i'm not gonna argue, but to me it really does make perfect sense.

and i also predict that they are gonna play it up hardcore in the promotional shit and talking dead, but when that happens, remember it's bc it gets attention. regardless of where the story is ultimately going, relationship drama gets attention, which gets viewers, which gets amc and twd producers nice and comfy with full pockets

idk. to sum up ig i just wanted to clarify that i don't mean any harm with my relentless positivity. my history in fandom has just made this seem like nothing in comparison, bc while ppl are freaking out, i'm like, "oh damn, they're actually gonna get together by the end of this, aren't they? i didn't know that could happen!" and that makes me excited instead of upset

and you definitely don't have to listen to me. maybe i'm actually wrong. maybe i'm completely full of bullshit and am just good at making things sound confident. i got a lot of As on papers in college over books i never read, i know how to bs. but i also know how to analyze, and i while i will be the first to tell you i am not the best at a great many things, i do know that i am good at critically analyzing text while taking into account the context it was written in, and imho all signs point to canon caryl. when, i'm not entirely sure, but i see it happening. if it doesn't then they severely fucked up their storytelling, and that'd just be bad writing on their part.

(if you want proof that i'm good at reading writers'/producers' intentions, consider that i watched like, 8 seasons of supernatural before giving up, and said to myself, "i think they're gonna make destiel canon, but not until the very last second bc they are rly into catering to their fans but also have to consider their dumb fanboy audience so they can't do anything crazy overtly gay," and guess who hit the nail on the fucking head on that one)

none of this is important, but it was rattling around my mind grapes and i wanted to write it down into something vaguely coherent, and where else better to do it than here. i can word vomit and then send it into the ether and pretend i never said a thing. i love this horrible website, nothing can compare

i have no real conclusion to this, it was mostly stream of consciousness, but i hope it sort of helps y'all understand where i'm coming from, and why i am as chill as i am about things. not about y'all. y'all cause me so much anxiety i get physically sick and have to legit block tags, but with the actual show content i'm zen as hell

Well, The Mortal Instruments books actually kinda had incest in them as well (which did kinda fucked me up, or rather annoy me, back then, cause not only did I not like the main character, but then she also had to get involved with who she later thought was her brother and after that even kissed and was lusted after by her real brother...)😅😩😩 Tho fanfics still managed to do worse😅

You know what's even worse? Dumb af translations of books!😅 I've been told there is a Swedish(? Not sure if it was swedish) book that is brilliant with witty jokes and weird storylines which do make sense in the end thanks to a overall background story/plot, but the German (or was it English?) translation was so bad that it left out the WHOLE BACKGROUND STORY which made it a horrible, boring read😅🤦🏻‍♀️

Yeah, translations can suck. I sometimes feel the translations to Polish of the newest Stormlight Archive were given to some dumbass translator who translates some sentences with google trans and translates some phrasal verbs literally. And it kills a lot of joy, because I know the stories in English slay.
