Can you imagine my confusion? Because this is pronounced the same way as the band Rammstein and I didn't know this existed before it was brought up at work.
#they were talking about the former US barracks around here and then they got to this#also it took me way too long to remember the german word 'Kaserne'#apparently the us soldiers here back before they left in 1993 were nice. my sampling size is 2 people#every so often i think about how many people my age have a usamerican parent. most often the father. so like. yeah#also i met a guy once who spoke german with an american accent. who clearly learned german around here and was in the army once#just with that i can piece together how he most likely ended up here. like. specifically here#-franz
