What’s Your Favorite Canon Moment of Hartwin?

That’s such a hard one to pick! Both movies had a lot of great moments, but especially the 2nd (for obvious reasons).

The scene between Eggsy and Harry in TGC, where he gets Harry’s memories back after everyone else has failed- because Eggsy knew what would work, he knew what would get to Harry the most -and then there’s all the hugging and the crying and fuck, that’s some good shit!

I will also accept: Harry’s monologue about needing to make more connections because he realized when his life flashed before his eyes as he was dying in the last movie that his was empty. He said that directly to Eggsy when no one else was around, except for Merlin who wasn’t even in the room.

Or, alternately, the entire battle at Poppy’s, when they’re kicking ass and not taking names because they’re too busy kicking ass, and they do the whole like, back-to-back covering for each other thing the whole time. I know they’re a spy team, so they neednto be coordinated with each other’s movements but, like, mmmmmmm mutual trust. Yeeee

Rant About Kirk/Spock/McCoy?

I know some people have a lot of issues with this ship (and for good reason, McCoy is not the most sensitive when it comes to Spock, and I’m not trying to invalidate that), but I absolutely love it! The absolute trust these three share, even Bones and Spock- who historically get along like Cats and Cucumbers -is nothing short of amazing. There’s such a deep connection between all three of them and their friendship is so genuine and true and filled with trust, and that’s what relationships are fucking built on, man.

I sometimes take issue with people who have Kirk at the center of this triad and then don’t have Spock and Bones interacting at all outside of that. I can kind of see where they’re coming from, but personally I don’t buy it. McCoy cares for Spock, Spock cares for McCoy, bothnin theirnown ways. They’re relationship just happens to be one of mutual teasing, and, competition, and rivalry, and sass. Relationships like that exist!

I think ultimately it all works because they push each other to be different in good ways, to grow, to get better as people. I love them so much and they are one of my Top 3, if not #1 polyships. Which is saying a lot coming from me, haha.

What Song Reminds You of Amy/Jake?

Would it be too cheesy to say Shut up and Dance by Walk the Moon? I just think it fits them really well! The feeling of the song, the dancing allusions (they’ve danced together on screen multiple times and each time made my heart sing), the line Helpless to…the physical, chemical Kryptonite that works really well to sum up their chemistry.

‘Backless dress and beat-up sneaks’ is kind of a perfect summary of Amy’s whole vibe as a woman in a male dominated job striving (and succeeding!) to keep a balance of both in her life.

And Jake is always challenging her not to hold back, and she not only rises to those challenges well, she makes him embrace grown up situations in a way that he could never have done before her and the rest of the 99- but especially Amy -even when they were just friends. (I said you’re holding back, she said ‘Shut up! And dance with me.’).

Sorry! This has gone on too long, and I’m sure it sounds pretty basic and uncreative, but I just really like this song for these two.

Alright, here’s a blurb from my series with the Commanders as Sirens (though not your normal Siren. You’ll see) I’m really excited about it and I think I might post it soon.

           Commander Cody stepped back and motioned for Alpha-17 to take the lead, but the Alpha shook his head.

           “They need you, Kote,” he said gruffly, only just loud enough for Obi-Wan to make out above the roar of gunships and blasterfire.

           With a nod, Commander Cody slipped his helmet back on and slammed his fist against his hard chest-piece, echoing in the sudden silence as the nearest troopers turned to Commander Cody.  A loud, ringing call echoed and reverberated through the area, changing pitch and tone until it was a marching song, fit for a battle.  Around them, the men shifted, their focus sharpening, their movements more precise and energized.  It was like all the clones, nearly 200,000 of them, were given a stim shot straight into their bloodstream.  The rolling beat rose in a crescendo and just when it seemed like Commander Cody would stop his song, another voice joined him.

           A clone stepped forward from the crowd and took his place at Commander Cody’s right.  Alpha-17 moved to his left, and the other commanders quickly took up positions around the command center.  The clone’s voice complimented Commander Cody’s, though it didn’t carry quite the same weight.  It was weaker, but no less beautiful.  The notes swirled around and through Cody’s song, on an opposing beat that jarred heavily in Obi-Wan’s bones.  He noticed the way the Geonosians flew away or simply dropped to the ground, stunned by the force and power of the Commander’s song.

           One by one, all the other commanders took up songs and calls of their own, though Obi-Wan idly noted that Alpha-17 hadn’t joined in. There was a reason for that, he was sure, but for now, Obi-Wan just focused on going to battle with these brave men.

           As they marched towards their objective, Commander Cody leading beside Obi-Wan, the other clone and Alpha-17 just behind them, Obi-Wan noticed how squads of troopers didn’t even need to be given instruction on where to go or who to follow.  They just took up their Commander’s song, joining the melody or adding a delightful harmony that rattled every cell of Obi-Wan’s body in the most pleasing way.  The Force chanted alongside the clones, and for the first time since he was a child, sure of the knowledge that he was meant to be a Jedi Knight, Obi-Wan knew his place was beside these incredible men.  He could feel the tug in his very psyche, urging him to follow, to stand beside, and to protect Commander Cody and the rest of the clones that were made for the Jedi.

           In that moment, Obi-Wan discovered a cosmic truth. The Jedi were made for the clones. Their souls were intertwined and had been from the moment the Jedi were created.  All previous lives lost and centuries of Jedi had led to this one moment.
