as the best friend of a vixx stan, from what i remember, hongbin left cause people were mad at him for not liking some shinee remix. n left after he finished military service, i think he wanted to focus on acting more, so he went to sign with an acting agency. ravi left jellyfish a couple years ago but not vixx, and started his own company groovl1n, then recently when it was time for him to go to military service, he posted a pic saying he was going and everything, but several days later an article came out like "ravi being charged for evading military service" so ig hes going to court or smth sdjkfdsk
there was also that rumor of an idol caught doing meth, and all the descriptors, (in a group that debuted in 2012, then left the group, etc) kinda matched hongbin, but hongbin literally was like "i dont have time to do meth, im a loser who streams all day as my job lmao"
i saw in a couple articles that he was apparently slandering shinee and rv and i think like 1 or 2 other artists so i think it was a little more than just not liking a shinee remix. personally i think everyone can have their opinions and not like whatever an older group did, but i also can see how that was problematic since respecting your elders is a really big thing over there and i can also see how one idol slandering other idols on a stream would be a lot of bad press regardless. do i think it's leaving-the-group worthy? no
all that said, i'm assuming that means that leo did not show up to hongbin's place and demand he leave the group? tbh i was hoping that was what went down bc a couple articles i read when i was looking it up said it was like "speculated" that it happened (idk why they think that happened) and the idea that he actually did that is fucking hilarious. kinda bummed that's not how it went down 😔
but anyway i’ll miss n <3

42 - Never Truly Gone

Part 43
Gemini Runaway
Tag list ask to be added @dragonixfrye @secretdreamlandmentality
It was the middle of the night where Nik and I ventured into the space that the witches attempted to kill our children a few months ago. I was wearing a red leather thrown over a tan tea shirt jacket, dark blue with some black combat boots. My hair was thrown up in a messy ponytail. He paused in his steps searching around for the werewolves that were apparently supposed to be here. “Where is she? Where is this witch who dares craft moonlight rings without my permission?”
He looks around to find Cassie, and is startled when he finally hears a voice call out to him. “Niklaus. I've been expecting you.”
The three of us followed her inside and sat down at a table with three chairs. She poured tea looking at Nik and I. “I must offer my condolences on the tragic loss of your child.”
“Wasn't it your coven who threatened her life?” He asked her when she slides over two cups of tea to us. “Is that tea your idea of a peace offering?”
The witch asked him back. “Chamomile has lots of healing properties. Did you know that it is also a flowering plant?”
Klaus points out to her while I took a few sips of the tea sensing off about the woman across from me. “I did. The plants grew wild near my boyhood home. But, neither the tea, nor your botanical musings explain the reason why you've taken it upon yourself to forge new moonlight rings.”
Cassie smiled looking my way. “I assumed that was obvious. An alliance between the wolves and the witches would restore balance to our home.”
Nik was still suspicious. “Well, that's a lofty goal for a teenage girl.”
“Long ago, the witches and the wolves were at peace. Then came the vampires. A plague made flesh, a curse on this earth. You have no humanity, and so you punish those who do. Witches have a coven, werewolves have a pack, and so we are a constant reminder of everything that you have forsaken. Creatures such as you will always hate the living, and so we will always have to defend ourselves. The rings level the playing field. If we are united, nothing can stand against us.” Cassie explained tapping the sides of her tea cup.
Klaus tries to keep his cool. “It's an ambitious strategy. But allow me to offer a few words of advice, if I may be so bold? New Orleans is a vicious place, and your enemies are everywhere. Behind your back, before your eyes. You will need to remain vigilant against those who would seek to destroy you, some of whom you may never see coming.”
“I see you seem to be attracted to the bad boys, Raelyn.” The Cassie witch with the short black hair raising a brow at me.
“How exactly do you know my name?” Giving her a confused look I didn’t understand considering I didn’t introduce myself or anything.
She smiled while taking a sip of her tea. “I’ve heard the rumors of an ex witch who was born a siphon and was turned into an abomination herself. Half witch and half vampire. Something like that should exist.”
“Chamomile. It's the same tea my mother made. How I loathed it.” Nik interrupts our silence.
Cassie seems amused. “Would you have preferred mint?”
He leaned back in his chair beginning to rant off about how much he didn’t like his mother. “You know, she was insane, my mother. No, it's true. She believed we were abominations. "A curse on this earth, stretched out over generations," is how she put it. But, she was the true monster. She changed her children, stole our innocence, made us vampires, condemned us to an eternity of bloodlust, and then acted as if we were to blame.”
“Cassie, was it? His mother had attempted to kill me in a ritual to wipe out her children she claimed to be monstrous from the face of the planet. So I must agree with him that his mother was not someone who considered others' wishes.” I glared at her sitting my tea cup down clutching my hands into fists.
Cassie grumbled at him. “She sounds awful. Are you building to a question, Niklaus?”
He pauses glancing in my direction where we both shared the same confusion on our faces. That was the second time she had called him by his full name which was strange. “You use my full name, as though we are familiars. I find it insulting. Before she deed, a witch revealed that your coven was under my mother's influence. Does she speak to you now?”
Cassie smiles back. “She doesn't have to - I know exactly what she would say. She would tell you to go to your room for being so rude.”
Nik loses his temper and slams his hand over Cassie's, and stares Cassie in the eye before some wolves were already waiting outside the open doors. “It's okay. Niklaus and Raelyn were just leaving.”
Nik growled still angry. “I will happily kill them all!”
Cassie warned him. “Then, you will have murder members of the very pack you still hope to someday lead. Besides, there's no need for bloodshed. We can always resume this discussion another day. Goodnight, Niklaus. We will speak again soon.”
Spinning on my feet I followed my boyfriend until Cassie grabbed my arm holding me back for a brief moment. “Raelyn, you must know that children are a gift. But some aren’t meant to have as much power as yours would have if they had survived.” She released my arm disappearing back into her space.
We vamped back to the compound seeing Elijah was waiting for us. Slumping down in a chair at one of the tables I eyed my husband. “Why would she say something like that? I mean…it can’t possibly be…”
“It is worse than we thought.” Nik breaks the neck off of a bottle of wine. “I met the witch, Cassie. I studied her, her presence, the way she carried herself. The fervor with which she voice her hatred of our kind. I looked into that girl's eyes, and, I swear to you, Elijah, she's just just guided by our mother. She is our mother.”
Elijah stood stunned. “What is happening?”
Klaus snarled through his bared teeth. “I'm going to kill her. I will boil her bones and feed them to the dogs, if that's what it takes.”
Elijah tries to interrupt him. “Niklaus -“
“What? What could possibly be more important than the return of our mother?” Nik raised his tone towards his brother throwing his hands up after sitting down his bottle of beer on the table beside me.
Elijah immediately declared towards him. “...Our father. I saw him standing there in the flesh, as you do now. He was enslaved with some spell cast by Davina. He holds the stake. If she chooses to release him…”
“Wait what…” Flipping my hair around my shoulders when I completely spin around in my chair scared that he was telling the truth. That if Esther and Mikael were back that meant our lives were in more danger than we had ever faced in our lives at the moment. “You’re joking right. Please tell me that you are kidding me..cause their is no way that he’s alive. Nik, shoved the white oak into his heart. Esther, was stabbed by Alaric.”
“But in this life. Dead doesn’t ever truly mean dead, Raelyn.” He trailed off eyeing the hybrid.
Nik huffed slumping his shoulders in determination. “Well, then there's only one question we need to ask, isn't there? Which of our parents do we kill first?”
“I’d say Esther since she is coming after our children. She’s draining us with every moonlight ring she creates after the next.” Immediately responding to his response I didn’t hesitate to wait for his brother's reply.
Nik rested his hands on the back of my chair where our eyes meet and remained fixed on each side deeply. "As much as I would like to agree with you that my mother is first. We have to remember that Mikael has the stake that can kill everyone in my sire line." He dropped down on his knees beside my chair resting a hand to my cheek. "Including you now, Rae."
"Nik, I don’t want to be afraid anymore. That’s what I adore about being a heretic.” Placing my hand on his shoulder I vamped upstairs away from the pair. Slamming the door shut with magic I flopped down on the bed throwing my hair around in a mess.
Someone knocked on the door slowly entering the room where I lifted myself up seeing Nik coming over and sitting down beside me. “You have nothing to fear, my siphon queen.”
“If we don’t kill him or manage to get the stake then our daughters will grow up without their parents forever.” Sitting upright I hugged my knees to my chest fearing the worst if we didn't stop him.
Nik turned my chin so I’d look him in the eye with his thumb and index finger. “Hey, you will have nothing to fear. We will defeat him together. As always we promised, together forever.”
Nodding my head I laid my head against his chest gasping sharply suddenly when someone entered my mind. “Nik ah!”
Frantically looking around I was inside a small hut where I headed for the door not seeing Nik anyway. Kicking it opened I was left in the middle of the woods not recognizing anywhere I was at. There was the sound of roost coming my direction where I shoved my fangs seeing there was a woman with dark brown hair and dark eyes. “I have been wondering when I would get to meet you, Raelyn Lane.”
“Who the heck are you and how do you know my name? Where are we?” I spat questions off the tip of my tongue becoming completely paranoid on what exactly was going on.
The strange woman came towards me and raised her hands from her sides. “My name is Dahlia. My sister was named Esther. I assume you already know about her. As for how I know you, my magic allows me to sense the powerful witch magic of another.”
“You wouldn’t be the first witch to sense other witches' magic. But that doesn’t answer all my questions. So I suggest you start talking before I rip you.” I growled clutching my hands into fists.
Dahlias smirked at me. “Ah you’ve got quite a temper to go with your power. I must say your daughter will be troubled when she inherits that from you. Alongside that hybrid you claim to love. She will be more dangerous than you ever imagined.”
“I don’t know what you’re talking about. My daughter is dead.” I lied through my teeth knowing that no one could know she was alive along with her sisters.
Dahlia stomped forward getting in my face before I got knocked out. “I’ll be coming for her soon enough.”
Grabbing my head I sat upright on the bed seeing that Nik was hovering above me with pure panic scattered across his face. “Rae…thank god. What happened..you were fine and then you passed out in my arms.”
“I…I have no idea. I woke up in the middle of the woods with a strange woman who said her name was Dahlia. And she…she knows about one of our daughters. She can sense her magic, Nik.” Running my fingers through my hair, my chest was heaving up and down.
His blue eyes scanned over me not seeing anything hurting me now. He pulls me into his chest wrapping his arms around me. “Then I’ll call Rebekah and have her find another witch. We will go visit your father and check on the twins. We won’t let anyone come after any of them.” Pressing my head against his heart I didn’t want anyone to harm my children.
Comments really appreciated ❤️

a day in hogsmeade — ron weasley
pairing: ron weasley x female!reader
summary: ron weasley may be one awkward lad who can’t hold reader’s gaze for any more than ten seconds, but he is also terribly endearing.
a/n: @glisseoo asked for some ron fluff so i shall deliver
requests are closed for now. please refrain from plagiarizing my work!
Tumblr media
"You do realize you've been staring at me for the past minute, right?"
The redhead next to her flushes the same hue as his hair and puffs his cheeks out, gaze skittering away. "I wasn't," he says indignantly, sounding far too defensive, snorting out a laugh as though the mere idea of it is outrageous. “Why would I be.. ha.. staring at you.. ridiculous.."
[Y/N] shakes her head, grinning.
Ron Weasley is one awkward lad; it has only taken her an hour into their date at Hogsmeade to realize this. Part of her had been expecting it ever since he'd come up to her in the Great Hall three days ago, a furiously blushing mess as he blubbered something about asking her out. Looking back on it, despite him having rambled on in front of her for about half a minute, all she can really remember—all she'd vaguely made out at that moment through his constant stammering—were the words "Hogsmeade" and "this Saturday" and "want to—um—go with me".
She’d said yes, of course. Ron Weasley may be awkward, but she can't deny herself the pleasure of going on a date with a very cute—and apparently very funny, according to the rumors—redheaded boy.
And to be honest, his awkwardness is quite endearing. [Y/N] finds herself laughing every five minutes or so whenever she spots him downright staring at her—and whenever she catches him, he always tears his gaze away and pretends to be preoccupied with something else.
Ron does it again now, as [Y/N] surveys the Honeydukes shelves and glances at him out of the corner of her eye. The effect is almost immediate; the moment her eyes land on his, he looks away, hand flying up to randomly pluck a box of—ah, Cockroach Clusters—off of the shelves.
"Interesting choice," muses [Y/N], turning around to properly face him, twiddling with a box of Bertie Bott’s Every Flavor Beans in her hands. "Can’t say I’ve ever seen anyone pick up a box of Cockroach Clusters for their own enjoyment—it almost always has something to do with some sort of practical joke.”
Ron coughs and puts the box back on the shelf. "Was just looking."
[Y/N] purses her lips together to contain the giggles threatening to burst out from behind them. She smiles down at her feet for a moment, lips pinched in a poorly-concealed smile, and then gestures to the row of Cockroach Clusters. "Well," she shifts on her feet, "Have you ever tried them?"
Ron's eyes widen. He practically blanches and says, "Never. My brothers—Fred and George—tricked Percy into eating it once.. don't think he was the same ever since."
[Y/N] laughs at this. Ron looks up, seemingly pleasantly surprised at her reaction, and then laughs quietly under his breath, hand reaching up to rub the back of his neck. "That does sound like Fred and George," [Y/N] giggles. "Do you take after them?"
"Gah, no." They’ve started walking now, Ron keeping pace next to her in the narrow aisle, their shoulders brushing slightly. "Mum would have a heart attack. She’s got enough on her platter with two troublemakers in the family already."
[Y/N] raises her eyebrows and glances up at him. "You sure you aren't one? I’m in your Potions class, you know. I’ve heard you talk back to Snape plenty of times."
Ron flushes red not for the first time that day. "Can't really help it. He’s a bit of a git." And then he adds, "Sorry."
"Oh, don't be." [Y/N] waves a hand in the air as though to brush it off. "You’re not wrong. Can’t keep his nose out of other people's business—you know he gave my friend detention once for disrupting his class when all he did was sneeze?"
"I remember that. Wasn’t that Ernie?"
"Exactly—Ernie Macmillan. Snape made him clean the trophy room."
Ron makes a sound in the back of his throat like a snort. "Ah. The trophy room. Probably didn't have much to clean, then. I scrubbed the bloody hell out of those trophies four years ago when I got detention."
[Y/N] laughs, nudging him lightly by the elbow. "And you say you're not a troublemaker."
This time, Ron doesn't blush beet red; he actually laughs, and [Y/N] is pleased at how he's managed to ease up a little. Shrugging, he admits, "Suppose I am. Not as bad as the twins, though, as I’m sure you know."
"I and the rest of the castle," [Y/N] affirms, giggling. They’ve reached the cashier by now—and speak of the devil; the Weasley twins are standing in line, though their backs are turned. "Isn’t that them?" asks [Y/N] curiously, looking to Ron for confirmation.
But the sight she's met with is rather comical. All the color seems to have drained from Ron's face; he looks like he's seen a ghost. Gaping a little, eyes wide in what looks like panic, he clears his throat and says, "I think we should go."
But luck is not on Ron's side, because either Fred or George—[Y/N] can't really tell which one—turns around, and at the sight of their younger brother, beams widely and exclaims, "Ron! Fancy seeing you here, dear brother!"
"Fred," says Ron through gritted teeth, and then, once the other twin has turned around, "George."
"Shopping for sweets, aren't we?" grins George.
And then, seemingly at the same time, their gazes land on [Y/N], who stands at Ron's side, amused. An identical flicker of surprise crosses the both of their faces before Fred manages to say, with his eyes darting between the two of them, "Is this what I think it is?"
"Oh, my." George’s mouth has fallen open in an incredulous laugh. "Is ickle-Ronniekins on a date? with [Y/F/N], no less?"
[Y/N] side-eyes Ron to see that he has tensed and is glancing around as though in search for the nearest exit. She scoffs a little at the twins, and, sending them an exasperated look, scolds them by saying, "Oh, leave 'Ronniekins’ alone. He’s been nothing but sweet the entire day."
Their grins grow even wider. "Isn’t that right?" says Fred, tone still teasing. "Well, I must say: We're proud of you, Ronniekins. See you've finally found it in you to ask out the girl you've been obsessing over for two whole years now."
[Y/N]'s eyebrows rise up in intrigue. Ron's cheeks, meanwhile, flush an even darker shade of red. "I'm not—" he begins.
"And since you two are together—"
"We’re not—" Ron tries again.
"—you ought to start teaching him how to play Quidditch, [Y/N], you being a Hufflepuff chaser and all," Fred continues smoothly. Up ahead by the cashier, someone has successfully made their purchase; the twins take a step back, moving up the line without even looking behind them. "Ron’s planning on trying out for the Gryffindor team next year, you see."
"What the—how do you know that?” Ron gapes.
"We’d teach him ourselves," says George, sighing, "But Ron's temper is a little—ah—"
"Fiery?" Fred suggests.
"Let’s just say one time he grabbed my Beater bat in mid-air and whacked me upside the head with it."
An amused laugh leaves [Y/N]'s lips before she can even think about suppressing it. "Is that true, Ron?" she says, tone playfully scolding.
Ron rolls his eyes, grumbling, "That was after they jinxed my broom to let out farting noises every five seconds."
Another laugh. "Interesting," she hums. "Well, thanks for the tip, you two." And then, narrowing her eyes at them good-naturedly, "I’ll be sure to teach your brother Quidditch—with a method that doesn’t involve farting jinxes, of course."
Fred and George beam. They’re up next in line. "I bagsy best man at your wedding," Fred announces, swiveling around to face the cashier.
"No, I do—" argues George, turning around to pile up the sweets in his arms on the counter.
Moments later, the twins are waving their goodbyes, all the while dramatically sobbing into their hands and saying something about their little brother growing up too fast. Fred pats [Y/N] on the shoulder as he passes by, saying in a hushed voice that he'd totally meant for Ron to hear, "Take care of ickle-Ronniekins for us."
And then [Y/N] and Ron are left in the Honeydukes shop, Ron with a flushed face and [Y/N] heavily amused. "That was.." she exhales, laughing as she slides her box of Bertie Botts' Every Flavor Beans across the counter. "Quite something. Are they always like that?"
"Every bloody waking moment," complains Ron, shoulders sagging as he practically deflates against the counter, leaning his hip on it. "Sorry about them, they're.."
"A bit much?”
"That’s an understatement," Ron comments, obviously still spiteful.
"Did you really hit your brother with his own bat?" she glances at him, eyes alight with genuine curiosity as she takes the paper Honeydukes bag from the shopkeeper with a polite "thank you".
Making their way to the exit, Ron nods, his own eyes shining with a kind of fieriness that [Y/N] can't help but laugh at. Passionately, he says, "And I’d do it again."
She starts chortling at this, walking through the door as Ron holds it open for her. “Interesting group of brothers, you all are," she enthuses, smiling at him somewhat sympathetically once her giggles have faded. It’s still snowing outside; she pulls the ends of her scarf tighter around her neck.
[Y/N] purses her lips, falling quiet for a moment as though pondering over something, and then, her lips tugging up at the edges, she looks up at him and asks, "And have you really been obsessing over me for two years?"
Ron's eyes grow wide and they skirt away almost immediately, hand flying up to scratch the back of his neck like some sort of defense mechanism. "I—I don't—" he sputters out," I mean—not obsessed—" and then he pauses, as though to start over. Shoulders deflating, he mutters, eyes still downcast, "I've.. always found you really pretty, is all."
[Y/N] scuffles her feet against the ground. The smile tugging on her lips is far too insistent, so she just lets herself succumb to it and grin down at her shoes before she looks up at him, eyes alight with mirth, and says, "It's fine, Ron. That's really sweet of you." And because she has a feeling he doesn't want to talk about his—erm—feelings anymore, she asks, "Do you want to go into the Three Broomsticks next? Grab some butterbeer, maybe?"
Ron nods. But his eyes don’t fail to catch onto the way she’s rubbing her naked hands together—she’d forgotten her gloves. He doesn’t pause to ask and instead takes off his own immediately, handing them to her without quite meeting her eyes.
Despite the rush of gratitude this tiny act gives her (and the butterflies it lets loose in her stomach), she holds her palms out at Ron in a stopping gesture, hurriedly saying, “Oh, no—keep them, Ron, your hands will get cold—“
“Just take them,” Ron says, still abashed. “Can’t have you freezing to death.”
She pauses, another fond smile tugging on the corners of her lips, and then exhales defeatedly and takes the gloves from him, putting them on. “Well, I doubt I’d freeze to death,” she mutters, “but thank you.” Once the gloves have fitted snugly around her hands, she looks up at Ron, smiling softly, and says, “Ready to go, then?”
“Yeah, let’s—oh, blimey. I forgot. Wait here!”
Before [Y/N] even begins to register his words, Ron has disappeared and is dashing back into Honeydukes, leaving her standing outside, bewildered.
Isn’t he something else—leaving his date behind, alone in the snow. [Y/N] can’t help but laugh, giggling to herself as she clamps her hand over her mouth, earning strange looks from Hogwarts students passing by.
Ron Weasley is awkward and a bit of a mess around her, but [Y/N] finds that it’s quite adorable. And it’s certainly an assurance to know that she’s not the only one venturing into unknown territory—this is her first date, after all. And to be completely honest, she’s enjoying it. Initially she thought she’d be having too hard of a time dealing with Ron’s overbearing awkwardness, but it’s quite the opposite, as she’s grown fond both of it and of him in general.
And that fondness only multiplies when Ron bumbles out of the Honeydukes shop a few minutes later, holding an entire block of wrapped chocolate in his hands, which he hands to her.
“Thought you might like it,” he says, abashed, only managing to hold her gaze for a few moments before his eyes are darting away again. “Would’ve bought it earlier.. got distracted..”
[Y/N] tells herself that the pink blush that is no doubt spreading across her cheeks is most definitely because of the cold and not because of a certain Ron Weasley.
Feeling a thousand things all at once—all of which (so be it) have something to do with Ron—she smiles, all crinkled eyes and dimpled cheeks, and stands on her tip-toes to press a kiss to his cheek.
Flushing, she pulls away. This time she’s not quite meeting his gaze, either, as she says, “Let’s get going, shall we?”
Without waiting for a response, she scurries away, cheeks a blazing shade of red as Ron stands there, hand coming up to brush against the spot on his cheek where she’d kissed him.

Hi, first of all just wanted to say that thanks to you I got deep in the HPHM analysis rabbit hole and I had this thought. Why didn’t Harry, Hermione or Ron ever hear about MC? MC graduates from Hogwarts while the trio starts in 1991, I would imagine people would be talking about the cursed vaults since it would be fresh. I could understand if Harry overshadowed MC but still wouldn’t it be discussed in the background or at least Hermione would hear about MC but this thought occurred so what if, the ministry of magic interfered. We’ve seen in the movies and books that the ministry of magic has a surprising huge amount of control to restricting the newspaper to appointing teachers at Hogwarts. I also read somewhere that possibly the ministry of magic was involved in Jacob’s expulsion so what if the ministry of magic restricted knowledge to the public about MC after they graduate. Of course why would the ministry of magic do that? I think they see MC as a bad influence or someone dangerous or if JC goes with the MC dies or disappears they wouldn’t want public outrage that another student died/disappeared on school premises. Sorry this ended up so long but just wanted to know your thoughts.
Welcome to the analysis rabbit hole of HPHM. It's only about three feet deep and yet once you jump in, you never stop falling. Does that make sense? No, but ask yourself, do half of the plot threads in this game make sense? Exactly, it's an endless paradox of fascinating frustration. The word of the day with this game is potential. I've seen it described as mediocre but I wouldn't use that word at all. It's far beyond mediocre. It just remains under the cut of what it probably could be, and that drives me a bit bonkers. I am glad if I could bring you into the fold of overthinking the story of Hogwarts Mystery. Once you begin, you can never quit. The characters are just too compelling.
I've talked about this with past anons, why I'm not surprised that Harry never heard about MC. Though you raise a good point that even if he never heard about MC, wouldn't it stand to reason that he'd probably hear about the whole Cursed Vault fiasco, even just in passing? Even in one of those throwaway lines that later became important? Something Fudge or Binns might have mentioned. I mean again, R has infiltrated the Ministry and they were investigating Hogwarts to explore hidden locations in the school. Remember when Harry was perusing a brochure for Curse-Breaking in OOTP but then shrugged it off because Arithmancy was a prerequisite? (Which, come to think of it, makes it distinctly weird that Arithmancy was never an available class in HPHM...) That would have been a fine moment to drop a casual reference to some past struggle about a Cabal and a young Curse-Breaker. The obvious reason is of course, that HPHM wasn't written yet, but in-universe, the question still stands.
Dude, I love your idea that the Ministry covered all of this up. It would make perfect sense, and it would tie in with everything. I find it pretty damn significant that the Ministry went through a transition of power at the bridging point between the books and HPHM. Though apparently Fudge is already Minister by now, but still. I can only imagine how much he would fear the scandal if it came out that R had members within the Ministry, particularly if the Rotfang Theory winds up being true (and I'm almost certain that it will be at this point.) Jacob and MC would absolutely be seen as a dangerous influence. Fudge wouldn't want them around, to stay in the public eye. Sure, he can't really stop MC from becoming famous but he would want to avoid it at all costs and expunge any reference to their childhood adventures, same goes for Jacob. You know...Moody is no longer an Auror by GOF. He's apparently retired, but the Ministry doesn't like him and the rumors are that he's paranoid and crazy. What if he wasn't? Or at least, what if the Ministry intentionally discredited him and demanded his resignation when he refused to keep silent about R?

You know I've always had this scenario in my mind and always thought about how it would turn out. The basic premise is that you (the summoner) exist in other worlds sorta like how there are other Askr's. Maybe some of these versions of you existed in other Fe games and had a completely different life than the you who was summoned to Askr. Then that led to me thinking about what if one of these versions of you was in a relationship with one of the Fe characters and somewhere along the way you died in battle protecting them. After some time they get summoned to Askr to see "you" but not the one they knew, but you from our world. It makes me kinda wonder how some of them react to seeing "you". How would someone like Chrom, Ike, or even someone from 3h would act? What are some of your thoughts? This has been on my mind for a long time and I wanted to see how someone else who played Feh would think of this. Thank you for your time. ฅ^•ﻌ•^ฅ
[ [ oh my Gods, I hope you didnt think I was ignoring this. I saw this and immediately got excited because I have thought about thi very thing! Like...For instance, in the games where you get to ‘make yourself’ i.e Awakening and Fates/Birthright, what would happen if the YOU from those worlds ALSO came. And I =ve always thought about this and so when I got this I got the perfect one! vwv I used our grumpy ninja Saizo because when I first played birthright I went for his ass because Ive a thing for teasing grumpy and manly men and the reward I got for dealing with his ass was not what I expected. Plus I feel that half the time (on a serious note) no one understands just how AMAZING of a partner he can be. (Well if you didnt go for him as an S rank yeah)....You know what would ALSO fuck that up???? If your KIDS came and remembered YOU as their parent. Also sorry its long ;A; I was really amped! ] ]
[ [ See and I thought I was the only one thinking of this kind of scenario too! And I have just the one in mind too! No one gives Saizo any love >: C And if you haven’t ever got him to S rank in Fates then you have no gods damn idea what youre missing with this boy-o here. SO HERE I GO! ] ]
When he had first laid eyes on you...or well….laid EYE on you, he was taken aback so terribly. If one could compare he’d best relate it to a poisoned arrow shot right into his heart. He couldn’t believe it. He thought he was seeing a ghost. Upon seeing you come into view when he was first summoned he wanted to run and grab you and hold you so close that you just might die. Again.
But he knew better. Ever so quickly did he know better. The [ Y/N ] he was seeing now was not the [Y/N] he held ever so dearly in his own World. No. It couldn’t be. And he had to learn to quickly place those thoughts aside. Being a Saizo though, he couldn’t. He needed to investigate. He needed to lay his woes and curiosity to rest. And so he did what he did best. He patrolled. Out of sight, in the shadows. Every time he was able to. Which, being a ninja, was always. Even though his own Lordship , Ryouma was there, his heart told him he needed to place importance there.
For a while he did stay away though. He made sure to never get too close to you. If you were both in the same room, he did his best to not gaze at you for too long. But there was so much that you and his [ Y/N ] had in common. It was almost sickening. It tore at his heart strings. But he steadied himself around you.
So...So...SO MANY similarities….Like how you smiled even when you were nervous. The way your head bobbed when you were trying to think of a plan. Or how your eyes glossed over when you sat and just...watched the sky. Like how the both of you would on quiet nights in Hoshido….
Eventually you would catch him though. And he’d be floored so badly. He should have seen this coming though. Back in Hoshido you were always so predictable. At least to him you were. You would tease him,
“You just have really weird supernatural ninja skills!’ You would raspberry from time to time. He would take your hand and hold it and simply sigh,
“It is through the deep connection between us that allows me to know every step you take.” His voice always soft in this fact. His large hands holding your soft and small ones. You would wrinkle your nose and roll your eyes.
Here in Askr, you would do this too with those you were close with. When Shareena would joke with you about a Hero you might like. Even in distaste when Loki would attempt to smother you in her plots.
His mind was elsewhere now as you stood before him, a brow cocked up pretty high, palms on your waist. His eye blinked, coming back to reality. You seemed annoyed. Like how Hoshido you would be whenever you found him stalking you.Oh wait, he was caught.
“Hello???” You huffed at him.”Saizo, you’ve literally been in this corner for so long. Are you-“ You wrinkled your nose with annoyance.”Are you STALKING me?!” When you got annoyed or angry at him ,you were surely a force to be reckoned with. Maybe that was also what had drawn him to you back in Hoshido…You were the only one who dared step up to him...
Saizo, this is not Hoshido anymore!
“I…”He started, a hand raised as his digits fiddled with the air as if the words were just there for him to pluck. “I was...patrolling.” His voice was faint. His eye glossed over a bit.
“You’re ALWAYS patrolling. Don’t you do anything else?” You were truly annoyed with this man. Every word pinging his memory. Like flash backs in a reel they spun in his head. “I’ve heard the others and what they’ve said about you.” At this point your arms were crossed over your chest, hips slanted to the side, toes tapping. “I can assure you I’m fine. Go back to Ryouma.” You honestly weren’t trying to sound harsh to him. But him practically breathing down your back for no apparent reason was weird and unnerving.
“I know you’re worried that if I’m not ‘tactful’ enough your precious Lordship will be in danger, but trust me, I got this.” You’d been in this world long enough to know how to care for yourself. And by care for yourself you meant you slaved nights away planning and going over maps to make sure you got the best results when taking out the Charges of Heroes that were placed into your hands the moment you rolled out of that accursed mirror.
Yeah, you fell into a mirror. That’s how you got here.
While you went on about how Saizo could just stop being a creep and let you be, all he could do was see and hear his Beloved [ Y/N ] back in Hoshido. Every detail etched into his memory. Now playing out in front of him. It almost brought him back to the day before...He lost you.
It was so cold that night too. Assassins tried your patience. Wars with other countries having brought back the instincts of war within the both of you. You had been molded into that of a seasoned and fine Leader. You had been busy with being a leader and making hard decisions. He didn’t want you to,though. You going out onto the battlefield always made him nervous. It was why he was always by your side. To take on the muscle. Be the muscle. You refused to sit back and watch though. You had a duty to the small kingdom you protected. It was your duty to be out there in the fields as well.
By this time you were still going on about how he needed to relax. There was already a plethora of other Hereos trying to “keep you safe” and you most certainly did not need more. You also just wanted him to relax and worry about himself and to just make sure he was in top form for whenever it would be that he was needed. You just wanted him to...be.
In times like this, back in Hoshido, whenever you would go off on one of your ‘angry tangits” at him, he would usually shut you up with a passionate yet soft kiss. Pulling you into his big , firm and strong arms and pressing his unmasked lips against yours. And you would melt. So simple. But not here. He couldn’t do that here. He couldn’t because you weren’t his...You someone else’s [ Y/N ] and it tore at him. Any fool would act on their hearts will, but his will of mind was stronger. Even when it was breaking apart for the second time.
“Ok are you just not listening to me or something?” You were more than annoyed. Having been going on about how he needed to chill. His eye looked at you. Almost in a glare.
Oh, if you only knew [ Y/N ].... If you only knew.
He snapped to it finally and his brows furrowed at you. “If you weren’t so aloof about what goes on about you, I wouldn’t need to ‘stalk’ you.” He gruffed. Mentally slapping hisself. That sentence was what started your relationship in your own world. And he knew he messed up by saying that. You rolled your eyes at him.
“If I had an orb for every time I was told that I would have…” you paused…”I don’t know how many but I know it would be a lot!’ You threw a finger down. He scoffed at you.
“Simpleton.” Was all he said to you after, quickly vanishing without a trace. Damn he was good ninja. You didn’t even see him leave.
He’d not be far though...He’d be at the corner of your eye, every time. Just back in his world. Ever so silently watching you from afar. Holding onto his heart break every time he would lay eye on you. And you would never know. You’d never have a clue that the man everyone rumored to be as cold hearted as he looked, once held you to the utmost importance in his life. He loved you dearly. So very dearly...You’d never know though. Never...

Special Skill ~ J.P. (part 1)
A/n: After Drive By part 2 WIPED me the fuck out, I tried to rejuvenate myself with some lighter content and ended up realizing that I actually ADORE Bradley Steven Perry, so I went back and watched some old shows and movies he’s in. When I stumbled on Pants on Fire... well, you know I had to ;) This was the piece I was so excited about! It’ll be a two parter because I cannot do all of ANYTHING in one part it seems lmao
Warning: This is male reader and also PURELY self indulgent. Also, LOTS of lying and manipulation. Being ignored. Highschool. Nothing too serious.

Everyone has a special skill. Some people are just really great at school. Some people are fast learners. Some people are natural, easily funny. Some people are good with kids. Some people were fantastic at keeping promises, or never failed to do what they felt had to be done no matter the cost.
Jack Parker's special skill was lying.
Y/n's special skill was being completely invisible.
Not like in a  superhero way, but in a high school way. Y/n was really quiet and reserved. He wasn't caught up in the normal high school things like relationships and popularity. In fact, he was withdrawn on purpose, finding most kids his age to be really annoying or ridiculous on some level. He was never rude, but he did prefer people watching and laughing to himself, to actually interacting with others.
He never meant to eavesdrop, it was just that he'd be sitting on the floor, leaning against a book shelf reading a book when someone on the other side of the bookshelf would start talking about something that he tuned into without thinking. Or, his quietness allowed people to forget that they weren't alone while walking or riding the bus and they'd talk loud enough for him to hear when he wasn't too far away. He perhaps could have tried harder to avoid people and give them their space, and he almost had... until one day he'd overheard Jack Parker and his best friend Ryan talking about something so very interesting that it convinced him to never stop listening to people ever again.
Jack Parker was... an interesting person, let's start there. A few people were pretty sure that half the things he said were true out of sheer improbability. However, Jack was such an amazing liar that no one could prove him wrong, and after a while even the ones who disbelieved him the most fell for his confidence and charisma. He just SEEMED like he was telling the truth. Everyone believed Jack when he told them something happened, especially when he became a local hero for tutoring some boy from another school. Mikey.
Well, almost everyone believed him at least. His very best friend, Ryan, knew the truth because Jack had told him. And Y/n knew because he'd been within earshot when Jack had told Ryan in the first place.
It had been what usually happens. The two boys had been in the back of the bus, as they both got off at the last stop - along with Y/n. They didn't know this though, because Y/n sat in front of them, just a few seats. He didn't talk, or even move a lot. He even sunk a lot into his seat as he was quite small, and leaned against the window to look outside, one earphone in his ear. As usual, his weird talent to be invisible no matter how hard he tried - for god's sake he was wearing a neon red jacket that day - he went completely undetected. So when Jack had explained to Ryan that he had lied about Mikey, and what it meant for them, Y/n had been well within ear shot to hear the whole thing.
Y/n could have told someone. Probably should have. But he had... a sort of crush on Jack, and selling him out wouldn't get Y/n anywhere with getting on the boy's good side. Not to mention, there weren't many people that would believe him - if there were any at all. He probably could have figured out a way to show Jack up. To rip apart his tapestry of lies and expose him to everyone. But Y/n believed that mistakes should be learned from. If he exposed Jack now, all that would happen is that Jack's life would be ruined and Jack would hate him. Things would come out eventually, and hopefully it would be from Jack himself. If that damage had to be done, Y/n wasn't going to be the one to do it.
He never really was, though. He never did much of anything.
All of that being said, Jack and Ryan were not the only ones stunned when the very Mikey that had been a ruse, suddenly turned up at school. Solid and smiling and talking and very much real. He passed every test and followed through treating Jack exactly how you'd expect Mikey to be. With him came Jack's super hot girlfriend from Arizona, even though Jack was so obviously crushing on one of the girls at school - Jenny. If that hadn't been bad enough, Jack and Ryan themselves broke into the room where Y/n was having shop class, being chased by lumberjacks who seemed to have it out for Jack. Weirdly enough, that fit another one of Jack's lies - once he'd broken his arm apparently single handedly fighting off two lumberjacks, but Y/n had seen Jack at the bike park the day before, and had seen him fall and break his arm, so he'd known better. Seeing them here now worried Y/n. So of COURSE he offered to take the two men out of the school where they belonged, and used it as an opportunity to dip out of class and follow after Jack to see if anymore of the lies Jack had told had come true.
Maybe even figure out what the hell was going on, and stop it.
Jack probably didn't deserve it, but if this got serious then Jack would be in danger from lumberjacks and aliens and pro wrestlers alike - and those were just the lies Y/n had heard about. Life was hard enough without your life being in danger, and that directly putting others' lives in danger as well. Y/n usually sat back and did nothing, but this wasn't one of those times.
After school, Y/n decided to go home - he wasn't going to follow Jack THAT far. But only the very next day, the rumor that Jack had been outside Jenny's house covered in all kinds of different things - including makeup - Y/n realized that maybe Jack needed an extra pairs of eyes to help him out. Unfortunately, Y/n lost Jack pretty early in the day as none other than Mikey himself approached after having a short exchange with Ryan and Jack. "Hey!" he greeted warmly.
Y/n stared back for a few seconds. Mikey seemed to get uncomfortable - the first negative reaction he'd had to literally anyone his entire time being here. "Hi," Y/n finally responded evenly, narrowing his eyes.
The response seemed to cheer Mikey up again. "Now that I'm transferring schools and coming here permanently, I think I want to make friends outside of Jack. He seems to be close with everyone here on some level, except for you and a few others. Figured I'd try each of you guys until someone - or even all of you - want to be my friend too!"
That made Y/n smirk. "I know you're full of shit."
Apparently, Mikey hadn't been expecting that. "I'm sorry?"
Shaking his head, Y/n scoffed. "I know Jack lied about there even being a Mikey. If you're just here to psyche Jack out, or for some magic thing, why are you trying to be friends with ME? No one wants to be friends with me."
This time it was Mikey who didn't respond right away. "You're less invisible than you think. I saw you in the window yesterday, watching me and Jack. I also saw you take those lumberjacks out of the school, which probably saved the boys a lot of time. I also saw you following Jack around the rest of school after that. You're the only one in this entire school who seems to be questioning anything." He smirked. "I have a friend who would really appreciate your help, especially since you know the truth about Jack... if you wanted to get him back for it."
Okay that wasn't what Y/n had been expecting. "Will I finally know what's going on?" Mikey nodded. "Will I have to participate in duping Jack?"
Mikey only shrugged. "We'll see what she says. Probably not."
How could he say no? "Who's this she, and what are you guys up to?"
Finally, that huge grin returned to Mikey's face. "I'm so glad you asked."
-
When Hannah had finished explaining the lengths she'd gone to in order to shake Jack up enough to finally tell everyone all he'd been lying about, Y/n had only one thing to say. "So you're lying to him to get him to come clean about lying to everyone else? At least now we know for sure you're both related."
That made her go a little red. "Listen, you have a little sister. You bring her to the fun center all the time." To that Y/n had to nod. "I see the way you sort of blend. I've picked Jack up from school for enough years now that I also notice the way you look at him." Y/n went stiff and Hannah chuckled. "Listen. He's a tool, and I have NO idea what you see in him, knowing what you know. But if you help me do this, maybe I'll help you out with your dilemma."
Y/n crossed his arms over his chest, suddenly not in a very cheery mood. "As much as I appreciate the thought Hannah, I'd rather like him from a distance than have to be friends with a straight boy I've liked for years okay? I'll keep my mouth shut - don't make any other promises you can't keep. Especially because-" Y/n swallowed a thick something caught in his throat. "He likes someone else.
There was an odd look on Hannah's face, but it was hard to read and she wasn't about to explain it which was most clear when she just kept on talking. So Y/n dismissed the look altogether. "Fine, that's fair." They parted ways there as Y/n noticed Jack and Ryan walking over to head home. Y/n had left class early to talk to Hannah in the empty parking lot, but now his time was up. "See you around, Hannah. Good luck." She winked and the boys shot Y/n confused looks as they got in the car and he left. As he went, he could hear them asking Hannah who he was, but she just said that Y/n had been asking for advice because they worked together, and left it there.
With how easy the words had left Hannah, and with how much confidence she'd had, perhaps Jack's talent for lying was more of a family thing than Hannah would like to admit. The thought amused Y/n enough to cheer him up. For now at least.
The next day in PE very quickly ruined his mood again though, as they were set up to play dodge ball. Mikey ended up being one of the team leaders, and he chose Y/n first to be on his team. Everyone was surprised. No one ever picked Y/n first. Even standing in front of them dressed in bright blue and red, he still blended into the crowd and it was often that not until everyone else had been picked they even realized he was there at all. Unfortunately, Y/n knew why Mikey saw Y/n so clearly. Why Mikey had picked him first. And he wasn't happy about it.
During the games, Mikey didn't talk much to Y/n which was appreciated, but the attitude Y/n gave him every time they DID interact seemed to catch Jack's attention - exactly what he didn't want to happen. Especially when a few games in everyone was picked off one by one until Jack and Ryan stood against Y/n and Mikey. Two on two, with Jack's eyes trained on Y/n in a way that made Y/n feel like he was going to explode. Perhaps it was that exact energy that demanded to be used that had driven him to pick up a ball and throw it at Ryan, nailing the red head right in the chest. "Nice shot!" Mikey congratulated. Y/n rolled his eyes.
In his moment of distraction, Jack hit Y/n with a ball as well. Y/n looked over when he was hit and the two boys' eyes locked. Jack seemed to be asking a question Y/n didn't want to even look at. Didn't want to hear, let alone answer. So he ducked his head and dipped, bee lining it for the water fountain on the opposite end of the gym to wait out the rest of the game so he could have as little downtime as possible to interact with Jack. It was that action which caused him to miss Jack nailing Jenny in the face with a ball aimed for Mikey, but he'd hear enough about it later to plenty make up for it.
After class was lunch, and Y/n would have made it peacefully to his usual spot under the bleachers, but Hannah stopped him on the way. Y/n was expecting her to ask him to be nicer to Mikey, but her eyes were only full of concern. "Mikey told me what happened in PE. How Jack noticed you, and how you ran away. He said you looked upset."
Y/n sighed, his shoulders sagging. "Honestly I just..." He wasn't used to having someone care about him, or talking about his feelings. It felt so promising to finally be able to, but also terrifying. Perhaps he and Hannah were in cahoots now, but she had no reason to actually care about Y/n. She was probably only asking to make sure that he didn't slip and tell Jack anything, which gave the thought that once this whole thing was over, she wouldn't care anymore. That meant Y/n could NOT get attached to her. Temporary things weren't worth putting effort into. "Nothing. I'm just used to noticing, not being noticed. Mikey sort of drew attention to me when he picked me first and it threw me off." He shrugged. "Now if you'll excuse me-"
"Hannah?" The sound of his voice made Y/n freeze, perfectly still. Not even breathing. "Drive us to Funland."
"Please?" She prompted, eyes staying purposefully away from Y/n, who kept his back to Jack but was still unfortunately in full view of her.
"Hannah," Jack tried again, voice laced with irritation. "Drive us to Funland. Please." the last word came out sarcastic and sharp. Y/n felt himself relaxed, ever amused by Jack's unceasing attitude.
"No," Hannah answered bluntly, smirking as she crossed her arm. Y/n actually smiled, and that only served to encourage her even more.
"Come on," Jack complained.
Ryan seemed to be less sure about wanting to go though. "We can't go back there," he reminded urgently. "Otis banned us for life." Y/n shot a look at Hannah, whose smirk only grew. Y/n had known for a long time that she worked at Funland - after all, he did take his little sister there like she'd said. He was beginning to wonder what shenanigans he'd been missing out on.
"We have no choice," Jack argued, turning to his friend. "If we want to get rid of Mikey once and for all, we have to find that purple hippo."
That caught Y/n off guard, and without thinking he turned to face Jack, too confused to think clearly. "I'm sorry, you're looking for Hurley?"
Jack only then seemed to realized Y/n was there, and he stopped a second, as if realizing it was the same kid who's been playing dodge ball with Mikey. Ah yes, back to being invisible. "No," Jack picked up again. "We're talking about a purple hippo at Funland who stands around and hands out balloons."
"Yeah," Hannah said this time. "His name's Hurley. And he doesn't hand out balloons."
"Well, when Emma and I went yesterday, Bart was off," Y/n piped up, directing that at Hannah. He didn't want to address Jack yet, and every time he looked at Ryan, the red head had gears turning so visibly not even his narrowed eyes could hold it off.
"That explains it," Hannah affirmed, nodding.
Jack was the next one to pipe in. "How do you two know all this?"
Hannah answered that one. "Jack, I've worked there for two years. I see Y/n there all the time with his little sister."
"Seriously?" Jack's shoulder relaxed, and Y/n realized that he'd pieced together why Y/n and Hannah were so casually talking to each other. He must have paid as close attention to Hannah as he did to Y/n though, because Y/n and Hannah had never really talked until all of the recent stuff that had been happening.
That theory was confirmed when Hannah huffed, "Where did you think I was going for four hours every day after school?"
"Well I don't know." Jack's eyes went wide as he shrugged. "I was just happy you were out of the house." Hannah sighed and took Y/n's arm to drag him after her as she began to walk away. There was only a second before Jack trailed after them, desperation leaking into his voice. "Hannah," he pleaded. "Hannah, please!"
Hannah was strong. Y/n wasn't. He pulled out of her grasp, turning to face Jack. "If you're really set on finding Hurley for whatever weird breakdown you seem to be having, his main habitat is the jungle mini golf course. Look for him there, okay?"
Jack grinned. "I like your new friend Hannah. He's awesome."
Y/n looked away to hide his blush.
"Yeah yeah, now go," Hannah dismissed, and the two boys ran off to go find Hurley. She grinned at Y/n when they were gone. "You know I'm Hurley, right?"
Y/n winced. "I know that now."
She giggled. "It's fine. This could be a good thing actually. They seem lost - I'll give em a little nudge." She leaned closer, bumping her shoulder with his. Her finger on the other arm reached up to tap his nose. "Push him in all the right directions." She winked, and then took off walking without Y/n this time, leaving him with a sinking dread in his stomach.
He pushed it down to take Emily to Funland just like he always did though... which had been a mistake. He thought that it would have been a big enough place to avoid Jack and Ryan, but only an hour later they were heading out of the jungle mini golf course when Ryan walked up to them, which of course meant Jack followed after. "Hey, I never caught your name?"
Y/n wished in that moment he could just die on the spot. "It's Y/n," he answered, hoping that would make Ryan go away. Long story short: it didn't.
"You've been coming here with Emma for a few years," Ryan continued. "Do you have any idea who Hubert could be?”
"Hurley," Y/n corrected tiredly. Ryan nodded. Y/n let his eyes drift away, searching out Emma as she climbed the rock wall. Unlike Jack, he wasn't good at lying. People never asked him questions - they never talked to him at all. But he had to lie. On some level. He DID know who Hurley was, but he couldn't exactly tell Jack that. Damnit Hannah, why did she have to tell him?! "Not really," Y/n finally caved. Ryan rose an eyebrow. "I mean I saw Hurley without a head once when I first came here, but they were fired as far as I know so I'm assuming it's someone new. That was three and a half years ago." It was truthful in full. Aside from the just the story, he didn't really know Hannah personally. He could have told them he knew it was her now, but he just. Didn't. Everything else had enough truth to it that it wasn't hard to sell.
Jack stepped up. "This probably makes no sense to you, but I just wanted to thank you for helping out. I think I've seen you around school a few times, but we've never like talked or anything. I just have to ask... why ARE you helping?"
Y/n shrugged. "I hate lying, and there's no harm in telling you what I did." Only then did he look away from Emma again as she began to reach the bottom of the rock wall, directly into Jack's eyes. "You have a lot going for you. It would be a shame if some unexpected drama were to ruin everything else." Jack's eyebrows came together, but before he could say anything Emma had reached the bottom and had made her way over - as Y/n had intended.
"Who are your friends?" the ten year old asked.
"Not my friends," Y/n corrected in the same nonchalant voice he'd used to remind Ryan of Hurley's name. "Just people I got to school with. They were just leaving-"
Emma's eyes went wide. "Wait, you're Jack aren't you?" Y/n went stiff. "My brother used to talk about you all the time! You're like the coolest kid at his school."
Jack turned his raised eyebrows on again, still aiming them at Y/n. Y/n shrugged. "What teenager who goes unnoticed and completely uncared for doesn't want to be friends with the popular kid?" He put either of his hands on Emma's shoulders, steering her away. "Nice to see you guys, later!"
Unfortunately, Jack didn't leave it there. "No wait!" He jogged over and Emma stopped, which forced Y/n to as well. "You've been cool. I wouldn't mind being friends."
Ironically, Y/n flashed back to what he'd said to Hannah. How much he had so NOT wanted this exact thing to happen. But what could he say. 'Sorry don't want to be friends with my crush, that would suck'? He couldn't that. But else would make sense? "Sure," Y/n sighed.
For some reason, that made Jack smile. "If you guys are set on staying here for a while longer, you can, but you could also come hang out with me and Ryan at my house if you wanted."
Y/n went to decline, but Emma got to it first. "Only if I can come along," she stated firmly. "This is sibling time. You get to join, not interrupt."
"That's fair," Jack agreed. "Come on!" The four kids headed outside after getting Emma's shoes and stuff, ready to catch the bus back to Jack's house. Y/n was sweating bullets. Unfortunately, going to Jack's house was the least of his problems. The second they were outside, Jack froze. "Perhaps... we should cancel the whole going to my house thing," Jack began nervously. His eyes moved to the others slowly, fear in them. Y/n seemed to put together what had him immediately - another lie had come to life. As if on cue, Jack looked at Y/n and Emma before his eyes glued to Ryan with purpose. "Remember when I told Eric that I was late meeting him because I was abducted by aliens?"
Ryan immediately went tense, and Y/n went pale. All four pairs of eyes turned to the roof, following Jack's lead as they saw what he had. Two men, wearing odd glasses like Cyclops from the X-Men comics. They seem to look identical - down to the matching shiny, silver suits and black, polished shoes. Very... what one might assume... alien vibes.
"No," Ryan whispered, forcing himself to reject what he was seeing. "I absolutely do not remember. I refuse to remember!" He even turned away, eyes focused purposefully on the cement.
"Too late," Jack shot down, his voice full of regret and resigned fear. He looked at Y/n and Emma, and in that moment the look that Jack had on his face would be burned in Y/n's mind forever. This is the face Jack made when he told the truth. "They're back."
"There are no such thing as aliens," Emma argued, shaking her head even as she looked up at the two men on the roof with awe.
"Right!" Ryan agreed, getting his momentum back. "Those are just two dudes, you know, wearing weird suits, standing on top of a roof." Jack and Emma nodded along, but Y/n was the one who had kept his eyes glued on the men, so he was the one who first saw the very bad news.
"They're running down it!" He screamed, jumping back to push Emma behind him, protected for maybe only a second longer than if he'd just left her be.
The two men landed, removed their weird glasses to reveal glowing red eyes, and then opened their mouths to release a high pitched, terrible shrieking sound. Y/n was most disturbed by the fact that they seemed to be even more identical with the visors off. So when Jack said to run, all four of them did, taking off into the garbage and hopping into the back of a truck. The aliens ran by and they were home free... well, until they almost ran face first into the lumberjacks, who had been so good as to find Jack again - this time with even more friends in harm's way. They were all running again, booking it into the elevator and to the top floor where they came out on the roof of all places. Where, to everyone's luck, the lumberjacks also were as they'd taken the stairs. Where, just as well, the aliens were as well, having run up the long way - through the parking lot. Even Otis was here, on his little golf cart to run them down as well.
Just as all hope seemed to be lost, Jack's fake girl from Arizona - Y/n never learned her name - pulled up in a red convertible, yelling at the four of them to get inside. Emma, Y/n, and Ryan all piled eagerly into the back seat, but Miss Totally not Fake Girlfriend locked the car before Jack could join them - right after he thanked her too, which finally gave Y/n her name. Lisa.
"Not you," Lisa snapped.
"What?" Jack almost screamed. Y/n couldn't blame him - Otis, the lumberjacks, and the aliens were getting closer by the second.
"You broke my heart, Jackie Bear," Lisa whined. Y/n looked away, his hands curling into fists. Putting Jack's life on the line was NOT worth having a heart to heart. This was NOT the time - how selfish did someone have to be? She didn't have to come at all if she didn't want to help, so why wasn't she just doing it and then talking about it later? She could have locked all of them in the car once they were safe and not let him out until... but then was when Y/n realized what this was about. The fake danger would force Jack to spill his guts and be honest, even if he wouldn't have in literally any other situation. Hannah was a genius.
"Lisa, please," Jack pleaded. "Whatever you want, I'll make it up to you."
"You're just saying that because you're selfish and you don't want your brains sucked out of your skull by aliens." The sentence was ridiculous, but Lisa DID have a point. Jack was only using her as an escape - he didn't really care that he'd hurt her.
Jack finally cracked though, not having enough room to think rationally. "Okay what do you want me to say?" he snapped.
"The truth," Lisa stated firmly.
And then, for some reason, Jack looked directly at Y/n, and in his eyes was that same fear from earlier. Y/n realized that the high opinions of others meant everything to Jack. Even now, thinking his life was on the line, with Y/n in the car, he couldn't bring himself to say it. "Just tell her, Jack," Y/n demanded. "I know as well as Ryan does that this whole lying thing has gotten out of hand."
Stunned, Jack looked back to Lisa. His confusion was replaced by regret as he saw HER. The girl he'd hurt by blowing her off to hide her from Jenny. Jenny, who had been hurt by all the other lies as well. Y/n, who seemed to know Jack had been lying but seemed hurt anyway. In that moment, he realized that Y/n was right. This HAD gone too far.
"Why don't you want to be with me?" Lisa asked gently, leaving no room for half truths or cop outs.
Looking around, Jack finally took in his situation... and gave up. "I-" His eyes flickered to Y/n again before landing on Lisa solidly. "I made you up so my friends wouldn't make fun of me."
Lisa smiled. "Get in." The car unlocked and the door opened and Jack was inside, and then they were pulling away and headed to Jack's house.
It was dark when they pulled up and unbuckled. Jack turned to Lisa, thanking her. She only smiled. "I know how much you love trouble, Jackie. Someone's gotta watch out for you." Ryan's eyes found Y/n's in that moment, and Y/n got the terrible feeling he'd been officially wrapped up in something he'd been trying to avoid.
"Listen, I'm sorry I lied to you," Jack apologized now. "I never, ever meant to hurt your feelings. It's just... I'm kind of into someone else." Y/n found himself having to look away, but he didn't miss the way that Ryan caught the pain flickering across his features. He only hoped Ryan wouldn't put together why.
Lisa was unphased. "If you like this someone else so much, Jackie Bear, just... try being honest with them. No one wants a relationship built on lies."
Jack nodded, then looked at Y/n. Feeling his eyes, Y/n looked back. "Speaking of..." He rose an eyebrow and Y/n nodded, recognizing without saying it that they needed to talk. They all got out of the car, said goodbye to Lisa, and then stood there and watched her go. It was then that Jack turned to Y/n again. "How did you know Lisa was a lie?"
Y/n sighed, crossing his arms over his chest. "I know a lot of things about the people at our high school. I don't MEAN to, people just... don't notice me." He shrugged. "Say things without realizing I can hear you. I was in the bus with you guys when you told Ryan that Mikey was a lie. I was also at the park when you broke your arm on your bike, so I knew you lied about the lumberjacks. I'd hear the "my secret girlfriend in Canada" line so many times it was easy to put together that you were full of crap about that too. I eventually wrote off that most things you said that sounded ridiculous on any level, were. Like your Asian parents and the wrestler and Mikey's dog's bionic tail."
After a second, Jack let out a breath. "Why didn't you ever tell anyone?"
At this, Y/n could only bring himself to shrug. "I don't owe anyone anything, and there was no harm coming from it at the time. I mean, the other people lined up for Student of the Year were annoying, and that was as far as I knew when it came to who you were affecting. It's not my job to keep you from making your own mistakes - you have to be the one to tell them. You have to learn from it. Now more than ever. All of these things happening are affecting more than just you, and Lisa was right. Jenny has probably been hurt by the lying most of all." Jack went to argue, but Y/n just rolled his eyes. "Half the school can see the way you look at her, Jack, you're not lowkey." That shut Jack up immediately.
"Well," Ryan sighed. "Now we know how to fix the whole thing. It worked with Lisa, and it can work with the others too. You just have to tell the truth - that isn't hard."
But then a look crossed over Jack's face, and Ryan and Y/n seemed to realize what he was thinking without him having to open his mouth. "Jack..." Y/n whispered softly.
"I'm just so CLOSE, you guys!" He huffed, looking at the with desperation. "Student of the Year gets announced tomorrow."
"Are you crazy?" Ryan snapped. "After everything we've been through?"
"The hippo said I have to confess to everyone. He never said when," Jack reasoned. "I'll just do it after Student of the Year. You even said it yourself Y/n - those kids are annoying anyway. I'm showing people that grades and crap don't matter - heart does! That's a GOOD thing."
Y/n stepped away when Jack reached a hand out to put on Y/n's shoulder. "But you're not winning on good character, Jack. You're winning through lies. Lies that are becoming a serious problem. And what do you think will happen when they realize you've been lying even after you got the award? You think there are aliens and lumberjacks coming after you and anyone close to you, but you still prioritize what? Being a bat boy?" He shook his head, grabbing Emma's hand. "I was wrong about you Jack. I thought every teenager was afraid of being hated and invisible. I thought you did it because you cared about being able to do the cool things you can - like stop bullies two years older than you from messing with other kids, or getting a whole school to rally together through love and excitement. But the only thing you're doing it for is the glory, and you care more about that than your friends and family." Jack went to say something, but Y/n just shook his head. "I was stupid to have a crush on you. You suck." And then without seeing Jack's reaction, he turned and walked away.
He figured that after his little confession, Jack wouldn't try to be friends with him anymore. Before, he'd been silently afraid of that. No matter what he told himself, he wanted Jack to see him and smile. To know he existed and to enjoy being around him. Yesterday, or just a few minutes ago even, that would have been enough...
Now, Y/n didn't care in the least. If that was how Jack treated people he saw, Y/n was just fine curling up in the shadows and never having Jack look at him again.

I'm inspired by the people who had been sending you their ideas and i've been reading them and got an idea, it's not completely mine but i had been reading one of those prompts out loud, the one with the red door and my friend kind off heard me reading it and she told me about an incident which had happened to her. So apparently when she was a child, my friend had lived in a countryside with her family and a dog, like a village so there had been rumors about one of the "so called palace" of their village that it's haunted and my friend's family was living just a mile away from that big house. The house was mostly empty as no one would come forward to take it after the rumors but after a while, there was a couple who came forward and bought the house. They had two children. So, after a while, my friend's family visited them and she made friends with their children and they started playing with each other on a daily basis. So one day she took her dog along with her because there was no one at home to take care of the dog. When she reached the house, she said that her dog didn't even step on their porch and started to pull away from her. Like it felt uneasy and had some disturbing feeling. After the incident, her parents did not let her go to their house or play with those children.
Soooo..the idea that i had was, i remember someone asking you about Dani and Jamie owning a pet and you answered saying that you were still thinking about it. Well, how about Owen and Hannah owning a dog ?
Picking up from the red room prompt where Dani is at Hannah and Owen's place as she waits for Jamie to come back. Dani also gets introduced to their dog, she pets her and the dog instantly loves her. When Dani hears the sound of a car parking, she knows that it's Jamie and that she was back. She bids goodbye to Hannah and Owen and heads towards the main door. Their dog instantly clutches to Dani's skirt and doesn't let go of her so Hannah suggests that she could take the dog with her for the night which would help her to take her mind off of those traumatic things and Dani agrees to that. Dani approaches their porch and the dog just doesn't step on their porch. Instead releases itself from Dani's grip and runs back into Hannah and Owen's house. Jamie notices everything from a distance and approaches Dani, where Owen and Hannah were also present. The couple (Hannah and Owen ) is shell shocked to see their dog doing something like this because it had never happened before but in order to not make things more complicated for Dani, they just brush it off by saying that the dog might've just been nervous since Dani was a new face. However, Jamie knows that, that wasn't normal and probes(in a friendly way and good intentions)about the situation about how Dani surprisingly ended up at their place so Hannah and Owen give some random reason to which Dani hesitantly nods in agreement. After being together for so long, Jamie knows that Dani was lying. When they get inside their house, Jamie asks Dani if she was alright, she's been asking this question literally the whole time and Dani answers the question saying that she was fine and this time the answer wasn't any different. Jamie sighs and says in her low and deeper voice "Right, you're fine.....(And then she finally looks at Dani and says) Dani, we've been together for so long and so i can tell if you something's wrong, alright ? look , i know that i've not been around a lot before and there's not a single day that goes where i haven't felt guilty about that. I know that you do not wish to be with me anymore and i know that we'd be going our separate ways after this but that doesn't mean that i don't care for you or that i don't love you. But, i also understand that you do not wish to be with me anymore and i guess there's nothing i could do to make up for the things i've fucked up so at least let me take care of you for now, while we're together"........ Dani doesn't respond for a while so Jamie just gives up and turns away to go to her room and right then Dani says something like "There's this room upstairs....." and she narrates the whole thing to Jamie. She takes Jamie upstairs and shows the place where she had dropped the letter but the letter was no where to be found then. She starts tearing up and starts telling Jamie that the letter has to be in that exact spot and that she had not been hallucinating things, that this is all real. Jamie calms her down and says that she believes her and that she doesn't need to give an explanation or provide any proof for that.
That night Jamie asks Dani if she liked to sleep in her room, which is downstairs and away from the red room. That could be the night when Jamie notices Dani having a sleeping paralysis.....
Omg I love all of this so much!! Thank you for sending it my way!! I will 100% add this to the fic because I love it!! Especially the dog instantly loving Dani and Dani feeling comforted by the dog!! Hannah and Owen saying she could take her for the night is so cute and the dog pulling away from the house straight away is so good!!
I love Jamie’s little speech about still loving Dani and caring about her and how she knows she’s fucked up and there’s nothing she can do to change that… this speech could be the beginning of them reconnecting and I love it so much!!
Dani sleeping in Jamie’s room downstairs away from the red room is so soft and sweet and I can imagine a late night conversation between them stemming from this and it can just be a soft and sweet moment for them that is soon followed with Dani falling asleep and then suffering from sleep paralysis!!
I love this whole idea thank you so much for sending it my way!! ☺️
