end notes for zero-sum game (tw: slavery, sexual abuse)
hi if you're here it means you read my deranged aventurine smut. thank you for reading that abomination lmao I hope you enjoyed it 😭 once again I've touched on really sensitive topics and don't want to be misread so I'm writing some disclaimers/explanations below:
In the act of gambling with human stakes, as well as doing business with human traffickers, Aventurine is essentially himself engaging in human trafficking. This is not something he particularly enjoys doing or wishes to exploit (which I did try to indicate in the narrative); he only does this for his role with the IPC.
The reason I made this a narrative about human trafficking is not because I wish to glamorize this crime. I framed the narrative this way because I wanted to point out how Aventurine actively perpetuates the kind of capitalistic violence that ruined his life by being a Stoneheart. This is something that is implicit in the game but not openly explored, hence I expanded on it here.
Somewhat thematically related: the reader actively engages in self-objectification—using it neutrally as a tool for their espionage work at times, but also positively in order to eroticize their one-sided and exploitative relationship with Aventurine. This was not intended to condone the objectification of human beings; rather, I wanted to show how a lifetime of sexual objectification and extreme dehumanization as a slave has led them to objectify and dehumanize themselves, sometimes even in the capacity of enjoying it.
Aventurine in canon similarly engages in self-objectification and dehumanization as a trauma response (i.e. he refers to himself as a chip in a positive manner, clearly as a reaction to how his owner referred to him callously as a chip when he was a slave), though in my opinion he's not really implied to derive any real joy from the idea.
Related to the point of objectification: Aventurine and the reader clearly do not engage in particularly safe, sane or consensual sexual dynamics (specifically referring to how he started undressing them before they fully consented to public sex and just kind of decided what to do with them without prior discussion). This is not because I think this is acceptable behaviour; it is a reflection of their unequal power dynamic that the reader actively encourages and Aventurine is fine with perpetuating. It is also implied to be the result of his own distorted relationship with sex—he has literally been coerced into doing exactly the same thing in the very same establishment, and assumed that the reader would be fine with doing it too because they generally enjoy it when he exercises "ownership" over them, which they both associate with sexual control for traumatic reasons.
I've seen discourse around the fandom where people interpret the act of kissing Aventurine’s commodity code as a purely sexual or fetishizing action. I thus feel compelled to explain that the act of Aventurine and reader kissing each other’s codes in this story served a specific purpose within the wider narrative about dehumanization. I wrote a lot of things in this fic purely because I was ungodly levels of horny for Aventurine (lol), but those particular actions actually had narrative weight lol
With all this being said, I hope it is clear that the reason I chose to focus on themes of slavery and dehumanization is not because I intend to promote or glamorize them, but because I wanted to explore specific points of Aventurine’s characterization that exist in canon. The theme of sexual abuse (and its psychological fallout) is also something that is a natural extension of his story arc in canon. I have no wish to perpetuate any of these things, and I have faith that my audience can distinguish fiction from reality and thus will not have their perspectives on real life issues be seriously influenced by my dumb horny fic on tumblr dot com.
Also I should hope this is obvious but do not use your regular everyday gloves to finger someone! I like to imagine that Aventurine’s expensive science fiction gloves has the incredible ability to remain sterile in everyday circumstances 👍

Sorry x
I stumbled across your post while trying to learn about ace experiences (partly because I'm questioning atm for various reasons). Youtube videos on the topic are repetative and don't give as much insight into actual experience, just rebuttles to assumed questions being asked (I had literally no expectations or questions in mind other than my friends as frame of reference and 'Am I ace?').
I still feel conflicted about it all and the mutually shitty tone allo and ace people persistently use with each other. Belittling the validity of everyone's experiences. I don't like how both allonormativity and a lot of ace discourse cordons off or ignores the nuances of human experience.
I've always been literally socialy isolated and hated to the point of people throwing stuff and physically attacking me on the street for existing as I am (autistic) anytime I leave the house, and I've never related to any character that's shared any of my identity with me (stuck to non-fiction because fiction books were like reading the perspective of my bullies). I may not know exactly how you feel and whether I do or not you are still valid.
I was excluded from allonormativity on the assumption by everyone around me that I was ace specifically because of both the conflation of autism and asexuality and the ways both are dehumanised by wider society. People assumed I was ace and were blatantly aphobic and ablist to me. I know aphobia from experience despite not being ace. Nothing I said in that reblog was an attack.
(I'll shut up now)
hi, i appreciate you taking the time to send a message. i had already received some anons over the post i made and it made me extra sensitive, so your tags in particular, with the "complaining about sex on tumblr is like complaining the sky's still blue" or whatever rubbed me the wrong way and felt like it was invalidating my feelings on the matter. thank you for reaching out to correct that.
i'm also autistic and i definitely understand what you mean – the lack of true representation is incredibly alienating and isolating, especially when that isolation is already our lived experience.
i know you saw my response before i deleted it – i don't have issue with there being a lot of allo rep and sex in fandom; my main frustration is that often when there is ace rep where an ace character is sex-repulsed, touch-adverse, whatever, it's depicted as a shortcoming that that character should be trying to overcome. i'm sure you can probably relate, what with autistic characters needing to become "less autistic" to get their happy ending in a lot of media 🙃 it's like there's always something about us that needs to be fixed to suit other people's wishes, and it's exhausting.
i hope you find peace with your own personal identity journey – i know with the asexuality spectrum, it can be really difficult to figure out where you land. (i have known i was on the aroace spectrum since i was 14 and i'm 26 now and still unsure if there even is a label that fits my experience)
anyway, thanks again for reaching out

I think it's interesting how pre-2022 or so when the average person heard "paraphiliac" they'd picture objectums and/or dendrophiles (writing this unlocked the staggering memory of watching a guy reacting to wikipedia's paraphilia list like cringe compilation style), while now everyone associates it exclusively with pedo/necro/zoophilia and reacts with hatred to the most general mentions of it... I don't actually know why this happened but I'm not a fan
I think it really is just because paraphilia discourse picked up steam in the last couple of years, and a lot of people who do have potentially harmful paraphilias just say they're a paraphiliac as a way of keeping themselves safe. Hell, it's what I do. Being specific would just result in targeted harassment, so it's best to be vague so that people can't use that information to hurt me. And of course, what naturally happened is people began to assume that anyone calling themselves a paraphile in a broad sense was trying to hide something in that vein.
That, and it's not like people ever really liked paraphiliacs to begin with. BDSM is still highly stigmatized, a lot of other unusual fetishes (feet, inflation, feederism, piss/scat, etc. etc.) are pointed at as being "cringy" or "perverted", and that's not even touching on the few paraphilias that sometimes result in criminal behavior, like (nonconsensual) exhibitionism, voyeurism, and frotteurism, and of course pedo/zoo/necrophilia. A lot of people will just assume that because you have a fantasy, that it means you intend on acting on it, when in reality that really isn't the case. It's just that there's far more coverage on offending paraphiliacs (especially regarding the big three) because most would not out themselves publicly in their right mind. Which of course means most paraphiliacs are only outed when they're caught actually doing something heinous, such as looking at CSEM or defiling a corpse. This makes the ratio of offending vs. non-offending paraphiles feel signifcantly higher than it actually is.
That, and of course, criminal behavior of all types is sensationalized. People will go on for weeks about this YouTuber or celebrity admitting to fucking their dog or whatever, because it's good drama. It's basically free money to talk about it, AND you can warn others about a potentially dangerous person. But it still has the unfortunate side effect of dragging other paraphiliacs down with them, because things like animal and child abuse are especially topics that trigger a lot of strong emotions, and so of course people are going to react viscerally if you come off like you're trying to excuse or sympathize with the behavior even the slightest bit. Comparatively, a YouTuber/celebrity being outed as liking feet or inflation is far less likely to get a reaction, because even if it's considered "weird", at least it's not something potentially or tangibly harmful. Exceptions made, of course, for people like Dan Schneider who involved underage persons in his fetish. Sexual abuse is a sensationalist topic. That's why grooming allegations get hundreds of thousands to millions of clicks. That's why the guy who gets outed as being a kid diddler or a cat fucker gets far more negative traffic than the guy who admits to having a piss fetish. That's why paraphilias in general are far more associated with criminal behavior than they are with "fetishists in general".
It's also difficult to talk about how paraphiliacs are treated at all because you'll either have bad actors trying to force themselves into communities that they aren't apart of, or other people misconstruing them as doing that. For example, the times certain pedophiles and zoophiles tried to worm their way into the LGBT community have basically destroyed any conversation you can have about how paraphiliacs of all stripes are sexually oppressed and stigmatized. Or how some people will hear about how paraphiliacs are subject to ableism and take that as somehow comparing disabled or mentally ill people to abusers. This is such an inherently sensitive subject that requires a lot of tact to discuss, and the unfortunate reality is that a lot of people simply don't want to hear it, or the conversation was made infinitely more difficult by genuine apologists and bad actors trying to hide behind paraphilia advocacy as a way of receiving encouragement to abuse and even access to potential victims.
Hell, something interesting I've noticed is the few times I've accidentally stumbled across zoophilia/bestiality forums, wherein anti-contact zoos were basically treated like "pick-mes" trying to appeal to broader society. It's fascinating, and many paraphiliacs (particularly pedos and zoos) tend to not even act maliciously. They genuinely believe the objects of their affection can consent, or that they aren't doing any harm, and so they're forced to maximize their cognitive dissonance and surround themselves with yesmen in order to avoid confronting the harm they've caused. It's... genuinely pretty sad, I think, and is a lot more harrowing than the "these people are just evil and are hurting these vulnerable people/creatures for selfish reasons!" narrative that dominates most outside perspectives of paraphiliacs and sexual abusers.
So between sensationalization, demonization, and flat-out misinformation: of course pedos/zoos/necros are singled out. Those three paraphilias are among very few that are absolutely never consensual, and many people object to just thinking about them because the idea of a child, animal, or deceased love one being violated brings up a lot of visceral emotions. Other paraphilias are easier to justify; "kink is just two consenting adults, why are you so pressed about it?", whereas people are far less likely to jump to the defense of even things like lolicon/shotacon and fictional bestiality or necrophilia porn, because of just how deeply stigmatized they are even in theory. Even when it doesn't harm anyone, it's still seen as decrepit and dangerous, because Westerners especially are conditioned to gauge pretty much everyone by how much of a "potential threat" they could be-- whether this be due to someone's mental illness, race, gender, or any other amount of uncontrollable factors that inevitably lead to you being profiled as being a dangerous person or not.
Anyways I'm genuinely sorry about just how fucking rambly this is. I know there's big blocks of text and it's not really cohesive, but hey, I can barely focus and this gave me something to respond to that I like talking about. I really appreciate this ask in particular, as it's something I enjoy talking about which is why I started sperging about it C:

DNI footnotes/explanations.
Realized my DNI got a bit wordy so I decided to put the long text here instead of in the introduction. Full DNI list is in the introduction, and this is only the footnotes for a few select items on the list.
(Footnote 01): "DNI if you ship THOSE ships. Y'know, the ones which involve some form of i*nest or p*dophilia."
I don't want to get into the flipping "pro-ship/con-ship" discourse. If your interested in these relationships not because you like the two together, but because you want to explore these uncomfortable topics (while handling it with care and recognizing yes this is very fucked up and your supposed to be horrified and not thinking "awww isn't it nice how these two characters are in a relationship.") Then yeah, that's fine I guess because unfortunately, these f*cked up things both happened in the past (looking at you Hellenic Egypt and Ancient Greece) and unfortunately still happen now. Not really interested in fan works that depict characters I like as bloody gr*omers but you do you.
However, if you don't tackle that and just ship the two characters like nothing is wrong with the situation, I'm going to think your a weirdo/creep and ask you to not interact with me. At first glance I'll assume your the latter and not the former. If you are the former please make it clear your not the latter. (and no if your the latter and are using the former as a shield you don't get a pass.)
and if your the person who'd say "actually in my AU Frisk is aged up and also a girl so that's why its ok that I ship them with sans" or "um actually Lancer is a teen and not a child bc of all these weird arguments so its ok that I ship him with Susie" or "Actually the Dreemurrs didn't adopt Chara, Asriel and Chara are not siblings, plz ignore how Gerson once referred to the Dreemurr's children in the plural," then I'm just going to look at you weirdly and still ask you to not interact.
Also to clerify, Friskriel and Charisk don't fall under this DNI unless specific extenuating circumstances are in effect. Friskriel is fine unless Toriel adopts Frisk because then it's incest. Charisk is fine, and I guess there's some grey area in "is it moral to date a ghost that used to be your mom's adopted child like 100s years ago" because of I guess that lacks the whole "power dynamic" issue, but if it's a "save ghost pal" situation where Chara's magically alive because ????? and Toriel adopts Frisk then it's incest. (Hey things get complected when one of the characters is dead!) I will give the benefit of the doubt and assume Friskriel and Charisk isn't the incestuous versions unless stated otherwise.
(FOOTNOTE 02): "Kralsei just barely gets a pass until we know what Ralsei is. Potential reveals may push the ship into the DNI zone."
This is only until we get an answer on what Ralsei is. There's still the caveat of "there's some sort of connection between him and Asriel due to the anagram, and characters drawing attention to the resemblance so future reveals may push the ship into the yikesy category." The resemblance is concerning but I'm just not going to touch the ship until we know more about what Ralsei is.
Currently, I just see Kralsei shippers similarly those who shipped Luke and Laia in 1982, as ROTJ isn't out yet so you don't know their siblings. (Except for the Kralsei example we know he's somehow connected to Asriel, while with Luke and Laia it was a retcon in ROTJ and SW fans pre-1983 had no reason to be worried, especially seeing as they f--king kissed.)
I don't think Ralsei is Asriel, but if its revealed that Ralsei is like a personification of Kris's familial love for their brother or something, then that's going to push Kralsei into the "OH GOD YIKES" category and if you still ship them after that reveal, please don't interact.
Still, even the best case scenario for Kralsei is going to feel weird to me just because of Ralsei's connections to Asriel but again I'm withholding judgment until we know what Ralsei is. At best Kralsei's going to be kind of weird at worst it's going to be "OH GOD YIKES!" (and this isn't even taking into account Kris's whole possession situation and how that would impact their consent in any relationship seeing as were controlling them.)
(Footnote 03): Please tag your anti-ship posts as anti-[shipname], or I will likely block you, especially if you just tag the ship name.
I don't really care about shipping discourse and stuff (beyond the above "DNI if you ship yikes ships"), but please if you make anti-ship posts tag them as anti-[ship name here] (E.G "anti-dessriel" or "anti-suselle" or any anti-tag equivalent). If you don't and instead just use the normal ship tag I'll likely block you because I follow that tag for anything but anti-ship posts.
I don't care if you hate a ship that I love, (i may make posts defending a ship/debunking arguments against it without targeting anyone individually), but generally if you hate a relationship I love I don't care. I just don't want to see anti-suselle posts tagged with just "suselle" because I'm following that tag to see anything but anti-suselle content. Just do the basic thing and tag your anti-ship posts that's all I ask.
I used to be pretty loose with blocks, and prefer to only do that in extreme circumstances (basically only if like, p*rn bots, explicit NSFW blogs with untagged nudity, blogs with "yikes ships" who interact with me, or blogs run by TERFs and other phobic weirdos) and I honestly want to stay that way, but inadequate tagging is a new block-able offense.
Return to my introduction here.

im so deeply curious on how you wish su couldve ended. genuinely i would love to hear ur thoughts
oh good god. kendra if literally anyone else on the planet had sent me this ask i would have assumed they were heckling me. this is like diffusing a bomb.
okay. so i haven't watched the show in a long time, like literally since it was airing, and i never rewatched. so if i were going to have a specific Better Ending in mind, i would have to rewatch the whole show first to get reacquainted with all the lore. BUT.
mostly, i just would have liked the show to have had more time. rebecca sugar and the crew took a massive risk on the gay wedding, and they understood that the show could have been cancelled right there. and that basically happened. their priorities were what they were. they wanted it that badly. i get that. but, obviously, the ending was very rushed.
su has a lot of flaws, but one of the things they actually did very well was having characters who were complex people who evolved naturally over time. except for when they didn't do that. i thought the diamonds, all of them but especially white and yellow, had very bad arcs. their development was so fast it was almost instantaneous. they were built up for so long over the course of the series, and the stakes with them were super high. i didn't think their changes of heart were very realistic. it didn't make enough sense for who they were as people. and it all just happened so, so quickly. it just fell flat to me, and it felt unearned and insincere.
i also didn't like how the finale just kind of threw in all the loose ends for no reason. every remaining steven fusion, just like...... was there. even though in previous episodes, those would have been earned by exploring the relationships between the characters in a meaningful way. but, whatever. chuck them in, who cares, the show is cancelled. ugh.
and beyond the finale itself, i just didn't really like how certain characters were written towards the end? peridot became like, dumb comic relief when honestly her redemption arc was one of the best things the writers pulled off on the show. they just constantly beat rose quartz's corpse as well, which....... started out as a deconstruction of her image as a Perfect Sacrificial Hero. which i liked. i like rose. i like that she's this bizarre antihero who simultaneously saved the whole planet but also (unintentionally?) imploded everything around her. everyone on the show has a complicated relationship with her and her memory, and that's a good thing! but in the later seasons, we almost exclusively see her in a negative light, even compared to characters like the other diamonds who did WAY worse things and DIDN'T try to grow or change. the way her story was told just gave off the impression that she was a complete fraud, liar, and manipulator the entire time. which, in my opinion, she wasn't! she changed and grew profoundly over time, much like literally every other character. i just would have liked much more closure for rose's story, rather than using her for endless angst fuel when she's the only character who cannot speak for herself. but whatever. whatever!
final gripe: a lot of plus size women (including me before i figured out i was trans) found a lot of joy in rose quartz over the first couple seasons. she was this beautiful, powerful, beloved character who was fat. i saw a loooooot of posts back in the day about how grateful people were to see her on screen. and i'm not going to say that she should have remained one-dimensional or that making her complicated was wrong. but having her turn into The Devil Of The Show just...... hits me kinda wrong. i wouldn't go as far as to say it's bigoted or anything, but it just makes me sad. it's like giving a kid their first and only toy, only to reveal that the toy is full of spiders. like, ouch.
#good lord this is incoherent. enjoy#i might actually rewatch the whole series someday and come up with an actual opinion. who knows#filler tag#do filler tags even work anymore#if this shows up in the main tag no it didn't#su#also i'm not even TOUCHING all the Discourse Topics with this. do not assume i'm defending xyz wack thing in su#this is literally just about it As A Show

I absolutely adore Ordinary Time--frankly to my own surprise -- Twi-world without Bella and Esme!?!? And yet--its outstanding.
I'd like to hear a bit about Charlie in this world. Do they keep in touch with him. How did they (assuming they did) keep Renesme and him in touch? I would expect E and C to take the poor man's feelings into consideration as he lost his only child and then his granddaughter appears to have been somewhat removed from him in this universe.
Thanks kindly!
This made my month! Honestly Ordinary Time/Kairos is the fic I most write for me--it's just me revisiting one of my favorite incarnations of these characters, kind of when I feel like it, and loosely in line with another thing I enjoy, which is being a SCOTUS wonk. When I started writing Twific so many years ago now, I was living in Washington and it's hard not to get swept up into at least some of the discourse around the political scene when your commute gets disrupted by the vice president's motorcade every day. It's just part of your life. So I am always truly tickled pink that other people want to read about this thing that is basically me just splashing around in the water with my favorite vampires and my favorite topics.
And this is a great question! One which I have not needed to fully flesh out yet just because the fic itself is such short snippets of life and so I haven't put it in.
But yes, Renesmee would absolutely be in touch with Charlie in this story. I've chosen (even though I don't love it!) to follow SMeyer's intention with the imprint and that means that she is spending no small amount of time with the tribe. Her choice to go back to Washington state for medical school also puts her closer to that part of her life.
How I would bet it plays out--during her childhood, she spent time with Charlie the way Bella did; a few weeks at a time in the summers. In the Kairos universe Carlisle and Edward have gotten a lot wiser to the impact of their presence on the tribe; in the most recent chapter they decide to stay south of San Francisco to stay not only off Quileute lands but off all Salish lands altogether. So I don't think they go to Forks for more than just an afternoon here and there. But they trust Sue and they like Charlie, and letting Rene spend time with him also gives them some—ahem—alone time.
Does Charlie spend a lot of time with them? Probably not, for a couple reasons. One, no matter how you slice it, Edward was the beginning of the downward spiral that led to Charlie losing Bella several times over. That's not something that's easy to work through, and no matter how much he wants to, he's married to a chief elder of the tribe and knows a lot more about them than he ever wanted to. It’s not easy for him to not be mad; it’s not easy for Edward to accept forgiveness anyway. So theirs is not the smoothest of relationships.
And two, let's face it, Carlisle/Edward in this scenario is...difficult. One thing I'm trying not to do in this AU is make it like everyone just went, "Oh okay I guess they should get their HEA," or that they went "Yeah everything about who we were to each other before is just gone, let's fuck." Their relationship here exists in this very both/and kind of state that not everyone is equally comfortable with (and that they are not always completely comfortable with!)
Charlie, being a native of the very, very small Forks, WA, probably took a long time to get around to, "Oh okay, I know gay people and they are okay people" and so quickly extending that still nascent acceptance to "My daughter's widower is now partnered to the guy I knew as his dad" is likely just...hard. So they keep it cordial and superficial, and Renesmee has her own special relationship with Charlie that doesn't have much to do with her dads and that works well for all of them. He was there at her graduations; he’ll be there at her wedding. Forks is an important place to her because it was where her mom lived, and she enjoys exploring it and hiking there and sitting in a fishing boat there and eating at its quirky handful of restaurants much more than Bella ever did. And she gets to learn all sorts of things about her mom that Edward never had time to learn, so she loves spending time with him.
And despite the general “this is weird”ness of their relationship, my other post-saga Charlie-Carlisle headcanon holds in this universe, too: that occasionally, while Rene is up visiting Jake, Carlisle comes over to watch football or baseball and Charlie enjoys finally having a son in law who cares as much as he does about ball games.
Thank you for the compliment and the ask! Might be a good chapter to add to “Always,” we’ll see.

why is it that every time you dislike a take you turn it into something about bigotry? sometimes people aren't being classist theyre talking about the media literacy that most of the target age of this fandom is in should. start to have. idk it seems concerning to me that you feel the need to dig for points of potential bigotry whenever you don't like something! xoxo please fucking touch grass ^_^
I am going to engage w/ this in good faith bc I have already yelled for a bit and I'm not in the worst mood yay! Unfortunately this means this got, ofc, stupid fucking long. Srry jhfdskjf tl;dr at the bottom
This is not true actually! I talk abt takes I dislike All the time that have nothing to do with bigotry jhfsajhjhkdfhsgf like. I think it might be skewed on here bc I will often keep it in the Discord if I think it's unimportant, but I guarantee to you there are so many takes I do not like that are not bigotry related lmao
If you'd like to address my points further I gen would like to hear it but I've already explained here and here why specifically I think the topic du jour of the night is classist. I very much appreciate the problem you're bringing up of trying to justify dislike via bigotry, and of using accusations of bigotry in places they don't belong. This is why I make sure to support my claims when I make them, like I do in the linked posts
If you would like to address and contest those points/prove my reading is wrong go ahead. I'm open to being proven wrong here. Unfortunately what I am getting (in, hysterically, an exact redux of the knftrck discourse) is "this isn't [x]." "Okay but it is; here is where it functions as [x] here, here, and here, regardless of claimed intent" "Weren't you listening it isn't [x]"
I understand this may also be referring to here? Which is a musing on prescriptivism in general, which. Yeah is a product of bigotry. We live in bigoted societies. While it's true calling bigotry isn't always productive it is naive to assume that because a situation is suitably lighthearted bigotry doesn't exist in it I think this reaction is partially bc of the Immediate reaction to prove that OP of the post I responded to Could Never Be A Classist because my reply implied more condemnation than perhaps would've been productive and that was probably a mistake on my part. Honestly I should've probably opened with a brief explanation instead of just the snap
However. I saw and responded bc this was an evident point and people I know were hurt. People to whom academia is not accessible Read Posts Sometimes. I have yet to see a compelling counterargument for why this was not prescriptivism, which is a trapping of bigotry, as it is a symptom and a tool of enforcement of social hierarchy
When you live in a fucked up society your opinions are gonna be fucked up dude and even if you don't mean your posts that way if they get seen without context and can be interpretable without context as cringe you are still responsible for that fallout
Example w/ myself (including Subtle Societal Bigotry): back when the beeduo meetup first happened and we got 2 see Ranboo play Wii sports on irl stream I was one of the people who got unreasonably hype to see a streamer I frequently relate to /parasocial get to move around with enthusiasm and vibe. At the time I rbed and partook in several posts/jokes/comparisons about it, largely bc I saw myself/my ideal self in that and was pretty delighted
However, people I knew with things like joint conditions and also wiggles pointed out that several of those posts/that genre were tokenizing and sometimes straight up dehumanizing. It wasn't something I'd realized before and certainly not my intent (even in like, the didn't-realize-I-was-thinking-it way (which has also happened)); however, that didn't change the fact that my blogging that day had been alienating and functionally ableist (yes, ableist! Bigoted!). Recontextualized and looking at them more critically, I saw the point, deleted the relevant posts, and apologized. (I think the apology is still on my blog tho I can't remember the keywords to look for it so)
Like idk I probably was not clear (especially bc I was mad about other things too lmao) but the point when I call shit is not and never has been to #Cancel The Person Forever. When I call shit, and/or endorse calling shit, it's a call for something to be rectified
Both on this issue in particular and with the above point in general I try to make my intent and statement violently clear every time, though apparently I have not succeeded; I would be open to feedback here I'm kind of at a loss. Genuinely where am I unclear because evidently I am losing people somewhere
TL;DR: - I don't do that actually tho I do appreciate why you may think this - I do talk abt bigotry a nonzero amount and that's because bigotry is pervasive - We all live in a society no one is immune to it - When I call shit/when I made this response in particular it is because I see a legitimate problem and I think it needs to be corrected - In this case and in a lot tbh the issue is prescriptivism - I appreciate that intent and impact aren't the same thing but impact cannot be handwaved away by intent
#the thing is anon. That we live in a society#and what we do is influenced by society#and when those societies in which we live are fundamentally bigoted what we do will inevitably be influenced by bigotry#ask to tag#ask in general tbh. Anywhere here I was unclear

Getting whiplash going through your feed lmfaoo
People learn new words and suddenly try applying it to themselves and other situations, and usually they’re lying or have no idea what it really means. Happened with feminist, then misogyny, now grooming and gaslighting. I hate assuming they’re lying but how can’t I when a bunch of others have proven to lie on these serious topics?
Whoever that random, idia obsessed 12yo is sounds like an attention-craving child, I said what I said 🤷♀️ making an account to “call out” nsfw writers for…writing? Clearly someone is bored bc not only did they take the time to read the works, but also to comment on it. NOT TO MENTION! The kid oh so clearly stated in main that they’re in 8th grade… Oh I see how it is? It’s a big no-no for adults to write nsfw for “minors” but it’s a-okay for the fetuses to read nsfw and telling all how they want to be railed by…the very same characters that wouldn’t even want anything to do with them because the babies are, say it with me now, MINORS?! Seems like we’ve come full circle in this stupidity and madness.
Tell your napping anon to relax, I’m still thinking about that Leona post 😭 now Jack?!
AND EPEL?! WITH CHUBBY MC?! Stop it, my brain can’t take this anymoreee. Epel is such a mystery to me still but now I gotta search through his fic tags
That random kid actually annoyed me. How dare they try silencing works of the very writers who they probably get off on, screaming and kicking the air as they read under their blankets?? Praying they don’t wake up dear mommy or daddy 🙄 I was in 8th grade, I know what tf goes on. Y’all not innocent nor slick!! And 100% not better than adults. Y’all still have to ask to eat at McDonald’s, don’t play. Hell most of y’all just stopped having snack time and recess!!
(…I am the oldest and constantly have to assert my dominance over the lil minions, don’t judge me lol. “Why can’t we have subway” “do you..have the money?” “…” “no? Cuz l do, hah! Remember that next time you wanna be disrespectful <3”)
OH MY LOVE!! I'M SO SORRY! YOU'RE JUST SCROLLING THROUGH SEEING ALL THESE DISCOURSE ONLY TO GET SLAPPED WITH JACK BEING PUSSY DRUNK AND EPEL GOING ALL LOVEY DOVEY WITH HIS CHUBBY S/O 😭😭
SOMETIMES KIDS WHEN THEY READ THINGS AND WHEN THINGS HAPPEN TO JUST ALIGN BY COINCIDENCE, THEY'RE GOING TO BE ALL " IT'S ______!! " TALK ABOUT EXTREME SELF - DIAGNOSIS 🥺🥺
IT'S IRONIC THAT THEY SAY ADULTS CAN'T TOUCH MINORS BUT WOWIE, LOOK AT YOU! YOU'RE JUST GOING OUT YOUR WAY TO BARK AT A CHARACTER WHO'S AGE IS 'CANONLY' AN ADULT. CLOWNERY BEHAVIOR CONFIRMED
OTHER THAN THAT, MY OH MY! MY NAPPING DARLING! LOOKS LIKE YOU'RE WANTED BY THIS DARLING OF MINE! WHY NOT HAVE ALL OF THE SAVANACLAW BOYS STUCK IN YOUR HEAD, HMM? IT'S MORE FAIR FOR THEM TO STAY RENT FREE IN YOUR HEAD, MY DEAR
THE LAST BIT IS RELATABLE BUT I CAN'T BE MAD AT THEM SINCE THEY'RE STILL A KID BUT THEN AGAIN, SOME KIDS DESERVE TO GET DISCIPLINE AT SOME POINT SO I'M HOPING THAT THEIR PARENT ARE GOING TO DO US FAVOUR BY WHOOPING THEIR ASSES TO THE MOON. MINE DID AND I'M PRETTY SURE I WON'T BE AS A SPOILED BRAT AS I DID WHEN I WAS YOUNGER
