it's just so different to how I saw it, in all aspects. For ex I still struggled with the Porter's scene, though liked it better filmed than in the Donmar (I heard it worked much better in the Pinter). And Porter is like the only scene that "brought magic" in the whole play for this viewer... Always surprises me how differently people can see the same thing, esp when it comes to art

i skim read this ask and opened the link kind of thinking it would be some right winger mad at how diverse the cast is or something but it wasn't that at all lol i just feel like this person just has a particular set vision of the play that didn't line up w max webster's take on it much. cush's lady macbeth is supposed to be more human and less, like, cold girlboss insane murder woman. but op likes lady macbeth as cold girlboss insane murder woman. which like .. fine i guess we can't all have good taste lol
