[SR] Vil Schoenheit - The Rose Festival

i said i'm going to try doing cards for the canon boys for my fan event (check it out if you haven't, it's very cool and fun if i get to say so myself!!). so of course, we're starting with Vil

one day i'll figure out a way to draw him that doesn't bring me immense amounts of pain and suffering <//3

(some ramblings about the design under the cut!)

he gets a dress because it's my event and i make the rules <3 also because i wanted to draw more pretty dresses. also also (and mostly) because i like making him and Rosienne be kind of opposites/contrast

next to my original sketch of this outfit i wrote "barbie movies ass dress". can't say if i still agree with this assesment. or if this was meant to be a positive or a negative

i kind of kept the outfits from GloMas in mind while designing the outfits for my event, since well, we're still in France lmao. so that's mostly why i basically just kept the standard Pomefiore color theme

another reason is just that with the blue and Rosienne's yellow coat, they're kind of giving Belle and the Beast which i think is very cute <3

also kept the sleeve shape from the Pom dorm uniform because they're cool. so what. sue me

yes, the gold details are also just the patterns from the Pom dorm uniform. i suck at patterns alright. and also i thought since i'm already kind of making a variation on the dorm uniform, it would be fun to include. and yes, re-drawing them took me a normal amount of time, don't you ever worry about it

but i still wanted to keep up with the rose theme, so besides the rose on his choker, the red fabric on his waist is meant to kind of resemble rose petals

the rose umbrella may be a little silly but hey, this is sillyland, we embrace silly in this household (don't ask me how it would work when opened. i. didn't want to think about it)
