Like okay. I GET that the fandom doesn’t like AB 2009, but I would pay real actual money for there to be a tie-in comic where newly-not-terrible-father and general stuffy prick Dr. Tenma tries to get along with Astro’s new friends, a large group of half-feral children who were being (and I use this term VERY loosely) raised by fucking HAMEGG. I need to see it. 

I think he’d kinda try but his heart wouldn’t be in it until he finds out Zane can’t even fucking read. I think that would break him, just a little bit. Realizing the disparity between the lives they lived would knock some sense into him.

Also Elefun is, undoubtedly, Tenma’s go-to advisor for this stuff. Elefun buys ice cream for the horrible gremlin children. Elefun is the first adult these kids learn to trust after the Hamegg incident. Elefun is honorary Fun Uncle to a pack of wild children and he has photos of them hanging on his wall and suddenly feels Very Old And Tired when he sees a little girl running around with a chainsaw.

It’d be both funny AND heartwrenching
