How are you?

Busy, unfortunately!! Started college not too long ago, and all that - won't bore anyone with the details, though!! Sorry if I worried anyone with all the silence - I didn't even realize how long it's been! Wow!

Few things!!

1. HOLY HELL WE'RE AT 3K FOLLOWERS???? ALREADY???

I'VE BEEN TRYING TO CATCH UP AND COME UP WITH SPECIALS BUT OH MY GOD... There are so many of you!! And you all come in so fast!! It actually breaks my heart a little only because I haven't shown my best yet (or definitely feel like I haven't), which will definitely change! You guys deserve so much better! Though I'm still unsure what to do for specials... so ideas would be nice! I'd like to also do some late ones- since you guys 100% deserve it, and they're still milestones!! Though for 3k, I'll do something in the spirit of Halloween!... or fall if I'm late again- 😅

Regardless! I'm so happy for all the support!! It really is something that so many people see my posts, no matter how old, and interact with them! It's overwhelming, honestly, but I deeply appreciate it! Even more so when I have a habit of going to get the milk for a while, before coming back with a few cookies - LOL!

2. I've been seeing that my work has inspired a lot of people to make their own stuff, and it's super endearing and heartwarming!!! Really, even if I don't really comment and only interact with the posts on my main account, I still see them! And I love them!!! I'm honestly really surprised how much the Not [ ] Series has inspired others or served as inspiration for their work. It baffles me but I'm also really glad I was able to do that for someone! It's still insane, especially since I really don't see the series as my best work by a long shot, but I do still really admire and appreciate how people still took inspiration from it :]

To which, yes! I do read all of the works people tag me in LOL! I may not say much! But I do see it!! You're all amazing writers and I can't wait to see what you all make in the future!!

3. I will definitely try to catch up on asks! There have been a lot of them - which I'm very happy to see! So now that I have some time, I'll start to tackle them! I have a break coming up, so if not now, then definitely then! So, soon!

4. YES. CHAPTER 4 IS IN THE WORKS!! I doubt it'll be longer than 3 - I learned a lot during that, and I plan to not repeat my mistakes and take what I've learned. Though we'll see how it goes in actual execution!! I already forget what I've said on that end, and thanks to time I have made a few adjustments to the original plan, though the ending remains the same! Very... eventful!!

5. I AM TRYING TO GET A NEW SERIES OUT!! Because damn it do you guys deserve some quality on this blog!!! I'm not the best writer, obviously, but again, the Not [ ] is a farcry from what I can really produce, and even if I view it as a taste of what's to come - still!! Been also thinking of making it one of the romantic stories I had planned (seeing as a lot of platonic stuff has come out, which is cute!), but we'll see! 'Waiting' Reader has been on my mind... I'll say that much! Though maybe don't hold your breath...?

Overall, a little tired as usual, but glad to be back, and really kick start writing again! 💛... I say, at 5:30 am, like every great author!

firstly, chapter 28:

Hazelle doesn’t go home. She goes to the only place she can think of and lets herself inside. 

When she finds him leant against the kitchen counter, eating oatmeal, he greets her with a very bemused look.

“Sure, come on in,” says Haymitch, his mouth full, as she crosses the kitchen to him. She notes in a distant way that he’s in his underclothes. 

Facing him, Hazelle opens her mouth to tell him what happened - only to turn and vomit into his sink.

second, this new cut scene (kind of) I've spent the last two days working on, that details Haymitch's detox in D13 through medical and nursing notes... I'll try to make it more accessible before posting, but here's the first entry:

Triage Note, signed by Nurse Alara

Patient H.A. presented to triage with complaints of facial lacerations and trauma to the left eye. Pt stated, “Doesn’t matter how it happened. I just need it checked out.” Pt reported he was sent here upon arrival to D.13 via hovercraft.

Height: 5’10”. Weight: 201 lbs. 

Vital signs: T 37.1, HR 89, BP 149/82, RR 18, sO2 99% on room air

Left eye bloodshot and watering. Laceration noted to eyelid, with dried and oozing sanguineous drainage. Sclera intact. Vision intact and equal. Pupils equal and reactive.

Lacerations x 10 to bilateral face, from eyebrow to jaw. No active bleeding. Cleansed with antiseptic solution and sterile gauze. Butterfly bandages applied to 4 lacerations with deeper wound beds.

Followed up with Pt about hypertension. Pt stated, “We just started a war and my district is on fire.” Pt became impatient and expressed wanting to leave. Smell of alcohol noted to Pt’s breath. 

Belongings searched by security. Small bottle of spirits was found. Informed Pt of policy regarding prohibited substances. Alcohol confiscated per contraband protocol. 

Attempted to obtain a blood and urine sample but Pt refused. Pt arguing with security. Informed Pt of protocol for active alcohol abuse. Pt expressed disagreement with this. Notified Dr. Billmore. Orders for involuntary admission.

Total triage time: < 30 minutes.

third, the cut scene about Selene and Kennet, two 20-something year olds who meet in the Capitol during the war and end up at Haymitch's house after the boarding house fire:

The soldier lying in a heap on the pastel tiles is still onto holding his rifle. He stirs a little and swallows a groan, taking a second to come to in the dark. Selene steps back and checks their surroundings as she waits. It's clear but only for now. The Peacekeepers tend to flock to activated pods for survivors.

She knows better than to run away or hide now. He might be awake enough to hear her and assume the worst, and she’ll have a hard time explaining herself as it is, let alone with her back turned. 

Selene hasn't seen a rebel up close this whole time. He's thinner than she would have thought. She's heard all they eat in District Thirteen are little flavorless cubes that have what they need for the day - and more, if they enlist. But she also heard they ate cake, when Annie and Finnick got married. 

All Selene knows is heresay; she hasn't watched television for almost two years now, ever since the shop went bankrupt and her family couldn't keep her above ground anymore - the funds originally set aside to support her through University, gone like everything else.

lastly, the Alice cutscene, where we get an outsider perspective on Haymitch & Hazelle at a sewing circle, that's really more of a triangle:

"Anyway, sorry I'm late - and loud. My kids make me crazy. Should've just kept myself home."

"That'd be for the best," agrees Haymitch Abernathy.

Alice startles, sound and all.

He's sitting off to the side, in a way where he could see her enter before she could see him. For such an uninterested expression, his eyes pin her in place with a bright, needle-like gaze, as though he can read her next move but no matter what it is, it'll bore him.

Which is probably true, because Alice has always thought herself more of a lover than a fighter - or a runner - but that's neither here nor there.

She intends to say hello but what comes out of her mouth is, "Since when do you sew?"

"Since my mom taught me," Haymitch answers, not bothering to look up again from the scrap blanket in his lap. Even from the door, Alice can see the white thread that marches along its seams, replacing what's been pin-basted together.

He did answer her question but she's not any less confused.

Long winded rant of me talking about NSB, doing a new series, storytelling and whatever else I talked about under the cut, feel free to read it's just me rambling, I don't really care if ppl read it or not it's VERY long 😭

I've been painfully itching to start a new series, I know I'm doing NSB rn, and I do plan to at least finish the normal NSB legacy (up to Gen 9), although I might finish or take a break at around Gen 5 or 6, just because I don't wanna lose motivation and also because it takes A LOT to make some of these posts (for example, the last NSB post... took a lot out of me), and I'm only on Gen 2, almost Gen 3 rn, and I was originally planning to do all 30 or 40 Gens in the updated ver of NSB, which def doesn't seem like it'll be happening right now, because at the current rate at which I post, and how fast things in my game move, Sims 6 will be out before I even finish Gen 30 😭😭

Anyways, I don't know what the series would be about, if I were to do a new series, it would definitely be a lot more story based, if not completely story based, I don't know if I'd do/include gameplay, but I really wanna dive into more storytelling and setting up scenes, I'm not a film or theatre kid by any means, and I really don't know much about writing and setting up scenes and stuff, to be honest, i don't even know how I storytell, I guess it's just regurgitated content molded to shape the statue of my story if that makes sense lmao, I guess it's also the art of using so many fucking metaphors and similes that doing something like comparing love to drowning in a cold ocean comes sorta easy to me? I'm not grammatically inclined and don't know a lot about punctuation, my teachers all kinda gave up on me in English class, so all of my writing is basically self taught, which I guess is the case for a lot of things I do- I feel like starting a new series would help me learn how to write better, even though it seems like a lot of ppl love my writing, I still feel like I could improve so much and do so much better. I already have a couple ideas in mind for a new series, I don't think I'll say much rn just in case I decide to make them a series, but as for right now, I've got plans for Gen 3 NSB (aka Calico), and if I were to start a new series, I would not stop playing NSB, but due to how I function and shit, I would have to put NSB on hiatus, I kind of have a hard time doing two stories at once, hence why Sharkie's story got put on hiatus, because it was too stressful for me to double up, especially with how often I post (at least 3 or 4 times a week), I would like to go back and play Sharkies story and share her story up to this point where I last played her, her story is a lot more gameplay centered (for example, I am more inclined to make a blender scene for NSB, then Sharkie, for Sharkie, I'd do stuff like go to the bar and see how it plays out and take screenshots and just edit those) which I like more, but that's not to say I don't enjoy NSB, because I equally LOVE storytelling as I do gameplay.

While writing this, I did think of something I could do, which would be posting NSB every other week (so one week I do Sharkie or some other series and then the next week I do NSB, then a diff series, so on so forth), the only problem is that usually when I get an idea, and I finish that idea, I like to post it asap, I'm not good at scheduling posts lmao, but it might be worth it if people want to see another series (that is if anyone is still reading up to this point lol), I'd like to channel my storytelling into a more story based save/story, but idk! I'm just kinda doing my thing rn and I'm at a point where i wanna do something different. I especially wanna start doing more in blender, it just takes fucking forever to do some of the stuff I wanna do, and some of it means learning new stuff which is thrice as hard and takes thrice as long compared to normal posing and stuff 😭

Shin. He is my hiperfixation from yttd, (un)fortunately and has been for so long now. He just fits with all the other characters that are my favourite perfectly. He is mean, angry, scared, is repressing his true emotions, really cares for others he loves and is pretty... And at the beginning I found him so annoying. My type is really specific, I guess

💖Which character in yttd do you think you would be friends with?

Nao, Reko and Anzu, I think! I, maybe, would also be able to befriend Kanna and Gin. I just think they are so so soooo cool (especially Reko) and it is kinda my wishful thinking that I would be friends with them.

We have a lot in common! I am an artist, love music, jesters, cats and, uhhh, buckets? Lol, a match made in heaven, am I right or am I right?

🤝Which character in yttd would you trust the most?

Mishima. He just looks like a really reliable adult that I can trust. He is a little eccentric, but I love weird friends. He showed in the game he is a really good person and wants others to find comfort in him. But also I think maybe Reko. She also is really reliable and is really good with kids. Really gentle but also sharp

🗝Do you think you would pass your first trial?

I like to think that yes. But it depends on what my First Trial would look like tbh

If I was with one of the ones I love and care about, like Sara and Kanna were, then I am positive we would live. We would work together and get out. And if I was in one similar to Q-taro's or Shin's then I would also survive. The games were individual and, I think, easy enough

If I was in a game like Keiji had or like Alice, where I would be with someone that holds a grudge/I am dependent on the someone I am with, then it really depends on the person if I live or not...

Dunno if I would survive any of the Trials of the Dummies, If I'm being honest. They look bad and we don't really know much about them

🪓If you could design a first trial, what would you do?

I am really not sure. I usually take inspiration from different death games like Alice in Borderland, Saw, Squid games or any other thing where people must try to survive. BUT. I also have my Purgatory Trials au and I have some fanfic ideas from AiB so I can cheat a little and say some here (not a lot)

One is a Trial of Aletheia — participants make groups (4 people) and have to say truths about themselves. If the secrets are bigger then there is more points. If someone lies or tells half-truth, then points are taken away. If the points limit isn't met in 30/45 minutes then the whole group dies

Other ideas are just kid games, Hide and Seek where participants must hide from the Seekers but also find some objects. Rock, Paper, Scissors as one of the easiest but also really random. Or a game of Wolves and Sheep (or Mafia) with Wolves attacking at night and Sheep must figure out who are the Wolves before all of them die.

I know, not really original, but sometimes easy is key for interesting takes

👔Who is your favorite floormaster?

I think Miley. I really like her redesign and role in the game. I also didn't like her that much at the beginning, but with time I fell in love with this character. I can't wait to see what she will do in the final! Because I am sure we will see her again

Honorable mention: Maple. She isn't a Floormaster but I love her dearly. She deserves the best and she really was something interesting and nice in chapter 3

🃏Which card would you most want to have in a Main Game?

Keymaster I think is the most save cad, even if it is really weird to say. Then they can't pick me as all of them will die. The situation isn't comfortable as there is a chance they won't believe it but usually people decide to not play with fire. So Keymaster is the immunity in the game

Sacrifice is horrible because you have to be picked to survive and then only you and the one other person are safe. Sage and Commoners are safe choices to pick to die. Maybe as the Sage you know who the Keymaster is, but they still can die. With commoners is the same, they just don't have anything important going on with their roles

🍀What do you think your win % would be?

Something below 10% for sure. I would die so hard during Attractions. Like, it is possible I survive but also things happen, you know?

💭What is your favorite yttd AU idea?

I will be really self centric with this one but I really like my Your Turn To Live. It is nothing revolutionary or wow, I know there are so many aus like that, because it is simple and good. I just love the idea of some guys escaping and trying to live on. Mine favourite is Logic Route Escape with Shin, Sara, Gin and Keiji. But I love also seeing ones with Kanna and Reko/Alice

🪆If you could replace your limbs with doll parts like Sou, would you?

It would be really tempting as I am not really loving my body. But in the end, I think I would not if it was not necessary

I stayed with the original, Midori. But while playing with @avopumpkin we decided to name him Chuj — a polish word for "Dick" but it can also be translated as "piece of shit". It was splendid and really funny for us lol

Looks like I was right all along: NCO was 14 when his parents died, and he's in his 30s (32 as of RS, and 29 in BI).

Wait, he went to Victoria only a year later?! At age 15?! Wow, based on his comments during the BI flashback about waiting for Enya & Ensia to grow up, I'd thought he'd stayed in Kjerag longer before leaving... explains why he looks so young in the manga now.

And it makes sense that he stayed in Victoria an extra year to set up trade routes etc with all the deals they made at the Harvest Ball before going back to Kjerag.

(Trio lived together for a year—sorry what)

So if NCO went to Victoria at age 15 and met Gnosis again a time later (we know they spent 4 years together), now we know why their reunion was so dramatic: THEY WERE MELODRAMATIC TEENAGERS LOL

The part I was wrong about was NCO and NCS being apart for 4 years. Counting the last year in Victoria post-Ball as one of the 4 years they spent together, they were apart for 3 years. Makes a nice parallel with the 3 years between BI and RS.

(Though they weren't apart the same way since NCO becomes an operator post-BI as well, but I think we can safely say Gnosis was away from Kjerag for 3 years.) Also, Degen being with them since the age of 21 explains very well why she's protective of her kitty.

Another reason NCO & co may have remained in Victoria a year longer is for Gnosis to finish his degree, come to think of it (unlike NCO himself).

Masterfully done music, esp reinvented themes for change

incredible animations, gives each character so much personality

great story telling - best visual novel for length, story, interest, etc

chronicles has its own achievements - encourages replayability

great pacing and saving - east to pick up and set down

amazing foreshadowing - whole series planned together

incredible balance of comedy and tragedy

takes preexisting stories and tropes and masterfully retells them

Summary:

I'm afraid I won't have enough room to describe how much I love this game. I don't even know where to start :'). This game is a masterpiece of masterpieces. Easily comparable to FMAB in terms of incredible storytelling, foreshadowing, mystery, tragedy, comedy, score, design, you name it. I have never genuinely been so shocked by the surprises in this game, but they were all so well made and fit in the story seamlessly. The tragedy and comedy, the two most important aspects of a story to me, were not only very well balanced, but were used as expert emotional devices throughout the game. The character design is incredible. Small details such as Ryuu's arm brace or Enoch's mechanisms or Iris's dolls add such character and personality even if some of these details aren't plot relevant. Each character has a unique body type, face shape, facial features, etc that it is easy to identify each character without their hair or clothes. The deigns are also so brilliant that it even taught me how to not only draw older people and children, but to be able to distinguish between teenagers and 20-30 year olds in my art (instead of all looking the same age). The animations are beautiful and so ridiculous. I always looked forward to interacting with Herlock and the witnesses. These games also have one of my favorite scores, especially the way they are able to turn established themes on their heads. The music does an amazing job at establishing setting, character, tension, emotion, you name it. Now for the story telling. Holy fucking shit. Holy shit. You don't even realize how important every small is until it hits you in the face. This is a story that will rival my 1st place spot of FMAB [in terms of all media]. It is so beautifully designed and thought over that I can only say the writers at Capcom are true geniuses to make this story. It doesn't hold back any punches but also comforts you. It toys with your emotions and is smth almost evil, but it also gives you hope and confidence and lifts you up so that you can scream to the world. The key to this is Ryuu. He's no avatar like Link but you and him share a strong bond through shared experience. It was an ingenious move to have the first story be Ryuu accused of murder, you learn the hardest way possible how to become a defense attorney of true integrity. His relations to others is this game is incredible too. The betrayal, the longing, the tenderness. Him and Susato have an incredible "sibling" bond to where I truly felt anxious without her. Not to mention Kazuma. A human through and through. Once thought to be the righteous angel, he had later fallen from heaven just to learn the truth of who he and his father really are. Even as the game has ended, I still sit and contemplate on these characters. Although it was the right decision for Kazuma to stay, I am still in pain from their separation. I really wish I could say more but it's also hard to put into words all my feelings with so little space. If I could forget this game just to experience it again, I would. An outstanding work of art. I highly recommend. My new favorite game.

2. Where do you get your fic ideas?

It depends on what I'm currently consuming, with the exception of already-written fanfic. BUT most of the time those concepts need to be fleshed out, and most of the time I hear a good, REALLY good song lyric that can deepen the concept, or think about it WAY TOO LONG in the shower or when I'm sleeping. its... a hit or miss of ideas basically 😭

4. How do you choose which fics to write?

oh boy okay so. this is a bit embarrassing but because I have so many WIPS I have to use spin the wheel to see choose, especially since idk what to write. but if I'm lowkey inspired with one of my fics, then i'd choose that fic immediately! if I get tired, I'll move on to another one!

5. How many wips do you have? what fandoms/pairings are they for?

i have 4 current wips im actively writing right now. two are for demon slayer with no pairings involved, and two is for solarballs: one is the Jupiter x Uranus fic, and the other is my Jupiter & Sun fic that I'm still going over because IT'S A PAIN TO WRITE. then there's a new brainworm in my head, basically Uranus x Planet X and their relationship, and a Vercury one-shot where the pair have the worst sexual tension ever

preferably during the process. fun fact, take on me is named "toxic earth and mars yaoi yippee" in my gdocs and its the funniest shit ever. some fics that are based off song lyrics are already prepared, while some I have to create titles out my ass for (e.g: ganymede's one shot, earth going evil)

uh. probably descriptions? or figurative speech. i haven't done purple prose in a while but I also think I am good at writing that :P

FIGHT SCENES!!! also, writing unreliable narrators and showing different points of views, along with ambiguous characters!!! and dialogue because god most of it sounds like I try way too hard

if it's a one-shot, i go over it once, decided it's good enough, and post it. if it's like, a multi-chapter/ or beyond 10k words that's where I genuinely try and look for mistakes. because I might contradict myself two pages in 😭

Events from my dream in whatever order I remember them (not even remotely chronological order)

this is definitely because in the Arthurian legend I was reading last night King Arthur is attacking Rome.

"I (not me)" signifies that I was in the shoes of a character and didn't actually have control over the events, as opposed to when I'm lucid dreaming and do and say whatever I want. I am in no way a princess lol.

There had apparently been some TV show about ancient Rome that lasted for 30 seasons, then later had a spinoff that lasted for 16. Everyone hated fans of the show because it was every kind of bigotry under the sun. Fans of the show were rioting that the spinoff had ended.

A bunch of Actual Roman Soldiers had raided a castle and were trying to enslave everyone. A bunch of women had been locked up near the armory and escaped and armed themselves and started attacking the soldiers.

I (not me) was a noble lady of that castle and had a giant wolf for a mount rather than a horse, and so did some guy who might have been a dragon? it wasn't clear. We got on our wolves, who we had soul bonds with, and ran out of the castle by jumping off the roof (the wolves were magical and didn't take falling damage I guess) and ran to get help from some tiny people who lived in the forest nearby. On the way there me and the guy got separated somehow. possibly he died. IDK. Anyways he was supposed to be there to greet the tiny people as "the War King".

So when I (not me) got there wearing the same kind of armour they thought I (not me) was him and were like "War King!!!! You're back!!! How's it been!!! Long time no see!!!!!" and I (not me) had to be like, "Well....uh,,,,, War Princess is a bit closer...." and took off my helmet and explained the situation. They decided they would help even thought I (not me) wasn't the friend they'd been expecting.

On the way there while riding the wolf mount I kept almost flying off because the saddle wasn't very well built and every time he jumped it was like a roller coaster. He definitely had a name but I don't remember it. He was very pretty. Definitely more dog coat colors than wolf. Dragon-guy's wolf was black with silver speckles. I don't remember either of their names either.

The only person whose name I remember was Cinderella, who was also called Sentinel and Segregation. She had been captured by, and I'm not joking, Joe Biden and Kamala Harris and they had been using her to brainwash people into Voting Blue No Matter Who.

I (not me) the knight princess rescued her and blew up a whole bunch of evil robots and cars by throwing a crap ton of mines because the world suddenly had Fallout 4 mechanics.

Then Cinderella / Sentinel (who was only called Segregation when brainwashed as a code name so no one would realize she was a person) turned into a Barbie doll for some reason. Dragon-guy and his wolf came back from wherever they'd disappeared to and turned out to be my (not me)'s father? adoptive father maybe? Again, not sure.

SPADE x HUNTER Chronicles

The Hunter Exam Pt. 4

In case you don't come from the main post, hi. This is my attempt to fully insert my HxH S/I in the main story! Gotta thank my friends whose feedback has kept me motivated to continue writing and finally posting this work, because my original plan was to keep it to myself lol

January 8th OST: Koshitantan... 08:30 AM I had some breakfast with my team on the airship, nothing too special, I just grabbed myself some tea and cookies. Leorio got coffee, Kurapika some matcha-flavored things and Gon and Killua grabbed all sorts of sweets. Leorio asked me if I wanted some coffee too, because I looked tired, but I had to decline cause I cannot handle caffeine for shit.

09:00 AM

We finally got to Trick Tower! Our goal this time around was to climb down the tower before the time (72 hours) ran out, something pretty easy… that is if we could find a way to even get IN the tower. I started looking around with Gon and Killua, until I accidentally found a trapdoor and fell through it. But the two kids were unable to follow after me, and rushed to tell Kurapika and Leorio. Leorio was worried about me being on my own in such a place, and tried calling out to me and getting down from the same trapdoor as well, but he couldn’t do anything, and I could barely hear him through the thick stone ceiling. I’d fallen down into a dark room… and found out that my teammate for this section of the exam was the FUCKING needle guy who’s friends with Hisoka, examinee #301. He just looked at me as if he was ready to get rid of me right there and then, but before he could do anything, Lippo, the examiner for this session, spoke up and told us our path was the “Couple Puzzle” path, and to get through it, we needed to both wear bracelets and complete puzzles together. An extra rule was that if either of us died the other would also be disqualified, so my life was spared.

I attempted to communicate with the guy, but he just stared at me creepily. I KNEW I’d heard him talk before, but maybe he just felt okay talking with Hisoka… I tried not to judge, in case it was selective mutism? Anyway, we both used our bracelets and unlocked the door, allowing us to proceed.

OST: Mind Boggling Two-Choice Quiz 09:30 AM We entered our first puzzle room. It was an obstacle course suspended in the air! I started going for it, but Gittarackur stopped me for some reason, until I looked at his path and noticed that there were traps underneath some platforms; I could only see the traps on #301’s side, and he could only see mine, so we had to collaborate to get to the other side together. Sounds easy enough… if it weren’t for the fact that the guy refused to talk to me, so it took us way more time than needed. Still, we passed in 30 minutes and I tried high-fiving the man, but he left me hanging… guess he’s not much for celebration… awkward. The second room was a more proper brain teaser. We each needed to solve a tridimensional puzzle on the wall. It was really complex, but didn't require much communication to solve it, so it took us about an hour and a half to solve and gain access to the following room. Now this is where things got frustrating. The room was split by a glass pane, and we had to choose which side we would go to, without really knowing what we were supposed to do. I chose the left, and Gittarackur chose the right, and then the two paths got locked, so we couldn’t switch places anymore. And that’s the awful part. On my side of the glass I could see a puzzle I was supposed to solve, while on his side, as the speaker explained, he could see figurative instructions on how to solve the puzzle, which he was supposed to describe to me. He still wouldn’t talk to me, so… that was great. It basically meant I needed to solve the puzzle all by myself. As it turned out… It was incredibly tough, like- ten times harder than the one in the previous room, so after 6 hours of me trying to solve it on my own I got pissed off at #301 and blew up at him. The guy finally gave in and started helping me out, and three hours later we finally solved the puzzle and could proceed to the next and final room. It was a double fight against two inmates. We had to beat them and obtain two pieces of a riddle from them, and then put them together and solve it. I wanted to fight them fair and square, but Gittarackur had other plans as he killed both of them instantly and got both halves of the riddle.   ”I speak without a mouth And hear without ears. I have no body, But come alive with the wind. What am I?”

Again, #301 refused to communicate with me, so I was left alone for a while, but at least thanks to his stunt the fight had taken very little. It took me roughly 30 minutes to find an answer, we only had one chance for this, so I asked the guy if he thought my answer might’ve been right, he just nodded, which made me wonder if he’d solved the riddle on his own already and just kept the answer to himself. We both typed “Echo” in the keypads and the door finally opened, at which point it was just a straight tunnel to the exit room.

09:30 PM  We finally reached the goal after 12 hours, and we were respectively the second and third ones to get there. The first one was… HISOKA?! And the moment 301 saw him he spoke. Chatlog:

– [Gittarackur]: “Yo.”

[Spade]: “You- you TALK?!”

[Hisoka]: “Oh my, you look about ready to explode”

[Spade]: “No, no, I’m totally fine, definitely did NOT spend the last 12 hours trying to solve puzzles while Pinhead here refused to say a word to me-”

[Hisoka]: “Is that so? Hah, that’s cruel, even for you”

[Gittarackur]: “…”

[Spade]: “Ugh… oh well, at least we passed… wait, Hisoka, you’re injured?”

[Hisoka]: “Hm? Oh these? It’s nothing…”

[Spade]: “They look pretty deep though… who did this to you?”

[Hisoka]: “An old friend…”

[Spade]: “It… looks painful, I have some bandages in my bag, I could patch you up-”

[Hisoka]: “Aw you’re worried? That’s cute… there’s no need for that though, they don’t hurt at all” –

I couldn’t help but notice that Leorio, Gon, Killua and Kurapika were nowhere to be seen, but then again, they did give us 72 hours to finish Trick Tower, so it probably meant some paths were harder and longer than others… which meant that for now I was stuck with those two, and- Hanzo. Hisoka hadn’t asked me to fight yet, probably because he didn’t want anyone to interfere.

I used my chance to go and chat with Hanzo, because we’d never really spoken before, and I wasn’t sure I could survive just talking to Hisoka and Gittarackur for two days straight. Chatlog:

– [Spade]: “Hey uh… can I sit here?”

[Hanzo]: “Oh? Sure! I don’t think we’ve properly talked yet. It's nice to meet you, I’m Hanzo, and don't tell this to anyone, but I’m actually a ninja!”

[Spade]: “Ah, that’s cool! I’m Spade”

[Hanzo]: “Say, Spade… I saw you getting through that door with #301, that dude seriously gives me the creeps! Such a nasty murderous aura”

[Spade]: “You can tell?”

[Hanzo]: “Well, yeah, it’s pretty easy, still, kudos to you for surviving half a day with that guy-”

[Spade]: “Honestly it wasn’t THAT bad… if we ignore the fact he didn’t speak a word to me for 12 hours-”

[Hanzo]: “SERIOUSLY?! That’s somehow even creepier, you have a very strong spirit, that would have driven me crazy”

[Spade]: “Aha… yeah, but it’s done now, I’d still be stuck inside the tower if it weren’t for him, so I forgive him… anyway so… back in phase 2 you mentioned sushi was a dish from your home country, where do you come from exactly?”

[Hanzo]: “Heh, just a small island called Jappon, it’s pretty far from here actually, I traveled a whole week to get to Zaban! I miss my hometown already, I want to get a license and get back to training!”

[Spade]: “Wha- no way, you come from Jappon?! So have you… ever been to BaraAkiha?”

[Hanzo]: “Ah… no, never had the time to, besides, it doesn’t really interest me. Why do you ask? Are you a fan of that stuff?”

[Spade]: "Noooo, absolutely not! It’s just… one of the most famous places so- yeah, but, I wouldn’t mind visiting other places in Jappon, I like drawing, and I’ve heard Jappon has some pretty breathtaking sights!”

[Hanzo]: “Oh yes!! It does, it’s a beautiful country! Actually if you ever visit I’d be glad to give you a tour if time allows it- I’d bring you to the places with the best landscapes so you can draw them… wait you draw?! Oh that’s cool! Do you have anything to show me? Would you draw me?!”

[Spade]: “Eh? Ah… yeah sure, it’s not like we have anything better to do”

[Hanzo]: “Make sure to capture my awesomeness! And then later I can teach you something in exchange maybe!”

[Spade]: “H-huh? Like… what? And hold still, otherwise the portrait will come out weird-”

[Hanzo]: “Oh, sorry heh, hm… how about meditation? Sorry, can’t teach you any secret ninja technique, because… they’re secret!”

[Spade]: “Ah… that actually doesn’t sound bad- hey, I told you to hold still!” –

After dinner, which was brought to us by some guards, Hanzo actually did teach me the correct way to meditate, and it was really surprising how much better my aura flow got after just an hour of doing that. I'll be doing ninja meditation for the rest of my life!

From January 9th to January 10th OST: Elevatorstuck

The two following days were really calm. Aside from Hanzo, Hisoka and Gittarackur, however, nobody seemed interested in chatting. I missed my team a lot, Leorio especially. I was really worried, the tower was most definitely a dangerous place, and I did my best not to think too hard about them possibly being dead. It didn’t help at all that just before this challenge, both Leorio and Kurapika had reassured me I was considered part of the team, it had me spiraling a little. I kept killing time. Hanzo was always happy to share some stories with me and he also taught me how to make the best green tea.  I played cards with Hisoka and Gittarackur and taught them how to play Scopa by using my own deck of Napoletan cards, and Hisoka was rather fascinated by the symbols. Unlike the classic suits of Hearts, Clubs, Diamonds and Spades, Napoletan cards are divided into Swords, Clubs, Golds and Cups. Bonding over cards with a psychopath was not how I expected to spend one of my afternoons. This is how they ended up discovering my home country is Itaria. Gittarackur could tell I was foreign from my accent too, but couldn’t pinpoint where I came from exactly. I also took my time to draw the places I’d seen so far from memory, and look at the other examinees one by one as they came through various doors.  I saw that Ponzu and Pokkle had found their way there, and that made me happy! I also saw the #197 #198 and #199 come through, those three are brothers, or so I’ve heard. One last thing I did to kill time was sparring a bit with Hanzo, because I was curious to see how he’d do in a fight, but he said he still wouldn’t use ninja techniques on me. We had to stop however because we noticed Hisoka staring at us as we sparred, and his bloodlust was growing dangerously.

1. What is the main lesson of your story (e.g. kindness, diversity, anti-war), and why did you choose it?

Do not destroy yourself for the sake of acceptance is always a really important point in stories for me as well as the importance of found family. Also final girls deserve a revenge arc.

2. What did you use as inspiration for your worldbuilding (like real-life cultures, animals, famous media, websites, etc.)?

Honestly a big inspiration point for The Scarlet Sacrament is that summer time is Too Damned Hot and I knew I wanted to place the Scarlet Sacrament in the winter so Im just, escaping into my imaginary winter tundra lol. The idea for the plot came to me during world building for another series based in my fantasy world Remquil when I realized I wanted vampires and werewolves in the setting so the Scarlet series is all about how Vampires were created.

3. What is your MC trying to achieve, and what are you, the writer, trying to achieve with them? Do you want to inspire others, teach forgiveness, help readers grow as a person?

Forgiveness is for CHUMPS Ahem, so for main character Isravys I want to have readers see her downfall and triumphs. I want people to feel like after something awful happens to them they should keep going. And the revenge catharsis.

4. How many chapters is your story going to have?

I am aiming for 30 chapters with and average of 3,000 words each

5. Is it fanfiction or original content? Where do you plan to post it?

Original content! The first draft will be posted on my Patreon weekly once I’ve finished outlining it

6. When and why did you start writing?

My chronic depression started showing up when I was six or seven and it was pretty isolating so writing and making art helped me deal with being alone so much.

7. Do you have any words of engagement for fellow writers of Writeblr? What other writers of Tumblr do you follow?

Coal - All of Poacher's LV distilled into a separate entity. Not that bad. In fact, he comes off as less threatening than ol' Poach. Anime boy twunk guy. I cannot picture him as anything older than 26 but surely he's older than that. Much to figure out and rebuild.

Agnes Chastity-Crane - a crane in Night Forest who begins investigating the odd mana left in the wake of people questing through Lemuria's story. Also accidentally invented guns :D. 20s.

Mark Moonfisher - my interpretation of that one Schismist soldier in Karamelle, Novus, and the Test Realm raid. Because Arc 4 doesn't happen normally in my AU, his story ends up different. Sharkperson (specifically spiny dogfish) who was born to gamer but forced to minor/nonexistent npc.

Ruthless Dirk - my main Pirate, swashbuckler, Karamellian fae disguising emself as a human, grew up in Skull Island. 22.

'Fair' Sarah Paisley - my original Pirate, witchdoctor (with a LOT of creative liberty because KI didn't have sensitivity), grew up in Krokotopia but lived in Skull Island. 28.
