Im finally playing the dlc for kakarot since I got the pass after originally completing the main game almost a year ago and the first one is so weird. Its basically just two boss fights + stuff you can use to level up and get all the transformations early in the story, if you want. I don't know WHY you'd want to because the game is generally pretty easy anyway and any time you get a new transfornstion is a big scripted story moment, but the option is there if you want it. But you have to do the training for it either way before you get the actual boss fights unique to the dlc so you have to one shot whis like 5 times first if you've already beat the main game, then do it 20 more times to be a high enough level to do the SUPER BOSS.
Also for some reason the first dlc Is a completely different version of the movie its based on, with tons changed, while the second adapts it much more accurately, for some reason? It's odd. There is a fun thing they change where for the super saiyan God ritual to work they just summon both versions of trunks to the same place, presumably because they didn't want to make a new model for videl.
The second one lets you fight mobs as piccolo, so its good. Otherwise its just 1 more boss, some refights of old bosses (for the third time) at a higher level and 2 more SUPER BOSSES that are just the existing dlc bosses at even higher levels that you have to grind up to beat, which isnt very fun
The third one seems to have had much more thought and effort put into it, but im too early in to fully judge it. I do at least like that they add bits showing what the members of the cast that weren't killed are up to, and have future gohan talk about his childhood during the saiyan saga. The stuff about him training the kid of someone who tried to destroy earth, and thinking about how he understands the sacrifice piccolo made for him, is the kind of stuff that usually only seems to get broached in fan comics
