I watched Blade Missing Ace. That first fight where the Toei rain machines were working so hard in that warehouse with chains hanging from the ceiling that was also on fire as Kenzaki seals his boyfriend... gorgeous. Bit of an eyesore when they kept turning the really bright lights on and off but like, FANTASTIC visuals. A movie about being wet and soggy. Not a good movie. They were so evil and twisted for ending it on a scene paralleling Amane's birthday party AND the bench. I cried again.

fun fact about missing ace it was filmed during the summer (and i'm pretty sure mid writer change so even if inoue was the type who asks and he's not, he probably didn't have a clue how the show was gonna end) and since ryoji is barely in it, he had time to film two roles at once for the summer episodes lmao

ISHIDA LOOOOVES HIS FILTERS AND COLORED LIGHTS he loves color grading some shit to be near unwatchable, spinning the camera around characters talking, and people walking in shallow water lmao. I do like that Kenzaki is often shaded in deep blue as like, an aesthetic and symbolism choice but come ON.

also funny how kenzaki was so so ready to sacrifice himself. almost like he couldn't wait. absolutely evil that they made him seal hajime TWICE. i wanna say Inoue didn't get kenhaji like at first he didn't get renshin but no he gets it he's just EVIL
