you know i don't mean it (joel miller x reader) 18+
Tumblr media
welcome to my 300 follower celebration! \o/ i polled my followers on which character they'd most like to see in some new smut and joel won (not surprised). this was supposed to be a drabble but ended up getting a bit longer than i anticipated, hope you enjoy! summary: you and joel get off together. that's pretty much it. you also have some unresolved feelings for him and he's being closed off. rating: 18+ explicit (mdni) warnings: smut, age gap (reader is mid 20s, joel is mid 50s), praise kink (the term 'good girl' is used maybe 432534 times), dirty talk, dom/sub dynamics (but make it soft), mutual masturbation, come-play, come-eating, this is filthy word count: about 2.5k | ao3 link
"This is the last time," he mutters under his breath, belt buckle jangling as he lays down across from you, "We can't keep doin' this."
"Yeah, yeah," your hand is already buried in your panties, index finger lightly rotating against your clit, "That's what you said last week too."
He grunts and you watch as he slips his hand inside his jeans and palms himself, squaring his shoulders and trying to relax. He pretends he's doing this for your benefit, like its you who needs help getting off, as if he's not a middle aged man who hasn't been touched by a woman in years. And it's not like you haven't offered, you've genuinely tried to give yourself to him more than a few times, but it's simply a line he won't cross.
Other lines, however, are much easier to cross. It had started out relatively innocent, something that had happened completely by chance, or at least you both led yourselves to believe it was. You'd both had the same idea one night and had ended up getting off together in the same room, you in the chair beside the fireplace of the abandoned ski lodge you'd both been posted in, him on the couch.
"Are you -" he'd gasped into the darkness when he'd heard the wet sound of your fingers a few feet away, plunging in and out of yourself at a steady rhythm.
"Like you're not," you'd hissed back, "I'm not deaf."
"Thought you were sleepin'," he'd muttered, hand stilling on his cock where seconds ago he'd been stroking like his life depended on it.
"And that makes it less weird?"
He'd groaned, releasing himself and sitting up to squint at you in the darkness, "So what are you gonna do about it?"
You glared at him, not bothering to remove your hand from your underwear as you continued to finger yourself, breathing deeply, "I'm not gonna do anything about it, Joel. I'm gonna keep going. And you can stay here or you can go, doesn't matter to me."
After a few seconds of silence, he'd flopped himself back down on the couch and reached for himself again, fucking into his fist, "No talking," he said through his teeth, "Let's just do it and forget it even happened, deal?"
"Deal," you'd replied, and roughly added a third finger as you watched the dark silhouette of him jacking himself off barely six feet away from you.
One night turned into two, turned into five, and now ten. It wasn't every night, only when you were on patrol together. You'd privately asked Tommy to make sure that Joel was your patrol partner as often as possible, because you felt "safer" with him... you're not sure if he'd really believed you.
You're back in the ski lodge again tonight, both of you situated on the couch in your usual positions, on opposite ends and facing each other. It's ridiculous how quickly it's taken you both to get used to these sessions, the casual feeling of it making it even hotter somehow.
"How many fingers are you using this time?" Joel murmurs, eyeing you where you're touching yourself, unable to fully see what he'd like to.
"Up to you," you breathe, still prodding your clit, "How many do you want me to use?"
"Three," he replies, and you watch as he pulls his cock free from the confines of his jeans, jutting large and solid against his stomach, "Real slow, then real fast."
You nod, lifting your hips up to pull your panties free and expose yourself to him, legs wide.
"Stick to my rhythm," he tells you, watching as you trail your middle finger through your folds, "If I stop, you stop. If I tell you to stop-"
"I stop," you answer for him, throwing him a smug smile, "Same rules as always."
He stares at you without speaking, just waiting. You get the hint and begin to slide your finger inside slowly, making eye contact with him under your lashes and smiling languidly. He fists himself just as slow, looking down at your finger and licking his lips.
"Slow enough for you?" you whisper, adding a second and grinning when his eyes darken, "Should I go a bit faster?"
"Not yet," he whispers, thumbing the head of his cock and fucking into his hand at the same pace as your finger, "Keep it nice and slow for me 'til I say so."
You obey, fucking yourself with your middle and ring finger at the slowest pace you can muster. No matter how annoying his orders are you always do as you're told, not because you're afraid of any sort of consequence, but because you like seeing him enjoy himself, seeing him take control. You've only known him for about six months but you've known for a while that he's been lacking any sort of control in his life for a long time; you're glad to be the one who can give it to him.
"Add your third," he whispers and you oblige, slipping your index inside yourself alongside the others, "Good girl," he breathes, "Such a good girl for me, aren't you?"
You nod, your smugness immediately starting to fade. When he talks to you like this, praises you, it's impossible to keep your hard exterior up for much longer, feeling yourself submit to him. In any other circumstance you love to challenge him, to argue, but in these moments it's the last thing on your mind. You do as you're told, and that's the end of it. He needs control, you need submission.
"Tell me," he whispers.
"I'm your good girl," you breathe, shivering and continuing to shove your fingers in and out at his pace.
He smirks, "Yeah you are."
You continue to fuck yourself at his painfully slow pace, watching him fist his cock at the same speed. He likes to tease you, to build you up until you're begging for it. You thumb your clit and start to whimper, legs trembling.
"Okay, faster now," he tells you, voice low and sultry, "Not too fast, though. Watch me," he tugs at his cock at a bit quicker of a pace, still much too slow for you but you can't do much else but obey him, mirroring him with the thrust of your fingers, "That's it, like that."
After several more thrusts he suddenly stops stroking himself, stilling in his palm. You groan, halting your movements, following the rules.
"How is it that you follow orders so God damn well when you've got your panties around your ankles?" he asks, voice rough, "Yet when we're actually patrollin' you don't listen to a word I say?"
"I'm not your good girl when we're patrolling," you reply with a teasing smile, "But I could be, you know."
He rolls his eyes, "Enough, it's not happening," he nods to your hand, still motionless at your core, "Play with your clit for a second, give me a chance to breathe."
There it is, the line he won't cross. You've already told him that you're willing to give yourself completely over to him, be exactly who he needs, but no matter how many times you try he just won't budge. It's disappointing, truly, because you really do like him. Sure, he's a bit of an ass, plus he's about thirty years older than you, but you've seen the side of him he doesn't show to others. Maybe only hints, but you've seen it. And you care about him.
"I don't do this with anyone else, you know," you whisper, pressing your index finger against your clit and rubbing small circles into it, "You're the only one I'd let treat me the way you do."
He looks at you curiously, raising an eyebrow, "I treat you good, don't I?"
You nod, whimpering a bit as you rub yourself harder, "You do, but you're the only one I'd ever submit to like this, you know that, right?"
He hums, brushes the wide head of his cock with the tip of his thumb, "I know, baby. But it feels so good, doesn't it? You like being my good girl, don't you?"
You bite down on your lip, core aching as your fingers lay still against your folds, save for the index that continues to furiously stimulate your clit, "I do," you whisper, cheeks warming, "I fucking love it."
"There you go," he murmurs softly, then begins to move his fist again, "Use your fingers again, baby, get your pussy all full for me."
You don't need telling twice, your three fingers plunging deep inside yourself without any hesitation. You whimper when your fingertips brush against your favorite spot, so close yet so far. You eye Joel's cock and try to imagine what it would feel like for it to really be inside you, the fat tip of it pounding relentlessly against the deepest parts of your cunt, his girth stretching you out so much your whole body would be shaking. You feel your mouth drop open involuntarily, brow furrowing.
He follows your gaze and frowns at you, pumping himself a bit faster, "You can't have it," he whispers, like he can read your mind, "I know you want it, pretty girl, but you can't. I'm sorry."
"Why?" you mewl, sounding absolutely pathetic as you keep fucking yourself, "I want it so bad, Joel."
"I know you do," he closes his eyes and leans his head back, "Don't ask me why, you just can't."
You'd pout, tease him a little, but he's not looking at you anymore and it physically makes you ache, the way he avoids any allusion to actual sex, an actual relationship. You've asked him so many times and it's always the same answer, never a real reason. You wish you knew why, wish you knew if there was anything at all you could do to make him open up to you.
Instead you mirror his position, tilting your head back against the arm of the sofa and fucking up into yourself, listening to his labored breathing and the slap of skin whenever his fist hits his belly.
"Fast as you can now, baby," he mutters gruffly, close to the edge, "Need you to come for me, need you to be good."
"I'm always good for you, aren't I?" you whimper, opening your eyes to peer at him again, "I always listen, I never break your rules."
"That's right."
"So why can't you fuck me?" you sit up suddenly, yanking your fingers out of yourself and looking at him angrily. He sits up just as quickly, eyes narrowing as he releases his cock and stares at you, "I'm serious, Joel. I want an actual answer."
"You just broke a rule," he mutters and you sigh exasperatedly.
"I'm sorry for breaking the rules," you genuinely mean it; you know how important this control is for him, but you can't help it, "I'll submit again if you just tell me why you won't fuck me. Do you...do you not want me? Is that it? 'Cause I can accept that, I just want to hear you say it. I'm sick of not knowing."
He stares at you incredulously, hand coming up to squeeze the space between his brow and nose, "Jesus, of course I want you, but it's not that simple."
"Yes it-"
"It's not," he interrupts you, shaking his head, "I can't...this isn't..." he exhales deeply, "This isn't the time for this conversation, okay?" You hear raw emotion in his voice, buried deep but still present. Fuck, you didn't mean to make him feel bad.
"...Okay," you finally whisper, "I'm sorry."
"S'okay," he runs a hand through his hair, "Look, we can stop-"
"No," you lean back and open your legs wide again, putting yourself on display for him, "No, I wanna be your good girl again, please let me."
"We don't-"
"Joel," you whimper, slipping your fingers back inside, "Let me be your good girl."
His hard expression fades, eyes softening as he peers at you, watching you fuck himself for him.
"It's all yours, even if you won't touch me," you whisper, using your other hand to pull yourself open for him, showing him how full you are, feeling your orgasm start to build in your tummy, "It's yours," you repeat, whimpering.
He nods, stroking himself again hard and fast, brow furrowing in pleasure as he keeps his eyes trained on you, "That's right," he murmurs, "It's mine. You're mine."
You close your eyes tight, "I'm gonna come."
"Go ahead, pretty girl," you hear him groan, the snap of his wrist making you completely come undone, "Squeeze around those fingers, pretend they're mine, okay? You can do that, you can pretend."
You shudder at his words and feel your orgasm overtake you, the image of Joel's thick fingers pounding into you enough to send you over the edge. You moan loudly, crying out his name and tossing your head back as you come.
"Good girl," he groans, voice strangled, "Such a good fucking girl for me."
You close your eyes as you ride out the waves of your release, fingers still pumping gently inside of you until it's too much and you pull them out. Sighing contentedly, you open your eyes again and watch Joel relentlessly fuck into his fist, belt buckle still jangling against the couch as he gasps. You want nothing more than to reach forward and take him in your own hand, help him ride out his own release, but you don't. Because those are the rules.
Instead you just watch him, smile at him as he shuts his eyes tight and groans deeply, coming into his fist. You watch the thick white liquid cover the sides of his fingers and you involuntarily salivate, jaw going slack.
"Fuck," you breathe, "Wish I could taste you."
He groans again, hand stilling as he breathes heavily and starts to come down, eyes closed. You sit quietly, panties still hanging off one of your ankles. You'd usually already be putting your clothes back on at this point, but something tells you to stay still, don't move, he's gonna do something different.
He swallows and looks up at you, stares at you for a few moments. You're unsure whether the regular Joel is about to come back, tell you it's time to go back on patrol, grab your gun and be quiet. Or is this still your Joel, the one who tells you you're pretty and good, makes you feel less alone in this shitty world.
"Here," he says, shaking his head and bringing his come-coated fingers up to your mouth, "If you wanna taste, you have five seconds."
Your mouth pops open in surprise, hesitating only for a second before you lean forward and wrap your lips around his fingers, feeling the salty taste of him flood your mouth. Your cunt begins to throb again, your eyes closing as you suck and lick and take everything he's giving you. When you open your eyes again he's still looking at you, but his expression is soft, tender.
"Good girl," he murmurs.

Tumblr media
🍫🍫🍫🍫🍫🍫🍫🍫🍫🍫
"SHE IS OUT OF CHOCOLATE?!" Venom's voice boomed inside his head.
"Relax, buddy, we can hit up the 7/11 down the street." Eddie scoffed, adjusting his wireless earbud. Thankfully it looked like he was on the phone, so he could talk freely to Venom without anyone thinking he was insane.
And well, he kind of was, a tiny bit.
Just a tad...
"BUT I CAN SMELL IT!" The symbiote whined childishly as Eddie scooped the frozen egg rolls into the wiry basket looped over his arms.
"Yeah yeah, I know. Mrs Chen could have eaten the last one, Vee. Just chill. How about some chocolate ice cream?" Eddie grinned at the pun.
"No! We always get brain freezes!" He entity huffed.
"Because you scarf down the whole tub in one go." Eddie chuckled.
Venom grumbled again, and a tendril snaked out from beneath Eddie's sweater and dropped a box of brownie mix into the basket. "Fine. I can settle with these."
"Whatever you say, love, but you're helping me bake the shit." The man shrugged in reply as he remembered to grab a carton of milk. He'd need some eggs, too... Well, at least his landlord let him move the chicken coop to the roof in exchange for some free eggs.
Those chickens were fat and spoiled, and Venom loved the little critters dearly, which Eddie always found humorous. Now, whenever Eddie made the joke of turning them into KFC, Venom would be aghast and headbutt him, citing that Sonny and Cher were his "babies".
He'd been talking like that a lot lately, Eddie realized. Venom apparently had a paternal streak in him. Eddie noticed that as well when Venom would find homeless kids or runaways, helping them and trying to seem as non-threatening as possible, even going as far as to change his fangs so they were blunt. (One of the kids assured him that was far creepier than the monster fangs, which made Eddie nearly keel over in laughter...)
"Deal." Venom purred happily, the tendril receding back to slip beneath Eddie's shirt and wrap around him like a hug.
"Alright, alright." Eddie chuckled, grabbing an extra box just in case as he walked around the shelves, sparing a glance at his phone to check the time.
"Eddie." Venom's voice said.
"What?" Eddie lifted his gaze, feeling Venom's haste flood him and put him on alert.
His eyes trailed the store until he landed on the checkout counter, where you were sitting. Not Mrs Chen, but cute, innocent, blissful you.
You were happily munching on a chocolate bar, one of the very ones Venom wanted. It would seem you had claimed it, eating the sugary morsel happily.
"Oh." Eddie mumbled.
He felt it as Venom seized control of his legs suddenly, sending him forward in jerking motions until he practically ran into the counter, making you jump in surprise.
"Oh! Sorry!" He smiled awkwardly, a faint blush to his cheeks.
'Venom, quit it! I'll get you chocolate later!' He said mentally to the alien inhabiting his body.
"No, Eddie. Wait."
"I, ah... Got a bit sidetracked and tripped over my feet." He added.
You smiled at him, "Oh, god. Yeah, I feel you. Lately it's like dragging my heels through wet cement." You chuckled.
Huh. You were... God, you were cute. He could tell even Venom thought so. With your cute fluffy turtleneck and your hair all done, your cheeks nice and rosy from the blush you'd applied.
Which... brought up the question.
"I've never seen you 'round here before." Eddie commented. "Mrs Chen is usually the only person I see in here..."
"Oh! I'm new in town, I live just down and street and she saw my situation and offered me a part-time here. I have a work from home job and everything, but ugh, just staying cooped up inside is so boring!" You say the last part with a groan.
"Damn, would've been nice if she offered me that job a couple years ago." Eddie chuckled.
You giggled a bit at him and looked at his basket, "Is that all for ya, hon?"
"Oh, yeah!" Eddie said, carefully organizing the things onto the glass counter. His eyes flicked to the candy bar you were still steadily breaking pieces off of.
"Bit of a sweet tooth, huh?" He teased.
"Ugh, god... lately? Yes! The craving for it has been absolute hell." You sigh exhaustedly. "Almost everything in my apartment is chocolate flavored or scented now!"
"... Cravings?" Eddie echoed, raising a thick brow.
"Okay, I know what you're thinking and no. It's not "that time of the month" like your brain is probably saying." You snort.
Eddie watches as your hand trails down to your midsection and you pat your belly beneath the plush fabric of your sweater, where a gentle swell stood out a bit more prominently as you smooth the fabric taut over your stomach.
"I just have a certain little jellybean who thinks they can dictate what mama wants to eat all the time. And apparently, chocolate is what's on the menu for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. And... in between." You chuckle.
"OH." Eddie and Venom thought in unison.
"That's why she smells like that!" Venom barked, realizing the underlying scent of chocolate on you was laced with something else. Hormones. He was picking up on those, too.
"Oh! Uh, congrats!" Eddie said, clearing his throat awkwardly. "I'm sure you and your, uh, partner are probably super happy, huh?"
"Oh, no, it's just me." You smiled with a hum, taking another little sweet square between your lips.
Eddie's brow furrowed. "What?"
"Okay, so I'm not gonna be rude, but I will explain." You snicker. You seemed infinitely patient and polite about the subject. Apparently this very thing must be a common occurrence with you, that random people must constantly ask this same question, and how tiring it surely must be to answer it again and again...
"No, I don't have a partner, husband, or anything. No daddy."
Eddie awkwardly pointed to your belly. "Then how did y'know... that get in there?"
Eddie controlled the flinch he wanted to make when Venom pinched him. "You did NOT just call her baby a THAT!"
"Yeah, yeah I know. But there's something everyone forgets, and that it doesn't always "take two to tango"." You smile at him again, ringing up his items with one hand, chocolate still clutched firmly in another.
"I decided that I wanted to be a mom. But I didn't want to just go out and get pregnant willy nilly. I have a good job, steady income. But I don't have time to date and there's always the concern that I'd be left a single parent if whoever I was with decided parenthood wasn't for them, y'know?"
Eddie nodded patiently as he and Venom listened to you with rapt attention.
"I went to a fertility clinic, did what the doctor said, then had my egg fertilized with a sperm donor. And then boom," You point to your belly. "Jellybean."
"Oh, that... Yeah okay I forget fertility clinics are a thing." Eddie laughed, shaking his head.
"Well I'm glad you're so open-minded about it!" You grin. "Most people judge me and go "oh your baby needs a father!" and the ever so classic "you don't even know who the father is?" line."
Eddie frowned, and he could tell even Venom was irritated on your behalf. "You don't need to have a partner or spouse to raise a baby. Seriously. What is this, the 1940s?"
"I knoooow!" You giggle again. "And besides! I can support me and my baby just fine, and I'm already happy and so far the pregnancy has been a breeze!"
Eddie could feel a tugging sensation from Venom. The symbiote was curious, and wanted to touch. But Eddie knew that was not only rude as hell, but to some people, socially unacceptable if you don't know the person or ask permission first.
"How uh, far along are you?"
"I just hit my second trimester." You chirp proudly, patting your belly. "The baby's tiny, but I'm finally showing, now."
"Ohhh." Eddie snapped his fingers. "Hence "jellybean", right?"
"Yes!" You laugh.
Eddie pulled out his card and swiped it to pay for the groceries. "It's a cute nickname. Have you thought of any names yet?"
Your brain did a record scratch, and Eddie could see the look on your face.
Nope. Not at all.
You hadn't thought of a damn one. Especially because you didn't know the sex of your baby yet.
"Uh...."
Eddie started snickering at your expression, "Ahhh. My bad." He shoots you a cocky grin, "If I can recommend a name, Eddie is a pretty strong one!"
"Weak." Venom mocked.
"Eddie?" You echo, blinking.
"Oh, don't listen to him, girl." Mrs Chen snorted as she walked up to you two, whacking Eddie with a rolled up newspaper. "This boy is nothing but trouble!"
Her words were jabbing, but not spoken without affection, so you could tell they had a history together.
"Ow! Hey!" Eddie pouted, rubbing the top of his head.
"Oh please, I'd need to shoot this out of a cannon to dent that hard head of yours!" She huffed with a smirk, crossing her arms.
She tilted her head and noticed the candy bar in your hand, and made the mental connection with Eddie and Venom. Riiiiiight. Venom needed chocolate. Mrs Chen tossed it to you when you started scrolling through your phone for door dash orders for chocolate cakes from local restaurants to sate your cravings.
"Oh, right. Sorry about your chocolate fix." Mrs Chen replied, her gum smacking softly. "Gave the lady one to help ease her stomach."
The flush to your cheeks made Eddie smile as you looked at the candy in your hand. "I'm sorry!" You sputtered.
"Hey, man, you got a baby in you. You can't exactly tell the little, uh.... eh. The little person they can't have it?" Eddie struggled. He wasn't sure how the whole cravings thing worked, honestly. Would you indeed cry if he didn't accept your offer? Would your baby get hungry? Was that a thing? He knew jack and shit about babies in general, man.
"Pff, moron."
'Parasite.'
"I AM NOT A PARASITE!"
"Oh, I know but uh..." You say, your eyelashes fluttering as you think, looking from Eddie to the bar in your hand. You decided to finish breaking off the pieces you were working on, and extend your hand giving the rest to Eddie. "Here! I'm good, if I need more I can nab some from the gas station down the street."
"Oh! Uh... I don't wanna, y'know. Take anything from you and your baby." Eddie said, waving his hands.
"Eddie, if you refuse to take it, she could cry." Mrs Chen teased. "You don't want to make a pregnant woman cry do you?"
Eddie's face was hilarious as panic started to bubble up within him as he looked from you, to your outstretched hand, to Mrs Chen, who stood as proud as can be at the chaos she had just sewn.
"Hey! I'm not that hormonal!" You retort to the older lady. But... you deflate a tiny bit. "...Okay, well not yet but still!"
Eddie was still going through the moral dilemma of accepting the kind gesture vs taking candy from a literal baby in somebody's womb.
Venom made the choice for him, extending our Eddie's hand and letting him take it.
"I, uh... Thanks." Eddie blabbered quickly.
"Now let's go home before you make an idiot out of us further." Venom cackled gleefully at the socially awkward situation.
Eddie grabbed the plastic bags and gave an awkward wave and a smile before skittering out of the store with his tail between his legs.
"Geez, he needs to get laid once in a while." Mrs Chen scoffed, going over to check inventory.
You barely had a moment to collect yourself, stopping before you laughed so hard you peed yourself.
That was the first time you and Eddie ever met. It would not be the last.
🍫🍫🍫🍫🍫🍫🍫🍫🍫🍫
Eddie shopped at Mrs Chen's place pretty regularly, her prices were easy on the wallet and she was close by to he and Venom's apartment.
You steadily built up a rapport with Eddie over the next two or three weeks. Venom was inexplicably drawn to you, wanting to constantly convince Eddie to touch your belly.
Eddie kept reminding him that it was frankly rude as shit to do that, and that hell, it would probably make you uncomfortable.
Not long after that, Eddie and Venom discovered--to Venom's utter glee--thay you lived in the same building, the apartment just above his. They found this out when Venom insisted on making sure you made it home after your shift at Mrs Chen's ended, knowing how vulnerable a pregnant lady looked to crooks and criminals.
Twice Venom caught and ate the brains of lowlifes who tried stalking you.
Venom, despite you not knowing of his existence, was fiercely protective of you. And... well he liked you. They liked you.
Eddie hated how quickly both he and Venom became infatuated with you, listening to you talk about your baby, your cravings... They could tell you were lonely despite your cheerful demeanor. Yes, Eddie and Venom had each other already, but they quickly thought about adding you to the mix.
But again, you didn't know about the alien slime monster living inside of Eddie. That subject would have to definitely wait...
He would check on you, leaning his head out his window on occasion to talk to you as you looked up, it brightened up the monotony of your at-home life in between work, asking about how you were feeling as your pregnancy developed. He even texted you lists of different baby names and their meanings to help you out!
When he first asked you out, you were floored. You've never met a man who was interested in a woman pregnant with somebody else's baby, before. You've heard about it sure, but... You were more surprised anyone was interested in you while pregnant with some guy's baby. Let alone your cute downstairs neighbor who apparently babied his pet chickens that were kept on the rooftop.
He even introduced you to them! You didn't hold them of course, for fear of bacteria, and chuckled as he furiously disinfected himself before even coming within three feet of you, all for you and your baby's health.
A man who was sweet, considerate, caring and he loves animals? Add the looks to that bill and that was a difference you were willing to pay. How was he still single?!
But... Well. That changed after your first date, and he was glad you accepted it all.
And it wasn't long after that (several weeks actually) you discovered he wasn't, in fact, single. He didn't have a girlfriend or anything but he certainly had a partner.
Said partner... was some kind of ooze-critter that lived inside of him. And you only found this out when you came home from a late night convenience store run for some triple chocolate chunk ice cream, walked into your apartment...
And saw him.
Venom, in his hulking form, stood awkwardly in your apartment, looking like a deer trapped in headlights when you flicked your lights back on, the ice cream in your bag forgotten.
As your door slowly swung closed due to angled flooring, you opened your mouth to scream.
Venom cut you off, his massive hands shooting up and he waved them, "DON'T SCREAM!"
You snapped your mouth shut, your teeth making an audible click as your heart hammered in your chest.
"We were worried! You weren't responding to our texts or when we knocked on your door?" His deep and rumbly voice growled out.
You shudder at the timbre of his voice, eyes never once leaving the rows of jagged fangs in his maw. You drop your plastic bag and step back, covering your belly--now very prominent as you were later in your term--protectively.
That seems to... upset him? He frowned, looking at the carpet as he lowered his hands, his large eyes narrowing as he carefully thought, trying to think of ways to alleviate the fear bubbling through you.
He took a slow step towards you, like you were a frightened animal caught in a trap that he had to be gentle with, lest you struggle or flail and get hurt.
"We were worried about you. We--" His head snapped to his left and he snarled. "Yes! "We"! You were worried, too! Don't try to say you weren't!"
You watch, in shock as he has essentially a one-sided argument with himself, getting exasperated, saying the word "love" and "dear" here and there.
You stayed, scared, until the ugly sensation of your nausea reared its ugly head and you dropped the plastic bag, literally shoving past this gigantic creature in a mad dash to your bathroom or you were gonna blow chunks right then and there.
You didn't even shut the door before you collapsed to your knees, hugging the bowl as you heaved the contents of your digestive system into the pearly white porcelain, leaving what could only be the Venom, the creature that supposedly stalked your city eating people, in your living room.
By the end of the nausea fit, your eyes were watery, your nose was runny and your face blotched with color, the whites of your eyes glassy from the strain. You felt lightheaded and dizzy as you rinsed your mouth with water right from the tap, gargling and spitting until the foul acidic taste went away.
You felt your now empty stomach growl and your first instinct was to go get food and eat again, to replenish the energy you just spent hurling everything you ate that day.
But then you remembered...
The big guy.
You didn't have any sort of object to wield as a weapon, so you merely sheepishly peeked around the corner, watching as the creature called Venom gingerly moved about your kitchen, things that looked like tentacles reaching out and grabbing a cup, some ice, and a can of ginger ale from your fridge and pour it into the cup; all the while making a sandwich. Nutella with your banana/mango spread. A favorite you'd started to enjoy in the past week.
But the only person you ever told that to was...
You froze when he turned around, locking eyes with you as he set the food on your breakfast island, sheepishly rubbing the back of his neck.
"We... We know that you're probably hungry after... So we figured..." He said, gesturing vaguely to the food and drink in front of him.
"How do you know..." You breathed.
His colossal shoulders heave as he sighed, walking around the island and over to you, stopping just a mere few feet away.
"Promise not to be mad? Or scream?"
You weren't sure why in the hell he asked you that, but you felt already too far gone into shock to really argue. Plus, throwing up took all urges to scream from your poor sore throat.
So, you nodded.
"Okay."
You watched as the strange black goo peels back layer by slinking layer, until a man is revealed beneath.
But it's not just any man.
It's fucking Eddie. Your neighbor-turned-recent-boyfriend.
"You--!"
"We can explain! Just please, please don't be mad at us!" Eddie winced.
You felt another dizzy spell start to hit at this revelation. "How long--"
"A few years. Look, we planned on telling you. It's just... not tonight. When you didn't answer my texts or calls, I got worried and..." He sighed.
You watched as Venom's head moved out from behind Eddie's shoulder to peer at you, the thick black goo that made up the appendage holding his head up moving almost like water. He offered you a smile, and part of you wished that'd solve the tension in the air, to assuage your increasing confusion. But sadly, it didn't.
"Vee didn't want to fucking wait an extra ten minutes when you didn't answer the door and climbed through your window, which you should start locking I mean I know we're on the upper floors with no balcony or fire escape, but it's still a safety concern and with the baby--"
You interrupted Eddie's rambling. "Vee?" You echo.
"Uh--okay. That's what I call Venom when he isn't being an incorrigible shithead. Or a parasite who takes control of my body." Eddie sighed.
You almost laughed when Venom headbutted him in the side of his head.
"Stop calling me that! It's rude!" Venom snarled.
"No, what's rude is breaking into somebody's apartment!" Eddie retorted, jabbing a finger at Venom. "We talked about this!"
"You were worried, too!"
"Yes but I wasn't going to crawl through her goddamn window!"
Your eyes darted from one to the other as they started bickering like a... like a... Oh.
Yeah. It was after a two hour long conversation that Eddie told you everything. About his ex, the Life Foundation, finding Venom, fighting Riot, then the whole thing with Carnage, Venom's offspring... and of course, their actual relationship with one another, now. They argued like a married couple because they basically were one, complete with... well. You weren't ready in the current situation to imagine how the bedroom situation worked between them, yet.
You took it better than he expected. Way better.
"Honestly.... The only thing scarier than Venom is childbirth." You said, sitting next to him on the couch, your hands on your belly.
"...Eddie." you said slowly.
"Uh--yeah? What's up, sweetheart?" He asked awkwardly, Venom's eyes immediately drawn down to where your hands caressed the bump beneath your thin t shirt.
"How come you haven't asked to touch my belly yet? I'm... surprised. I've had random people come up to me and ask, but not... you."
"Wait... uh. So. You're giving... Permission?" Eddie asked, blinking his big, ridiculously lashed eyes at you.
"Well, yeah, and--"
"FINALLY!" Venom hissed.
In a black blur, Venom lurched forward over Eddie's shoulder, straight for your tummy. He pressed the side of his head against your belly, tendrils of his strange slime-like flesh wrapping around your midsection; listening to the baby's heartbeat and feeling for any movements.
Eddie meanwhile, looked equal parts horrified and embarrassed as he facepalmed, blushing all the way to his ears. "That's why. He's been fucking obsessed with you and your baby since he first realized you were pregnant."
You looked down as the symbiote cuddled you, and by extension, your baby, your jaw agape at how he was purring while he nuzzled into you.
"...That's why you're always so concerned about me?" You asked dumbly, blinking over at Eddie, who gave you an awkward smile and shrug in reply.
"Yeah, hate to break it to you, doll, but... Vee has kinda... claimed you two." He said.
"Claimed me." You repeated.
"Yeah. He has this thing... with kids?" He rolled his hand to try and think of words to describe it. "He's overprotective. He's the same with Sonny and Cher, it's just... he doesn't interact with many pregnant people so when he met you, that weird little drive kicked in. The fact that we both started feeling something for you outside of that kinda blindsided us, but..."
"So what?" Venom scoffed, resting his chin on the curve of your belly, looking up at you with a grin. "This is our baby now, and we will protect the both of you."
"Venom!" Eddie snapped.
"You claimed us?" You were having a difficult time wrapping your head around this. All of it. The whole situation in general. First your boyfriend has a boyfriend who technically isn't a boy but identifies as one because gender was a foreign concept to his species, they were together before they met you, Venom is a literal alien--
And now... was he saying...
"L-Look, I know it's early on and we haven't been dating long, but..." Eddie rubbed his sweaty palms on his faded-out jeans.
"Are you two saying... that you want to be with me? Rest of the pregnancy, birth, and all?"
The hell was your life, some kind of weird, cheap, sci-fi romance novel? The dashing, handsome alien(s) swoop in and offer to help raise your baby? What kind of parallel world were you in?
Eddie was quiet, and Venom merely stared at him, before looking back at you.
"Yes." He said. "Eddie is too much of a pussy to say it, but he likes the idea of taking care of a tiny you."
"Venom! Fuck! Stop calling me that!" Eddie snapped at the symbiote as he protectively snuggled your tummy.
Venom merely stuck his tongue out at him, "I will when you stop calling me a parasite!" He looked back up at you, giving you the best rendition he could of a hurt puppy. "Do you see how he talks to me? Despicable!"
You snorted a short laugh before you could stop yourself, and covered your mouth.
"Hah! See? She thinks I'm funny! So shut it!"
"Oh, my god, that does not count--"
"Yes it does I already won." Venom said contentedly.
"Look!" Eddie groans. "Just... We are willing to be with you. Take care of you, and help with the baby. If... you'll have us. I know this whole situation is weird, but..." Eddie trails off, looking at you hopefully.
The decision wasn't as difficult as you thought it'd be. Eddie and Venom haven't given you a reason to be afraid--other than scaring the shit out of you earlier because Venom apparently has fucking anxiety--and, well... They were so sweet, and gentle... And if Venom doting on your unborn baby currently was any indication, the affection would probably increase a hundred fold after your little bundle of joy arrived.
"Okay." You said.
All the tension seemed to drain from Eddie's body and he sighed, a relieved smile blooming on his face as he looked at you with a look in his eyes that had your heart doing a little flip in your chest.
"Thank God..." Eddie sighed happily.
Venom grinned widely at you, before shooting back to Eddie and seizing the body again, his inky black mass covering Eddie entirely.
Your couch creaked under the added weight of Venom's increased mass as he leaned over, dwarfing your whole body as he wrapped his thick, tree-trunk arms around your tinier body, nuzzling into your cheek before giving you a kiss. Thankfully no tongue, because you thought you'd probably choke if he did that.
When he pulled back, your face was flush at the boldness of his actions, and looked up at him as his opalescent eyes narrowed sweetly down at you.
But something Venom said clicked into your brain, finally, once it rebooted from the kiss.
"Venom, you said you two wouldn't mind helping raise a tiny me." You began. "But I don't know if I'm having a boy or girl, yet."
"Oh, we can." Venom grinned. "I could tell when I was holding onto you. It was easy."
"What?!" You sputter.
"You're having a little girl, by the way."
🍫🍫🍫🍫🍫🍫🍫🍫🍫🍫
You booked an appointment two weeks later. And damn, Venom was right. You were having a girl! At least the naming situation was easier, now that you narrowed down the sex.
Many people said you and Eddie were moving fast, but you ignored them because they didn't know the real situation. Your apartment was bigger, two rooms, one for you (and now Eddie and Venom) and the other was the nursery for the baby.
Eddie was affectionate, but Venom was downright clingy. He was almost always wrapped around your belly in some way or another, purring as he used his weird slimy body to massage you. He helped with your back strain surprisingly, how he would massage you. Eddie proposed maybe letting Venom bond with you for the remainder of the pregnancy to ensure safety and good health, but Venom shot the idea down himself.
He explained it like it was a bit like an organ donor match, if you weren't a match for him you could get sick, or God forbid both you and the baby could die. And to Eddie's surprise Venom made the nature decision to settle for massaging your back and tummy to ease the strain.
Venom jumped at the chance to rub your coconut oil into your belly to help ease the risk and appearance of stretch marks, too.
Through the mood swings, crazy cravings and nesting phases and all, you two boyfriends stayed with you through all of it. Several times you woke up to Venom and Eddie cooking in the kitchen, making sure you had a decent breakfast in the morning.
The only problem was... well. They cooked like broke college boys. So, you spent time giving them cooking lessons, which was one of the funnest things you'd done in a while. The messes were worth cleaning up, the cute recordings you made were memories that'd last a very very long time.
Nighttime cuddles were great, Venom slinking beneath the blankets to wrap around both you and Eddie to snuggle, massaging you the whole night. It really helped when he would conform a certain way so you could lay on your side comfortably and ease the strain on your poor spine and hips.
Who needed a pregnancy pillow when you had a symbiote, right?
Eddie and Venom read up as much as they could on the subject of babies and childbirth and to say Eddie was terrified was an absolute understatement. The photos and diagrams alone had him chewing his nails (getting a swift smack from Venom) and he felt himself getting queasy when he found out that apparently you would be delivering the placenta as well?!
How much did you have to go through, making a tiny human?!
This whole situation amused the fuck out of you, however, as you'd done all this research and merely accepted it. A bit of blood, etcetera after delivery seemed easy to deal with given you've dealt with your period since puberty and that alone was a mess by itself...
But watching a man learn more about it? Oh, it was hilarious.
But hey! They were excited for a cute little baby girl to snuggle and kiss!
One night, you were laying in bed as you scrolled through various baby items online, saving a few cute things for later. Eddie had his head on your shoulder, watching a movie, with an arm draped over your belly, now painfully (sometimes literally) obvious bump, feeling the baby shift and move around as she kicked inside of you.
Venom had encapsulated Eddie's arm, his massive hand stroking your tummy idly.
Apparently, a thought had been bouncing around in Venom's brain and he finally decided to ask it. His head morphed from behind Eddie and peered over at you.
"The baby is a girl." He said.
"Yeah, Venom, that's been established." Eddie snorted, moving until his cheek was resting on your chest.
"Eddie, that's mean." You chuckle, running your fingers through his hair. "Venom, continue."
"Thank you, sweet thing." Venom purred at you, shooting Eddie a glare afterwards.
"But anyway... If the baby is a girl now..." He tipped his head to the side. "What if the baby decides or realizes when she's older that she isn't one? Or either?"
You lower your phone, eyebrows raised at the gravity of his question. Even Eddie sat up on his elbow to look at Venom, surprised at the depth of the question coming from his symbiote. Honestly though, the subject made sense coming from a species that technically didn't have genders in the first place...
Venom seemed happy with your reply, and looked to Eddie expectantly. He already knew what his opinion was, but he wanted him to say it out loud for you.
"Well..." You begin. "If she decides she wasn't born the right gender, or feels like she's neither, or even leaning on both scales... I won't have a problem. I just want our baby to be happy and healthy, not conformed or trapped in any way. That includes the identity she will have as she realizes things about herself."
"Well, I don't have room to talk on gender identity." Eddie snickered. "Considering how you didn't really decide to go by male pronouns until you bonded with me and stuck with that identity because it fit for you... so, yeah. Whatever the baby decides when she's old enough is fine with me."
You grin and kiss Eddie on his temple, ruffling his hair as Venom nuzzles into your belly.
Yeah...
Safe, happy, and loved. That's what your baby would be, no matter what. With her two weird dads and her mom who puts up with their nonsense.

"What do you mean you're going to the Grand Prix?", you quirked your brow as your friend Cara sipped her coffee, "I thought you said you'd never be caught dead one of those", you chuckled.
"Matthew's company got a bunch of passes because they got a deal with one of the sponsors - I think? - I don't know much about it, all I know is that he brought three home because he thought you'd like to join us", she offered.
You never hid how much you enjoyed watching Formula One, even if watching it, especially in the last couple of years, often brought emotionally heavy memories back.
"That's nice, count me in! What type of passes are they?", you questioned, taking a bite from the cake on your plate.
"I don't know, he was talking all about them and I must admit I zoned out", she admitted, "but he said they were really good! He was very surprised at what the passes had, but his boss is very cheap so I don't know how great they actually are considering the possible comparison", she smiled as you nodded, "count me in, though. It's been a while since I stepped foot on one of them", you recalled.
The last race you attended was when Max was in Formula Three still. The paddock was so big and crowded with so many people, you doubted you'd bump into him. It wouldn't do you any good, would it?
"How did you get hospitality passes?", you gasped as Matthew handed you the lanyard, "they've invested a lot of money so I guess the sponsors didn't mind loosening the belt", he shrugged, putting his own around his neck after scanning it.
"Thank you for this, by the way", you flashed him a smile, "no worries, Y/N, the only way I could convince her to come was if you joined us, and I don't mind actually spending the weekend with someone who also knows a little about the sport", he chuckled as Cara laced her arms with her fiancé, "I'm glad he has you to talk to as well, there's only so much feigned interest I can muster up", she rolled her eyes.
Scuderia Alpha Tauri had been Toro Rosso, but despite the name change, as soon as you walked in, some faces were still familiar from the pictures you got sent from Max on gia first season with them.
"Why did you get interested in Formula One anyway?", Matthew asked you while you sipped on a latte, "I always loved the idea of the cars going very very fast, and then when I actually had the knowledge to understand how they worked, they really intrigued me", you offered, "I also had a friend who was very into it, so he also escalated my interest in it".
"He didn't pull you enough to work on motor sport though?", Matt wondered.
"I didn't enjoy the competitiveness of all of it", you admitted, "it's very strict, and if you want to be successful, it takes the good things away - your family, your friends", you opened your heart to him, thankfully noticing it and sorting the heartfelt confession seemingly about a job, "they travel a lot and they're really competitive that is, I'd never be able to do that for a job", you smiled, hoping you saved yourself from further questions.
"That's why you did mechanical engineering, then?", he asked, "for the most part, yes", you replied, "Oh, they're starting free practice", you smiled, looking over to the track from the balcony seats.
Sophie walked into the RedBull hospitality, looking for her family. Because it was Monaco, they felt safe enough to bring the Lio and Luka to the paddock, knowing they would be close to home in case things didn't go well as planned.
"Grandma!", the oldest boy called her from his spot on his father's lap, his brother sleeping on his mother's chest.
"Hey, my dears", she greeted, "You won't believe who I found on my way here", Sophie began, "I'm surprised Max didn't tell me he invited Y/N. It's a shame she isn't here with us, though", she commented.
The first indicator of surprise should be the way the blond woman looked at her mother, "what do you mean Y/N is here?", she whisper-yelled.
"I just saw her in the Alpha Tauri hospitality, I was walking with Helmut and he was headed there, that's when I noticed her. Max didn't tell you?", she quirked an eyebrow just as her son sat down next to them.
"What didn't I tell who?", Max spoke, setting his plate of food down on the table.
"Why didn't you tell us you invited Y/N for this weekend?", Victoria was the first to scold him, hitting his arm in a sisterly manner, "and in Alpha Tauri of all places? I'm sure they would've bent the rules a little and give you a pass so she could be a RedBull guest!".
Max thought he heard incorrectly. Y/N, his Y/N was in the paddock, in the sister team of the one he now drove for.
"I, I didn't offer her anything", Max said, his brother in-law looking at him weirdly as well, "I don't know how or why she is here, but I had nothing to do with it. We haven't spoken in a while", he mumbled. A while, three years, same thing, he supposes.
"Well, I just saw her. You should go say hi, I'm sure she would love to but she can't exactly find you where she is, it has to be the other way around", Sophie offered.
"What makes you believe she would?", Max questioned, both himself and his mother and sister.
"Because the way you never forgot her, she never forgot you", Victoria sterned, "don't you think she deserves your attention? She was in it for the long run, Max, and maybe she has moved on, maybe even has someone", the thought alone made Max loose his cool, "but she was your friend, the person you trusted most in the world and you let her slip".
"Don't sugar coat it, please", Max sarcastically replied.
"It's true, Max, and you know it", Sophie said, sensing her son didn't want to talk about the topic, but not allowing him to leave the table without a piece of her mind as well.
Max needed to put on his suit again, ready for qualifying, walking along the corridor until he found his door.
"Hey, before you go", Victoria called her brother as he was about to go into his driver's room, "Lio is really fussy, so we're just going back to your place, I'm sorry", she said.
"It's fine, whatever you feel the most comfortable with", he said, waving at his nephews and brother in-law.
"We will be supporting you from home, then", she said, kissing his cheek, "And Max? I know you're not used to it, but follow your heart", she smiled.
"Can I do that now?", he softly bit back, smiling and blushing at his words.
"What's stopping you?", Victoria said as she walked back to her family.
"Who is that?", Jos asked as Max asked him if he could invite you over for dinner before the season began.
The conversations with Toro Rosso were getting serious and the opportunity for a seat in Formula One was right there, up for him to grab if he worked enough.
"She's my friend, you know Y/N", Max tried to reason with his father.
"For this to work, Max, I think you need to distance yourself from home", Jos advised, ignoring his mention of you and carrying on with his lecture, "I'm talking no parties, no trips to come and see friends and family - I really think those are just getting in the way between you and the career you deserve".
The statement was clear, and Max knew better than to question it.
"I've spoken to your mother - she wasn't the biggest fan -, but you really need to focus on this", Jos reiterated, "no friends, much less girlfriends", he chuckled.
The dinner ended up being just Jos, Max and Victoria, the thought of having you there quickly erased in his head.
When Max met up with you before he left for the season, he was antsy. Just a week before, you had stolen innocent kisses from eachother's lips and revelled in the feeling of being in eachother's embrace without a care in the world. And it felt good, so good, like the piece that was missing in Max's life finally completed the puzzle.
"Hey", you greeted, kissing the corner of his lips and allowing him to pull you down to sit on the sofa.
"I spoke to my dad, I'm leaving in a few days", Max said, "there's some testing they want me to do still", he mumbled, lacing your fingers in his.
"And where do we end up?", you asked the million euro question. Truthfully, you entertained the thought. Even though being away from Max for most of the year would be a challenge, the love you felt for him was too big, too great for you to forgo that challenge. You were his and he would be yours.
"It's not going to work, Y/N. I need to focus on racing", he stated blankly despite how much it hurt him to utter those words out to you as the conversation with his father resonated with him.
"Max your focus is getting a Formula One seat", his father sterned, "do you know how hard it is? How much effort and work you have to put in? There can't be any distractions!"
"But Y/N isn't a distraction!", Max reasoned. If anything, you were the one keeping him humble and with both feet on the ground at all times. You cared for him, not because of his racing, who he was or who he could become, but because you loved eachother.
You'd never do anything to ruin his career, Max thought as he worked up the courage to tell you all of it. He couldn't get distracted, not now. He couldn't afford making mistakes because he had a girlfriend back at home waiting on him.
Your understanding, however, wasn't aligned with his expectations. He hoped you'd fight, at least, but you swalled your tears and nodded, "okay, Max. I hope you get your seat, you deserve it so much, I know it will happen".
Max put in on pole, leaving you to smile and snap a picture of the moment, wondering if you'd have the courage to send it to him.
"So, does this mean it's over?", Cara asked, "Because I could do with going home, actually", she nudged.
"Let's go, then!", you smiled, putting your phone in your bag and looking for the way out, ending up following the other guests into the paddock.
"Y/N, dear!", you heard someone call your name, and on cue, you looked for the voice despite the fact that it wad unlikely someone recognised you there.
Sophie didn't age, you thought, as you looked at the source of the voice that called you.
"I'm not going to hold you up, guys, you can go!", you smiled, waving at Matthew and Cara once you assured them you would be fine.
"I'm sorry, Sophie - they're my friends, and he was the one who got the passes from his office", you apologised for leaving her to wait a little for you.
"It's alright, dear. It's been so long since I've seen you", she nudged, "I'm sure Max would love to see you, too!", she jumped straight in.
"Would he, though?", you squinted your eyes.
"He would, Y/N", Sophie said earnestly, "I saw you this morning - at Alpha Tauri -, and he knows you're here", she smiled, "I'm assuming you're watching the race, too. Pay him a visit, okay?", she rubbed your shoulder and left a kiss on your cheek, "He's also my ride home, so I need to go look for him! Bye, Y/N!".
Race day meant rush everywhere, so you got to the paddock just in time before everyone rushed inside, finding the perfect spot to watch the race.
"I need to take this call, one second", you said to Cara, recognising Max's contact on your phone.
"Y/N, hi! I didn't think you'd pick up actually", you could hear the nervousness on his voice, "thanks for the picture, by the way, it was very... nice".
"It's no problem really, I thought it would be a good memory to keep", you smiled, "are you ready for the race? Or do you want me to give you a pep talk?", you chuckled. Back in the day, whenever he didn't feel too confident about a race, you had the power to help him out his head in the right place and bring his winning mentality to light.
"I'm fine, actually", he smiled, "I- I was wondering if you'd like to meet up later", he gulped, "I'd like to talk to you, but it's difficult until the race finishes, and then debriefs and media and all that".
"Sure, text me when you're done then", you stated boldly, "have a good race Max, you know I'm supporting you".
"Even if you're with Alpha Tauri?", he joked.
"I never stopped supporting you, it's not going to be a guest pass that's going to change it", you said as he bid you goodbye, ending the call and finding your friends.
When Max won, you clapped unashamedly as everyone else seemed to join you in your excitement, and after the race celebrations were done with, you waited patiently for the text to get to your phone.
"So you're staying back?", Cara asked, "I am, I'm meeting a friend", you explained. At her curious stare, you furthered, "do you remember the guy I told you about when you tried to set up that double date?", she nodded, "yes, the guy you were friends with, and when you both wanted to take a step forward, he had this big shot as his dream career and his father wouldn't allow him to date anyone", she said as she realized, "my goodness, he's here? Y/N, go for it!", she encouraged, "I know you still have feelings for him, who knows? Maybe this is your chance to reconnect", she rubbed your shoulder.
After you bid goodbye to Cara and Matthew, a text go through to your phone.
From: Max
Mum is waiting for you at the door :)
Approaching the hospitality, you quickly spotted Sophie, "c'mon in, dear! Max wanted me to get you myself, he was afraid no one would ler you in", she chuckled, guiding you through until you were in their dining area.
"Y/N!", Max beamed, setting down the crayons he was drawing with at the table with Luka and walking up to you.
"Hey everyone!", you waved at Victoria, putting a pin the two little boys' curious stares as they looked at you so you could hug Max.
"Congratulations, Max, I knew you could do it", you whispered into his skin, his arms hugging you so tightly against him.
"Thank you, Y/N", he spoke, "I missed you so much, I missed this so much", he squeezed you one more time before allowing you to greet the rest of his family.
"This is Tom, and that's Lio and Luka", Victoria said after she hugged you tighlty, "say hi, guys!", she encouraged as the two little copies of Max waved back at you.
"We're going to head home, it was great seeing you, Y/N!", Sophie announced, "I'm sure we'll see eachother a lot more from now on", Victoria complimented, helping her husband pack up the kids' belongings and toys so they could retire to Max's apartment.
"I was wondering if you wanted to have dinner sometime this week", he jumped straight forward, "I'm having dinner with the team today and then the rest of the grid want to go to the club, so I wouldn't be able to spend that much time with you, and I want to be able to just focus on you", he smiled.
"That's fine by me, I appreciate the thought", you smiled as he led you to one of the tables, asking one of the caffé staff for something to drink for the two of you.
“Listen, I think, I think we found each again for a reason", he began boldly, not sure if this was the way to go after not having spoken to you in a couple of years. Still, it wasn't a lie.
"Define found, considering we've been iving in the same city for nearly a year", you smiled, "although you don't spend much time here anyway, so I guess that's a nice enough excuse", you teased, your foot tapping his shin playfully under the table.
"So, Monaco, hm?", Max started, "I didn't expect you to live here out of all places", he nudged, wanting to know more about your move but afraid he was stepping in vulnerable territory.
"I did it because of my earnings for sure. I've got to save as much as I can on tax on the fortune I make as a female engineer", you sternly said as he looked the most surprised you'd ever seen him, "I'm joking - not all of us move to Monaco so our million euro salaries have better taxes", you teased.
"Why did you do it, then?", he asked, smiling at how familiar it all seemed. Just like old times, he thought.
"The company I work for was the one that needed the tax benefits", you clicked your tongue, "and they wanted people to move here. Only one of my colleagues moved here with her whole family, as they expected, so they ended up calling the ones that weren't attached to anything or anyone in particular, and I was one of them", you shrugged your shoulders, "I moved to a new country with a different language, the only people I knew were my work colleagues, so I had no one to complain about them to, but I make it work - at least I like to think I do", you smiled.
Not attached to anyone, he recalled, humming at your response, "it's not such a bad place to live, right? Granted I don't spend much time year, but still enough to appreciate it", Max spoke.
"How about you, Mr World Champion", you nudged, "how does it feel?".
"Obviously it's great, and everything that I worked for", he added, knowing the underlying topic in the conversation, "I get to drive fast cars and I travel the world, there's not much left for it to be the complete dream", he said, gingerly touching your fingers over the table and accepting your hold when you laced them together.
Conversation was flowing easily until one of the employees told Max that he would have to go and get ready for the dinner, meaning you would have to part ways.
"Does Tuesday work for you? I'm not sure how well I'll be tomorrow", he chuckled, "yes, that's fine by me, just text me the address and the time", you smiled, getting up and kissing his cheek, "have a good time, Max, but be careful with the alcohol, I'd hate to have to pick you up again", you reminded him of the time he got way too drunk and he insisted he would only go home if you came to pick him up.
.
Dinner was great and Max invited you back to his place, hoping you'd be able to talk properly about the elephant in the room in a more private and comfortable place.
"You're struggling there, aren't you? Even with your itty bitty small hands?", Max teased as your pinky just about stretched enough for you to not lose everything by dumping the contents of your bag on the sidewalk.
As you and Max left the restaurant, you fiddled with your wallet in your bag, hoping to keep the card the waiter gave you safe for the next time you wanted to visit the place.
"I do not have itty bitty small hands!", you argued, shaking your bag a little to make sure everything was safely in place.
"We need to have the same starting line - like", you rearranged them so your wrists would be touching. Still, it didn't make much of a difference on your end. It looked like it even highlighted a few more differences, "yours is much bigger, I give up", you giggled.
"See?", Max said as he held your hand out against his, "these are the size of fairy hands! Tinkerbell probably has bigger hands than yours!", he exclaimed as you noticed how much bigger his hand was compared to yours. His fingers were a little bit thicker than yours and his palm covered all of your hand almost completely.
Now or never, Max thought as he laced your fingers in his once you let your arms drop and rest by your side. His thumb rubbed your skin and warmed you up, "was this your plan all along?", you wondered, feeling the bravery around you two and choosing to act on it.
"Lacing my hand in yours or proving to you that my biggest mistake was letting you go all of those years ago?", Max stated as he looked deeply into your eyes.
"We should talk about this inside", you bit your lip, allowing him to guide you through the apartment complex he lived in.
His living room was decorated in classy tones, probably with the help of him mother and sister, as you sat down on the sofa and face eachother.
"I know I apologised at the time, but I'm still sorry, Y/N", Max said, "at the time it was the dream and I didn't have much room for my own decisions. Still, I should've fought", he concluded.
"You didn't blatantly acknowledge it and decided we couldn't be together, Max", you conforted despite the hurt you felt at the time, "it hurt, - like a bitch actually -, but not because you were following your dream. I never wanted to pull you back and get in the way of your achievements", you gulped, "but I would be lying if I said I wouldn't like to give this a go, to give us a chance", you smiled.
"I know I have crazy schedules - I am barely here during the season -, but you were always the one I thought about. When I first raced in F1, when I got my first podium, my first win, my bad races - I wanted you there", he admitted, blue eyes looking into yours, "I can't promise that it will be easy, but I'll never risk you or our relationship, that's non negotiable", he stated.
Moving closer to him, you cupped his cheek with your palm, the slight stubble tickling your skin, "I'm in, Max", you smiled, taking the plunge and kissing his mouth, lips moving in sync as his hands pulled you into his lap.
The blissful moment was interrupted by a meow, Jimmy and Sassy walking into the living room, "Oh, guys", Max held you close to him as the cats sniffled you, "this is Jimmy and Sassy, my cats, took then long enough to leave the guest bedroom", he smiled as you tried to pet them, "cute, they seem nice enough - for cats anyway".

i come to you with a blurb thats been in my head because i desperately need it rn 😭
like,,, idk if its been said before BUT imagine nico helping you study!! youre taking your master's or maybe you're finishing up a long degree! regardless, he's ready to help you with your flashcards and notes and books and he gives you a lil smooch and a chocolate when you get one right! but he's very serious about it being just one kiss!! you have to study after all!! but.....maybeeee....sometimes...he'll add in another and another and another just because you look so cute when youre focused <3 and when he feels you getting tired or burnt out after it all, he obviously gives the best cuddles!
“baby, just one more question, and then you get 10 minutes of couch cuddles until we start the next unit,” nico would encourage you, knowing how frustrated and tired you’re becoming.
“nico i don’t want to do anymore tonight, we’ve been at it for three hours already. can’t we just called it quits after this last question?” you’d whine, ready to just drop out altogether, tired of spending every free moment you have doing homework.
he knows he shouldn’t have caved earlier, letting himself get too carried away when he decided to give you three kisses instead of one when you managed to get ten questions right in a row. the result was a thirty minute make out session that neither of you wanted to cut short, but he fought tooth and nail to get you back on track.
he mulls the thought over, knowing you’re getting antsy and ready to pack everything up for the night, but also knowing how much you’ve been stressing over this test and wanting to help you go into it as confident as you can.
“give me five more questions and we’ll call it a night, deal?” he tries to compromise with you, knowing you’ll complain all day tomorrow if you quit right now.
you roll your eyes and groan at him, throwing a silent fit with the look on your face.
“okay, five more questions then we put everything away and i’ll lay with you on the couch and rub your back while we watch dancing with the stars reruns,” he offers, using your current fixation show against you.
you perk up at the offer, always having to beg and plead for him to even watch one episode with you because ‘why would i want to watch a bunch of washed up celebrities do ballroom dances poorly?’
“deal,” you decide to agree to his terms, readying yourself for a night of cuddles and ripped men with no shirts on.
chuckling, nico picks your flash cards back up and goes through the next five questions with you, smiling proudly when you get all five right.
“eeek! okay, now hurry up and help me clean the couch off, we have a rumba to watch!!” you’d cheer, excited to finally relax with your study buddy.
once the materials are all out of sight and you’re pressed against nico on the couch, you find yourself drifting off to sleep sooner than you wanted, your brain tired after all of thinking you made it do.
“what if i wake up tomorrow and forget everything we just went over,” you mumble into nico’s chest, feeling the rumbles of laughter that erupt at your question.
“baby, i don’t think you’re gonna forget everything. you’ll remember why bruno only gave derek and his partner an 8 instead of a 10,” he jokes, upset that he’s actually managed to get partially invested in this show.
“maybe if they converted the material into judges speeches delivered by bruno tonioli, then i wouldn’t even have to study. the initial delivery would be enough to stick in my brain for forever,” you groggily replied, nuzzling your head further into nico’s chest.
he shook his head and rolled his eyes at you, even though you couldn’t see him because yours were already closed. he knows you’re the smartest person he’s ever met, and you’ll do fine on this test and all of the future ones you have to take.
but he won’t ever let you forget that he helped, claiming he should get his own form of rewards for doing half of the work with you.

Careful what you wish for...
Tumblr media
Pairing: Aemond x fem!reader (as always i'm not used to use the first person p.o.v. mainly because in English i usually mess everything up by trying to fit verb tenses together so i hope everything is comprehensible).
Warning: 18+, MDNI, Fluff, but a little smut towards the end (i'm trying to emprove and i hope is not cringe), and again nothing too explicit 'cause i'm not good at writing it.
Fairly ooc Aemond, of course. A bit tender and affectionate with his old grumpy granny Vhagar.
The title... ehm. Sometimes i find a good one, sometimes no. Sorry.
***
The water of the lake is like a balm on that sultry mid-summer day. You feel as if you go back a few years when, as a young girl, you loved to desert your Septa's lessons so that you could swim in peace and find relief from the heat. You also remembered all too well the reprimand that usually followed those times when you managed to escape, but who knows how you always managed to find new ways to sneak away from the Septa and your damsels-in-waiting to their utter despair.
All is so calm, the sun is warm against your skin despite the freshness of the water beneath you and all is so silent that you can almost hear your heartbit. You like the Red Keep, you like the sense of calmness you feel inside its walls especially when you sit with a book in your hands, but it's still a fortress, and it's impossible to feel completely free in there.
When something huge seems to swallow the Sun above you, you already know who it is: you see Vhagar's shadow heading towards the clearing surrounding the lake and with a slight amused snort you swim towards the shore. Vhagar's landing creates some air displacement, and you hear Aemond giving her orders in Valyrian, before dismounting from the saddle.
"Hello old lady." you approach her slowly with a wide smile, touching the dragoness' snout, which had settled herself into a crescent shape to protect you and Aemond.
"I'm sweating in your place just seeing you in those leathers, you know?" you greet him, chuckling with amusement: how is it possible that he can stand that heavy jacket and even the gloves in that heat? Your laughter dies down, however, the moment you realise that Aemond is serious. "Has something happened, dear?"
"Thank the Gods you are here. We've been looking all over for you, i thought you'd been kidnapped." he scowls you, in a tone that in his intentions should perhaps have sounded stern, but which comes out in a worried whisper. "You shouldn't sneak out of the keep without warning and especially without an escort, it's dangerous."
You didn't think of that, actually.
"I noticed this place the last time we flew with Vhagar and i was hoping to go for a swim like i did as a girl... i'm fine, Aemond, nothing happened to me. You haven't alarmed the whole castle, haven't you?"
Not the whole castle, he replies, but Ser Criston and at least a dozen white cloaks, yes.
He grasp your shoulders and leans his forehead against yours with a sigh of relief, knowing you are safe.
"I'm sorry, i'll be sure to warn you next time." you reply contritely, sensing his tension.
"At least Ser Ammett." he tells you, alluding to your personal bodyguard. "I don't want to restrain you, i want to know you're safe."
You know that, you answer him with a smile. He's concerned, you understand that well.
"Will you give me a little more time before returning home?"
He nods, sitting down into Vhagar's shadow, near her head but far enough from her jaws. Then, he watches you swim for a while, and when you realise he is succumbing to the heat and slipping off his jacket and boots, you return to the shore.
"You must had been beautiful in your youth." you say, caressing Vhagar: what a majestic dragoness she is.
"She's still beautiful." Aemond points out, rolling up his sleeves. "She's just a little bit grumpy but i can comprehend her, since she have to deal with me, hm?" he adds something in Valyrian, and Vhagar snorts softly in response.
"You know Aem, i have to tell you: i didn't think you would last that long with all that clothes on, the Sun is so hot today that you can cook an egg on a rock."
"Is this a subtle way to tell me i had to undress?" he say with a smirk.
That's your turn to sigh, with a fake guilty look in your eyes.
"Not so subtle, isn't it?"
"M-mh. Sometimes you tend to forget that i know you like the back of my hand: you're an open book to me. And besides, as i told you countless times, you only have to ask."
"Care to join me, then, now that you have found out my intentions?"
"...into the water?"
"Well sure, where else? Come on, today it's hot as the dragonfire..."
"Yes, and thanks to you it's even hotter." he replies, looking at the way the wet tunic clings to your form like a second skin. He groans, reaching a hand to your ankle, tracing up along the calf and the crease of your knee and further up on your thigh.
"Later, Aem" you smile at him. You extend a hand in an invitation to follow you. "Come on."
You see him scanning the shore and the lake itself, which is rather calm that day.
"Okay but only up to my ankles."
You point your hands to your sides, arching an eyebrow.
"...maybe up to the knees?" he proposes.
"At least up to the chest, you cannot swim in few inches of water... once we reach the chest, we won't go further, i promise. I'm not asking you to go down-"
"Eh, that's not what you usually tell me."
"Aemond!"
"What? It's the truth." another sigh. "Fine. I can't swim." he confesses after a few moments. "I'm a Targaryen, and we do not swim, we fly."
"That means we'll reach a reasonable distance as far as you feel safe, alright? No jokes, i swear. And in the very moment you feel uncomfortable, we'll go back to shore. I got you, don't worry."
Aemond curls his lips for a moment, looking at you with a strange look.
"Hey, i don't like that gaze: you have something in mind."
"You have to make amend for making me worry." he tells you jokingly.
"Amend? It wasn't my intention to worry you. Tell me then, what do you want?"
"One turn upside down." he proposes, pointing at Vhagar behind him. "Grant us just one turn and i'll join you."
"Here's why i didn't like your gaze." you sigh, looking istinctively at Vhagar, who seems to understand what Aemond is asking: the growl she make is enough for you to shiver.
"Come on, be brave! I'm asking you that for so long and you have yet to see how happy she is when i let her do it. After that, you don't owe me nothing." he then spoke in his language again, saying who knows what to Vhagar, who shortly after shift her attention to you, her pupils pointed into yours. "...see? She's already happy."
"You two will be the death of me."
"Is that a yes? Hm?"
"Yes."
Aemond flashes a smile at Vhagar, and for a second you think you even glimpse a wink.
"You better bring yourself and your wonderful ass into the water, Aem."
"As my lady command." Aemond removes his tunic before running towards the water, diving into it with a loud laugh, leaving you utterly surprised, finally understanding that the whole i'm afraid of swimming story was just a play and above all, what awaits you.
"You... you're so in trouble, Aemond Targaryen." you snort, making him laugh even louder. "Yeah, laugh now, 'cause later, i promise, you'll beg for me to stop."
"Knowing you, you'll be the one begging, and surely not for me to stop."
"..."
Vhagar pokes gently your back with her snout, causing you to lurch forward.
"Easy, Vhagar."
"Why she did this?"
"Because she's happy and she likes you. Less chattering though, come here: water is perfect." Aemond teases you, with a playful smirk.
"Eh, you clearly have no idea what you will have to do to me to make this up."
His breeches suddenly lands at your feet as he looks at you.
"Take off your tunic. Now."
"Look, Aemond, you better not be joking now because you have no idea of what kind of beast you're about to unleash."
"For our sake, woman, just take that goddamned tunic off and make me happy too!"
*
There is something mesmerizing in the way Aemond lets himself go: in those moments you clearly see his armour shattering down and the man you love re-emerge from the depths of his complicated character: once his innate composure has been set aside, once he allows himself to be swept away by the moment, he is capable of consuming you with fierceness -or tenderness- with which he takes you, but at the same time of surrendering himself to you without reserve.
"We should... come here more... more often." Aemond is panting beneath you, still lost in the aftermath of his last climax. He rests his head against yours, smiling as soon as he feels your lips right above his scarred eye, in one of your usual affectionate gesture.
"Uh-huh." you agree, holding your legs so tight around his waist that you can feel his still hard length pulsing into your clenching walls, his hands steady on your hips. He rest a while inside you, a thing he likes to do knowing that you also enjoy. "At least i can hear your laughter again, it doesn't happen so often."
"I know, i'm sorry. Being a Targaryen is no joke."
Sometimes when he's back from a council meeting, you can clearly see the armour he wears to hide his real self so no one could take advantage of his flaws, his humanity. Something you can totally understand as it's not easy at all being part of a reigning family and you know, you know so well that is safer for Aemond to protect himself in that way but sometimes you feel like he's closing even you out of him.
"You okay?"
"Yes, I'm fine. Just give me a minute, i feel sore all over and my legs don't cooperate." is your reply, moving a little to relieve a cramp.
"Oops… sorry, my bad."
"Stop it, you're not sorry at all."
He chuckles, and you feel him hardening again, but Vhagar lets out a loud snort, distracting both of you.
"You're right, old friend. Let's go." sighs Aemond. "We all need to rest and you still owe me something."

Pre-Relationship Headcannons- Shiu Kong
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
SFW headcannons about your relationship with Shiu, somewhat proofread, no use of (Y/n), names mentioned are "Doll", and "Sweetheart".
Dividers by @animatedglittergraphics-n-more
Tumblr media
This man had his eyes on you the moment he met you. You had piqued his interest when you were introduced to each other but kept it professional. Your age difference also playing a role in Shiu's initial dismissal.
UnFortunately, after entertaining your jokes and engaging in a few too many conversations the man gave up and fell into his natural charm. The pet names "Doll" and "Sweetheart" falling from his lips all too often.
If you also smoke, you'd spend time after a mission or simply during breaks smoking together in his car, sometimes in complete silence. He'd send you the short text, "smoke?".
He'd even go as far to buy the specific brand you like, calling it a gift for finishing assignments on time or for being his most reliable assassin..."The one that gives me the least headaches"
Toji thought Shiu was going through a midlife crisis when he saw the additional amount of cigarette boxes...
Once before a particularly hard assignment, you had joked to Shiu just before leaving the car to take you out to dinner if you manage to make it out alive. He replied shaking his head with a slight smirk. "Deal, as long as your legs still work".
You had made it back unscathed. After telling Shiu any necessary information of how your assignment carried out, the ride back continued in a comfortable silence as per usual . You had appreciated the quiet- being so exhausted- you sat in the passengers seat limp, head resting against the window with your eyes shut, in a temporary lull; only daring to open them once you felt the car halt. Slowly sitting up, you let out a deep sigh and stared aimlessly at the glove compartment as you prepared yourself to move.
"You're not busy this Friday, are you?"
"Hm- no why?"
"Because I've got to take you out Doll."
Tumblr media
In due time you will realise I am completely crazy about this man.
He needs more appreciation!!!
I hope to write a proper fic about him soon, possibly based off of this.
Please feel free to leave any ideas/recomendations!

You smiled to yourself when you saw a familiar tall, lanky, scarred, absolutely endearing man walk into the café. He had a habit of dropping in every day. Sometimes twice a day. He'd come to be one of your absolute favorite regulars.
"Hi, Remus," you grinned brightly at him as he came to the counter.
"Hi," he replied shyly, his cheeks a little pink. "How are you today?"
"Can't complain. We've had a pretty slow day, but I'm not mad about it."
"I suppose it's a good thing I've come in, then. I've got to keep this place up and running," he joked lightly.
You chuckled, shaking your head. "Want your regular?"
"Please," he nodded, smiling a bit at the fact she knew his order. "Also whatever you'd like."
"What?"
"I'd like to pay for whatever drink you'd like, too. You told me last time that you only get one free drink per shift," he said with a small shrug.
You blinked, looking at him in a bit of surprise. "You really don't have to do that."
"I'd like to. If you'll let me."
"Really?" you smile again.
"Really. It's the least I can do."
"I'm only doing my job," you let out a breathy chuckle, your own cheeks heating a little. Though you wouldn't admit it, you'd begun to harbor a small crush on the man. "No big deal."
"You go the extra mile. Nobody else has ever bothered to remember my order."
"Well... you're easy to remember."
His cheeks went even pinker as he sighed softly. "You are... unnecessarily kind."
"Is that a bad thing?"
"Not at all."
You smile again, writing on the two cups, then give him the total. He pays, leaving much too generous of a tip as always, and goes to sit down. You start on both of your drinks, debating in your head what you should do. Was it wrong to hit on a patron of the café? Maybe. But was he terribly cute and really sweet? Definitely.
You quickly scribbled your name and number on the cup, then called his name.
He walked up with a sweet smile. "Thanks."
"No problem. But... Maybe next time, I can buy you a drink?"
His brows rose. "This is your job. I don't want you to feel like you have to pay for me at your workplace."
"Then maybe I could buy you a drink someplace else?"
He blushed fiercely. "Oh."
"Unless I'm picking up the wrong signals, of course," you shift on your feet. "I've been thinking you just really liked coffee, but now I'm not so sure."
"You're much sweeter than the coffee," he admits with a soft voice.
You bite back a grin. "In that case... my number's on the cup, and I'm off at six. Maybe text me?"
He swallows, his eyes wide as he nods. "That... that sounds great."
"Good. I'll see you around, then?"
"Next time, maybe not just for the coffee," he smiles, nodding again once.
He walks out of the café a minute later, leaving you giddy on more than caffeine for the rest of your shift. The second you clocked out, you checked your phone, seeing a message from an unknown number:
You made my heart race a lot faster than the coffee today. Thanks for asking me out, I don't think I could have worked up the nerve myself haha
This is Remus, by the way.
You laughed softly, typing a quick response.
Now you'll have to tell me your second favorite place to get drinks. Can't wait :)

What are friends for?
Tumblr media
Note:
This is my first ever post, so please be kind! I've been working on this piece for a few days, and there will be more parts to come, but it may take some time to complete. The story will also include text messages between you and your friends (SMAU). I'll do my best to maintain a good length for the story, but there may be some shorter parts. Also, I'm new to this, so there may be a few errors, but I hope you enjoy the story! :)
Status: ongoing!!
Updates: Whenever I can, no set date.
WC: 2756
Description: Characters are aged up. Y/N's stuck in a toxic relationship with her controlling boyfriend, feeling lost and doubting herself. Now, she's facing a crucial choice: stay put or find the courage to break free and reclaim her independence. Pairing: megumi fushiguro x FEM!reader
Genre/Warnings: [18+] This story contains toxic boyfriend, cursing, name calling, self-doubt/hate, angst, breaking up, post-breakup, alcohol, drunk moments, new friends, dating!au, college!au, no curses!au, dark humour, dark jokes. SMAU.
Tumblr media
Your friends have been telling you to leave your boyfriend for months now. They warned you about him, about his manipulative, controlling, and narcissistic nature, which contributes to his toxicity. They keep pointing out his flaws – how he always wants. No. NEEDS to tag along wherever you go, how he tries to control what you wear and who you hang out with. And don't even get started on the name-calling and arguments that seem to happen like every single day. But despite all their warnings, you find yourself wondering if maybe it's just his way of showing he cares… it was all out of love wasn’t it? If he didn’t care about you he wouldn’t act the way he does…
Right…?
You're constantly caught in a loophole of conflicting feelings. On one hand, you can't help but notice the red flags they've been waving in your face. But on the other hand, there's a part of you that wants to believe there's genuine love behind his actions. He loves you?
Right…?
Still, you can't help but question: does all this make him a "bad boyfriend"? Sure, he's not physically abusive, but his mood swings leave you feeling like you're walking on eggshells. As you grapple with these thoughts, you can't help but wonder where to draw the line between love and toxicity.
"Y/N!"
You snapped back to reality as Maki's voice cut through your thoughts, finding yourself now parked in front of Yuta's house, a 15-minute drive from your own.
"Are you okay? You've been lost in thought the entire car ride here," Maki asked, a mix of concern and confusion evident in her tone.
"Yeah, sorry about that. I was just thinking about the exams coming up," you replied with a forced smile, though it didn't seem to convince her entirely. Luckily for you, she didn't question further.
You made sure to silence your phone before heading out, knowing the argument that would likely occur with your boyfriend over your plans with friends. It wasn't news to you that he disapproved of your friendship with Yuta and Inukami, despite having plenty of female friends himself. Hypocritical isn't it. But today, you decided to take a stand. You were tired of the never-ending arguments and his controlling behaviour. It felt like you couldn't say or do anything without setting him off, and honestly, you were fed up with it.
You felt it was the right decision, even if it meant facing another argument later. You were determined to spend the day enjoying yourself with your friends, and if that meant upsetting him, then you were willing to deal with the consequences. After all, arguments had become a daily occurrence between you two, so what harm would one more do?
You didn’t quite know where this newfound confidence had come from. Normally, the thought of upsetting him would send shivers down your spine, making you hesitant to go against his wishes. But today was different. You were reaching a breaking point, tired of his behaviour and the constant strain it put on you. Mentally, you were drained. Ever since getting together with him, you'd been affected with a sense of unhappiness, a feeling that even your friends had picked up on. All they wanted was to see you happy again, but it felt like an impossible challenge to break free from his control and spend time with them. He dictated every aspect of your life, and you were beginning to realize just how suffocating it had become.
He felt like a never-ending storm cloud, hovering over you wherever you went, casting a shadow of negativity that left you feeling drained and miserable. It was as if his presence drained your strength, both physically and mentally, until you were left feeling defeated. You knew deep down that the only way to find a “cure” was to get rid of him, but it was far from simple. If it were that easy, you would've done it long ago, at the first signs of trouble.
Believe it or not, he wasn't always like this. That's why you were drawn to him in the first place. But as time passed, things only seemed to deteriorate. A part of you held onto hope that he would revert to the person he once was—caring, supportive, and loving. Yet, as months turned into nearly a year, nothing changed. If anything, it only seemed to worsen.
Why? Why did he change? Was it something you did? Was it your fault? Did you somehow fall short? He always made you question your self worth. He made you believe that this was what you deserved—that you deserved to be hurt, to be broken. He convinced you that you weren't worthy of more.
Tumblr media
You and Maki entered Yuta's house, using the spare key you both had. It was a common practice among your close group of friends; you all had keys to each other's homes. After all, you practically grew up together, so there was nothing unusual about dropping by unannounced.
Inumaki and Yuta greeted you warmly as you entered the living room, where they were too focused on a video game. As the hours passed, laughter filled the room, followed by playful teasing and occasional cussing at each other due to the intense gaming moments. You all talked about life, ate your favourite meals, and for the first time in a while, you felt a sense of happiness return. It was as if you were reconnecting with the positive, joyful version of yourself that had been buried beneath the weight of recent struggles.
"I'll be right back! Just need to use the bathroom," you announce before grabbing your phone and heading off.
"Do you want us to pause the movie?" Yuta offers, showing his consideration for your absence.
"No, it's okay! Keep watching, I'll be quick," you assure them with a laugh as you slip away.
Time flew by, and before you knew it, it was almost 9pm. Your peaceful day took an abrupt turn when you saw multiple missed phone calls from no other, your loser of a boyfriend.
Tumblr media
**5 MISSED PHONE CALLS AND MESSAGES BETWEEN Y/N & BF**
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Luckily, Maki, Inukami, and Yuta were too engaged in the movie to notice your lengthened absence. However, tears welled up in your eyes as you read the messages, feeling the weight of self-doubt creeping in once again.
"I’m just a bitch. That’s all I am. I'm nobody," you muttered to yourself, your eyes red as you struggled to contain your emotions. You couldn't afford to show weakness in front of your friends. This shouldn't affect you, you reminded yourself. You knew this was coming, so why did it hurt so much?
Knock Knock
A knock on the bathroom door interrupted your thoughts. "Hey, Y/N. You okay in there?" Maki's concerned voice broke through your internal chaos.
Fuck.
Of course, Maki sensed something was wrong. She had picked up on it the moment she picked you up. She wasn't one to pry, though. She respected your privacy, and if you didn't bring up the issues first, she wouldn't force them out of you. That's why you cherished her friendship so much—she was the best friend anyone could ask for.
You wanted to tell her, you really did, but you knew all too well what her response would be, and frankly, you didn't want to hear it—not today. All you wanted was to be with your friends, to immerse yourself in their company and forget about your troubles, if only for a little while. You didn't want them worrying about you or your mental state. So you took a deep breath and plastered on a smile, hiding all the negativity like you always did.
"Yeah, sorry about that. I was just on the phone with my mom," you said, forcing a smile as you opened the bathroom door, only to be met with Maki's skeptical expression. Her raised eyebrow spoke volumes, questioning your excuse without saying a word. But she didn't press further. Instead, she offered a soft smile and placed a comforting hand on your back.
"You're missing the movie. We decided to pause it when you didn't return after five minutes. Come on, let's go," she said gently, leading you back to the living room.
You both made your way downstairs and settled back onto the couch, resuming the movie with the others. After a few minutes, Yuta stood up from his spot and took a seat beside you, leaning in closer to whisper in your ear so only you could hear him.
"Hey, I know you haven't been feeling your best lately, and I understand why... But I want you to know that you can always talk to me. To us. We're here for you, no matter what." he whispered, his words causing your heart to stop for a moment. A soft smile spread across your lips as he leaned back, his eyes meeting yours with warmth.
"Thank you," you replied softly, leaning your head against his shoulder as the movie continued. Resting on each other like this was a familiar gesture among your group—it was something you all did since childhood, a sign of trust and comfort. So when you leaned on Yuta's shoulder, it wasn't a romantic gesture—it was more like seeking comfort from an older brother figure. Your friends have always been there for you, caring and supportive, much like older siblings would be.
Finally the movie finished, with the time now showing 11:16pm—it’s very late, thank god you guys had no classes scheduled for the next two days.
"It's getting late, Y/N. Are you ready to head back?" Maki asked, her expression soft with concern.
Before you could answer, Inukami jumped in with a hopeful tone, asking if you guys could stay a bit longer. You could tell he was really loving the reunion, bringing back memories of all the fun times your group had shared in the past… just like before you got into a relationship.
"Yeah, come on, Maki and Y/N! We haven't had this much fun in a while. It feels good for the group to get back together again," Yuta chimed in, his gaze shifting between Maki and you. The collective attention turned to you, though you knew it wasn't intentional—they subconsciously understood that the decision rested with you, or rather, with your boyfriend's expectations.
Even though it was late, the idea of going home to an empty house, knowing your boyfriend would be out, doing who knows what, filled you with dread. You knew it would only trigger more overthinking and anxiety so with a reassuring smile, you decided against it. Tonight, you didn't feel like going home, and that was perfectly okay.
"Fuck it," you thought, smiling back at them.
"Why don't we have a sleepover?" You ask, breaking the silence. Their eyes widen in shock, the suggestion catches everyone off guard. It's been a while since the last sleepover, back before you started dating your controlling boyfriend. They've tried to organize some since then, but you always declined, due to your boyfriend's disapproval.
Of course. Typical.
Their initial shock quickly turns into smiles and nods as they exchange glances before turning back to you.
"Let's do it!" Maki says with excitement.
All of them cheered in excitement, and the lively conversation continued throughout the night until exhaustion finally led to all of you drifting off to sleep on Yuta's spacious and comfortable couch. Despite the cozy setup, you found it hard to sleep as your mind continued to race, clouded by thoughts of him once again. Unable to find peace, you quietly slipped outside to the backyard, just to get some air.
Yuta awoke shortly afterward, noticing your absence. He got up from the couch, careful not to disturb Maki and Inumaki and began searching the house, half expecting to find you sleeping in his room. But you weren't there. He started to slightly panic as he considered the possibility of you leaving without informing anyone. How did you get home? Was something wrong? Why would you leave without saying anything?
As his mind rushed with worry, Yuta made his way to the backyard door and spotted you sitting on the stairs. Leaning against the door frame for a moment, he gathered his thoughts before joining you outside, silently taking a seat beside you.
"Hey," Yuta says as he settles beside you.
You jump at the sudden sound, caught off guard by his unexpected presence. "Omg, Yuta," you playfully shove his shoulder, "don't sneak up on me like that."
"Sorry," he chuckles softly, "didn't mean to scare you."
"What are you doing out here this late?" he questions.
"Couldn't fall asleep so I decided to get some air."
"Something on your mind?" He asks with concern.
I smile at him. "No."
"Come on, Y/N. I've known you for years; you think I can't tell when something's on your mind..."
You both sit there in silence for a moment before he speaks up again.
"Is it—"
"Mhm. But I don't want to talk about him. I'm here with you guys today, and that's what's important. Not him," you state, trying to change the conversation away from your boyfriend.
Yuta gives you a reassuring smile and nods, but then an awkward silence settles between you. It's unusual; conversations with your friends usually flow effortlessly, so why does it feel so difficult now?
After a moment, you decide to break the silence.
"Yuta..." you begin hesitantly.
He meets your gaze with a soft look. "Yeah?"
"I'm thinking about breaking up with him, you know," you confess.
Yuta's eyes widened in shock, a spark of excitement shining in him. As your best friend, he genuinely cares about your well-being and wants what's best for you. They all do, and they know that leaving your boyfriend will bring out the best in you, bring back the real you.
"Really?! How come... I mean, I already know why, but I'm just curious after all the times we've mentioned it to you, you never really pa—"
"Yuta," you interject, giggling at his enthusiasm.
"I've been doing a lot of thinking, and being here with you guys today reminded me of the times we used to have together before him and I got together. And honestly... I haven't felt happier and more relaxed in a long time until now. It's like when I'm with you guys, I'm constantly smiling, laughing, talking, and I never feel judged. But with him, I feel so... miserable. I don't even remember the last time he and I actually talked and had a laugh together. It's always arguments, and he's the one who always starts them over nothing."
Yuta places a comforting hand on your shoulder and gently wipes away the tears on your face. You hadn't realized you were crying. You tried your hardest not to cry for months, but while telling Yuta how you felt, you couldn't hold it in anymore.
"Shhh... it's okay, Y/N. I'm glad you feel like yourself when you're with us. You deserve so much better than that jerk," he reassures you, his words bringing a sense of comfort.
He never fails to make you laugh.
"Thanks, Yuta," you say gratefully.
"Hey, what are you guys doing outside?" Maki and Inumaki mumble sleepily as they stand at the door.
Yuta grins mischievously and glances over at them. "What's with that ugly grin?" Maki jokes, prompting laughter from everyone.
"MAKI!" you all shout in unison, teasing her.
Yuta can't contain his excitement any longer. "Y/N is planning on breaking up with her boyfriend!" he blurts out.
If Maki and Inumaki thought they were awake before, they're definitely wide awake now. They exchange shocked glances between you and Yuta, repeating the gesture several times. You can't help but smile; despite the gravity of the situation, you feel a sense of pride. Proud that you've finally gained the courage to do something you've been wanting to do for months.
"You're not messing with us, right? Because I swear to god Y/N, if I find out yo—" Maki begins, her voice tinged with concern.
You cut her off before she can finish her sentence. "I swear I'm not messing with you guys. I'm going to do it tomorrow night."
Tumblr media
Yipeee!! Go Y/N!!! finally we've all been waiting for this moment.
im currently working on the next part so please be patient!
Also, thank you so much for reading!

Hawks' Pretty Bird
Hi guys! This is my first story as to what I think being with Hawks is like! If you like it and want another chapter please let me know! It starts off pretty risky as that's how I think it would actually be lol
Tumblr media
“Hey hottie”, you say landing after spotting the number 2 hero perched on a building. Hawks turns towards the sound an eyebrow raised “Jeez, way to make a guy blush, sweetheart. Not to sound cocky, but I take it you're a fan of mine.” He says with his signature grin. He notices the wings behind you are similar to his except for the color. Your wings are beautiful shades of blue. You blush as he stares “I'm guessing you have a bird mutation quirk like me?” You nod “I sure do! Except my feathers are prettier,” you say a hint of playfulness in your tone. Hawks can’t help but smirk “Well, aren't you a confident one. If you keep talking like that, you'll make me act a bit territorial and get possessive of my feathers.” You shrug “What can I say, I do think those eyes of yours are beautiful,” you say with a wink. Hawks laughs “Well, looks like we got a charmer on our hands. You keep up this flattery and I'll end up inviting you back to my place.” You grin back at the #2 hero “Maybe that’s what I’m trying to do but I kinda wanna see this possession you have of your feathers.” Your heart is racing you’re usually not this bold but after your last relationship, you decide on a different approach. “Heh,” he laughs “careful what you wish for. But just a fair warning, once I lay a claim on something it's usually a done deal. You sure you can handle it?” You smirk and the man’s cockiness, trying not to lose your own you reply allowing your feathers to glide under his chin “Show me what you got bird boy” and with that, you launched yourself into the night sky.
“Oh man, you did not just call me "bird boy" and then fly off like that. You're going to regret that comment once I catch up to you.” He mumbled to himself Keigo's wings flap rapidly as he propels through the night sky, trying to keep up with the speed of your flight. He can't help but wear a competitive grin on his face as he chases after you. “Looks like we got ourselves a little speedster over here.” He says his tone teasing, you laugh once more “Come on #2 I thought you were the fastest hero” Keigo grins as you laugh, the competitive fire in his eyes growing stronger. He pushes himself harder, his wings beating fast as he catches up to you. “Oh ho, so now you're teasing me. I'll have you know I'm the number 2 hero, and I can prove it right now. You might be fast, but there's no one faster than me.” you suddenly stop facing him flapping your wings to keep you afloat you laugh as he crashes into you allowing you both to free fall. Keigo lets out a surprised yelp as you suddenly come to a halt, causing him to crash right into you. His eyes widen in shock as the two of you fall through the air. He quickly regains his composure, grabbing onto you to stop your descent. The thrill of the adrenaline rush was coursing through his body, but also he couldn’t help but feel a bit annoyed at being bested so easily. "What the hell was that for?" you laugh rolling out of Hawks's grasp and begin flying next to him poking at his side “I wanted to see how fast #2 was” Keigo rolled his eyes at your teasing, but he couldn’t help but let out a slight chuckle. He continued to fly alongside you, his wings flapping swiftly through the night sky.
“Oh, so you chose the most dramatic way possible to test my speed, huh? You’re quite the mischievous one, aren’t you?”
“What can I say” Keigo chuckled at your response, a sly grin playing on his lips. He continued to fly alongside you, occasionally flicking his wing feathers in your direction to tease back. “You know, if you wanted to test my speed, we could have done something a bit less reckless. Like a race instead of a free-fall.” you giggle at the sensation of the feathers “I thought you’d like a challenge” He couldn't help but let out another chuckle as you giggled at the sensation of his feathers. He took a moment to glance over you, his gaze lingering on your form for a brief moment before returning his attention forward. “A challenge, huh? Well, I can’t deny that I do enjoy a little competition. But if I win, you owe me something special.”
"You’re on" Keigo’s competitive spirit flared up at your acceptance of the challenge, a cocky smirk now plastered on his face. "That’s the spirit! You’re in for it now. The winner gets a special prize, deal?" "Deal race you back to your place" you laugh as you launch further into the sky Keigo let out a low chuckle at your quick exit, his eyes narrowing in focus on the challenge at hand. He pushed himself forward, his wings beating faster and stronger, propelling him forward through the night sky toward the direction of his home. He called out to you as he flew. "You’re gonna eat your words, sweetheart!" you laugh at his words, with his apartment in sight you dash towards the open window not seeing Hawks suddenly arms wrap around you as you crash land into the apartment. Keigo lets out a victorious chuckle as he wraps his arms around you, and crash landing together on the floor of his apartment. He pins you down, holding you in place. His breath comes in short pants as the adrenaline coursed through his veins. He looks down at you, a sly grin on his face. "Looks like I win." You blush at the position you’re in "Technically it was a tie"   Keigo lets out another chuckle, feeling your body beneath him. He shifts his weight on top of you, not bothering to release his grip just yet. "Tie, huh? I don’t remember agreeing to a tie. A deal is a deal, sweetheart. I think that means I get my prize now."
You roll your eyes, "Yeah yeah what is it?"
Keigo grins down at you, his eyes raking over your form. He continues to keep you pinned beneath him, savoring the moment. "Hmm, let's see... I do love the feeling of victory. So maybe I'll take some credit for the prize." He lowers his face closer to your ear, his breath sending a shiver up your spine. He whispers into your ear. "How about I claim you for tonight?"

⚣ Therapist BatBro 👓
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
⚣👓 A/N → Therpist BatBro makes his debut. The second pic is honestly what I feel a therapy session in the Wayne family would look like. This is from another request I got from my previous account.
⚣👓 Summary → Your family isn't pleased with your new hobby or group of friends. But, somehow you've made it a business. Gotta respect the hustle at least.
⚣👓 Words → 2.3k
REBLOGS and replies are greatly appreciated, please! 👓
⚣ ENJOY 👓
Tumblr media
The way I see it, you're either a vigilante with the fam and all the villains just seem to like you for some reason and ask where you are during a battle OR you're not a vigilante and you volunteer at Arkham (which would be absolutely insane but it's Arkham so it breaks even) and everyone there is cool with you. Even the Joker (which won't fly well with Jason at all).
We're going to go with the second option for this one.
So, since Bruce was adamant about you not joining the family business as a vigilante since you were the youngest and he had an unyielding urge to protect you and your childhood innocence, you needed to find something to do in your free time.
What better than to volunteer at a crazy house for psychopathic murdering villains?
Of course, considering Arkham was filled mainly with criminals your father had put there along with your siblings, it probably wouldn’t be wise to do that since they’d obviously wouldn’t approve.
SO, you did it anyway and just didn't tell them.
BatBro contemplating...
Tumblr media
Duke was the first to find out. Batman had supplies Arkham needed but since he was at work and Duke always took the day shift as everyone liked to joke, who better to drop it off than him? Imagine his surprise when he finds his baby bro in there serving ice cream to Mr. Freeze.
"Here ya go Fries, my man. I sprinkled some ice shavings on there to make it a little tangier for you..." You said handing him the cone.
"Ha ha ha, aren't you hilarious." Victor Fries replied with a genuine smile. As far as The Signal persona knew, he was only capable of smirking or mean-mugging the shit of people, with the exception of an occasional shivering face while mocking someone for how cold they were.
'Oh, they're not gonna believe this...' Duke thought, racing home right after. The way he left the institution, the guards almost thought there was a breakout or a fight going on. Nope, but there might be when he told everyone.
Of course, no one believed him at first, just staring at the dude as if he just said the craziest thing in the world like Bruce being an emotionally available parent.
When you came home that night acting cagey and weirder than normal, they figured something was going on and maybe you were at Arkham but for something completely different than what Duke thought it could be. Because, there would be no way Bruce Wayne’s, aka Batman, own son would ever even consider fraternizing with criminals, let alone his enemies. Right?
So, like any other sane, normal family who responded to distressing situations with maturity and rationality... they spied on you.
Damian, Tim, & Cass followed you the next day. Tim was understandably distraught but also curious how you could have managed to form a friendship with Gotham's criminally insane.
Like...THEY WERE INSANE. But, when he really thought about it, considering the family you came from...yeah, okay. He can see the correlation now.
Damian, however, refused to believe his little brother could be so stupid and dense. How could you form relations with the enemy like that? It was stupidity. Plain idiocy at its finest. It was betrayal!
On the other hand, it was a smart move looking from an assassin's point of view. You know the whole keep your friends close and enemies closer deal, but that was his thing. Not yours! So you'd be getting extra noogies and brotherly beatdowns when you got home. In the name of camaraderie and righting your careless decisions.
Cass thought it was fucking hilarious.
Upon their arrival and finding you trading riddle jokes with Riddler, their jaws all collectively dropped to the floor.
"Okay, okay okay..." You breathed, calming down from your wheezing laughter. "Riddle me this...I'm neither a man nor a woman but don't hurt my wittle feelings cause I'm still a person. I'll kick you and scream at you, even both during a tantrum. My ego's bigger than my head but shorter than my height, who am I?"
Riddler took a moment to think about it before the metaphorical lightbulb appeared above his head, "Boy Wonder!" He pointed.
"Which one?" You immediately responded.
"The fourth one!"
"Yes!"
Tim and Cass both had to think about it before they realized the clues in the riddle. They're eyes went wide when they realized who you were talking about, and turned to see Damian who looked ready to tear your head off with his teeth.
"He's in for it when he gets home..." He growled through his grinding teeth.
Damian pissed (Left) | Tim & Cass (Right)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Everyone was mildly concerned when they came home that night and asked them how everything went only for Damian's immediate response to be that he was going to get his revenge sketchbook.
Why Damian has a revenge sketchbook, no one knows. But, everyone was just the right amount unsettled by it.
That night at dinner there was a bit of a tense air as Damian had to be placed between both Bruce and Jason to keep him from lunging at you with his salad fork. Usually, you were used to Damian’s somewhat murderous tantrums, but this was on another level.
He almost looked like he would grow horns out of his head at any moment, which would actually be somewhat fitting. Considering he was the grandson of the Demon and all.
You also noticed how Tim and Cass kept weirdly staring at you. Neither of them said something, which was odd(well except maybe for Cass), but you just ignored it and ate your dinner.
That night, you put some of your old booby traps from when you first moved into the manor back into place. You needed some sort of reassurance and protection to help you sleep. At many points throughout the night, you shot out of bed and grabbed one of the many random weapons you had hidden around you when you thought you heard someone trying to sneak into your room.
Damian definitely tried but had learned his lesson after the last time he got caught in one of your traps. You took a lot of inspiration from movies like Home Alone and The Parent Trap.
The next day, Dick and Steph went to check out the mental institution insane asylum.
Steph also thought it was funny like Cass but in a more ironic type of way. She’d rooted for you to get your own vigilante identity and join the family business. So this was like the ultimate petty revenge and she was here for it.
But Dick just couldn't imagine you in a place like this. His sweet adorable baby brother, in this horrid mess? He was calling it, either blackmail or manipulation. A rude awakening was awaiting him around the corner.
They looked to see you in the middle of practicing a handshake with Bane.
"No Bane, fist bump, then the arm wiggle..." You said, showing him the move for the 4th time.
"Oh sorry buddy," He replied.
"No problem man, let's try again."
They watched you go through the whole routine, Steph taking a video on her phone while Dick looked in surprise and jealousy. How come you and him didn't have a handshake like that? Every little brother should want to have a cool handshake with their cool big brother! Was he not good enough?!
Steph laughing in petty (Left) | Dick breaking down (Right)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
When Dick stormed into the manor later muttering about showing you a real handshake, Bruce only raised an eyebrow when Steph walked in looking thoroughly entertained like she just watched the funniest show of her life. It certainly felt like it.
That afternoon, Dick gave you the cold shoulder all day. He even canceled your weekly brother movie night, which shocked everyone, especially your dad. What could have been so bad that would cause Bruce’s first protege to treat his kid brother like this? The same kid who he’d absolutely lose it if they went to anyone other than him for advice or would pout if he didn’t get the first hug from him when in a room full of people.
Of course, he still cracked when you gave him the hurt puppy dog eyes (a trick you learned from Jason that he used to use on Bruce all the time when he was younger). Dick caved and you guys ended up watching a movie, though you were mildly concerned whenever your oldest brother paused the movie and took the time to highlight the friendship and connection between two characters, especially if they were siblings.
Something like a special code, an inside joke, or even maybe a HANDSHAKE. What does it say about a big brother if his little brother doesn’t want to have a cool special handshake with him?!
Subtle.
You just nodded along, making a mental note to avoid any family-oriented films for your next movie night.
But, after this incident, you’d fully managed to get Bruce’s attention. He knew that Dick out of all his children was usually the least likely to get irate over something that wasn’t serious. So the fact that he did, despite how unserious it may have seemed, but it was settled.
Something was going on and your dad, no…Batman was going to get to the bottom of it.
Jason decided to come along with your father, fully prepared to drag you out of the building by force if he had to. He even went as far as calling your boyfriend Conner Kent, aka Superboy, who he and Bruce had a love/hate relationship with because they couldn't really threaten the boy like they wanted to if he hurt you.
Well, Jason couldn’t at least.
Bruce had more than enough kryptonite in multiple storages across his warehouse and had no problem showing it to the half-Kryptonian as a warning.
Conner was more than a little peeved, try fucking pissed when he heard you'd been hanging out with supervillains. And he as well was ready to sling you over his shoulder if he had to. But, probably not in front of your dad who kept throwing pointed glares his way as they moved through the building.
When Batman showed up demanding to see where the volunteer by your name was, they quickly rushed to show him to your location. He couldn't fathom this. The mere thought that his youngest child, his sweet, innocent (on a good day) good-natured son, would be hanging around all his enemies, laughing with them like they were good ol pals?
He'd sooner believe Joker was going to therapy.
The shock of his lifetime was also waiting for him around the corner.
They came around to see you through a window sitting in an office room in business casual attire, holding a clipboard and writing down notes while Joker was laying on a couch with his cuffed hands resting on his chest, venting out his emotions.
"And sometimes, I do feel like I go a bit far. But, I can't take all the blame. I mean, everyone paints me as the villain, but Batsy plays into our little game just as much as I do. Why does he get painted as the hero and me as a crazy clown? Well, you know, besides the clown face, HAHAHA!" He vented, ending with his usual eerie cackle.
"Uh-huh, and how does that make you feel?" You asked while scribbling a few notes on your legal pad and adjusting the fake glasses on your face before turning around at the sound of the door opening.
You felt your heart drop in your stomach when you saw your father, brother, and boyfriend all staring at you with very unhappy looks.
"BATSY! Oh, do come in! We were just talking about you. I think it's about time you and I got some relationship counseling." Joker exclaimed.
Not one word was said while Conner grabbed you by your wrists, (gently of course because he's caring like that) and dragged you out of the room, Jason not too far behind, ready to tear you a new one. Batman held his shoulder, while Joker just watched in amusement, "Guess my hour's up."
You, Bruce, and Jason arguing (Left) | Joker enjoying the show (Right)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
You were immediately brought home after getting an earful from Jason to which you offered him his own free session.
He agreed.
Bruce demands to know why you would even consider going there, socializing with those people.
"Well, seeing as how I can't join the family business, I figured I could do some good in some way. And villains or not, they've got good in them! Just you know, when they're not trying to murder people." You answered.
You were interrupted by your other siblings appearing before you felt an arm forcibly turn you around which Conner raised an annoyed eyebrow at, but he kept his mouth shut.
"What does Bane have that I don't? Am I not good enough as an older brother to have a handshake with?"
You sighed, "Is that why you were so upset the other day?! Ugh, would you like to create a special handshake with me, Dick?"
" Yes! Super secret too! You can't have any handshakes with anybody else!" He hugged you while you patted his back.
Brothers could be so needy sometimes.
You could see your boyfriend eyeing you both with the strangest look. In your defense, he had plenty of warning of how weird your family was.
Before things could calm down too much though, everyone heard a shrill voice screaming your name from the top of the staircase.
"Y/N!"
"Fuck..." You muttered under your breath, before turning to see Tim and Cass giving you nervous looks.
“You were there with Riddler, weren’t you?”
They could barely look you in the eye as you turned to see Damian standing on the banister, holding one of your slippers in his hand.
"Who's short now?!"
Alfred went to get the first aid kit.
Damian with your slipper...

"Pardon?" Jungkook's voice sliced through the tension as he turned around to face you. He knew he had caught something you didn't intend for him to hear. "Repeat what you said," he demanded, his expression hardening. "I didn't say anything," you replied, avoiding his gaze.He stepped closer, his presence looming over you.
"What's so wrong in what you said, Ms. Lee?" His tone was probing, testing your patience. He knew how to push your buttons, and this time, he wasn't holding back. "I'm sorry, Mr. Jeon. May I please leave?"
you replied, forcing a sweet smile, though he saw through it. He didn't want to prolong the confrontation. "Fine," he muttered, letting you pass. You left the building, feeling his glare on your back. Jungkook left soon after, his mood soured by the encounter.
He questioned why dealing with you always left him frustrated and in a bad mood. Meanwhile, you stopped by a convenience store to pick up bread for sandwiches, all the while reminding yourself not to let Jungkook find out about the pregnancy.
You repeated those words to yourself for what felt like the hundredth time that hour. The bread wasn't your only purchase; you also bought pills. After some Google research, you considered them an option to terminate the pregnancy. You weren't entirely sure of their safety, but the thought of an easier solution was tempting.
Back at your apartment, you had dinner and prepared for bed. There was work left undone, but the lack of motivation kept you from tackling it. Overthinking kept you awake, questions swirling in your mind. You needed to talk to someone, to seek advice before making any hasty decisions. But who could you ask? Mr. Jeon was out of the question—a complicated and awkward choice.
You felt suffocated by the overwhelming decision looming over you. The fear of the unknown paralyzed you. Should you keep the pregnancy or not? The weight of the decision was crushing, affecting your sleep and work.
"Hey, don't lay your head on those papers—psst, Y/n, wake up!" Hoseok's voice interrupted your thoughts, annoyance evident. You and Jungkook hadn't crossed paths since that night, a relief that allowed you to breathe easier. But thoughts of Jungkook brought guilt, regret, and fear flooding back.
You couldn't face him, couldn't look him in the eye. He meant nothing to you, nor did his child, yet he was the father. "Y/nnie, you barely eat with me now, you know?" Hoseok's voice was low, tinged with concern as he leaned on your desk.
You shifted your gaze to him, feeling the guilt of causing his concern. "Hey, I'm sorry, Hobi. I just haven't been in the mood for croissants lately." You hoped he wouldn't press further, as you had no answers to give that wouldn't complicate things further and the taste of the pastry leaves you in the verge to throw up.  "It's fine. I could come over to your place if you're free," Hoseok suggested. Relief flooded you at the distraction he offered.
"Of course you can! I'm free over the weekend," you replied with a smile, eager for the company. "Eyyy, movie night!" Hoseok exclaimed, raising his hand for a high five. You chuckled, recalling his fear of horror movies. You returned the high five, agreeing to plan the details on Saturday morning. Movie night was the only good news in days filled with work and research.
The pills seemed like a viable option, but doubts gnawed at your mind. Stress and pressure threatened to overwhelm you. You feared a breakdown at work, the weight of your decision crushing you as the days passed.
Taking a deep breath, you leaned back in your chair, practicing breathing exercises to calm your racing thoughts. Anxiety was setting in, a new and unwelcome companion in this ordeal. You prayed it wouldn't escalate further, knowing you couldn't afford having an anxiety attack.
Denial.
As the days counted towards the start of your third month of pregnancy, emotions overwhelmed you by the surging hormones. Denial about the pregnancy persisted, yet the changes in your body felt uncomfortably real. Visiting the gynecologist that evening to inquire about abortion pills only heightened your anxiety; the doctor's caution about potential side effects left you unsettled.
Returning to your apartment, the feeling of being alone became eerie. Thoughts raced through your mind. Should you tell your mother? No, she wouldn't understand the circumstances of how it happened. Jungkook? He would never believe you and might even react harshly, considering he's your boss.
These thoughts churned in your mind, each one bringing more stress. Physically, your body was starting to show subtle changes—a slightly bloated belly and unfamiliar sensations in your breasts. Acne was fading, but the mental toll was overwhelming.
"Shit, Y/n, I hate you!" Hoseok's sudden outburst snapped you back to reality as he placed sugar cookies in front of you with a groan. Confused by his words, you responded, "Uh, I don't really love you either, but what's going on?" Hoseok grabbed your face gently but firmly. "I hate you for not inviting me over earlier," he clarified, showing frustration but with a touch of softness. His professionalism seemed to have momentarily slipped.
He then mentioned an upcoming business party organized by Jeon Industries to appreciate the employees, scheduled for the next evening. You hadn't been informed, assuming you weren't invited, which made you feel relieved initially—until Hoseok clarified that it was specifically for your team. The idea of socializing while concealing your pregnancy felt daunting, but the prospect of spending time with your supportive team eased some anxiety.
Having procrastinated at work, you'd opted to stay late again, despite knowing Jungkook's disapproval. As you packed up, Jungkook's disapproving gaze lingered on you by the elevator. unbothered, you entered the elevator alongside him, avoiding eye contact but offering a respectful bow before exiting into the parking lot.
With the party scheduled for 6 PM the next day, you had Saturday morning to prepare. Finally getting some decent sleep felt refreshing, and as you lay in bed admiring the morning sun, you found yourself absentmindedly caressing your belly. It was an unintended gesture that surprised you, bringing a fleeting sense of comfort. "Hi? You're not fully formed yet, but still, hi, I guess?" you murmured aloud, half cringing at addressing the unborn child.
Uncertainty running your thoughts; how could you proceed with terminating the pregnancy when moments like this tugged at your heart? Feeling conflicted and isolated, you decided to call your mother. Her initial scolding turned into a conversation about distant relatives. "Y/nnie? Do you remember your mother now?"
She picked up the call and immediately started blasting your eyes with scolding. You laughed hearing her. "Mom, you're adorable." "Adorable my foot! How have you been?" This question. This question doesn't have an answer because you yourself aren't sure of how you've been. "I'm fine, mom. How are you and dad?"
"We're both doing well, honey. Guess what, Bo Young! Your distant cousin, the one who married that tattooed American." There she goes again. You've got no idea why she speaks about them like they've done something so wrong. all she did was marry an American man who decorated himself with tattoos, and that's pretty normal.
You've tried to explain to your mother that it doesn't define who he is but she keeps saying that it's her opinion, she just hates tattoos, it makes the man look like he belongs to a certain tribe and it gives out a negative attitude.
It's her opinion, and there's no way you could change it, so you've just got to bear with her."Yes, what about them?" You asked, inattentive about what she's gonna to say, you don't really care about your family, that's the main reason you loved back to Korea because most of your Korean families migrated to the US and Canada. You fumbled with your sheet, looking at the ceiling and admiring the lot of butterflies you've pasted up there.
"She's pregnant! With twins!"Your heart skipped a beat at the news. The pregnancy word just made your stomach clenched so tight. "R-really?" "Yes, I met them at the supermarket, and she's got a cute baby bump, and her husband wasn't really bad, actually. He helped her throughout , I was being nosy, but I'm so happy for them!"
You smiled. The excitement from your mother's words just made you feel nothing but pain. Here you're pregnant with your one night stand/ ceo boss's child, and you're planning on dropping it while others are starting their families.
"Cool, mom." You spoke softly, not wanting your mom to understand what was going on behind the phone. "I'm waiting to get you married Y/nnie, have your little babies. My little grandchildren run around this empty, quiet house and fill it with love." That wasn't what you wanted to hear. It's making you feel uncomfortable that you sat upright on the bed and tried not to cry. "Mom- I've got to go. I'll call you back later." "Ya, you better call your mother, okay!""I will mom, I love you." "Love you too, honey."
The weight of her expectations—marriage, grandchildren—felt suffocating. It reminded you of the life you weren't ready for, especially now. Tears threatened as you grappled with the reality of your situation. "Why? Why did you—" You choked on your words, unable to finish the thought. The pain of disappointment and self-doubt was overwhelming. Something had to change before it was too late. It was clear that time was slipping away, and each passing moment felt like a countdown to a choice that could alter your life.
-
Selecting an outfit is so time consuming, you've never been to a business party before, so you're not sure what you're supposed to wear. Rosè informed you that you could dress in smart casuals, so you decided to go with the semi formal outfit, pencil skirt, black turtleneck, and buttoned coat. Nothing fancy, just classy and simple, in your opinion.
Once you were dolled up, you left for the office. The party was held on the top floor of the building, Jeon Industries doesn't need to pick a different location when Mr Jeon's building literally has everything.
The lighting was dim and created the ambience so perfectly, especially the soft music playing at the back. It was laid back, everyone looked happy and excited, you could see the wide smiles,
and the ladies ganged up having vodka in their hands, drinking, laughing, and obviously gossiping. You tried finding your team, anyone from the creative team, and the first person that came up to you was none other than Park Jimin, who went missing for weeks, and you've got no idea why.
"Ms Lee, what a pleasure to see you!" Jimin spoke smugly that let you roll your eyes. There's no pleasure in seeing him, of course. He looked gorgeous, you wouldn't lie about it that the man standing in front of you looks so fucking beautiful. Seeing him in full suits are so much more appealing than seeing him with turtleneck and office pants most of the time. He swirled his glass of vodka and took a sip of it while not leaving eye contact with you.
What is he trying to do? Seduce you? Your eyes looked around the place to find Hoseok but you were interrupted by Jimin's words.
"How are you feeling after that incident in the meeting?" you sighed, reluctant to engage with Jimin's probing. Despite your obvious disinterest, Jimin persisted in his teasing manner. "I'm okay," you replied uninterestedly. He nodded, his lips grazing across his own thoughtfully. "I would have appreciated if you had checked in on me too," he added, a hint of mischief in his voice. You rolled your eyes dramatically, but Jimin leaned closer, his tone suddenly serious.
"Are you sure you're not pregnant or something?" His words startled you, and you blinked rapidly, trying to mask your unease. His raised eyebrow demanded a response, and you met his gaze squarely. "There's no way," you asserted firmly, before excusing yourself when Hoseok motioned for you to join him. "Y/n!!" Hoseok gave you a side hug, and seeing his wide smile made you feel at ease and comfortable after the weird encounter you had with Park Jimin.
Hoseok naturally created a comforting and pleasant atmosphere, which made you grateful to have him as a friend. "Wow, you look amazing," Rosè complimented you, leaving you blushing. "And you look stunning yourself," you replied, smiling back at her. Hoseok joined in, saying, "You both look lovely," and the three of you shared a laugh, easing any lingering worries. With Hoseok and Rosè by your side, you felt confident that the night would go well.
"I'll get you some vodka—" Rosè began, but you quickly interrupted, "No." Your tone was firm, and both Hoseok and Rosè looked at you with concern. "I'm not drinking tonight, just some fruit punch for me," you explained, relieved when they respected your decision. At the bar, you and Hoseok discussed how you could have spent the evening together.
"I still think this party is pointless. We should have just hung out at your place," Hoseok complained, a sentiment he had been expressing for hours. It was surprising coming from Hoseok, known for his social nature, but tonight he seemed content with the idea of relaxing at your place and watching a movie.
"Come on, appreciate it a little. This isn't like you, Hoseok. I thought you loved parties," you teased gently, nudging him playfully.
"I do, but hanging out and watching a movie with you is more enjoyable," you smiled warmly. Knowing Hoseok genuinely liked spending time with you made you incredibly happy. You both observed the lively atmosphere around you, with employees loosening up and dancing to the upbeat music.
"Come on, join the dance!" you encouraged Hoseok. "Me? No way," he chuckled nervously. "Show us some moves, Hobi! Go for it!" With a playful nudge, you pushed Hoseok towards the crowd after spending hours chatting with him. Hoseok was known for his fun-loving nature, especially since dancing was his hobby. If there was ever a chance to see Hoseok dance, tonight was it, and you weren't going to miss out.
Hoseok confidently hit the dance floor, effortlessly syncing with the music. It seemed as though the beat was responding to his every move. Rosè and you cheered them on, chanting their names and singing along to the music as they danced. The atmosphere was lively and enjoyable until Jimin joined in. You couldn't help but notice Jimin's incredible dancing skills—his movements were smooth and captivating. Your attention shifted from Hoseok to Jimin and back again as the crowd egged them on to have a dance-off.
They kept the dance somewhat relaxed, mindful of the CEO's presence, but gradually began to let loose, testing the boundaries.
As you stepped out onto the open balcony, the cool night air greeted you, providing a momentary relief from the crowded party inside. The view from the top floor was stunning, the city lights twinkling in the distance. It offered a stark contrast to the pulsing energy and noise inside, giving you a chance to gather your thoughts away from the suffocating atmosphere.
The cramps in your lower abdomen hadn't subsided entirely, adding to your discomfort. You leaned against the balcony railing, letting the cool breeze soothe your nerves. The party was still audible behind you, but the distance helped to muffle the noise, making it easier to focus.Removing your coat, you folded it over the railing and gazed out into the night sky. The stars were barely visible through the city lights, but the vast expanse above gave you a sense of perspective. The uneasiness and fatigue gradually washed away as you took slow, deep breaths, grounding yourself in the present moment.
Tonight had been a whirlwind of emotions and unexpected encounters. From Jimin's unsettling words to Hoseok's comforting presence, the dynamics of the evening had been intense. You felt torn between enjoying the social event and dealing with the personal dilemma weighing on your mind. The idea of terminating the pregnancy lingered like a shadow over your thoughts. It wasn't a decision you could take lightly, especially with conflicting emotions pulling you in different directions.
the events of the evening had only added to the complexity, highlighting the stark contrast between the professional facade and the personal turmoil within. As you stood there, contemplating your next move, a quiet voice behind you startled you out. "Ms Lee?"
Turning around, you saw Jungkook standing there, his expression unreadable in the dim light. His presence caught you off guard, and for a moment, you struggled to find words. "Mr. Jeon," you managed, unsure of how to respond. He stepped closer, his gaze searching yours. "Are you alright?" His tone softened slightly, a hint of concern in his voice that surprised you yet his frown showed his coldness. Jungkook rarely showed personal concern, especially not in such a public setting.
You hesitated, not wanting to dwell too much. "I just needed some fresh air," you replied vaguely, adjusting your posture to face him more directly. His eyes flickered briefly to where you had left your coat, then returned to meet yours. "It's quite crowded in there," Jungkook observed, his voice lowering as if sharing a private observation. His hands were tucked casually into his pockets, his presence relaxed yet attentive.
"Yeah, it got a bit overwhelming," you admitted, grateful for the chance to speak honestly without the usual tension between you. He nodded, glancing out over the balcony as if considering his next words. "I didn't expect to see you out here," he admitted, his tone cold again. You couldn't help but wonder what thoughts were crossing his mind. Jungkook was a complex person, his actions often veiled in layers of professionalism and guarded emotions. Tonight, however, there seemed to be a rare moment of openness between you.
Before you could respond, Jungkook glanced at his watch, breaking the brief silence. "I should get back inside," he said, his voice returning to its usual composed state. He turned to leave, then paused as if reconsidering. "Take care of yourself, Y/n," he added quietly, meeting your gaze one last time before heading back towards the noise and lights of the party.
You watched him go, a mix of emotions swirling inside you. Jungkook's unexpected concern left you pondering over his motives and the complexities of your relationship. Despite the tension and uncertainties, his words lingered, offering a rare glimpse of understanding in the midst of turmoil.
Turning back to the cityscape, you retrieved your coat and draped it over your shoulders, feeling a renewed sense of resolve. The decision ahead remained daunting, but for now, the quiet moment on the balcony had provided a much-needed clarity amidst the chaos of the party.
As you rejoined the festivities, a newfound sense of composure settled over you. Whatever challenges lay ahead, you were determined to face them with courage and clarity, guided by the choices that felt right for you.
The cramp-like sensation persisted, and you couldn't help but wonder if it was the expensive fruit punch causing it. The discomfort had started since you began experiencing morning sickness from your pregnancy. Taking deep breaths, you tried to calm yourself to alleviate the pain. The air was humid after a brief afternoon rain, leaving the floor wet. You gazed out at the beautiful city lights of Seoul from the top floor of Jeon Industries, finding solace in the serene view. As you focused on controlling your discomfort, you sensed someone approaching and glanced over your shoulder.
It was Jeon Jungkook, walking towards you with a glass of champagne in hand. You closed your eyes briefly, letting the breeze brush gently against your face. Jungkook looked out at the cityscape, seeming to avoid the crowded hall because of your presence. He wasn't particularly social unless it was necessary, like at business events meant to thank Jeon Industries' employees.
"Shouldn't you be inside the hall?" he started, a reminder in case any blame was to be placed. "I'll go back soon," you responded calmly, still focused on the view. Jungkook glanced at you, contemplating whether to ask if you were okay after your earlier annoyed attitude."We appreciate the party you organized, Mr. Jeon," you said softly, genuinely expressing gratitude despite not being on the best terms with your boss. Even though you weren't fond of him personally, you acknowledged his mentorship. His nod acknowledged your words, but he noticed you weren't holding a drink.
"Care for a drink?" he offered, and you quickly declined, "No, thank you. I'm not drinking." How could you tell him you were carrying his child? Did he need to know? Would it make a difference? A man of his status wouldn't likely accept a child from a one-night stand. Jungkook fell silent, while you fidgeted nervously with your fingers, the pain in your lower abdomen intensifying. You tried to stand straight but couldn't, shifting your weight to stop the discomfort. You wanted to leave but didn't want to appear rude, especially since you had arrived first.
"Damn it—" you whispered under your breath, catching Jungkook's attention. He looked at you, scanning you from head to toe. "Are you okay?" he asked, concern evident in his voice. You nodded, eager to escape. "I'll go—" you turned to leave before something went terribly wrong. Hastening down the stairs, your heels slipped on the rain-slicked steps, but you managed to grab the railing just in time to avoid falling backward. Jungkook reached out to steady you, but you had already regained your balance.
"Shit. Oh my god—" you muttered, placing a hand on your stomach and taking deep breaths. You were on the verge of a potentially disastrous fall. How had you been so reckless, descending stairs in heels while three months pregnant? Jungkook frowned, not understanding why you were clutching your stomach and breathing heavily. Thankfully, you hadn't fallen, but it had been a close call.
"Fuck, are you okay?" Jungkook asked, taken back by your behavior. However, you seemed to be talking to yourself, not making much sense to him. In reality, you were trying to calm yourself by addressing the child within you. You felt conflicted—angry at yourself for nearly making a dangerous mistake, yet upset that you cared about a child you didn't even want to keep."Ms. Lee—" Jungkook attempted to interrupt.
"Fuck, I don't even know why I'm reacting this way when I want to fucking get rid of this child!" you exclaimed harshly to yourself, forgetting Jungkook was standing beside you. Frozen on the stairs, gripping the railing and your stomach tightly, you couldn't move forward until you calmed down, despite the pain in your abdomen and the waves of nausea making it difficult.

you first moved to barcelona to join barça femení, leaving behind your time with arsenal. it was your dream team and you had finally gotten a deal, and signed with little hesitation. leaving your teammates was the hardest part ─ however, they understood.
the city felt both exciting and overwhelming, a whirlwind of new experiences and challenges. adjusting to a new team, a different style of play, and a foreign culture pushed you out of your comfort zone, but you embraced it all. the vibrant streets, the passionate fans, and the warm climate quickly made barcelona feel like a warm welcome.
you were a bit nervous but after your first few weeks at training, you slowly adjusted. one of your teammates had invited you out to dinner one night with the team and you agreed, hoping to make some new friends.
after a great night with some friends, you got home with a full heart. barcelona felt like home, now too ─ you knew you'd made the right decision.
while you were scrolling on instagram, you felt your phone buzz. you instinctively glanced up to look at the notification, your eyebrows furrowing at the name.
pedri gonzález | hello! i saw you at the party tonight and wanted to say hello :)
your face flushed at the name, pedri gonzález? the young barça star? you couldn't believe it. you had noticed him at the party, but you'd never imagined he'd take the time to message you. taking a deep breath, you typed back a reply, trying to sound casual despite your excitement.
you | hey! thanks for reaching out. it was a great party, sorry i wasn't able to come say hi lol
you hit send and waited, your mind racing with thoughts of what this could mean. was he hitting on you, or just being polite? you shook your head, reminding yourself to stay grounded. after all, you'd just moved to barcelona and had plenty on your plate with your new team.
a few moments later, your phone buzzed again.
pedri gonzález | absolutely! it’s always fun when everyone gets together. by the way, i’ve seen a few of your matches. you’re an incredible player!
pedri gonzález | since you're new to barcelona i'd love to show you around sometime, maybe a smoothie after training. only if you are free 😁
your cheeks flushed as you read his message. was this really happening? it felt surreal. you took a moment to gather your thoughts before replying, trying to keep your cool.
you | that sounds great! i'd love to. a smoothie after training sounds perfect 😁
you hit send and exhaled, feeling a mix of excitement and nervousness. the idea of spending time with pedri was thrilling, but you also didn't want to read too much into it just yet. maybe he was just being friendly and welcoming.
either way, you decided to enjoy the moment.
the next day at training, you couldn't help but feel a bit more energized. you pushed yourself harder, feeling a renewed sense of motivation. after the session, as you were packing up your things, you saw pedri waiting near the entrance, a friendly smile on his face.
"ready for that smoothie?" he asked, his accent thick as his lips curved into a smile.
you nodded, returning his smile. "absolutely. lead the way."
you and pedri both walked down the hallway, a silence creeping up in between you. however, before you could get too far ─ you heard some noise from the end of the hallway.
you made eye contact with gavi and joao, who were grinning mischievously as they approached.
"look who’s getting cozy," gavi teased, nudging pedri playfully.
joao joined in, chuckling. "taking our new star out already? smooth move."
pedri rolled his eyes but couldn't hide his blush. "come on, guys. just showing a friend around."
gavi smirked. "sure, sure. have fun, you two."
joao gave you a friendly wink. "not too much fun, though-"
"okay, shut up." pedri cut off before sending you nervous smile.
you laughed, feeling more at ease with their playful banter. pedri led you down the hallway, the laughter echoing behind you, you couldn't help but feel a little lighter. the camaraderie among the players was heartwarming and reassuring.
once outside, pedri led you to a cozy smoothie bar. the warm barcelona sun was beginning to set, casting a golden glow over the city. you both ordered your smoothies and found a spot to sit, enjoying the warmth around you, a stark difference from england.
"so, how are you finding barça femení?" he asked as you both sipped on your smoothies, sitting at a cozy outdoor café.
"its been amazing, honestly. the team is fantastic, and the city is incredible. but you know, i'm still adjusting, but it's been a great experience so far," you replied, feeling at ease in his company.
"thats good to hear. i'm sure you'll do great here. and if you ever need anything, don't hesitate to reach out," pedri said, his tone sincere.
"thank you, seriously. you didn't have to... you know, show me around." you smiled, a soft blush spreading on your cheeks.
"no, i know. i wanted to," he remarked, a teasing expression on his face. "you know, i don't show just anyone my favorite smoothie place."
"oh really?" you replied, a teasing edge to your tone. "so... you're saying i'm special?"
"very." he answered, not missing another moment. "very beautiful, too."
wow, he wasn't even being subtle anymore. you laughed, shaking your head at his antics. "wow, you really don't hold back, do you?" you said, laughing and shaking your head at his antics.
pedri grinned, leaning back in his chair. "why should i? life's too short for that."
you couldn't help but admire his confidence. It was refreshing, and it put you at ease. "fair enough."
"how'd you like arsenal?" pedri quippied as he glanced back at you. "you liked it?"
"yeah, of course. it was my first team and that kinda just sticks with you, right?" you answered honestly.
"absolutely," pedri nodded, his expression thoughtful. "your first team always has a special place in your heart. mine was a small club, but it means a lot to me."
you smiled, appreciating the shared sentiment. "yeah, it's where you grow and learn so much. arsenal was like that for me. the fans, the teammates, the whole atmosphere — it was something else."
pedri leaned forward, his interest evident. "what was your best memory from arsenal?"
you thought for a moment, a smile spreading across your face. "probably the day we won the FA cup. it was such an intense match, and the feeling of lifting that trophy with the team was unforgettable."
"that sounds amazing," pedri said, his eyes sparkling. "i've watched some of those matches, you were incredible."
"thank you," you replied, feeling a warmth in his praise. "what about you? what's your favorite memory from playing?"
"scoring my first goal for barça," pedri said without hesitation. "the roar of the camp nou, the feeling of the ball hitting the net... i'll never forget it."
"wow, i can't wait for that feeling." you replied, a small smile on your face. "first goals are always special for... you know, anyone."
he laughed at that, nodding as he leaned back. "very special, indeed. and you'll get it. who knows, i may be watching, too."
you felt a blush as he looked at you, a nervous laugh leaving your lips at his intense gaze. "yeah? you'll cheer for me?"
pedri laughed, his eyes crinkling at the corners. "oh, obviously. i'll be your biggest fan. just make sure you celebrate big so i can spot you from the stands."
you giggled, feeling the warmth of his support. "i'll hold you to that. no pressure, right?"
"none at all," he teased, his smile genuine. "but seriously, i'm looking forward to seeing you make your mark here. you've got a bright future ahead, i can tell."
"thanks, pedri. that means a lot," you said, your blush deepening.
the conversation continued, light and easy. you talked about your favorite places to eat, your hobbies outside of football, and even shared a few funny stories from your respective teams. pedri's stories about his teammates had you in stitches, and you found yourself relaxing more with each passing minute.
before you knew it, hours had passed, and the sun had long set. the city lights twinkled around you, casting a magical glow over the evening.
"i should probably get you back," pedri said, glancing at his watch. "its getting late."
"yeah, you're right," you agreed, though you were reluctant to end the evening.
pedri walked you back to your place, the conversation continuing effortlessly. when you reached your door, you turned to him with a smile.
"thanks again, pedri. today was amazing," you said sincerely.
"anytime, y/n. i'm glad we got to hang out," he replied, his smile warm.
you hesitated for a moment before stepping closer and giving him a quick hug. "goodnight, pedri."
"goodnight, y/n," he said softly, his eyes lingering on yours for a moment longer.
as you watched him walk away, you couldn't help but feel excited about the future. barcelona was starting to feel like home, and with new friends like pedri, you knew you were in for an incredible journey.

Her PR Guy -Ch.1
hey everyone! I started this fic a really long time ago, and decided to re-write it for a different player! Let me know if you have any requests and/or feedback :)
Feel free to use this idea for a fic if you're interested; I have no problem with re-using ideas.
Disclaimer
I wrote this story with a trans male insert because I, myself, am a trans dude, and there hasn’t been a whole lot of content in this fandom for trans men.
Backstory
Y/N worked for an NWSL team post-grad, as a social media assistant and decided to hop across the pond to work for Arsenal WFC,  after being offered a job as their primary content creator and media person.
Y/N’s POV
I met Alessia while working in Arsenal’s Public Relations Department. I had just moved on from an entry-level position at Bay FC with little to no idea what type of world I was stepping into. Armed with a passion for sports and storytelling, my job was to run the social media accounts, and help craft stories that captivated fans and media members alike. What I didn’t realize at the time, is that my story would be worth telling someday, too.
It was my first media day working for Arsenal, and I was totally freaking out. I mean, this was my dream, one that I had fought tooth and nail for. I had never dared to imagine this possibility, but here I was, and I felt woefully unprepared.
Get it together (Y/N)! We worked so hard to get here, and we got this. The board believes in us, and so do I!! You wanted so badly to have a fresh start, and here it is.
I went over to the players and introduced myself, "Hey everyone, my name's (Y/N), my pronouns are he/him, and I'm your new PR guy." A lot of the players seemed stunned, probably because I'm a guy working for an WSL team, so I decided to clear some things up. “I’m also a proud trans man who knows that the future is female, especially in sports. I’ll be mainly working with the photographers and videographers to get content for our socials, but I’m here if you need anything.”
Alessia’s POV
After Y/N walked away I was still captivated.
“He’s a cute one,” said Leah.
“Definitely,” I replied emphatically.
“He could be just what the doctor ordered, with your recent breakup and everything,” added Lotte
“He’s easy on the eyes, that’s for sure,” Alessia responded while looking at you as you walked away from the team, ”Let’s just hope he isn’t too full of himself….”
Y/N’s POV
It’s been over a month since I introduced myself to the players, and I can’t get Alessia Russo out of my head. She’s been flirting with me since we met, but I can barely function in her presence, not to mention I literally work for the team. Before I can get too in my head about it, I get a call from my buddy Alex.
“Hey (Y/N/N)! How’s the new job going?”
“It’s going well,” I replied, “I think I have a crush on one of the players though…”
“I fail to see the problem bro,” said Alex.
“You are a hot eligible bachelor, and any girl would be lucky to have you. You even told me that two of the players are together, so workplace dating is obviously not a problem.”
“Yeah, but I’m not trying to deal with another Karen incident!” I exclaimed.
Karen was a close friend of mine in college who really fucked me over. I managed her campaign for Student Body President, and when she found out I had a crush on her she flipped out and cut me off, only after she won the election. She ignored me for weeks following her win, and when we finally spoke about what had happened, she told me she thought it was best that we ‘keep it professional.’ To add insult to injury, all of our mutual friends decided I wasn’t worth sticking around for. I tried to take the high road and didn’t tell anyone my side of things until it was too late and they had already taken her side.
“How long are you going to let Karen control your life? You can’t keep giving other people your power, bro.”
I knew that he wasn’t wrong, but I wasn’t ready to let go of the past.
“Yeah, but this girl is so out of my league it’s unbelievable. Not to mention, I’m pretty sure she has a girlfriend!”
“You sure about that Y/N?”
“Not entirely, but why would she date a loser like me when she has her pick of almost every queer athlete?”
Much to my chagrin, I was not athletic by any means, which was definitely an insecurity of mine. Deep down, I still felt like the sad, closeted, insecure kid with no friends from Middle and High School, despite all of my work in therapy.
“You may not be athletic, but you’re super kind and loyal as fuck. Trust me when I say that what you think you may lack in physical appearance pales in comparison to the type of person you are. You’re full of green flags— except for your inability to take a good selfie, which most people who know you happen to find endearing. Face it Y/N, the only thing that’s standing in your way is you. You control your own destiny, and you my friend are a catch; remember that.” Said Alex
“Thanks for hyping me up, my guy. I’m definitely going to talk to my therapist about this.” I said.
“As you should, Y/N! I’m here for you if you need anything, and I’m only one call away. You got this homie.”
I ended the call and reflected upon Alex’s advice.
Everything you want is in reach and ripe for the taking, you got this Y/N, I thought to myself.

You flick open your envelope to see where you were going to be for the 'honored' Outreach Day. It seems like most people were getting placed into Pilgrim World. Aaaaand you were also one of them. A heavy sigh escapes as you shove the paper into your pocket.
Normies would avoid you out of fear because of your outcast status. Outcasts avoid you out of fear of your known powers. Even then, outside of your chosen few, you didn't bother putting yourself out there. Outreach Day was a farce in your opinion and it masks underlying issues. But, whatever helps morale, you guess.
Feeling a presence, you turn to see both Enid and Wednesday appear by your side. Though the wolf flinches slightly at your attention, she gives you a smile.
"What'd you get, Y/N?" She asks. You could tell her enthusiasm masking her fear of you, but it felt nice to know she was trying.
"Pilgrim World. How 'bout you two?"
"Samesies," Enid replies almost immediately. "I have natural people skills and a love of performing, so it's kind of the obvi choice." You just nod. She was definitely the complete opposite of you. You turn to Wednesday next, awaiting her answer.
"Uriah's Heap, whatever that is."
"Ew. It's a weird, creepy antique store." When Enid feels both yours and Wednesday's eyes boring into her, she backtracks slightly.
"You'll love it though." You just roll your eyes in reply.
"I'd rather be at Uriah's than at Pilgrim World. Less people to stare at me."
"Maybe you'll get better with your social skills." Enid quips, only to squeak and stride away due to your glare.
"She's lucky she's cute..." You grumble. Wednesday raises an eyebrow at the statement.
"Didn't expect loud blondes to be your type, Y/N." You snort in response.
"Hardly but I'm not blind. People like her and Bianca are conventionally attractive," you start. "Just not my type. Not like I'm swimming in options. Not many want a monster as a partner."
A soft scoff sounds from Wednesday. "Not many have any semblance of taste."
You don't get a chance to ruminate on the words as Weems makes her appearance then, her attention on the small goth.
"Wednesday. Don't worry about your cello. I'll have it brought to the town square this afternoon."
The girl eyes the tall woman with suspicion. "My cello?"
The principal explains that she volunteered Wednesday to join the Jericho High marching band after she heard the goth play the other night. As she walks away with a near smug look on her face, Wednesday turns to you.
"Promise you'll hang me as a witch afterwards," she deadpans.
"Good thing I perfected my noose technique."
Wednesday couldn't help but smirk.
-----+++++-----
You're lingering behind the group of outcasts making their way to Pilgrim World. You weren't looking forward to being in those stupid costumes and having to deal with the myriad of tourists flooding the park. The gaggle of students partaking in the photo areas were already grating on your nerves and you're sure that being crushed like Giles Corey would be more pleasant than this torture.
"Why anyone would come here is a mystery..." You mutter. A sudden voice from your side surprises you.
"Pretty sure it's only for the fudge."
Wednesday's appearance confuses you. A few stunned blinks pulls you from the surprise, but only just.
"What are you doing here?"
"Switched with Enid so I could find out more about this Joseph Crackstone. He seems to be a clue into my investigations." A groan from your throat makes the girl furrow her brows.
"Why Enid though?" You whine pathetically. "I would've switched in a heartbeat to be free of all of this." You point to the raving pilgrim talking about witch trials as if to prove your point. Wednesday only shakes her head.
"The thought did cross my mind, but I figure you'll be more useful to me here," she states. "Whether I'd like to admit it or not."
You let out a resigned sigh while inwardly preeninh at the compliment. "At least I won't suffer alone..."
-----+++++-----
Being on the PW Outreach team was made more tolerable with the fact that Wednesday had done things to undermine the weird theme park. Being near the girl made you want to kill less. That's why you now found yourself outside of the closed meeting house alongside her and Eugene, having rescued him from a few normie bullies.
"And what are we looking to find here, Wednesday?" you ask while keeping an eye out. You were no stranger to sneaking around. The goth just rolled her eyes in reply.
"There has to be a clue about who Crackstone is here. I'll find it and be ever closer to finding out why he and I are entwined." She then turns to you with a sharp look. "Come now. We haven't all day. Locks don't pick themselves."
The things you do for this girl. With a exasperated huff, you step towards the meeting house door and place your hand by the lock. A few tendrils pop from your arm and make their way into the opening. After a few seconds, you all hear a soft click and the door opens.
"You'd think they'd install a better lock at least." You flex your fingers as if you had shoved them in the keyhole. "What would you have used if I wasn't here?"
"Eugene's retainer."
Both you and Eugene just stare at Wednesday in disbelief. There's a moment before she shoves you aside and steps into the building.
"Keep watch. If that Mistress Arlene shows her face, deny everything."
"I'm not good at lying..." mutters Eugene. You just pat him on the shoulder.
"Just let me do the talking."
Talking didn't help as the woman bulldozed her way through a moment later, dragging both you and Eugene by the ears as she confronts Wednesday. It was obvious that the woman had dealt with hooligans before, whether during this job or her previous one. At the very least, you learned some things about this place. Mainly that it was fake and the original meeting house was elsewhere. That and the book Wednesday was looking for had gone missing. At least now her investigation would take place away from this place. But that's for another time. You had to deal with fudge churning duties now.
Joy.
-----+++++-----
As soon as you could, you ripped the damned frock uniform off your body and donned your school uniform and hoodie. The sheer relief to have your normal clothing on almost made you sag into the nearest chair. You had used your powers to churn as much fudge as you were assigned and took the first moment to make your exit. You didn't know where Wednesday was, but you definitely need coffee. Pulling your hood up, you make your way to the Weathervane.
Whether it was coincidence or fate, you find Wednesday at the coffee shop, speaking to Xavier.
"I thought you were suppose to be at Pilgrim World?" he asks.
"I deserted it while my sanity was still intact."
"Leaving me to churn all that fudge on my own, mind you." you said, making your presence known. Wednesday just turns to you and shrugs.
"You had Eugene to assist."
"And you think he was any actual help?"
The two of you stare at each other, both with an eyebrow raised. A silent debate happening between you two until Xavier interrupts.
"Uh, you two want coffee? It's one of the many perks of this wonderful assignment..."
"I'm actually here for Tyler."
Both you and Xavier slump at the mention of the boy awkwardly standing away from you three, watching yet not wanting to intrude.
"I told you he was bad news," the psychic retorts. You couldn't help but agree, though for you it was more of a gut feeling than anything.
"Who I speak to is my business."
Wednesday's words had a tone of finality in it causing Xavier to just let out a sigh and ring the bell that was next to him. Tyler meanders up cautiously.
"You rang?"
With that, you check out of the conversation. Finding a seat nearby, you wait for any indication that Wednesday was leaving. Snippets of voices registered in your brain, but none was important enough for you to really react to. At least not until Tyler attempts to offer his help.
"Look, the ruins are kind of tricky to find," he starts. "I could take you this afternoon. My shift ends at 2:00."
Before you could even pipe up and offer a retort, Wednesday beats you to it.
"Principal Weems would hang, draw and quarter me if I miss the big statue dedication." You could see the girl grimace at the thought of the event. "And as enticing as it sounds, I'd prefer to keep a low profile."
"For now..." you murmur, only to have the goth backhand you in retaliation.
"If you're going to pester me you better make yourself useful. Come."
Wednesday immediately stands and exits the café. You could only glance at the two boys before scurrying after her.
-----+++++-----
When you followed Wednesday to the meeting house ruins, you weren't expecting to sit in the rain, waiting for the girl to wake up. You and Thing were impatiently waiting for her to wake up after she keeled over after attempting to leave. You had an umbrella made to keep all of you dry.
"If she doesn't wake up soon, I'm just gonna carry her back to campus."
Thing taps in response.
"I carried her to this spot. It shouldn't be any different."
More taps.
"Yeah, yeah, I know this is the general vicinity but we've been here for like half an hour."
As soon as the word leaves your mouth, Wednesday shoots up with a gasp.
"Thing! Y/N! I saw her! The girl from my vision." She leans into your arms, woozy from sitting up too quickly, but her eyes are still focused. "Her name is Goody Addams and I believe she's my ancestor from 400 years ago."
-----+++++-----
It was really hard not to hate Wednesday's potential suitors. The normie was trying too hard and Xavier was too condescending. How he didn't believe two personal accounts was absurd. Even more absurd than the statue unveiling event you were stuck in right now.
At least you know it was going to get lit. Literally.
You wait through speeches, eyes almost glazed over from utter boredom. The sudden swell of music jerks you into attention and your eyes immediately find Wednesday. With the barest of nods, you get your cue.
Tendrils emerge from your body and creep through the bleachers. Within its grasp, a small fuse makes its way towards the fountain. Hidden away from the view of the spectators, gas-soaked fabric hanging from a pool of gasoline in the fountain stuck out. You attach the fuse and pull back your tendrils. Once you pull away, you hear the strike of a match and a faint sizzle hidden by the band.
Oh this is going to be good.
Your eyes meet Wednesday's as Crackstone's statue bursts into flames and chaos erupts around you. The cellist changes the tune she was playing, allowing the music to reflect the terror around her. Your wide grin almost makes her smile wider.

Little By Little
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Summary: Your girlfriend is dealing with ptsd after a difficult secret mission and its your duty to let her know she doesn't have to hide her pain from you. This is a sequel to ''Let it out'' but also works as a oneshot so don't worry if you havent read it ;)
Warnings: Ptsd related panic attack.
Genre: Slight angst, fluffy comfort
Word count: 1114
-------------------------------------------
The small but heavy paws of Liho walking all over your body woke you up. "Mghrr," you mumbled sleepily. "Morning, sweetheart," Nat said as she gave you a soft kiss on the forehead. Last night, she had fallen asleep in your arms, but now you were the one being held by her strong embrace.
"Your cat hates me," your groggy voice said, making her laugh.
"Well, technically it's our cat now."
Liho curled up next to her, purring.
"Are you feeling better today, Natty?"
She smiled. "You're pretty darn cute when you wake up, malyshka." Of course, she ignored the question. "Also, when you call me Natty, it makes me feel young again… It's weird how the smallest gestures can make such a big difference, isn't it?"
You yawned before sitting up and kissing your girlfriend on her plump lips. "Oh, okay grandma," you teased her.
"Oh, c'mon y/n, you know what I mean, silly."
You knew Natasha had a dark past and it made you emotional to have these little cute moments with her at home. You knew she felt the same way. She longed for a normal domestic life and loved being part of a family, no matter how small or big. Right now, having Liho and you was more than enough for her.
After some morning cuddles, you got up and made breakfast for the two of you. The need to demand her to open up and tell you what happened during her last mission was extremely strong, but you knew you didn't want to push her, considering her current mental state and the bad panic attack she had last night.
"You know you can tell me anything, right? Nothing you say is ever going to scare me or push me away, you know?" God, you were not subtle.
"Mhm," she nodded and then continued eating her pancakes in silence. "Thanks for breakfast." She stood up, giving you a quick kiss on the head before leaving the kitchen.
"She's mad, great job, y/n," you thought to yourself. Why couldn't you just leave her alone? Why couldn't you let her come to you instead of pushing her to talk? Although… you just told her that you were there for her. That's not bad, is it?
In an attempt to stop overthinking, you decided to go grocery shopping.
"Nat?" You peeked into the home gym you and Nat had. She was boxing. Her punches were frantic, and sweat was covering her bruised skin. "Yea?" Her fists still swinging. "Going to the store, do you need anything?" you asked her.
"Nope."
"You sure?"
"Mhm."
"You're absolutely sure you don't need anything?" It was clear you were not just talking about groceries.
Natasha stopped punching the bag and walked towards you, putting her hand on your shoulder. "I'm alright, babe. Go ahead. I promise I'll be less sweaty when you come back."
--
You opened the door, holding paper bags filled with groceries, letting some of them drop to the floor. "Shit."
Nat walked in, letting out a small chuckle. "Here, let me help you." She grabbed the bags and started sorting them out.
"You smell good," you kissed her hello, "no stinky gym stench," you joked, making her laugh. "Exactly as I promised," she replied.
"Gonna make some coffee, you want some?" You looked at her and smiled. "You know I always do."
The two of you were sitting on the couch, drinking coffee and watching some random TV show.
"That guy kinda looks like Tony, don't you think?" you said, pointing to the TV.
"I went back to the red room," Natasha let out a nervous sigh, "He's dead now."
She definitely took you by surprise.
"You mean Dreyk-" Nat interrupted you before you could finish saying the evil man's name. "Yeah…and his daughter—all the other widows, they're free now." The redhead was doing her best to keep it together.
"Oh my goodness, Nat…that's great news!" You were expecting her to smile back at you, but she didn't.
"I want to tell you more about it. I don't ever want you to feel like I don't trust you enough to share my feelings, but-"
"Baby, it's okay. I know it's hard for you to open up. I'm so proud of you for trying," you spoke in the sweetest tone.
She was trying to say something, but her breathing was accelerating, and tears welled up in her eyes.
"Hey, hey, c'mere, baby, you're alright." You pulled her close to you, wrapping her in a tight embrace. "I love you so much, remember to breathe in deep and then let it out slowly, okay?" Luckily, it was easier for her to calm down, considering there was no sensory trigger this time.
"I don't know what I would do without you, y/n." It was still strange for you to see your girlfriend in such a vulnerable state, but that just made you realize how much you truly loved her and that you were willing to do anything to protect her.
"I don't know what I would do without you, Natty."
The TV show kept playing in the background as the two of you snuggled, and of course, Liho joined you.
"Y/n, I forgot to tell you something," Nat said.
"You can tell me more about it tomorrow. Take your time, darling." You caressed her cheek with your fingers.
"No, no, it's something else." Her tone was definitely different now, more relaxed.
"Oh, okay then, spill." You replied with curiosity.
"My… my family is coming to visit," she looked you in the eyes.
"Cool! I haven't seen them in AGES! I actually have something I want to give to Steve, an old vinyl he might like-"
"No, it's not them… it's my other family," she said, and you couldn't look more confused. "From Russia."
"WHAT?! How come you never talked to me about them?!" You were shocked but mostly excited by this new information, and that made your girlfriend smile. "I have a younger sister, Yelena. I feel you'll get along."
"Oh my god?! When is she coming? When are THEY coming? Oh, and is she a widow like you? Is-"
"Okay, okay, slow down there, detective," Nat interrupted. "Yes, she is a widow like me. And they're coming over next week. Yelena, Melina, and Alexei."
"I'm so excited, Natty." You hugged her.
"I don't know if I am, to be honest… they can be quite embarrassing," she let out a nervous chuckle.
"Oh, then I'm even more excited. Can't wait to hear embarrassing stories about you," you teased, and she shook her head. "Oh, I'm SO gonna regret this."

hello,, if i can, may i request jeonghan with reader who likes celebrating others' birthday but not theirs. just because they feel like theirs is not even worth it to be celebrated ; perhaps bcs of low self esteem? like, reader even hope that their birthday doesnt exist
( im sorry if i failed to understand your "do i take requests" on your navigation post, please feel free to decline this ask if anything. but if you do decline it, could you please perhaps randomly send 🩷 emoji so i could know whether my ask is accepted or not?? im sorry 😭 )
jeonghan when you don’t enjoy your own birthday
a/n: hi hi, so sorry this took a bit to come out. i'm not writing requests in chronological order just because some of them are easier to write for some reason ?? but ANYWAYs i hope you enjoy this even if it's a bit late <3
*reader and jeonghan are not explicitly in a relationship, i just thought this could be taken platonically or romantically
Tumblr media
✧ was lowkey offended that you didn’t even tell him. he had no idea on the day of because you didn't do anything out of the ordinary, not even a little celebration on your story!
✧ he didn't know because you haven't know each other too long, but still! how could you not tell him!
✧ he also felt awful because you surprised him on his and he was waiting for his chance to do something nice for you
✧ you had casually asked him if it was okay to stop by the hybe building since you were *coincidentally* in the area
✧ when he met up with you on the first floor to go up together, you had greeted him with the brightest smile, a small cake in a box, and a small bouquet
✧ "i thought i'd meet you upstairs! you're ruining the surprise!" you exclaimed as his eyes glanced over everything that you were holding
✧ "y/n.. you didn't have to do all of this.." he said, but he couldn't stop smiling. all of this, for him? he thought
✧ "let me help you carry some of this" he offered, not knowing what else he could do to express his gratitude (this day becomes one of his favorite birthdays)
✧ he had only found out that he missed your birthday when you had to show your ID at a restaurant. he jokingly took it from the waiter to see if you were younger in your photo and if you looked different before
✧ it was all fun and games until he saw your birthday, surprise and disappointment filling him when he realized it was last week
✧ he looked at you sitting across from him as you sipped your drink, unaware of every emotion coursing through him
✧ "your birthday just passed?" he asked, turning to look at you, before looking back down at your ID
✧ "yeah" you replied, a blank look on your face further surprising him. you just reached over to get your card, even if he was still staring at it
✧ "y/n, why didn't you tell me?"
✧ "because it isn't a big deal?" you shrugged, placing your ID back in your wallet
✧ you wondered why he seemed so passionate, meanwhile he wondered how you were being so casual
✧ "of course it's a big deal, i'd want to celebrate you on your day" he looked at you sincerely, you could hear the slight whine in his voice but you could see how serious he was
✧ it was hard to hold eye contact with him. "i um, don't really like celebrating it?" you said softly
✧ "can i ask why?" he continued, his voice gentle as he didn't want to push your boundaries
✧ "i mean, i like celebrating other people, people i love, you know? but it feels weird when it's about me, i don't know.. i don't need to be treated any differently on that specific day"
✧ he nodded, accepting your words even though he felt like he was bubbling with more questions. he still wants to make it up to you in some way
✧ you could tell he was a little off for the rest of your meal, he was sort of stuck in his thoughts. you really didn't want him to do anything but he still felt bad
✧ by the time your bill comes, you plan on splitting it with him when he closes the checkbook with just his card and hands it to the waiter before you could object
✧ "h-hey! you don't have to do that, you know" you called out, "it passed already anyway so you have no excuse"
✧ "who said it was because of that?" he asks coyly, "the last album did well so i want to celebrate that, don't worry"
✧ you rolled your eyes but you couldn't fight him on this one because the waiter already took his card. "just don't do anything else, jeonghan. it's really okay i swear"
✧ "then i won't"
✧ "good" you replied, eyeing his intentions anyway
✧ "good" he copies
✧ the next week, a package comes to your house, a very nice oversized denim jacket, with a card saying: NOT a birthday present, i ordered it for myself but it's too small so you can have it - jeonghannie :)
✧ you shoot him a text telling him not to get you any presents in the future and he only replies with it's not a present because it isn't even wrapped
✧ the jacket is totally your style and not his, so you know he's lying but you also can't be too mad
✧ he never really brings up why you don't like your birthday again. he never tries to organize a gathering or even a planned celebration dinner with you. he doesn't want to ever put you on the spot
✧ he figures if you ever feel more comfortable you'll tell him
✧ in upcoming years, he has his little jeonghan way of being a little kinder to you when it's coming around
✧ on the day, he'll do something for you without admitting it's for your birthday. it's something relaxed and besides, all he wants to do is spend time with you
✧ maybe he "randomly" tells you that he's craving your favorite food and he ordered way too much so you have to help him finish it
✧ or maybe he just so happened to be invited to an idol's concert and he can take you because he has an extra ticket ("you've literally never interacted with them" "yes i did on mnet in 2015" he literally sends a prepared clip)
✧ he always has his little explanation as to exactly why something is not a birthday celebration/present
✧ maybe he won something on going seventeen by cheating and wants to give you the prize because he won't use it
✧ the "non-presents" always come spontaneously so you technically can't say that they have a correlation to the actual day
✧ "i accidentally ordered the wrong shoe size" - it's literally a shoe you mentioned 5 months ago
✧ "they let us keep the accessories we wore on stage" - no they don't
✧ "i'm an ambassador for that brand anyway so i always have free stuff from them" - he would have had to post a thank you to that brand on his story
✧ but in the end, he just wants you to know he cares for you and wants to thank you, regardless of what day of the year it is
