I love Viktor as much as the next person but let's not forget a huge part of his narrative regarding Sky's character is inherently misogynistic. Sky has been said to be a "throwaway/dispensable" character linked directly to Viktor's storyline and that's about it, but in my opinion, she's so much more exactly for that very same reason. We are supposed to feel bad for her and want to know more because from Viktor's POV he doesn't even intend to know her.
Viktor says he never wanted to be an assistant forever, but that's exactly the fate Sky faces in the end instead of him. She died as his assistant and despite Viktor constantly claiming she was so much more and had huge dreams, she's nothing but the concept of humanity and guilt for him. It's Sky the same way it could've been anybody else. He says she's so much more and uses her as a device to place his guilt and as a bearer of "humanity", but at the same time it's that very same thing what takes away her independence, free will and humanity.
Whether s2 Sky is the Hexcore controlling Viktor, truly Sky, or just a Sky made up by Viktor, she's nothing but something he can use. I am not slandering Viktor here (he's literally my favorite character) but explaining how Sky's role, as shallow as it might look, is just the clear representation of women living as concepts for men so they can show how much they care without actually caring. She died an assistant, had to bear the responsibility of carrying Viktor's guilt and a concept as huge as humanity itself and Viktor's, and disappeared once again as an assistant.
