Currently watching a Japanese Taiwanese co-production in the background. Moving to Japan to teach is such a stereotype by now but you can't tell me I wouldn't have great fun. Going to Taiwan and confusing everyone by speaking 0 Chinese and being really bad at learning it but like having read an entire book about its history just to understand Hou Hsiao-hsien films. And then based on my other current TV habits: going to South Korea and having to admit it's American television's fault I'm there.

#like I haven't read it yet but by then I would have #confusing everyone by not speaking Chinese but knowing two random ass films that were nearly but not quite Oscar nominated #going to Japan and annoying everyone by being yet another language teacher and then perhaps charming them by talking about how I got #really interested in ikebana and origami as a child #weeb phase? no I had that later. after my ikebana and origami phase.#also at the speed at which I'm picking up random Korean words and the motivation I currently have I wouldn't have a complete language #barrier by then #macks musings
