well, I had to say something about the question from early on. I've lived in Korea for 2 and a half years, and I have to say, they did talk about sex very casually actually. of course, I used to be around younger people in their 20s, so maybe that's the reason, but that's also where bts is right now. I also hate that there's a part of the fandom that still think they don't even know what sex is. they're adults and adults do adults things. they do talk about it and it's very healthy really.
also, not quite related but ...so this is an unpopular opinion but I think one of the reasons some armys don't accept the members growing up is because the boys can not be very open about their "grown-up" lives. maybe if they would openly talk about dating experiences, going out with friends or to a party, buying their own places, living by themselves, just maturing in general, the fandom would be more "used to it"? if that makes sense ..but I feel like, since they don't ever address those types of things, armys still believe they don't do it. not that they have to say even more things about their private lives, but for some people, if they don't ever speak about it, they can still believe what they want to.
another thing that contributes to that is that a part of the fandom just doesn't know how to deal with changes. and they do not want to deal with it. change is difficult for them because they focus on the negative part of it..
I don't blame that anon for thinking that way, it's what they knows and maybe in their environment it's not common to talk about that kind of thing and they probably thinks it's the case for every Korean person.
Yes, there is a problem in this fandom in that sense. Like you say, a lot of people don't like change, they don't want to accept that they are men in their 20s with different tastes, ambitions, thoughts and that they most likely have and need their own space; but I don't think the guys should talk more about that kind of stuff to get their fans to change that way of thinking, why should it be their responsibility?
In the kpop world you don't usually see that, I mean, idols talking about those things, it's not just something that BTS does or doesn't do. They, like everyone else, have the right to have a private life and everyone has to respect that. They don't have to say that they are or aren't with a person to make their fans happy? or understand that they are not children. Their fans should understand but above all respect that, no matter what they know or don't know.
