it'd be so much easier to find fics to read if i liked romance even a little
#also tend to avoid ship-focused fics because my aroace ass doesn't enjoy it#like... its alright if its THERE i won't really care too much#but too much focus on it and either it makes me care too little about the fic to read it Because i don't care about most of its content#or I am actively repulsed by its content snd HAVE to stop#also a reason I love QPR's in fics. Sweet rep of a thing that should be explored and normalized#both for aro/aroace/ace people like myself but also for allos because its a very unique thing and- okay i shouldn't ramble im on a tangent#but yrah QPR's are generally very neat in fanfiction (when not just “a romantic relationship with a sticker slapped on” y'know)#seeing people love each other and interact and shit without ANY romance behind it...#but yeah tangent over. fuckin mood wish it was a bit different appreciate the fics and shit where they dont put overwhelming focus on it.
