Instagram has become so... a disappointment

I have more than 500 followers there, granted most are family and friends, but for years now what I most post there are my own art, Inktober/drawtober and watercolors. And each damn year the interaction just gets lower. This year's drawtober, until now NO ART reached 10 likes. And some years ago, they were around 40.

It's crazy because tumblr, where I have barely 100 followers, I have a bunch that reached more than 20 people this year (I love every single one of you and I wish only good things to you) half of it because I think I finally understand the best way for tagging here! 😬

No I don't do the art for the likes, at least not now without my life on track to actually try and do commissions, but it's REALLY disheartening when the very few pictures of myself I posted on instagram reach so many people more people... Like, almost 100.

And I'm pretty sure the main problem is the tags system there, somehow following tags in instagram is MORE BROKEN than in tumblr. Here At Least I know that if I go to the Your Tags tab I'll see mostly only things from the tags I follow, while on instagram... Good fucking luck with it. Tagging things there become superficial.

Also I actually had to favorite or something my fellow artist friends there so I could see their art???? Otherwise instagram wouldn't show them to me. What the actual hell.

I can see the day where I will just post on instagram to have an easy control of what I did each year and when I posted instead of hopping at least the people I know will see it 🙃
