It's unfortunate that religion in Star Trek is so controversial because I think converting to Buddhism would fix Mariner
#lower decks#beckett mariner#star trek#star trek lower decks#I'm not Buddhist I just like assigning religions to characters#Anyways I think Carol is atheist and Alonzo is AME and I think Beckett was raised vaguely Christian#but I think Buddhism is the spiritual path that would actually help her the most#also Boimler is Unitarian. It's just a vibe I get#Ransom doesn't believe in God but he is afraid of him (raised Episcopal btw)#The Orions seem to have some sort of monotheistic mother goddess thing going on? So that's what Tendi's doing if she's at all religious#but tbh I think rejecting Orion religion is probably part of her running away to Starfleet#Rutherford doesn't remember what religion he was raised as because of the implant#and now he has a weird spiritual relationship with the warp core (as does every Starfleet engineer)#T'Lyn is doing that off brand Buddhism thing that Vulcans do
