If it helps (and if you either change the user or do another thing that involves usernames) gaming usernames are still just usernames and usernames do tend to connect to the person who makes them in a way

If you want to do more in depth research, go on online games and think about why people’s usernames are like that and what possible patterns there may be. Going into random steam forums could also help considering. Having a character to attach to the username also helps, it’s easier to come up with a username for a character when you have something to base it on (like the usernames for that one mini chat fic I made)

If it helps at all looking at the usernames in the collinlock16 videos should help (I will NOT stop talking about those videos. They’re very well made). Also there’s the bad egg creepypasta reading which has visuals, so you should be able to get an idea as well (along with pfps, which depending on the forum can exist). Yes I’m using this as an excuse to share the horror related stuff I’m a fan of, you would do the same

Also references are fun. I gave Raph the user CrimsonFker in said chat fic. Get a little silly with it (in the same fic aprils user is CarrieIRL)
