I feel like latinas living in the us don't really understand what their latin families mean sometimes, just, take everything at face value. They (the girls) are not always wrong, but not always right either
Y'know when your tias or abuelas tell you that youre pale and you should get some sun. They're not telling you you're ugly or something. What they mean to say is that they hope you're living as actively as you can and getting some vitamin d bc kids nowadays are always in their own rooms
No matter how much social media preaches abt not commenting on the way other people eat (which is understandable, i'm not against that) your latin family doesn't care/know. If they tell you you're eating too little, they mean to say they want you to be healthy, so to make sure you are. Don't fool yourself. Your tias and the women in the family may have struggled with EDs in the past.
If they tell you you're eating too much, yeah, it can be fatphobia or something. I wouldn't jump to that conclusion though. Most families only want the best for you
Don't let yourself be swayed by impressions, please! Dont draw early conclusions
