#im sooo bad at like. photo dumps and like. actively sharing things from travels bc idk i feel weirdly silly and self conscious about it#and i know tumblr isn't /the place/ for that like ig is (havent updated mine since like 2019) but it feels ~thematically relevant so w/e#having been there i can say i Get the appeal and the allure (and this wasn't even a race weekend just a normal ass tuesday)#and it was also very... almost fulfilling to visit the place that's been so pivotal to all the writing and headcanons and fic planning#and the setting of the race you've sat down to watch basically every year for the past 9 years#it always feels so magical and special and beautiful and yeah to actually Be There and experience it even if just for a day was so surreal#so yeah. very cool hope to be back again someday#sidenote imagine your face being plastered on city buses in your hometown........ i would be mortified actually#also!!!! honoring sebchal's legacy by literally taking that bus tour they talked about and then nothing came of it (all men do is lie)#*
