Why Couldn’t It’ve Been Minigolf

The cool autumn air sends a shiver down your spine as you tug your jacket closer, goosebumps beginning to appear as you and your friends push your way through the crowded lanes of the fair. Your boyfriend was here somewhere, allegedly, volunteering and you and your friends had thought you’d come surprise him. The only issue now was where to find him.
“I’m starving, let’s stop at the food trucks,” Pansy decides, dragging your group towards the rows of colorful trucks offering just about every kind of carnival food imaginable.
It could all be rather suffocating really. When it came to the autumn carnival, your town spared no expense. From the glowing neon signs hanging from every stall to the aisles of carnival games that seemed to stretch on forever, it was really the place to be. Even now as Mattheo pulls you in line for his favorite booth you’re overwhelmed with all the smells. The popcorn, the melted caramel, the deep fried corn dogs, pumpkin spice.
“Want some? If you don’t have any now there’ll be none left after Theo gets his hands on it,” Mattheo says, offering you his opened bag of kettle corn.
“Oh my god, I’m honored. The last time Blaise tried to steal some of your kettle corn you damn near bit his hand off,” you joke, graciously accepting a handful of the sugar coated treat.
Once everyone is situated with their food, you continue your way through the crowds, eyes scanning the different faces for your boyfriend.
"Think he could be over at the petting zoo?" Daphne asks, gesturing to the sectioned off area of the fair where a variety of goats, sheep, even an alpaca are roaming about as kids try offering them pieces of hay that they'd picked up off the ground.
"You're only suggesting we go over there because you want to see the ponies," Pansy laughs, taking a bite of her corn dog.
"Uh yeah, who wouldn't want to see the ponies?" Daphne retorts.
Pansy raises her hand.
"C'mon, I'll go with you, we can catch up with the rest in a bit," Enzo offers, stepping between the two bickering girls, the rest of you watching in amusement.
Daphne graciously takes Enzo's arm, turning to stick her tongue out teasingly at Pans before the two disappear through the crowds.
"Alright, where do we actually think Theodore could be hiding out?" Pansy asks, turning to you. "I'd like to actually enjoy the carnival a bit outside of hunting down Theo."
Fair enough.
"Well, we haven't checked the corn maze, glow-in-the-dark minigolf, I think there are bumper carts around here somewhere," you list off, checking off each attraction on your fingers.
"The haunted house," Mattheo adds.
You feel yourself deflate at the mention of the haunted house. You'd really been hoping they'd forget about it, but of course it would be top of Matt's mind, he loved that type of thing.
"Alright well, I'm not navigating through farmer's purgatory with you lot, even if it's to find Theo, so you can take the corn maze off the list," Draco declares.
Not that anyone was really going to complain about that.
“I personally think we should go to the haunted house first,” Mattheo says, continuing to chow down on his kettle corn, pieces spewing from his mouth as he speaks.
You recoil away from the boy.
“Of course you would want to go there first,” you sigh, lip curling at the thought.
You’d never understood the appeal of having the shit scared out of you on purpose. Haunted houses, horror movies had never been entirely your cup of tea, but you always seemed to be dragged along by your friends.
“Alternatively, you guys can go search the haunted house, Blaise and I will go check out the bumper cars,” Draco interjects, looking rather weezy at the idea of the haunted house.
He’d never had much of a stomach for all the horror thrills either.
“Coward,” Pansy mutters under a poorly executed, feigned cough.
Draco makes a face at the girl.
“Let him go Pans, wouldn’t want him to wet his pants again would we?” Matt jeers. You give him a sharp jab with your elbow. “Ow!” Mattheo frowns at you, rubbing his side.
“Be nice.”
“I was seven,” Draco grumbles as he turns to slink off.
“Oh look what you’ve done, now he’s upset,” you sigh, glaring at your curly haired friend.
Mattheo just shrugs, looking completely unbothered as he tosses another handful of popcorn into his mouth.
“Fine, whatever, now that you two have managed to run everyone else off, we might as well get the haunted house over and done with,” you say with exasperation when the other two remain completely unfazed.
Sometimes you thought those two really deserved each other.
The three of you make your way towards the haunted house attraction and you ruefully eye the minigolf course as your little group bustles by. Maybe it wasn't too late to convince your friends to go there instead.
Tragically for you however, Mattheo and Pansy manage to drag you to the queue of the haunted house before you're able to get a word in edgewise.
Standing in line, you feel your palms begin to sweat already, the nerves really beginning to settle in. The line is going much too fast for your liking, you haven't gotten the proper chance to emotionally prepare yourself as your feet shuffle forward. It's not until the skeletons at the entrance jump out at you and you feel yourself jolt back into Pansy that you're sure this is a horrible idea.
"Come on now, don't back out on us now," Mattheo laughs, prodding you forward. "I heard they made it even scarier than last year," he says giddily.
Why were you friends with this lunatic?
“Sign here,” one of the attendants orders gruffly, directing your eyes to a slip of paper sitting on the counter in front of you.
Against your better judgment, you scribble your name in the dotted line, not even bothering to read whatever the hell you had just signed.
“Relax, it’s just saying you won’t sue if you get scared and trip and fall or something. It shouldn’t even be that bad. The actors can’t touch you or anything,” Pansy says, trying to reassure you as you’re ushered through the next door. It doesn’t work.
It’s not long before the regret sinks in. It’s rather immediate actually. Instant regret.
It’s dark and cold and the first room is covered in bones, fake blood, the works. Strobe lights flash, disorienting you until you can’t tell the mannequins from the live actors and you can feel yourself begin to shake as you’re not sure what’s about to jump out at you next.
With each room, you draw closer and closer to Pansy until you’re finally grabbing at her arm, your grip so tight it leaves indents on her pale skin.
“Hey, it’s okay,” she laughs. “Look. You can clearly see where that actor’s mask was supposed to be tucked into their shirt. Amateur,” she snorts, pointing at the guy with a spinning chainsaw that had been practically breathing down your neck a moment earlier.
Your friend was a psychopath, you decided then and there.
As you continue on through the trenches, you find yourself jumping and screeching at every turn while Pansy and Mattheo look as if they’re just taking a friendly stroll through the park. You swear you even see one of the scare actors jump a little when Mattheo yells back at them, his eyes crossing and tongue hanging out of his mouth. And then your soul immediately leaves your body once more as you realize a murderous clown had snuck up on you while you were distracted.
It could not be too soon when you finally see the light at the end of the tunnel. The light being the exit sign of course.
As you make your way towards it, you’re about to breathe a sigh of relief when you see movement out of the corner of your eye. It all happens so fast. One moment you think you’re finally free, the next you watch in horrified fascination as a scare actor charges toward you, dipping into a swooping, slide that stops just short of your feet before smoothly standing back up, letting out an ear piercing scream just inches away from your face.
They’re screaming, you’re screaming, you can’t tell where your scream starts and their scream ends, and Mattheo is standing to the side laughing his ass off.
At this point you’re practically using Pansy as a human shield when the scare actor suddenly stops and peaks over Pansy’s shoulder at you. It’s hard to tell in the dark, but you would know that mischievous smirk anywhere.
“I’m going to kill you!” You screech, lunging at your boyfriend.
Theo and Matt are both laughing now as Pansy catches you just in time, holding you back as you try and grab at Theo.
“Easy there, you can give him a piece of your mind later,” she says, trying to keep things somewhat under control.
But you were having none of it. These two assholes, Theo and Matt that is, had been plotting against you this entire time. Mattheo sharing his popcorn had probably just been a way to lull you into a false sense of security. You glare at the pair who now at least have the decency to collect themselves as you shove past them.
“I knew we should have just gone to the minigolf course,” you mutter as you sulk out of the haunted house, trying to look as pathetic as possible in hopes of making Theo and Matt feel particularly guilty.
It doesn’t work on Mattheo who happily follows you outside, but you can tell by the way Theo’s eyes are glued to you, lips turned ever so slightly into a pout that you have that boy wrapped around your finger.
It had only gotten colder, the sun just dipping below the horizon when Theo finally catches up with the rest of you. You can still see remnants of his white face paint stained across his face as he wraps his arms around you.
"You didn't tell me you were volunteering as a scare actor," you accuse as your arms snake around your boyfriend. “Think that information would’ve been nice to have ya asshole.”
"We were just joking with you, I didn't think you'd actually be that terrified," Theo replies, placing a soft kiss to the top of your head.
"You know how I feel about haunted houses," you try to protest.
"I know, I know, I'm sorry carissima. Let me make it up to you?"
“Mmm I can think of a couple ways you could do that,” you reply, a grin slowly spreading across your face as you look up at your boyfriend.
“Hey! Are we playing minigolf or what?” Mattheo calls out, tossing Theo one of the dinky little clubs which he catches with ease.
“Watch your back Riddle, I’m not done with you,” you respond, grabbing your own club and plucking one of the glowing golf balls off the rack. “You’re not gonna know what hit you.”
You see Mattheo gulp as you brush past him to join Pansy.
“They’re talking figuratively right mate? They wouldn’t actually hit me with a golf club,” you hear him mutter to Theo.
Your boyfriend just laughs.
“You’re on your own for this one Matt, I’d like to keep my head thanks.”

redacted listener hcs — favorite animals
i was bored and decided to give the listeners favorite animals based purely on vibes :) (also some pet hcs heheh)
long warning
Angel — most people would assume that they like something basic, like cats. while they do like cats, they like llamas and alpacas more; they think theyre silly and cool and always whines about David not letting them ride any when they go to some sort of fair or carnival
Babe — classic cat lover! they grew up with cats, so it was to be expected. they also likes dogs a lot; their favorite breeds of both being devon rexes (cats) and borzois (dogs)
Sweetheart — they like lizards. while they never had any pets growing up, they became acquainted with the multiple lizards that lived in their school friends’ gardens. they specifically like green basilisk lizards and draco volans
Darlin’ — surprisingly, they like insects. they found a preying mantis egg sac in their backyard when they were ten, and they managed to convince their parents to let them keep one of the mantises once it hatched. they like carpenter ants and preying mantises
Lovely — they like both snakes and cats. after turning, they joked to Vincent about how they were “like an albino snake now.” they begged Vincent for them to get a cat, even though cats tend to disagree with Vincent. they like corn snakes a lot and had one as a pet before they met Vincent (Rory lived a good 13 years and passed away peacefully a few weeks before the E&E 2021 games began)
Treasure — they like deer. they loved reading about the “majestic creatures” in the library, and always beelined to the deer enclosure when they visited the zoo with their family. they particularly love sambar deer and sika deer, liking the way their antlers are shaped
Freelancer — they never gave much thought to things like favorite animals, and theyd often ask growing up, “I’m supposed to have a favorite?” but, they do have an inclination towards zebras and mantis shrimp
Coworker — they love love love ferrets! when they were little, one of their friends got a ferret, and they begged their parents to let them get one (they got a hamster instead. and yes, it died because one of their siblings put it in the microwave). they did all sorts of research on ferrets (what they eat, what amount of love is good for them), and then scolded their friend because they only had one ferret and ferrets need socialization with another of their kind, or they’ll be sad and lonely. they currently have two ferrets of their own, Muffy and Minx
Starlight — theyve always liked birds, even when they were little. a local event that was hosted at a reserve near their house called the Hummingbird Festival took place every spring and fall, and their parents always made the long drive so that they could see the hummingbirds as they migrated. theyve flipped through a few favorites over the years, but the current ones are: barn owls, rosefinches, and ravens. they also like planaria worms, mainly because theyre easy to care for if kept as a pet
Sunshine — they reeeally like horses. like,, reeeeally likes them. bro was that girl /gn growing up: always begging their parents for a horse a pony, even when they knew realistically that it would cost waaay too much. they like black forest horses, colorado rangers, and gypsy vanners the most
Cutie — they went out of their way to like “different” and “unique” animals while growing up, and that habit followed them into adulthood; unlike in school, however, they genuinely like meerkats and lemurs, instead of just saying they do in order to gain clout. they also like beta fish and axolotls
Doc — same as Freelancer, they never gave much thought to their favorite animal. usually, they just said they liked dogs in order to get whoever was asking off their back. after many years of saying that as their answer, its kinda become true. while theyre more of a cat-person, they do like dogs, and has owned them in the past. currently, they have a siberian cat named Vale, and they want to get a bearded collie
Warden — while having favorite animals is considered a “human thing,” Warden likes jellyfish and sea bunnies. one of their charges really likes sea creatures, and they asked her to tell them about them, resulting in about an hour long lesson on whales and sharks. Warden (of their own accord) started researching other sea animals, and found that they really like jellyfish and sea slugs. they specifically like moon jellyfish, mushroom jellyfish, sea bunnies, and sea angels

Spinch and corn I hate finding emojis pretend they’re there
🥬 - Do you make up OCs to play as, or do you  give the farmer your name/make them look like you?
Thank you for giving me a chance to talk about The YuzuWren I love you dearly.
It really depends on the game and character!! Most of the time I do self insert, but I do enjoy making OCs as well!! It adds a lot of depth to the game as well as your character unfolds.
My favorite BokuMono OC Ship, as I say in my pinned, is my 100 hour 3OT file ship The YuzuWren.
I made them in 2020, and they were the first OCxCanon ship I made, period!! I went into them a little here (along with my other OCxCanon BokuMono ship) but some little details besides the rough outline;
-They have a pet Daschund named Haruki; he was a wedding gift from Wren to Yuzuki upon him moving to their farm.
-Despite it leaning more feminine, Wren never takes off the hairpiece yuzuki gives you for maxing Tsuyukusa. He knows Yuzuki isn’t misgendering him, and he likes having a piece made by his husband in his hair.
-Their favorite baths are the simple pine spring and on occasion, the wine spring. They do it to help rest after a hard day of wren working on a stupid amount of crops and his one whole sheep and his one whole alpaca.
-Wren can’t cook and all Yuzuki knows how to make is sweets. If it wasn’t for Gay Uncle Frank it’d be all over.
-I know I said in the post that I didn’t realize when making him Wren would be getting his top and phallo from Ford but I need to reiterate it. Imagine getting a penis from the guy who feeds you elephant shit.
corn answered here xoxo

Wildfolk Update
This pseudo update serves as a replacement/overhaul of villagers. The primary goal is to make interacting with "villagers", known now as wildfolk, significantly less of a chore and hopefully more fun.
Wildfolk
Wildfolk are humanoid animals that completely replace villagers in the overworld. Wildfolk come in multiple different species depending on the biome their village generates in.
Blubberfolk - Cold non-mountainous biomes like snowy plains or taigas, based on walruses
Merfolk - Ocean or swamp biomes, based on fish
Featherfolk - Temperate biomes like forests and plains, based on birds
Slitherfolk - Hot biomes like deserts and badlands, based on snakes
Mountainfolk - Mountains, based on alpacas and rams
Cavefolk - Very rarely underground, based on beetles
Trading
Wildfolk trade by being thrown emeralds, like throwing gold to piglins, which they will exchange for items based on their job. For example a farmer would give the player a large bunch of crops when given an emerald.
Wildfolk do not accept anything other than emeralds, which means that emeralds are far more rare as they can't be obtained from trades like they can in vanilla.
Jobs
Wildfolk can have jobs just like vanilla villagers, with their job being determined by a job block. In the list below the job block is put in parenthesis next to the jobs name, and the bullet point below it is what a wildfolk can give in exchange for an emerald.
Farmer (Composter)
Crops; only way to obtain your first corn, which can then be planted and grown by the player.
Butcher (Smoker)
Raw and cooked meat, leather and feathers.
Cartographer (Cartography Table)
Maps to structures and biomes. Tries not to provide the same map twice.
Cleric (Brewing Stand)
Golden apples, or potions.
Fletcher (Fletching Table)
Tipped arrows or more rarely enchanted crossbows and bows.
Librarian (Lectern)
Enchanted books and bookshelves.
Mason (Stonecutter)
Stones; like normal stone, diorite, or terracotta.
Lumberjack (Woodcutter)
Logs. Usually of local types but more rarely of farther biomes.
Tailor (Loom)
Colored wool.
Blacksmith (Anvil)
Iron, coal, copper, and more rarely enchanted iron equipment.
Engineer (Autocrafter)
Redstone, redstone components, and mechanical brains.
The wandering trader is a unique wildfolk job that is not assigned by a job block. Instead there is a small chance each morning for a wandering trader to spawn, with its species being random instead of based on the biome they spawn in. At night, right around when the player is able to sleep, wandering traders will despawn.
Wandering traders provide items from their travels when given emeralds. These items include saplings and logs from biomes outside the current biome, mob crates of various mobs, flowers from other biomes, and some hard to get blocks like coral, sea lanterns, and froglights. They have a much wider trading pool than other jobs making trading with them much more random.
Zombiefication
The chance for wildfolk to become a zombie wildfolk when killed by a zombie can be modified using a gamerule. Whether or not wildfolk are even targeted by zombies can also be disabled or re-enabled with a gamerule.
When a zombified wildfolk is cured, they will show their appreciation by giving the player an emerald. They will not provide another emerald for being re-zombified and re-cured unless they have spent a minimum amount of time as a villager before becoming a zombie again.
Design Goals
Vanilla villagers have a problem in that they make getting certain resources much easier as long as you are willing to engage is lengthy and tedious trading processes, essentially encouraging boring gameplay. Needing to trade large amounts of sticks in order to get a mending book for instance just isn't really fun despite being the most efficient way to do so.
Wildfolk instead make trades less common due to emeralds being harder to get but more substantial as each emerald gives a large chunk of materials. In a sense each emerald is like a goodie bag with loot that can be influenced by choosing which wildfolk job you want to trade with.
This encourages more of a gameplay style where instead of trying to outright replace collecting certain types of items by trying to mass produce emeralds like vanilla encourages, instead you will find emeralds naturally in your time playing and can choose to trade them in order to get items you might need more of at the moment or don't enjoy getting.

SIDEQUEST QUEST
Tumblr media
Sidequest Quest 2: Forward Unto Dawn
Sidequest Quest has returned with a new expansion, and I have now cleared Tuliyollal of sidequests!
There weren't too many Fun Facts™ in this one, but a few little tidbits:
There is an ancient Turali god/spirit of corn which takes the shape of a tiny little sentient corn cob. He is called the Cornservant.
The alpacas kept at the stables near the south gate are the descendants of the golden alpaca Gulool Ja Ja caught.
Years ago, Wuk Lamat begged Koana to make her a scavenger hunt, which he eagerly complied with. She solved the first clue before getting stuck.

i have a beautiful idea for a massive mod pack for De-Westernizing Minecraft. it would, in theory, add:
around 20 crops from the americas, africa, and asia (rice, tomatoes, corn, yams, jackfruit, nopales, sorghum, peppers, etc etc)
around a dozen new passive or farmable/tameable mobs (ducks, koi, crickets, turkeys, guinea pigs, alpacas, water buffalo, yak, ostriches, zebras, silkworms, etc)
corresponding food items made from these crops/animal products
around a dozen new hostile/neutral mobs, both inspired by real animals (termites, hyenas, cougars, etc) and inspired by non-western fantastical creatures (jiangshi, nandi bear, popobawa, etc)
new trees/wood types - baobab, mulberry, jacaranda, eucalyptus, etc
in addition to the new wood types, 50+ new blocks, primarily different materials common in non-western architecture (packed earth, wattle-and-daub, enameled wood, paper walls, coral stone, etc etc etc)
new biomes (muskegs, pampas, cold steppe, riverine jungle, salt flats, a complete overhaul of the "desert" biome splitting it into Cactus Deserts, Rocky Deserts, and Sandy Deserts, roughly corresponding to like, the mojave, the atacama, and the sahara)
a few new metals/gemstones that wouldn't be used for tools, but would have unique and specialized uses instead (jade, brass?)
new decorative blocks/items/objects - baskets (five item storage slots, have some unique interactions with redstone maybe?), chinese animal roof figures, etc
an overhaul of village architecture - every biome's village actually has 3-5 sub-types that change the architectural style, so you can have a Definitely East African village in a savanna or a Definitely West Asian village in the plains or whatever
at least 20 new generated structures (some small and pointless, like the desert wells, some large) that take inspiration from asian and african and american architecture

The Sacred Valley
Impulsive like me, Irene booked a last minute trip to come visit me in Cusco. Only a few days before she left, Jonathan decided to tag along as well. They arrived on Thursday morning and I met up with them briefly before their walking tour.
We connected again for a romantic dinner at Rucula where we sat and chatted for hours. It was so nice to have them in town! For dessert, we met up with Garrett at Qucharitas to split some peculiar nitrogen ice cream flavors along with picarones which is a type of donut made with sweet potato, squash, and star anise. That makes it healthy right?
Tumblr media Tumblr media
On Friday morning I actually had a lot of work to do, but I finally managed to make it out to a not so quick lunch with Irene. Later, a bunch of the tribers met up at the San Blas Market to start off our cooking class. Our chef gave us a tour, which was needed due to the sheer size of the market and the variety of its offerings.
Tumblr media
Once we got to the kitchen, we made maracuyá sours - cocktails with ice, pisco, passionfruit, eggwhites, and simple syryp. For the appetizer we assembled a Japanese-influenced ceviche and for the main course we made quinoa-encrusted oyster mushrooms/alpaca. With all the jokes back and forth, we never thought we would make it out of there to catch our bus to the Sacred Valley. We actually had to skip dessert!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The majority of the group rented a lavish house together in the Sacred Valley. In the morning, chefs made a nice breakfast spread before we got ready to get on our tour bus. Due to a series of miscommunications and unfortunate circumstances, the bus was an hour late so some of us took a stroll around the town of Urquillos. The town appeared to be run by stray dogs although there was soon to be a mayoral race which was split on the important issues - corn vs. cows.
Tumblr media
Our first adventure for the day was an ATV tour to Moray which is a terraced architectural Inca site. Along the way, we got a great view of the landscape and saw a variety of livestock. Next, we climbed to the top of the Ollantaytambo ruins which signifies the beginning of the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The last stop of the trip was the Maras Salt Mines which are composed of over 5,000 pools and were established over 500 years ago. Back at the house, chefs cooked us dinner and we started heating the wood-fired hot tub. We spent the majority of the night in the tub, which we squeezed 10 of us into! The night ended with s'mores around the fire pit.
Tumblr media
Sunday was spent at Mountain Views Maras which is a glamping spot with, as expected, expansive mountain views, a nice restaurant, and alpacas, llamas, and horses. All afternoon, we fed the animals with corn husks and did photoshoots. It was so special being able to be in such close proximity to these big animals for a prolonged period of time.
Tumblr media
On our way back home we stopped at a textile place where they gave us a demo on how the yarn is made and dyed.

New writing in this old ancient thing-
Been a while since ive writen something here. About 2 years i believe. Alot of new things since then and I'll try to write them all best to my memory.
We got a powerline up, then took it down, then put it up again. Made some batteries then some more then destoryed them all. We couldnt figure out a way to stop the rain from breaking them and i was tired of remaking them over time. We switched from basic generators to industrial ones. Now we have an excess of power rather than none.
Speaking of power and making stuff, the old workshop is still around but not used a lot anymore. Before it was fitted with only 2 stonecutters. Now we made a new workshop that is bigger and has actual tool cabinets to speed work up. It fits 4-6 stonecutters.
Next to the stone worshop is a boarding house. I remember i said something about making one a while ago wellllll, that one didnt work out and now just like most things theres a new one. It fits 15 to 18 beds and everyone has a end table. A but of an overkill and maybe fitting that many people into a room is bad but they have 2 sculptures which apparently makes them happy enough to keep working for us.
The old workshop has a tailor bench, art bench, and biofuel refinery.
The biofuel renfinery takes us to the plant fields where we have 3 big fields of peanuts, corn, and strawberries. Which makes a very big overflow of raw food and fruits that we then sell, cook, or turn into fuel for the generators. Even with all that we still regularly have over 3000+ raw food st all times nowadays so if anything happens we'll survive starvation at least.
The raw plants get taken into the freezer which the cooks work all day to turn them into meals for everyone to eat. Which is definitely overdone too since we have 273 simple meals and 26 veg fine meals. Only wade knows how to make the lavish ones but the others will get there surely with all the meals they make. The freezer is regularly overrun and we are currently implementing some shelves in there to help control the large amounts of food.
The fields are getting a pathway of cobblestone done to inprove walk speeds through them. Glad that my husband no longer has to walk through the tall grass to reach them.
We have an actual properish research lab up. It has 4 research benchs in there and each has a comfy soft sheep armchair to relax on as people study how to make our lives better here.
Speaking of sheep and wool, that brings us to the animal pen. Just one and its bigger than anything else we have currently probably. It holds the muffalos, sheep, and alpacas. Only the sheep are capable of breeding and um thats no longer an option i guess. The other animals are all female and the sheep were 3 ladies and a ram that we got as a gift i think. The ram is dead because Lifan killed it.......
We have a church/gallery. The richest and prettiest building we have made so far. Its to be used for festivals and the like and converting people.
Right next to it/in it is the throne room holding me and Gregoria's thrones. It also holds the statue of truth which stands in the middle of the room and holds a beauty like no other. I wish i had the words to describe it all but i wanted this to be more of a collection of what we have and not me rambling on and on about paintings and statues.
Up there near the church we have a warehouse that holds EVERYTHING for the colony. Wood, stone blocks, weapons, wool and cloth, clothing, money, and even the chemfuel. (Probably a bad idea but i personally couldnt care if most of the stuff burns in there. Its got like 50 shelves in
there and its mostly unorganized but ive tooken the liberty of at least arranging the weapons and stone blocks away from everything else.
The old house is still up.....kinda. I will make up a blueprint to demolish it and build it back up to actually house guests and companions someday but not anytime soon at least. Its got a few guest rooms near it and the guests are free to eat and buy whatever meals or supplies they want and can find. Havent gotten any problems with it before so why fix something that isnt broken.
Well actually there was this one time we had several guests keep buying up all the baby food instead of the meals we had which lead to a slight feeding problem.
Theres the kitchens near the fields and that fits 4 stoves and it needs to be slightly expanded to fit some more sinks in there.
We have plans to take down the two trap defenses we have and make proper openings to the colony. We'll have one at the south western wall near the animal pen and then another on the northeastern wall. Put some barricades and sandbags for our shooters and then some traps to keep the animals out.
I think thats about everything we have building and room wise.
That now brings us to people and stuff. This will be fun.
First off we have Kurthos and me. Been married about 3-4 years now and hopefully a long long time in the future. We have 2 kids and honestly....might be expecting another in a while. Been real peaceful and defenses will be doubled in a while so why not.
Our first kid, Michelangelo or Angel as we call him, is 8 i think now. He's got a passion for speaking and mining(he's just like me) but he's more of a follower of the goddess then any of us i think. He tries to convert all the other kids and that leads him to fights and tussles with them. He's a decent fighter though, a little bit of training and a weapon and i might let him out the walls to fight against the squirrels and rats around here.
Our second kid, Anyisha, is a darling. She's a pure daddy's girl though thats primarily my fault as i was never quite there after her birth. Thats what traveling the world searching for a relic and only coming back for a quick kiss and hug from your husband and more supplies will do to ya i guess. She's got an intrest in planting i think, and she loves watching the researchers in the lab. She'll do well in the future im sure.
Then there's Gregoria, my sister who we met and hosted when i found her in the empires databases. She stayed with us which im happy for because we need all the hands we can. And we can feed more so why not house more🤷🏽‍♀️.
Wade and MJ are happily married with their two kids. MJ insisted on having her second almost nearly as soon as she came back from her first birth. Both still newborns though Lenny, the first born, is almost a toddler. Hanno is the second born, both boys. MJ wants to try for a third and a girl but Wade knows she already has her hands full with 2. She's been going so crazy trying to care for them that most of the time she's just breastfeeding them or moving them in and out the nursery because she swears even one degree too hot is too much for the kids.
Theres Dolores/Glasses. She is Wade's greataunt making her my.......great great great aunt or sum like that. Shes our main researcher and does a pretty mean job with her gun. Also a decent cook whenever she has time for it.
Thats all the family though. The servants are another whole thing-
Sanna- The main spreader of our goddess belief. She has a more of a knack for convincing people than me. She's a cook and an awesome fighter. Though she's old as bones so she stays in the kitchen more times than not.
Katyusha- main gardener and creates art statues for the buildings. Shes got a natural talent for melee fighting but if only she had more experience.
Homann/Hailey- Second gardener and our second nurse. She's a night owl so shes good for making sure no one dies overnight because when MJ goes to sleep not even a raid can wake her up.
Sarai-A kid that decided to stay from a refugee group. Shes a little sweetheart and shes got a heart and the hands for making things so she might be our main builder in the future.
Lifan- a poor sad boy. He got changed into a mushroom fungoid after a fight and its had his upsides and downsides for him. He lost his wife in that fight and got the sad news that he is now stertile too. Him and his wife were trying for a child and he's always wanted to be a father. His aunt has come and i hope she can brighten his mood again. The upside to his transformation is that now he's basically a walking super soldier. He was already really strong before but now that he's also a psycaster(maining fire and warlord) and he has sick natural armour and healing abilities, he's overpowered as ever. Plus he can only die if you cut off his head or neck. Used to think those fungi things were disgusting but Lifan is a pretty uhhhhh strong dude so hes fine in my book.

🎒 A Day in Cusco’s Markets: The Color, Chaos, and Culture If you want to understand Cusco’s heart, visit its markets. Start at San Pedro Market, where fruit sellers sing their prices, and the scent of roasted corn and spicy soups fills the air. Here, the local rhythm beats loudest. 🍋🥣
Wander through aisles of coca leaves, Andean herbs, handwoven belts, and stacks of colorful potatoes. Every vendor has a story. Ask questions, try something new—perhaps a lucuma smoothie or alpaca empanada. Markets in Cusco are not only about shopping—they’re about human connection. 🧺🗣️
Later, head to Baratillo or El Molino, where secondhand goods, antiques, and odd treasures wait to be found. It’s here that Cusqueños come to trade, haggle, and laugh. There’s a beauty in the everyday chaos, in the way it brings people together. 🔍💬
Markets reveal the soul of a place. In Cusco, they offer not just food or crafts—but insight into the stories, struggles, and joy of life in the Andes. #CuscoMarkets #SanPedroVibes #TasteAndeanLife #PeruvianCulture #MarketMagic

Unraveling the Mysteries of Andean Villages
Hidden among the rugged peaks and rolling hills of the Andes are villages where time seems to stand still. These communities, often isolated from the modern world, continue to practice traditions that have been passed down for generations. Their way of life, deeply rooted in nature and ancestral wisdom, offers a glimpse into a world where simplicity and harmony reign.
A journey with Andean Peru Discover takes travelers beyond the well-trodden tourist paths, deep into the heart of these villages. Here, visitors can witness the art of weaving, where skilled hands transform alpaca wool into intricate textiles, each pattern telling a story of lineage and identity. The vibrant colors, derived from natural dyes, reflect the hues of the Andean landscape—earthy reds, deep blues, and golden yellows.
Beyond the artistry, the hospitality of the Andean people is what truly stands out. Visitors are welcomed with open arms, invited to share meals of hearty quinoa soup, fresh corn, and potatoes prepared in ways that date back to the Inca era. The warmth of these encounters creates a profound connection, reminding travelers that true wealth lies not in material possessions, but in community and tradition.
These villages are not just places to visit; they are living cultural treasures that preserve the essence of Andean heritage. To walk their streets, listen to their stories, and share in their customs is to become part of something timeless. And with Andean Peru Discover, every traveler has the chance to do just that.
