Gregory lay in his bed listening to the rain on the farmhouse roof - his farmhouse roof! He owned the orchard now. No more orders from Julio Allermann - his well meaning father. He actually pulled it off! He couldn't believe he had actually pulled it off. To be fair, it wasn't torture. Thariem was easy to love. He smiled when he thought of how conflicted he had been. He wanted to get engaged and married to her, but he also feared it at the same time.

Asking his father for funds was easy. Julio was a family oriented sim at heart and he was elated at the news of Gregory wanting to marry and settle down. He was a sly, clever fox - even if he had to say so himself. He invited Thariem over and waited for his father to answer the door. He knew that her friendly, warm personality would win good old Julio over in no time. He casually strolled down the stairs, ring in his pocket and could hear them chatter about the chilly weather and a soup recipe to chase the cold away. A phone call interrupted their chat and after taking the call Julio excused himself giving the two of the an approving smile and a pat of Gregory's shoulder - "Don't hurt her son, she's a keeper".

Gregory dropped to one knee and made her the happiest he had ever seen her. He gave a satisfied grin at the thought of the expression on her face at that very moment. He had to admit, it was wonderful being loved and adored the way she did him.

Cu Chí Tunnel

Wie bereits im letzten Eintrag geschrieben, sintzem wir aktuell im Bus nach Da Lat. Aber vorher wollte ich dem Bildungsauftrag natürlich nachkommen und so haben wir uns heute Vormittag die Cu Chí Tunnel angesehen, ein großes ausgeklügeltes Tunnelsystem mit Hilfe dessen die Vietnamesen den Amerikanern im Krieg erbitterten Wiederstand leistete. Das System liegt etwas unter zwei Stunden entfernt von Saigon, was damals die Hauptbasis der US Armee war. Man muss sagen in Anbetracht der einfachen Mittel Wahnsinn, wie die Vietnamesen die Army in die Knie zwingen konnte. Es handelt sich dabei um ein top durchdachtee unterirdisches Tunnelsystem, das wohl bis auf 200 km Gesamtlänge angewachsen ist. Bei dem Ausflug wurde unter anderem vermittelt, wie sich die Krieger durch ein geschicktes Lüftungssystem teils jahrelang in den Tunneln aufhalten konnte. Was auch wahrlich faszinierend wirkt sind die versteckten Ausgänge. Mithilfe dieser und einiger wirklich grausamen Fallen konnten die US Soldaten oftmals total überrumpelt werden. Der tollste Part für allermann war dann wohl das, naja wollen wir es Laufen durch einen der Tunnel nennen. Der Tunnel war vergrößert worden für Touristen, man musste sich allerdings so bücken, daß das Ganze nicht unbedingt als Spaß rüber kam. Naja seis drum, denn abgesehen davon, dass wir nur 40 Meter vor uns hatten, mussten die Soldaten alles auf den Knien durchkriechen. Nur schwer auszumalen wie so ein jahrelanges Leben in den Tunneln gewesen sein muss. Alles in allem wirklich eine ausgeklügeltes System, man kann jedoch froh sein damals auf keiner der beiden Seiten dabei gewesen zu sein.

Auf alle Fälle sitzen wir jetzt nach dem Ausflug schon 7 Std im Bus ins Hochland. Wir lassen uns mal überraschen was uns dort so erwartet.

Thariem thought of how she had met Gregory. They bumped into eachother in front of the busy police station where she works. She had documents in her hands and she was in such a hurry. They were scattered all over and she was about to give the man who had bumped into her a piece of her mind but then he looked at her with his big, warm brown eyes and she was speechless. He immediately apologised and collected the files and documents. " I will need to take you to dinner to properly apologise for my clumsiness, officer." She will never forget those words. He swept her off her feet and every hot date that followed just made her more and more besotted with this beautiful man. When she found out she was pregnant, she was a bit afraid of what his response would be. Would he marry her or would the thought of having a baby cool the flames between them. He already had a daughter from a previous relationship. Thariem didn't want to give up what they had. She was elated about the idea of having a baby with Gregory Allermann but would he feel the same?

Hard working Julio Allermann is the patriarch of this family. He is an honest and loving farmer who never thought he would find love after the death of his first wife, but a beautiful young lady came into his life and genuinely seemed to care for him and his family. She comes from a well known horse ranching family and has enough money of her own. What could she possibly see in such an old man? But it seems like her feelings for him has to be genuine. The neighbours wonder at this union since she is his eldest son's age but these two could not be happier. Who would have ever thought that Julio would become a father again at his ripe old age? Little Julius and Wendy Allermann is bringing him such joy. He hopes to live long enough to see them grow up.

He was a clever, sly fox - even if he had to say so himself. He let his father know that he had fallen in love and needed funds to buy an engagement ring. His father was naturally over the moon. Then he invited Thariem over, but let his father answer the door - knowing full well that Thariem's friendly, warm personality will win Julio over in no time. As he stoled down stairs with the ring in his pocket, he heard them chatter about a soup recipe and rainy weather. His father left them alone with an approving smile after the phone rang and Gregory dropped to his knee. Thariem's response made him smile with satisfaction. It was really nice to have someone love and adore you the way she did him.

Wanda is one of 4 siblings who inherited a horse ranch, but they ultimately decided that her older brother Wilhelm should take the reigns. He has a wife, called Lizelle and they have a sweet little toddler called William. Lizelle loves the ranch and enjoys spending time with the horses, since her parents and brother specialise in tomato farming and didn't keep that many farm animals when she grew up.

Her blond haired older brother is about to get married to Bev Fox who runs a pet store with her two brothers. Charles decided to move away from horse ranching and try his hand at poultry instead. He is excited about this new venture and hopes that Bev will help him on their new farm. She does still hold on to her dream of becoming a marine biologist one day.

Wanda's younger sister married one of the Fox brothers who run the pet store ( 😁yes Bev who will marry Charles is their sister). Wilma and Monteque Fox is expecting their first baby and while they are a bit preoccupied right now, Monteque's brother, Lewis takes over the majority of the pet sales and care. Lewis is actually a rather talented veterinarian, so he is mostly successful - except for the one red parrot who randomly died😔...

So that is the Allermann and Swarts families of Bluewaterview. I will share some background on some of the other residents too... Just to show what I have been up to.

Rene' Allermann: Delivered on her illegitimate father's doorstep by a mother who she never knew, shortly after her birth. Her father must have some idea who her mother is, but says that he is not sure and has no more contact with any of his previous girlfriends. Rene's grandfather has put pressure on Rene' s father Gregory to settle down and give Rene the stability she needs, but will Rene get along with her new stepmother and her new half-sister? She puts in a good effort from her side, but her shy nature makes it hard to embrace all these new changes. Life isn't easy for Rene, but she loses herself in the pictures she paints on her easel to help her cope with it all.

Did Gregory only marry Thariem to prove to his father that he has settled down and is responsible enough to take over the family apple orchard? And what about his secret wish to romance his father's new young wife? Has he let that go? Can he succeed in running the orchard well or will he run it to the ground. The Allermann's have a good family name, but Gregory is on the edge of ripping it to shreds if his secrets should ever come to light. ( My new fun little project)
