i finally watched hunchback of notre dame and it was great, i almost cried only once and Hellfire indeed changed me
#all the psalm singing and that really specific bg song they were playing entering the church- I've heard them before#that almost made me cry it was like i was right back in my home church#like. deep overwhelming nostalgia and grief and guilt all in one awesome moment ! also pretty woman on screen!#all the latin singing?? i recognized so much it was like a sensation in my teeth#and heaven's light/hellfire made me start banging my head into a wall about maiceo#i was so annoying to my friends and i was containing myself sO strongly#make me feel like im curling up in my skin and want to bash maiceo's head in with a stick#i kinda see why my household did not have this movie available for me. and then i just didn't get around to it.... its very interesting#ive read some complaints about the representation in this movie and i see what they mean but overall i see why its a classic Disney film#quail talks
