going to a cafe with the jujutsu kaisen men a/n: (based on irl experience with a wide variety of subpar men) 😭 gojo's order being my order...aurkay!
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
gojo — def the type to walk in and push his sunglasses down to check out the place. his order def goes something like a venti caramel macchiato with almond milk, two pumps of vanilla and two pumps of hazelnut, and a little caramel swirl at the top. smiles and is friendly to all the baristas, he's never rude to workers. tells the barista is gojo, with an o. whoever's unfortunate enough to be stuck next to him is doomed to hear him wax poetic about how coffee beans are the soul of the earth, and its 'really deep, you wouldn't get it lol'. if you order a black coffee, he'll ask if everything is okay at home. can't leave the cafe without ordering a $8.00 sweet treat and then wondering why all his purchases are adding up
geto — walks in as if he's a regular and tells the barista that he'll have his 'regular'. the barista has never seen him before. probably orders a flat white, double shot of espresso, no foam. he always says he doesn't have to pretend to like foam because he's chill like that. he'll ask for the wifi password, but only so he can show off how good he is at working in a cafe, but his ass is on coolmathsgames. will nod and pretend to care about whatever you're saying but he's still thinking about coolmathsgames. will also drop random metaphors like 'life is just like coffee. you either take it strong or with sugar.' you tell him to save the bad metaphors for his cult.
nanami — doesn't wander or hesitate when he enters the cafe. checks his watch every five minute. orders a black coffe, medium, and adds one packet of sugar. he's pretty good at ordering what he wants efficiently, and it leaves even the barista worried. he's here to relax so don't ask him any unnecessary question because this man needs a break. actually enjoys eavesdropping on people's conversations, and ends up tilting his angle to snoop on gossip better. avoids small talk like its another curse. you can't really make him react too much in a cafe, unless you spill coffee on his freshly pressed suit. will be passive aggressive and suggest that the cafe chooses better music. likes a good, dependable pastry. apple danishes are a favourite.
sukuna — prefers tea, without debate. but still orders relatively normal things. likes a good latte with chocolate syrup. but the king of curses kinda has to look cool, so he powers his way through a black coffee, with no sugar or milk. you swear his eyes are tearing up as he pretends to like it. after every sip of coffee, he sighs really loudly and it gets a bit annoying. even after you ask what's wrong, he says its nothing and continues to sigh loudly. nanami may be the one who eavesdrops, but sukuna is the one who interferes. will turn around in his chair to give unsolicited advice, but he genuinely thinks he's being helpful by telling schoolgirls to buy cleavers to chop their friends' hands off. is mildly offended when they move tables and give him weird looks. passes loud comments on other people and tells couples when he thinks they will breakup. attempts to connect to the wifi three times before threatening to burn the router.
toji — the barista asks if he wants a pastry with his drink and he asks 'do i look like the type of man to eat a muffin?' but if they're free, he'll take two. sits with his back to the wall like he's in a mob movie. god help anyone who sits too close to him, he really just doesn't trust anyone in his personal space. doesn't even acknowledge the existence of others until he's had at least three sips of his coffee. you could tell him his house is on fire, and he’d just mutter that he can't do anything about it now. types the wifi password on his phone with one finger like a caveman. tells parents to 'control their spawn' but entertains kids with coin tricks when no-one is looking. sometimes struggles to fit the lid on his go-to cup, and refuses to asks for help. wrestles with it for five minutes, getting increasingly annoyed before rushing out the door.
choso (this one is dedicated to pookie @creamflix) — frowns at the menu like it's written in an ancient language, like wtf is affogato. if someone behinds him coughs, he scolds them and says he's going as fast as he cans. spends 10 minutes deciding and then panics at the last second, tells the barista to give him whatever. if the barista asks any follow up questions (like milk preferences) he genuinely short circuits, "what kinds of milk are there?" he's genuinely baffled that there are options beyond 'cow.' he'll point at a pastry and ask what's in it. the barista explains and he replies with 'okay i trust you.' always ends up picking a wobbly table by accident and spends 15 minutes trying to fix it with folded napkins. if someone asks to share his table, he'll look like they just asked for his kidneys. if someone asks for his opinion on his pastry, its always a dumbass cryptic answer like 'its interesting.' uses his phone on full brightness and everyone can see him look up 'how to pronounce cafe au lait.' cleans up after himself because he's nice like that. if the staff get his order wrong, he never says anything even if it tastes like dirt.

Hi! Big fan of your au, got some questions
1. What's Vox's routine like in hell?
2. Now that Vox has been in hell for a while, are there things that make him uncomfortable (aside from wifi problems) and what things he finds interesting or actually likes?
3. Who's attention do you think is "worth" for Vox to win over? Winners or sinners? Or, maybe, everyone??
Thank you!
Vox's routine: Wake up E A R L Y Avoid whatever eldritch shadow booby trap that red radio guy set for him, if present. Communal breakfast! To socialize and BOND. (evidence suggests friendships and connections is a key part to redemption) Depending on whether Angel Dust works in the day or night, Vox will spend his working day helping Emily and Charlie with whatever activities they have Angel doing. He drafts and films commercials too - though getting them aired in good channels and in good timeslots is tricky. And since certain events led to him learning how to… handle himself, he'll brush shoulders with other sinners in Hell to track down anyone that might be interested in the hotel. He also wants to get sinners used to seeing him, an angel, walking around. He wants sinners to Trust Him so he can do his job. Free time is spent with Emily at first, then leans more towards Val, who mostly hangs out in a variety of clubs.
Which has gotten Vox pretty used to that sort of crowd. Before, he'd wait in a backroom or outside of a club to talk to Val but now he has no problem going inside and just hanging out with him. Val will occasionally take him to his place or Velvette's studio where its more quiet if he feels the angel is a bit. Twitchy.
Seeing dead sinners on the street and hanging from lampposts makes Vox uncomfortable. Like he doesn't know what happened or how and that unnerves him. He feels a need to know. Strangely, he doesn't mind seeing the act of murder happen. It's a shock when it happens suddenly, but it doesn't bother him. That was a weird thing to discover about himself.
Things he likes? Idk. Val. Velvette. Maybe the fast food. Some risque humor. Heaven's better, though. He misses Heaven. And Vark.
The only attention Vox genuinely values is from Emily and other Winners. Sinners are only potential future Winners. He wants to turn Sinners into Winners, then he'll start valuing them. Maybe. Pentious was kind of annoying. There's no one's attention in Hell worth winning over - it's not like he's staying there forever.
Charlie and Lucifer show an interest in him, so he treats them politely and respectfully enough, but he doesn't seek their attention. Lucifer is a high power but he's still the one who caused all of this so Vox kind of wants to avoid getting too familiar with the devil. Charlie just isn't respected by sinners so the only value she has is her status and ownership of the hotel. She's also like… annoyingly friendly with Emily. Vaggie feels like the other Winners back home - even though she's an Exorcist. Ex-Exorcist. Whatever. As long as she chooses to live in Hell, Vox isn't interested in her either.
Valentino and Velvette are different. He's graciously giving them attention. At least they're grateful for it and happily let him into their space and let him watch whatever he wants. Much better than other sinners - some winners, even! Don't tell anyone he said that though.
He'll take their attention for as long as they freely give it.

Is it wonderful pixel art, is it amazing, always surprising, inspiring, all of those things together
Each and every time I discover new creations it only confirms the importance of PAF, the Pixel Art Foundation in New York, that is both a huge interactive gallery, probably a building of several floors, and a datacenter
To preserve these digital creations for now and for the future, to curate them, to give pixel art its by now well deserved place in digital arts, and visual arts in general
We want to attract millions of visitors, if you are going to dream dream big, New York is the city that never sleeps, the Foundation's galleries never sleep, tight security at the doors
Show up at any hour day and night, enjoy having coffee or your favorite smoothie, in settings that simply put are always changing, always new collections, new themes
That's how vast and diverse pixel art is, that is how essential the Foundation is
What is life like in the digital connected fast paced era, you show up at the Foundation with your laptop at 3AM and some work you want to finish, you appreciate the settings, it's wired, with screens all around you featuring the pixel art you are into, or that you are discovering
What if you could grab grocery essentials, fruits & veggies, or weed at the coffee shop while you are there, all at fair prices, doesn't it make your visit all the more interesting, because now you are not only enjoying your time but making it efficient
In my opinion the reason why you either live in New York or visit New York, is to help make "Only in New York" in all that it holds that is both positive and different, a reality
Why Sony, or Sony & Partners, aside from the corporate image of Sony as a leading visual arts enabler, we can foresee a future, that is already there, where digital art becomes part of your living room, of you bedroom and office
And that takes screens, of all sizes, both rectangular and square, ie PAF is an entry point for Sony to produce the interactive frames of the digital age
Where same as you have a music collection you also have a digital art collection, you probably have it already sitting on a drive, the next big thing might just be making it part of your interiors, at home and at work
PAF is a giant concept proof of that, it's walls are littered with screens of various sizes and shapes that feature pixel art creations
They are not tablets, rather lighter solutions, that will still connect to WiFi, and enable screen settings or respond to ambient light, and work as an ensemble of units so that you can switch from one collection or theme to another
They can be color themes or anything you like, we are past rotating screensavers, there are digital art pieces that you relate to and that you will love to have exposed in your living room or elsewhere, permanently
And there is AI and what it allows, such as surprising you when you get back late from work, with a piece just like this one, because it knows that you might like it based on other items in your collection, and you might want to buy it also and make it yours, all of it is a business line for Sony & Partners, both hardware or digital content
Which needs to have a guaranteed value, that art piece that you bought is not going anywhere if the drive fails, rather you can be assured that it will always be kept for you in a capable datacenter, and so your collection has a perennial value
That value might increase with time, certain artists might become very sought, some pieces might have limited copies, you could you should actually be able to sell or auction your digital art same as you bought it
This piece here might cost 15 Dollars, come with a limited number of copies with digital even print certificates by the artist, if they're all gone and people still want it, this same piece might be worth 1500 Dollars, art is a market and same as any other market value follows demand
But people will not be able to have it or how are we going to stop them from having it and that is going to choke pixel art creation as such even kill it, wrong on all counts they might have it all they want, we want them to have it, we are in the essence talking about owning it, which takes either a secure digital rights certificate or print certificate or both
See the more people have it, want it, the more value it has, for those who own it
The billboards that Time Square has, PAF is interested in one, encounter this very same piece on a Time Square billboard and know for a fact that your property has value, that it in fact has just increased with exposure
Which is not to say that this guy is proposing to invent something new, it exists already, people invest in digital art why DRM was created in the first place is not just about music or movies
Now within digital art PAF is meant to put the scope on pixel art and to broaden the investment opportunity for all
it's your luck if you bought this for 15 bucks because you like it and it ends up being worth much more, and the first thing about luck is making it happen
Next you have followers because the pieces that you buy pick up value, Sony is not just any business, Sony is a business based on creativity, creativity entails not waiting for business but very much creating it
So we have went broad and extensive, our present goal is setting up the Pixel Art Foundation, finding the right location and building for it, what borough, and getting it up and running
To accomplish its daunting task really, to up all of pixel art under one roof in order to preserve it from digital waste, to curate it and feature it, as well as establish revenue lines for its creators
Thank you for having followed
By Sony & Partners

Patterns 🧡
Edit: Thank you all so much for the support! If you like spooky pixel art, please give me a follow or check out my Cotton Bureau shop 😌

Dancing lessons
Barry Berkman x reader
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Summary: Barry is finally cast in a feature, the problem? He said he could dance and now he can either disappoint Sally or found a way to learn some steps.
Warnings: Swearing, blood, violence, guns, cheating maybe.
Part 1 ● Part 2 ● Part 3 ● Part 4 ● Part 5 ● Part 6 ● Part 7 ● Part 8 ● Epilogue
Part 2
One week after the first time Barry meet Y/N he was nowhere near learning tango, let alone dancing on the level his stupid resume said he could, he only have ended with horrible pain on his knees, thighs and back. And he hasn't even practice dancing with music yet, apparently his instructor thought he first had to learn one basic step and repeat it a million times before he could start doing the "flashy and presumptuous" step, as she called them, that the director may want.
"You really don't have to worry" Sally said during breakfast, they have an agreement to spend the night at least twice a week in each other apartment but he could tell she rather if he stayed at hers since Jermaine and Nick didn't get along with her. "That girl you say is dancing with you, I just heard from Lindsay that she is totally sleeping with the director so probably the scene is an excuse to show her dancing talent and they will be focusing on her instead of you" She drank the rest of her orange juice and stood up quickly "God is so late" she checked her phone and gave him a kiss on the cheek before taking her purse and keys and rush to the door "I'll see you tonight ok? Good luck!"
"Bye, I love..." And then she was gone. "You" He finished his breakfast and took his own car to the studio where he had to finish filming his scenes.
"Barry you're here, excellent!" Andre said when he arrived, thankfully he was not the star of the film and he didn't have to listen the hundred of notes he had for the leads nor taking all the shit the PAs get from him. "Look" He said pointing at his tablet "Janice is on New York for three more weeks for a Ballet presentation, but she sent this to me, is the perfect choreography for the scene. What do you think?" He showed her a clip of Janice and some professional dancer with a song he didn't knew, probably in Spanish or Italian, dancing incredibly close, with several lifts and spins.
"Great" He said feeling dizzy "Flashy and presumptuous" He add really low.
"What was that?"
"Classy and marvelous, is a modern take on the Argentine style isn't?" He said repeating what Y/N had said to him the day before.
"I have no idea, but hey you are the expert" He gave him a pat on the back. "You can start rehearsing with Janice when she gets back" He didn't like that kind of touching, it reminded him of Fuches and make him feel uneasy.
"Sure, great, hey could you send me that video, you know to study her movements" he tried to sound casual and not frightened as he was.
"Yeah sure" he said and with a hand gesture urged him to move to the set where he got to start shooting.
The minute he was over he drove back to Y/N's studio and saw her giving her class to young girls all dressed as ballerinas, she was wearing a black seetrough dancing skirt over a leotard, and his eyes lingered on her legs a few seconds more than he should mesmerized as he was by the elegance she used to dance.
"Barry you are early" She saluted him with a smile, "Girls say hi to Mr. Block" she said at the mass of pink and white.
"Hi Mr. Block" They cheered.
"I'll be done in a few minutes but this really is a private rehearsal" She pat her lips with one finger thinking "Would you mind waiting upstairs? I mean I would hate for you to drive back home to come back in less than an hour, and the coffee place on this block sucks" She said and the girls start laughing "Don't tell your mothers" She quickly add.
"I don't want to be a burden"
"Oh nonsense, you are not, go upstairs, I have food on the fridge but I wouldn't recommend it since you are dancing later and the WiFi password is written next to the phone" She insisted and he finally accept.
The apartment was just a little bigger than the one he rented with Jermaine and had a nice walls on a blue shade that reminded him of the ocean. And a big window facing directly to the door, so the first thing you see when you entered were the rooftop of other buildings and the hills in the back.
He entered feeling himself as an intruder, but being honest that was a common feeling for him, even if he haven't break in any place in over a year, a very long year, and again the pain of thinking of Fuches maybe lurking around strike him in the chest.
He found a place to sit and after being 5 minutes in complete silence trying to not be alone with his thoughts he took out his laptop to watch the dance again. Next to the landline was a nice picture of Y/N on his wedding dress next to a man that must be her husband with golden letters and numbers written over: JPTLV150813.
Once he was connected he allow himself to look around, the living room was tastefully decorated and there were some framed paintings of wild flowers on the wall in purples and pinks. He glance at their dinner table in the other room next to her kitchen, and while he was still holding he picture his mind start wandering, maybe Sally would like to live with him in a place like that. Full of light and peaceful.
He picture himself waking every morning and walking towards the kitchen to make her breakfast, she getting out of the set exhausted, to get a glass of wine in the living room. Reading lines together in the couch, and falling asleep there watching a movie.
And then since he hadn't sleep wery well and Y/N couch was madly comfortable he fall asleep still holding the picture and suddenly Sally's face start fading away, and Y/N replaced her, in a blue version of the clothes she was wearing earlier, he saw himself dancing with her on the living room, a slow and romantic rhythm, and instead of her husband it was him smiling on the picture next to the phone. She would come upstairs tired from work and he would stop her at the door to give her a passionate kiss... then the sound of a gun going off came from the window and a blood stain start forming in her chest running and she collapsing on his arms, and then it was Sally lifeless body again who he was holding and she whispered before losing her breath You did this and fearful he looked at his own hand holding the gun...
"Barry?" Y/N's voice came from the door, and immediately woke up and shake those horrifying ideas from his mind.
"Here" He call from the couch and was careful enough to not look back and don't picture her covered in blood
"I'm so done, boy I'm glad you came upstairs, Amanda's mother is a pain in the ass, if she have seen you she would have called the cops or something" She said and sit in next of him, she was already wearing the heels she used to practice with him. "What you got there?" She said looking at the screen where the video of Janice was still on.
"Is the dance I'm supposed to do for the movie" He said glad to have something to said and he showed her the clip.
"Well... you are screwed" She said after it was finish and he gave her an imploring look. "I'm kidding, I mean is a monstrosity of showing off, and her technique is not perfect, but I'm pretty sure you can put together something, like Ed Sheeran on Thinking out loud". She said confidently.
"Who?" He asked with no idea of what she meant.
"He is a British singer, we are probably too old to know him, but couples come all the time trying to learn his routine for their wedding" She said, but his face was still puzzled "You are not very familiar with pop culture, for an actor living in L.A. I mean" She stood up and walked towards her kitchen "Do you want anything? I have wine, beer, orange juice?" She called from the other room.
"Beer is fine, and is because I only became an actor recently" He said with some embarrassment in his voice taking the bottleshe offered him "I used to amm... sell auto parts in Cleveland"
"Ohio, that's ... far" she said taking a sip of her drink.
"And before that I was a Marine" He add and she almost spit her beer but did her best to pass it down.
"Oh wow, that's unusual. I would definitely say thank you for your service, but I'm antiwar so what if I gave you a 10 percent off on the lessons and we call it even?" She grin at him
"Don't worry about that, I don't like to make a big deal about it anyway" He said sincerely "Also I'm pretty sure you are wasting your time with me"
"Don't be so harsh on yourself, here look" She took the laptop off his hands and found a video of a ginger man singing a cheezy song about eternal love "See he is not properly dancing, but he act like he is, so first you have to learn how to lead, come on take off your shoes"
"Take them off? Why?" He asked while she got rid off her heels and let her bare feet touch the wooden floor.
"Because, and I mean this with respect" She said standing and looking for a record to put in her old record player until she found one "You are huge, and I'm afraid you would step on me with those shoes" a slow rhythm start playing and he did what she asked and stood barefoot in front of her.
"That doesn't sound like the other songs" Although he like it.
"Because you have to learn to walk before you can run, now, put both of your hands on my hips" She said getting closer to him.
"Like this?" It was funny how without the heels she was way shorter and couldn't completely reach her neck so she settled for put both hands on his shoulders.
"Fine now listen to the music and move" She said moving her body rhythmically "There you go, now move me, lead, right or left, is your choice" She said letting him take small steps and occasionally looking down to watch his feet.
"This is not that bad actually" Barry was actually enjoying himself, then the music start going faster and she took his right hand on hers and pull away from him and he chose to ignore the feeling of lost that caused him.
"Now, the hand on my back has to be steady, and lead, we can spin" She said and taught him how "Or we can walk" She started walking back slowly letting him follow the steps at his own pace. "Is all about who is leading" She gave him a smile and they kept dancing until the music was ending and since he had confidence now he make her spin and catch her on his arm like Janice's partner did on the clip.
"Sorry I always wanted to try that" he said once she was standing next to him.
"It was great, you are getting it, now we can try to improve your actual steps, but we should go downstairs, my husband is about to comeback and he hates having music on when he is working" She put on her shoes again and walked out followed by Barry.

Welcome to today's song analysis with Pierce and Greggi @sobbing-spruce
Today we do Constellation by Darwin Deez. This song has an emotional connection to Greggi, as the song calls into action whether amonst millions celestial bodies, how can we ever know when a connection is real and how do we know that our existence matters? The line "There’s a million little lights. When the sky turns black tonight" Symbolizes all the people in da club going out and trying to form a connection, much like how the stars, alone in their vastness, are added to a constellation and made more important in humanities eye. The line "Are there patterns in our skies? Are patterns only in our eyes?" questions whether we force love and connections out of thin air to try to understand our feelings and make life feel more meaningful. This is conveyed much like how humanity takes simple stars and forces patterns through constellations to try to find meaning aming the vast sky. "Or is a constellation just a constellation? Is a constellation just a consolation?" Wondering whether the connections we force ourselves to make and how we try to make something beautiful even though the connection might not be good (and not cuz of bad wifi). "Wrinkle, wrinkle, little scar, Count the freckles on my arm, If freckles don’t mean anything, Does anything mean anything?" Either suggesting how arbitrary importance is placed on certain things and why we don't place more importance on freckles, and shat does this say what does this say about what we value in ourselves and in others or it's suggesting that even the small parts of us make up who we are and yet they're ignored, making us wonder if anything we do ends up mattering in the long run. "We are twinkling stars, Resurrected, Just like twinkling stars, We seem connected, But I know, That a constellation is just a constellation" Again, Darwin Deez shows us how we force connections that aren't there just like how you force connections between the stars through constellations even though those stars are distant from each other and the connection doesn't exist.
Our rating of the song: 9.5/10

Voting in the 2020's
So this might very well be a hot take but I don't really care.
Voting should not be easy. Let me explain since many of you just lost your shit. The barrier to entry for voting (at least in the US) should be a few things. An actual desire to vote. Legal identification showing you are a citizen. A proper time and date. Lastly, a signature.
Getting a state ID or drivers license is NOT expensive and requires very little in the way of effort. This prevents, or should prevent illegals from voting in our elections. And if you don't know why that should be a thing then you don't understand the fundamentals of what a COUNTRY is. Look at most other countries outside of the US. Tight borders and often pretty well regulated voting laws. The US? CA letting illegal immigrants vote in their state elections. This not counting the fact that those illegals vote by proxy for the president. Why? Because they are counted by the census. And for every single body that california can smuggle here into the US, is another vote they have.
And of course all of that is on purpose. Because those illegals also work on farms for dirt wages and have zero health care. And that's not counting all the women and children smuggled across the borders as sex slaves. Because there are many. 1000's a day. That however, is a different discussion.
Why all these rules then? Because our elections should be done by people whom legally live here. Ya know, US citizens, whom have to stay here unless they get a visa to a different country to try to stay there (because most countries WOULD deport your ass on the spot no questions asked). Because the people that live here legally have a vested interest in the laws and the people who oversee those laws. As such there are things we should be doing to make our elections safer and more accurate. Some are as listed before but I will list them again. (Some of these will also be changes to voter laws and regulations as well)
All voters should present legal ID to prove not only that they are who they say they are, but also that they are a legal resident.
All voters should have to show up in person (the only exception being absentee ballots and those should have to be applied for properly) to vote.
All voting machines that count ballots should be open source and all machines should be checked multiple times before use and after use. Being quarantined after the initial check only to be placed out by professionals whom are either non partisan or bipartisan. Also being quarantined after the voting is finished so that way the machine can be checked for tampering. Machines should also not be allowed in any way to connect to WiFi at all at any time. Only able to show results through an admin prompt.
All businesses should be legally required to give their associates time off for them to vote. Even if that means finding time to give them off time before their regular shift or having them come in earlier so that they can leave earlier to go vote.
Ballot harvesting should be illegal outright. If you can't be bothered to put in your own votes you should not be allowed to vote. And if something is the case where you need an absentee ballot then you should be able to send it off on your own after having mailed to your current residence.
Door to door voting campaigns should also be illegal. Again if a person doesn't want to vote that is their choice. Let them reap the consequences of not voting. Radio/TV/Internet ads are plenty.
Signatures should be required to vote. Even absentee ballots are included in this.
Mail in voting should be made illegal outright. It is far too easy to abuse and makes corruption far more easy.
Voter fraud should be investigated and prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. No exceptions.
Party rolls should be removed from the ballots completely. If you don't know who you are voting for, then you should not be voting at all.
This is more an in general but one of two things needs to happen. Political parties should be abolished and made illegal outright. Or the US should have to have 5 VIABLE political parties. With laws put in place that if there is excessive collaboration between them, like consolidating power, then the parties will be removed from the next election cycles until they can prove otherwise. (This to prevent the extra parties from all just consolidating power within one another and making a 3/2 indefinite party control.)
Basically this is more or less what I feel would fix our systems when it came to voting. And the reason i'm not for a voting week or voting month is because it's a lot harder to fix an election in a day than it is over a course of a week or a month. More over, While i don't want the federal government to have more power than need be, elections that do no abide by the constitution of each state they are done in should be thrown out. If you can't be bothered to follow your own states constitution, why would I believe that you'd follow the ideals of the US constitution?
Long story short. If you want to vote then vote. If you can't be bothered to vote then don't. And for love of god start voting in local elections. Town, city, state, etc. And no. Voting is not a right. It's a privilege. One that you can lose to due process. So it should not be the easiest thing in the world to do. Because if you are just voting strait down party lines, I'm going to assume you're uninformed in general and have no clue what's going on around you.

9 Things Harry Potter Wizards Unite Doesn't Really Tell You (But Definitely Should)
Harry Potter: Wizards Unite shares a lot of parallels with Niantic's other walkabout games - most notably the mega-popular Pokémon GO. You probably wouldn't have thought J.K. Rowling's Wizarding World would rival the natural collectability of Pokémon, but Niantic found a way. These similarities mean it's pretty straight forward for a Pokémon GO player to drop right in with little to no knowledge of the Harry Potter franchise. And for those who haven't played either, we have a handy Beginner's Guide over here.
For some in-depth tips on Locations, you can also go here. Don't forget the Brilliant Event is also now live.
Wizards Unite is a far chattier game than Pokémon GO was at the start - there's an actual story and everything! But in-game tutorials can only go so far. Just because it holds you hand for a good little while, it doesn't tell you absolutely everything you need to know. In this Harry Potter: Wizards Unite tips guide, we'll be detailing some very useful pointers we think all wizards and witches should know from the start.

Harry Potter Wizards Unite is mostly centred around filling the Registry. It's where all your Foundables are logged as you return them through Traces. Foundables are catalogued through different types; but reliably finding specific types to help complete the registry can be difficult, as more areas will spawn randomized foundables that may be of no use to you. But there is a way to more reliably spawn the extra type of Foundable you need to build up a specific page of your Registry or increase your Rank.
On your walks, you may occasionally come across large, thin flags shooting up from the map. Tap one of these and you'll see an area around it light up. These are designated areas were Traces specific types will appear - the type dependant on the point of interest it marks. There's no sure-fire way to track these down, but areas like parks, libraries, and government buildings area usually prime candidates. My local sports club is one, but my small library is not. One town over, however, and its larger library is. And even the bus station. It pays to get out there.
Use Those Double EXP Potions
Now this may have just been an oversight on my end, but it took me a good little while to find these in my bag. Harry Potter Wizards Unite places a large emphasis on Potions. But most of the time they're making your spells stronger or replenishing your Stamina in fights. You're always being told to hold onto these for difficult situations, so glossing over these potent bottles of levelling juice (Ok, Baruffio's Brain Elixer) is a real possibility. I only found these when I reach around Level 10, and boy would they have sped that whole process along.
Double EXP potions like these are best used in high-level fights or when you're collecting lots of Foundables. Able to double the EXP gained from the already substantial new Foundable bonus, using these when surrounded by Foundables at an early level will have dramatic results and can catapult a new player to level 10 – where things really start to heat up.
Portmanteaus Are Not Reliable EXP Sources
Back in the early days of Pokémon GO, a great time to use a Lucky Egg (it's version of Baruffio's Brain Elixer) was when multiple 10 KM eggs (portmanteaus) were ready to hatch. This was because they gave a massive amount of EXP that could then be doubled for a quick boost. Unfortunately,  Portmanteaus don't work the same way. You can find decent amounts of EXP within the portals, but when you have no idea what you'll actually get, using a valuable EXP potion here is more often than not going to be a wasted effort. Save them for what really matters.
Foundables Can Run Away
Another element taken straight from Pokémon GO is the chance for Foundables to just disappear when you fail to snare them. If you've had a Foundable just fizzle out of existence after an unsuccessful trace, that's RNG showing it's ugly face. You'll usually be met with a notice telling you of what's happened, but sometimes you won't be dealt that pleasantry. Worse yet, the notice only explains how. Never why.
There's no solid evidence just yet, but the conditions perfectly match Pokémon GO. It's safe to say just like Niantic's other big collectathon game that each Foundable has a specific "flee rate" percentage. After each resist of a spell, the game rolls a figurative die to determine whether the confoundable will whisk away your valuable target. Rarer Foundables likely have higher flee chances, making the use of spell strengthening potions ever more valuable.
Open Your Daily Challenges To Make Them Count
This is one that's ruined my day more than once. If you're the kind to get addicted to virtual check-lists, the Daily Assignments tab will be your best friend. The challenges within are the same each day, so it's not unnatural to head out of the house, fire the game up, and go about your business.
But then you get home after completing what it usually asks of you just to notice it hasn't counted a single one. Why? Because you have to actually open the Daily Challenge page each day before it begins to count your progress. It's an unforgivable design choice that Niantic really should work to fix. In fact, it might already be fixed by the time you ready this. Just double check before you waste your own time (and energy).
Registry Ranks Award Profession Scrolls
By the time Wizards Unite introduces Professions to you, you've probably already started to skip the walls of text you've been dealt over the last few hours. If you're then left wondering how to get more scrolls and books to level up your chosen Profession, know that isn't all about fighting your way through different levels of a Fortress. Scrolls and tomes can be acquired by ranking up pages in your registry, so it might be worth using our Area tip up above to farm for levels in your weaker Registry pages to fill in your Profession skill tree faster.
Gestures Speed Up Potions
This is something you'll only really learn by tapping the cauldron on the Potions screen. Gestures can be used to speed up potion crafts by around 15%, gaining you quicker access to your goods and an empty slot to brew again. But figuring them out is up to you.
Or at least it would be if it wasn't for every site under the sun printing them for your convenience. There's a multi-step gesture sequence for every potion in the game. We can't list them all here, but a quick Google search will get you far. Once you've used the unique sequence on 3 of the same potions, it will be saved in your game for quick reference. They won't have you flailing your phone around in public, either. They're all on-screen gestures like swipes and pinches. Though there is the occasional phone shake.
Weather Changes Everything
This is one that might take a little more time to reliably comment on. Just like Pokémon GO, the weather in your area can have dramatic effects on your gameplay patterns. Rain, Sun, Wind, and even the amount of clouds in the sky will alter things like spawns. You'll mostly notice a change in the types of ingredients you find on your travels, but weather can also change the Foundables you might come across. They'll never outright deny certain things from spawning, but they can drastically boost or lower probabilities.
Data Assets To Save Data
Wizards Unite doesn't download fully from your app store of choice - whether it's iOS or Android. Either to speed up access or to save on space, it only downloads the absolute essential elements from the start and will download the rest as and when you need them. That means every time you tap a new Foundable out in the field, you'll be spending your precious data plan downloading the 3D model, animations, and sounds that make it up. Will so many graphical elements in Wizards Unite, that can really begin to chip away at your allowance.
The best way to combat this is to force a complete download while connected to your home WiFi. To do that, just tap into your Suitcase and hit the cog icon in the top left to reach the Settings screen. Scroll all the way to the bottom and you'll see a "Download All Assets" option. Wizards Unite is a big game. Over 3 GB at least. So make sure you can afford to lose that much storage space on your device before you start. And check back regularly. Updates add new content, and if you see a little red circle on that option, there's something new to download.
