every writer is different. but as someone who has written multiple WIPs that i haven’t finished and won’t ever finish, it personally isn’t a big deal to me when another writer hasn’t updated their WIP or has abandoned it. life happens, inspiration leaves. lately, a lot of people have been commenting on my WIPs asking for updates and like... i’m sorry dudes i just do not have an answer for you!!! maybe i will update when inspiration hits or maybe i won’t ever write for it again!! i just do not know. 

and i feel bad about it. bc i’m flattered that people are interested enough in my work to want to keep reading more. but also i’m a lazy af writer with very little motivation/desire to write for my old WIPs rn. but at the same time i don’t think i’ve gotten to a point where i want to abandon them. if it happens, it’ll happen. that’s the closest thing to an answer i’ve got.
