it would be incredibly unwise for me to try to go to comiket next sunday (by which point i will be in japan) because it's the weekend after i move in and i will most likely be extremely busy trying to make 'have functional apartment with hot water and potentially even A Stove or Refrigerator' and 'eat at least one food of some kind' and 'not implode entire paperwork situation in some capacity* when i sign up with utilities/banks' all happen instead, but graahh i'm so cheesed that stuff like that is even gonna be an option (especially for smaller/'only' events centered on specific fandoms etc) i dig doujin culture SO much and i have THOUGHTS about what the western fanwork scene could and should take away from it. my admiration for it just won't end... (...sorry, joak comprehensible to the like 2.5 other people in anglosphere fandom aware that the MiA circle event is named 'this admiration/longing won't end' which is both a major theme of the show and line in its opening and a fitting and touching description of what being active in and passionate about fanwork feels like)
