to say that he's embarrassed when he inadvertently hijacks their shared body would be... an understatement. that's Legacy's job! he's the one who always pops out to see you because he's just so excited and can't hold back, not Ajax. but Legacy was so relaxed in your arms, purring and trilling drowsily, and Ajax wanted to hug you so badly, just for a moment. he didn't even notice until you gave him an idle squeeze, warmth and comfort seeping into his bones before he sits bolt upright, apologies falling from his mouth like snow. his cheeks are red as a rose, looking everywhere but your face as he apologizes over and over again for ruining your time with Foul Legacy

Ajax blinks when he feels your hands on his, gently squeezing his fingers in reassurance before you abruptly pull him down onto the cushions, into your waiting arms

he instinctively tenses at the sudden motion, then completely melts as you hug him, burying his nose into the crook of your neck with a soft sigh. his coppery hair tickles your skin as he nearly squeezes the life out of you, his signature grin on his face except laced with content and genuine delight. he hums when you begin peppering each freckle on his cheeks with a light kiss, kindly reminding him that you love him just as much as you love Foul Legacy and running a hand through his hair, causing Ajax to press against your palm as you poke his soft cheek
